Edmund  Black, commenting on “weary weighted,”

I agree with Kim; This is poetry at its best :)“

both of you shush!

there is no “better” in poetry

mine yours theirs, alive or not,

just gasps tears and blood
whimsical smiles and isles
cuts and burns of pained revelations,
hidden in fog,
that words try to delete away,
through the shrouded mists of
human tissues,
unconstrained by the
bounded shape
of the human cell,
our first, our own
self-imposed jail

tissue, too,
baby soft, or,
purple beating majestic bruised blotches
by those weaklings whose
kindness never
fully developed;
or old man mine whose
skin cells erodes, so poems and light
weary weighted, lightly flake off
for your “betterment”
mostly tho for worse

good humans all await,
in patientce lightly hidden,
residents of dark sunspots
in the glaring existence exposer
of the unlit lighthouse whose time will come

they get it

how we get there unimportant

get there

GET THERE

get there
that is the poetic
mission critical

no path best or style preferred-
no compare just, but,
any path that
lifts and elevates,
to the commonplace

the common place

where all costarred, universal,
where common is the temple mount
of highest praise, holy smoke rising,

a place that
that discloses and closes,
is scribed/described honestly as
a connective,
which is the simplest
successive

call my poems,
blessedly common!

that an honorable,
so gladly accepted
and
so much more meaning-full
than merely best or better

for that,
I’d gladly weep,
for no praise
ever been
bettered

‘I am…’ 'Or am I’? Who can say?
‘A posteriori’ leads the way
For the extra and the ordinary
Axiomatic sway,
In the gravity of corollary,
‘A priori’ interplay
Ataraxic overlay of anxious automation,
As the innocence of dissonance delay.
Practicing semantic contemplation,
In willfully prevenient interpolation,
Civilly disobedient in expediently seeming disarray,
Forecasts in vague extrapolation
Contrasts the millennial contagion
Already underway,
Filling nihilistic voids with particles in waves,
To interpret dreams of Freud to free Oedipus’s slaves,
A degreeless scholastic who never misbehaves,
Simulated humanoid dramatic in the affect that he craves,
Inflating linguistics in acrobatic raves,
A thespian who plans conation with legacy engraves.
The probabilistic determiner of cosmogenous debates,
An apperceived inquirer of qualitative states,
Inspiring proprietor of dismality abates.
Challenging aporia as epistemic oscillates,
Stoically, heroically, ‘one’ who amalgamates,
Circling the infinite in hermeneutic calibrates.
An escaped prisoner from depressive disillusion,
Of an introspective extrovert who finds solace in confusion,
The personable recluse fighting an illusion
Breaking down the nuances of every institution.
Calculating consequence as time goes to infinity
Revolutionary commonsense of principal utility,
An opinionated adversary,
to the realist without evidence,
Theorizing in futility,
Stipulating every sense leading to the virility of the pretense that dominates community.
Divergently converging all the efforts we’ve personified,
Inadvertently submerging old traditions that unethically were codified,
Hastening the urgency for purging that which cannot be modified through the merging of the certainty that will no longer coincide,
Stationing the levies to finally stem the tide,
Of periodic enmities disguised to be necessities so blatantly deified.
Observing moral sentiments, perched upon eternity,
As consequential regiments are expounded universally,
To unstratify the residents indiscriminately
And identify quantum elements spiritualistically,
Changing collective behavior individually,
Socializing constructs in joint ventured logo therapy.
This is an edited, expanded, expounded, confounded, reverberation of Linguistic Illusions to Probable Solutions written months back.

You grow wild and reverential,
Your bowed white heads
Gather in prayer groups,
Dotting the well-kept lawn of the dead.

Do the residents tend to you?
Do their icy-white greenfingers
- reanimated by the winter moon -
Awaken you with a deathly touch?

So strong was the smell of flowers today being Mother's Day such a beautiful sunny no
clouds
In the blue shy kind of day birds singing happy rejoicing of the fact that summer Is
here
I laid my flowers at my sweetheart's feet all graves around were covered In beautiful flowers perfume from the
flowers
differing through the air a thought crossed my mind
I though If I
we're
to become resident on beautiful day that I wouldn't
mind
so peaceful and so very quite but for the birds who sing for all the residents
here
Birds are singing there gorgeous tunes for the residents and for my wife I laid flowers on her grave on this Mother's Day

After the departure of the Romans
we were our own bosses again
at war with each other

The sergeants took over
first the peripheral areas
then the middle land

Only behind the mountains
the residents still resist
longing for a king of their own

as once
his sword shone
his sword shines

immovably stuck
in the eyes of the people
dreaming of a peaceful life

a passed-on promise, for once
but unfortunately
the sword has disappeared

Collection “Secrets & Believers”
It was visceral
My gut clenched like I was falling in a dream
Deep in the core of me
Where the parasympathetic neuron bundles coalesce
And tell you to be calm

They were yelling
The wave of their signalling swept across the whole of me
I tingled and itched from my scalp to my toes
All the tiny blood vessels expanded
Fueling the sensory nerves of my skin,
My pupils dilated
My mouth salivated
I wanted to reach out with every bit of me
I wanted to expand to consume and experience every part of the world
To touch everything
To feel everything
Taste and Smell and See everything
I wanted to invent new organs of sensation
To better understand it, to experience more, to feel all of it

I jumped up
Like a dog
And reveled in the pure ecstatic joy of the sensory intensity
Every smell, the ambient humidity, the warm breeze
The color, the warmth of the sun,
The sounds of all the biologic engines of the world
Each of which was individually responsible for an infinite joy
And together were even more

It was a feeling that lasted only moments
And faded in soft turns
Till I became acclimated and in time oblivious
And the grass was once again, just grass
And the flowers were just weeds
And the dogs, and the children and the people in the town
Were just local residents going about their secret lives
And not the heaving mass of cells and life,
Climaxing in the moment of their existence to become more
Residents and citizens of any delegation
To uphold our values we must first face our fears
These are truly those teachers
Of the darkest psychic orders
Of which you often hear us speak
Music is supportive for a number of unknown reasons
But are you really ready to be entrusted
With any of these sacred arrows, keys or codes
When your fantasies are still as ******
As whatever you are momentarily holding
In those perfumed ivory fingers
Which linger on our appendages
Long after we have removed them
In waves of ecstatic (embryo)genesis
Parthenogenic vibrations don't generally unfold
Nor do undulations of salubrious sound
Gyrating on your watery mounds of Venus
Necessarily cleanse us of our sediments
Still sentimental sandcastles escape from your mouth
As skyscrapers and shrouds of gossamer fabric
Are found to be loud like the wind
Yet remain neither visible to the eye
Nor palpable to touch
You begin to attune our souls to the beginning
As if the source of moisture
Is to be found only in our shadows
You are balancing on *******
While concrete still lingers in our ears
We are here and now quite beautiful
Yet bound to fall asleep over and over again
For what often seems like an eternity
Like real men and women
We will try to occupy these predicaments
And stand on solid ground
While letting our mouths water
Just a little at the sound
Of all the empty promises
That you're handing out

Here is a loving reminder:
I am proud of you tonight
So please continue shining
Your light on my unconsciousness
Illuminate my ignorance
And finish the job you have started
Because if not, we may never move beyond it

one

When it comes to selling a pure soul to Devils
There are basically three good-looking levels

What we ought to be analyzing first
Known as quenchless material thirst

This is where you ever start being flirty
With anything iniquitous and/or *****

Seeing estate, ranks or things as somewhat valuable
Is precisely what makes you weaker and more fallible

Watch out! Once you’re out of your humble abode
It’s tough to come back from that tempting road

Still rather innocent level to be at
Heads up! You don’t know what it might beget

Even violating a red light for that matter
Will help you get worse. No. Not better

Fly might be too little, but think in the ointment
Not worth it to dishonor your biggest commitment

Being a human, that is. As the day you were born
Ponder on it for a sec! Before you scorn

Evidently at this stage, the relation with money
Is like a baby bear and a jar of honey

Little by little minds are ravished
Easy come easy go. Lots are lavished

Enough number of bad deeds to practice
Sure elevated you way higher than apprentice

You’re already accustomed to being unfair
Before you know it, you’ll forget how to spare

As time passes by, you’re at the very threshold
Of Daemon’s pawn shop, where dignities bought and sold

Please stop acting like you don’t have a clue
We all know, this didn’t come out of the blue

Deliberately avoided to get a rain check on this
It’s nobody’s fault now, you chose being amiss

two

Then, of course my friend, has arrived the second
Where the Old Nick from the above beckoned

Congrats! You graduated from dirt to sewer
The last thing you need though is a respirator

Masters give you orders now, looking like requests
You’re already a guard-dog, with no right to quest

Good news though, the pay offs are way bigger
Can you dig it? You sneaky, cheeky digger

Including but not limited to bribing
Cutting in lines, cheatings, lies or bid rigging

Then come rip-offs, swindles and deceits
A whole lot of rotten bucks with no receipts

Agreements, clients, customers to take care
Simply for the sake of your modest share

Don’t get carried away, we’re focusing on vicious
Deals of the bad guys, who are too ambitious

To go for the sinless mass, and trick them for wealth
Also playing with their education and health

Or else any clean trade with sweat and decency
Is not the subject here, except positive recency

What do I mean by that? Positive stays in mind
Little good news every day, to keep crowds all blind

Anyway, where were we? Let’s just keep proceeding
To describe to folks, what the hell’s really happening

Style counts, huh? All ties and jackets
While squirrelling away the fortune in buckets

It’s legit, it’s shapely. It’s not artifice.
Make no mistake. Around here, we call it business

Regardless of whose, walk away with all you could
At the end of the day, you’re not ******* Robin Hood

How fascinating, virtually as good as it gets
Go Figure. The last step, where the Evil One besets

three

You’re at the third and last phase already
His highness the Satan is now your sugar daddy

Civil rights, law, ethics, and much more to violate
The upper the stairs, the more to annihilate

Get ready straight to make millions suffer
From that armored zone of yours, you call buffer

Say; having children work, for real late hours
Well, it’s their children, right? Not ours...!

Going for pension plans of the most innocent
Is mere prize to you. Almost magnificent

Causing conflicts to sell even more weapons
What’re you gonna do man? **** just happens...!

Resolutions, legality, votes and members
Are tools to Lucifer. But who remembers.

Vietnam, Africa and all Middle-East
Where you have real wars to feed your beast

Journalists, congressmen, soldiers or presidents
On the payroll in this firm and bunch of happy residents

As you step up, one day you will realize
Almost all the wealth belongs to you and your allies

But that won’t make you stop from chasing your goals
Remember, Beelzebub already bought your souls

Don’t know the first thing, why the rest’s so stupid
Distorted religion maybe or TV makes them this torpid

Better this way anyway, cos (because) if they awake
You’ll have to ****’em all to keep your dear stake

Once you’re registered in this ****** parade
You get paid as long as your role is well-played

Thus, it will be a ******* habit for you to breach
Anything and everything that’s within your reach

Crème de la crème treatment will be your regular
Etiquette is your last name, you shameless embezzler

But, hey. You’ll look very good in that high-end camouflage
All this charade to you is one good Swedish Massage

I don’t think one will ever solve this double-bind puzzle
So keep up the good work with your stinky razzle-dazzle

Meanwhile, refrain from looking in the mirror
I forgot. It’s only business and you’re not a sinner

Dude! It’s about time now, you can die rich
Just before that however; here’s one last preach

You look sharp alright, charismatic and ****
One day you’ll regret all this, I’m not just whistling Dixie

Come around and behave. Labyrinth calls your class
Take it all otherwise and shove it up your ***

They had their summer kid house,
On the slopes of the big house,
Under the big tree,
Thatched roof, walled and cool.

The house was big for the two of
them to cozy in,
They even had a attic
With bed facing a window,
Window had a opening
With Macaw cage outside,
At times she sat there
talking to the bird,
Looking over the stream that flow down the hill.

Each summer they spent
All their time there,
They ran down the beach to fight the mighty waves,
And came back to there den to
feast on their feat.

Soon they grew and big they become,
College had become there second home,
In vacation he came, she was already there,
She sat in the thatched house,
Talking the the bird,
He made her meet his 'new' friend
In college they had grew close,
'She' was gorgeous and beautiful,
And had all his attention for now.

'She', the new friend would love to sit in the big house,
and would like breakfast on the
big table,
Beach 'she' would avoid for it will
tan 'her' skin,
Summer house was no place for
'her' to reside.

He tried desperate to be in the den,
Sometimes he came alone,
Sometimes at night he slept there,
Mornings will be with  Macaw and the stream flowing down,
Beaches were now a sneaking affair,
For he went only when he could fair.

Vacation ended and so did all,
He came to meet her to say her good bye,
She was in the den, eating her breakfast alone,
He came and took a bite
from her plate,
He said, wait I will come
back soon,
To share this unfinished
breakfast room,
She knew that instant,
that her friend is back.

For the one who can't love the den,
Cannot share the life of her friend,
The cozy place was not aloof now,
The Macaw too was happy and sound,
The stream was singing too,
And the beach was crowded huge,
The residents have come back
And life had returned too.

HUMAN CONDITIONS

To the entire planet and all its occupants,
We have had some complaints by other inhabitants,
It seems one particular race is causing the disturbance,
Ignoring quiet enjoyment of all other existence,
We would kindly like to remind all of earth’s residents,
That no single species owns more power or precedence,
So please carefully read over the below,
Any questions please dont hesitate to let us know,

1. No race will devastate entire ecosystems for capital gain.
2. No race will mass ****** for mass power.
3. No race will rage wars or cause deliberate pain.
4. No race will mass slaughter and mass devour.
5. No race will pollute with stolen materials from precious terrain.
6. No race but the human race will be entirely to blame.

We thank all occupants for their cooperation,
And we kindly remind all that there will soon be a routine inspection.

Kind Regards,
I am Jimmy.

Fuller, or Mr Fuller
as he wanted
to be called,
not his first name
like the other elderly men
in the nursing home.

He was upright, tall,
and with a clipped moustache,
and dark starey eyes.

He had been
a Guards officer,
and still maintained
a military bearing
despite his age.

Now and then
he would have a fit
and collapse on to the floor,
and I remembering
my nursing advice
to remain cool, calm
and collective,
moved him
into a recovery position.

The other elderly residents
in the lounge
where he fell
would back away
from him
as If he had leprosy.

He never talked
about his war experiences,
unlike other men,
who related about
the Somme or Passendale.

He's an odd sod,
Jim said,
an officer of sorts,
unlike us ranks,
knee-deep in mud
and blood and guts.

Fuller's not one of us,
George said,
snooty blighter.

I formed no opinion of him;
he seldom spoke to me,
and never about
his war or life.

He spoke to one or two
of the women
in a gentlemanly manner,
stood when they entered
the room or sat at table.

I tried to get close to him,
but was never able.

I got up as usual
with the help of alarm
But still dark
It's almost 7.00 am
Just look down from window
All residents of the flat
standing under common lights On
Yes!!
Sun failed to raise for the first time
Sorry
Earth failed to move
Now
All news channel are peek in "TRP
Rating" for the one last time
One part of the earth going
to die and efforts will be taken
to transport population to other part of the shinning world..
Hereafter just DAY in one part
and NIGHT in another.
Within few days entire population will get shifted to other part
And
hoping within few years people travel with cylinder to enjoy nights.
All government decided
No need to travel to other dead planet.
Travelling and surviving other side our earth going to be great challenging..
NASA drops all other planet expedition and move their base to dark side of our planet..
Again my alarm went off
Oh
It's a dream!!

everything is gold like honey
dark as night
a flame that burned out too soon
as red as a rose or
blood
or my own anger
at only thinking in
cliches
let me break free and see
a world where
the sky is as blue as a reflection of the sky in a lake
no,
no that one's too silly
or maybe a place where i can wade through a field
of murmurs
dark as blackberry jam
or see the sky is orange peels and musky pinks the color of cat's paws
drenching the world in soft bedsheets of sleepy brightness
new, something new, please
give me a forest as green as a leatherbound book
with pages made of tree rings and little words
skittering around, and hunting, and sleeping, and playing
with the other little words
I want to see an ocean that holds reflections
the stars live there, and fishes live within their brightness
planets and corals hold secret worlds
and little creatures and galaxies of nonsense and daydreams
and when you look down you are there too
and they don't really pay you any mind, because after all
there is rather a lot already going on
I want my brain to live someplace new
build houses for new ideas
use old ideas as framing and build, and paint, and have a welcome party for its new residents
make a cake that has chocolate and raspberries and some other ingredients that you don't quite remember
give yourself a change of scenery,
you deserve to know that your mind is as endless as the universe that lives in the ocean
if you would only let it breathe

We soon got wind of of the crime: he wound up with a wound but weathered it fairly well, waiting for the affair to wind down while they wondered whether windy weather had played a role affecting the whole scene. The effect of the hole, (seen in court) was downplayed, read at the hearing as a likely red herring.

The jury, having heard, gave their verdict as a herd; unanimously.
(And, more famously, anonymously.) The infamously failed assassination set precedents for presidents as we asked, as a nation, to have safety take precedence over presidential presence, urging all residents to monitor their residence since shooters deft for lead could leave others left for dead indeed.

The casings were recovered, and the whole case covered by the press (though some journalists, pressed by the particulars of the case, cased out the possibility of covering close-up) until the case closed up.
Barely made it on PROMPT #14:
write a poem that incorporates homophones, homographs, and homonyms,
or otherwise makes productive use of English’s ridiculously complex spelling rules and opportunities for mis-hearings and mis-readings.
