The belated summer sky is alive with a  D r a g o n f l y ballet Beneath,.. the rain parched sod lay sullied, cracked open by an unsated thirstiness awaiting the painted autumn days and the cleansing rain's renewal A lace-winged hatch rises skyward — meandering  airborne — drifting upwards like a burst of dust dissipating in an invisible cloud of eventide's silent breath Darting shadows hover above a seeker's curiosity     just this side the   softening sunset backdrop A synthesis of fluid motion   – darting kinesis –     swift agile fliers steal away over the thirsty pond; their mesmerizing beauty enchants as the dimming dusk falls silent —- embellishing the unrelenting ending    another summer's  imminent curtain call; reminding how inexorable-time is only a contrived human notion, a recurring extrapolation   of passing  seasons Heightening awareness: how we too are only passing through these unholdable moments    coming to know     we cannot stop    how life unfolds The raindrops will quench the pond's aching thirst again one fall someday...   — hereafter — there will be another beauty of dragonflies some other eyes will see preying on another burgeoning gossamer-winged hatch           and another beckoning autumn when the dragonflies hover below the gazing totems      in the treetops Jesse Stillwater ... after five times the poem of thy remembrance surprises with refrain of unreasoning summer that by responding ways cloaked with renewal my body turns toward thee again for the stars have been finished in the nobler trees and the language of leaves repeats eventual perfection while east deserves of dawn. i lie at length, breathing with shut eyes the sweet earth where thou liest

After Five
It is worse for a tulip to live again and be renewed than for the tulip to die and be dead. “What happens when you die?” I asked several romantic partners over the course of my adolescence. “You’re dead,” they answered. It is worse for the tulip to be born again, dust to dust, dirt to dirt, true god from true god, in a process that spiritual peers define as, reincarnation. No tulip is an individual (that is clear), but a process. A perfecting oneness. I can’t admit or bend to any resounding belief that every tulip is the same. That FernGully was a farce and Pocahontas, a phony. That is just not going to fly. Maybe it is the environmentalist inside me speaking, or maybe it is God. I refuse to believe the prodigies and professors of renewal and rejuvenation. I can not discount individuation, even in tulips! Tulips are victims of suburbia, they have been relegated to the lawn, to the mulch bed, but inside of them there are remnants of humanity. I couldn’t believe it, ever. Not ever, even if you convinced me or bribed me or seduced me. No chance.

Spring is the awaited child, seeds to plant, plans to explore, conjuring promise and renewal, That awakens our soul. Summer inspires with long sunny days basking in the embrace of green crops growing, relief from heat under leafy trees, leisurely nights of clean skies, bright stars on high to infinity. Fall comes as a warning beacon, days of long shadows, cool nights with chill breeze, bedecked trees in reds and yellow. The report of hunters guns from the depths of the forest. Winter's a prelude to gloom, short days, low sun when it appears, wind-chills that burn. Snow to shovel, ice to befuddle. Conjuring envy and impatience for the return of Spring. So the seasons flow one into another, while every year lived the cycles grow shorter, with no guarantees of how many more may follow.

As the windmill turns with the wind, the storm brings much needed rain. With each drop, renewal begins, relieving the parched land its pain. Sweet water of the Earth, life's essence, within the wind, the windmill drinks. Storing the source within a pond, bringing the desert from the brink. Noses catching the scent of rain, wild Burro's enjoy their play. Turns the windmill as the wind blows, clouds block the sun, blessing shade. The land breathes a sigh of relief. Life is given back once again. The clouds empty themselves of rain, as the windmill turns with the wind.

Wings a flitter Iridescent feathers a glitter Hovering briefly at a flower top Usually not long enough to truly stop This precious one of avian design I  see delicately perched upon a twisted vine The sun glinting off the ruby throat Making it easy for on this one to dote Although this perch may be brief It does bear out my belief That the light of her essence Has me blessed in her presence Medicine, absent of strife Filled with the nectar of life Life that bears the scars of complexity Yet revels in the miracle of synchronicity Placed on my path with divine intention I would be remiss to discount this intervention And yet fail to mention... A renewal of mon couer and the magic of living For this is the medicine that hummingbird is giving And for me it is so easy to see She is Nenookaasi

Let the place of the solitaires Be a place of perpetual undulation. Whether it be in mid-sea On the dark, green water-wheel, Or on the beaches, There must be no cessation Of motion, or of the noise of motion, The renewal of noise And manifold continuation; And, most, of the motion of thought And its restless iteration, In the place of the solitaires, Which is to be a place of perpetual undulation.

The Place Of The Solitaires
I wonder if the color green releases calm and renewal energies because it is the earth's carpet, magnetizing us down to earth. I wonder if the color red wraps around passion and chaos because the blood in our veins rush evermore when we see something we love, and it rushes to our brain when our world turmoils. I wonder if the color blue spreads hope for the sky as a crutch for those who have nowhere else to look but up to their god or to the formation of clouds that one cannot make sense of their cotton candy essence. I wonder what color we are. What color does the earth reflect on us? Are we chameleons, morphing into different shades by the hour or are we permanent markers, bleeding deep? Maybe we are gray and receive color by what we surround ourselves with. That's how science works, right? A reflection of light in our retinas. I am purple. There is a cloud of mystery and romanticism that shields me like a cloak, but my emotions run like rich velvet. Maybe one day I'll find a yellow who bursts rays of warmth. I think I would like to be with a yellow one day, the golden hour of colors.

Golden Hour
We are all a garden of sorts. We all spring up from a single seed. And like a flourishing tree or an expanding bush we can branch out and multiply in number and in strength surrounded by tender loving care, being watered by others, paid close attention to as the gardener nurtures us to maturity. We bloom. We blossum. Beauty abounds. Our colors come forth in a harmony of hues upon every petal and every leaf. But then come the weeds that choke out our foliage and wrap around our roots, our foundations. The weeds of hatred, the weeds of bitterness the weeds of loneliness, the weeds of shame, the weeds of fear, and depression invade. Bugs infest our garden and eat away at us, tormenting us, picking away at us, and the beauty and produce that once was the glory of our garden has gone away. Did we do this to ourselves? We often wonder. Did the gardener get too passive, get too neglectul and uncaring and forget to tend the garden? Maybe we were not strong enough to take up the fight, wilting, fading in the sun. Yet even a dying flower produces seeds of growth, and of renewal, as a rebirth will come from its entrance into the earth. Even the most tragic looking of sickly plant life will have a comeback, a resurrection of sorts when golden raindrops do fall again like prayers from the sky. And so it is the gardener was never asleep on the job, did not neglect the duties. And like all healthy ones do abundant food shall grow once again in our garden, fragrant flowers, and branches for the birds to perch upon when at one time all seemed dead and hopeless and lost.

Miscommunication serendipity, anticipation, blurred reality - lost in the dialect of a dream, in pursuit of Love find callous irony; subversion of desire what's it all about? to know and be known. Mere seconds of scrutiny inferior, I am shown. Her appraisal eviscerating my warm flesh, her tilted criteria supplanting the interior, voluble with saccharine neologisms and preferences for the exterior. (not mine) Ironic was my attraction to her brain. Lines, features and symmetry, image - the commodity, aesthetics, the currency in this transaction, cursory liaison, incendiary, collapse of the insurgent ego - there was no us in the the affair of nothingness. Bruised in abasement, I'm not the one -   I thought I was. Hyperbole - the center of delusion, a curious diversion - avoid my life. The allure of the illusion, transference, the ordinary to the romantic, the perfect other. Searching, the absorbing project - aquiring wholeness, did she reject me? I rejected me. The escape into fraudulent sadness, to mourn, is to displace, the disowned heart by self is tragic.   Should I not mourn for the one I'm deferring? Inside of me It's safe, to lament the loss of identity - tension is agony without resolve sequestered, in my pain, self-imposed familiar terrain, upon retrieval, awaking in renewal, mystery and destiny providentially, I am free.

A Few lines etched where no words give weight. Good riddance say the veterans Of a nation gone sour with grief Like a lemon slice evaporating onto the tongue of the sick. But when the young yearn for White Nights, The old claim they are blinding lights to the cold sugary substance That supplants an easy path. The bullithole rush of renewal and loneliness and progress thwarted and abandoned, Inertia seeping through Into a cold summer's day. Between the cursing slant of sleek paved roadstrips, And the burning briars that thresh the border's haunt, What is picture postcard emerald Is in that same instance soviet architect gray. These are the sleepers bereft of the dream whose twenty-five stories high or ghost estates are domes to cast out the howling banshees, those suffrage of the real to be re-thought as mere props which surround the haloed glowing screen. So sheen the Motherland glows in untarnished eyes Familiar solely with glass behemoths parading with their reflections In grey water-drizzled streets, Only to be replaced by iridescent rainbows that foster a hope. A hope that was packaged and sold two decades back Since it was not worth carrying into the New World. Emerald and Scarlet as They Merge Into Grey
A Silence stirs within the people, As the King anoints his knight. The man of righteous renewal, From the very start. So it began, His journey across Tamriel. Searching for a way, To save his people. Armor of White, Spear of the dragon. He comes to fight, Those who oppose him. His only distraction, A fair maiden. With lips of ruby, Hips of curve. She can ****** anyone, Then rob their home. She sneaks within the night. Only to serve. Nocturnal the Daedric Goddess of the Dark World. Evergloom shail it be. When they cross paths. Each night they meet... So goes the Son of Skyrim, Being tricked. By the anointing Imperial. Mother of the Pack.

Knight, Journey, Trick
A sea of gratitude splashes onto the inner walls of this humbled heart within me. Seasons, poets, places, people, singing, devotion, faith, trust... Years have rained down like petals from a flowering tree. Abundance blesses me in true simplicity. As my soul enters the womb of renewal, unexpected blessings wing across the world to say hello from where our sun already shines. Manila, New Zealand, Delhi, Chennai, where you are it is already morning,   and the warm sunlight of your day shines in your greetings and wishes. May the bliss that you bring me, dear world family, splash all over your own dear hearts, and may peace and harmony be ours on this beautiful blue planet!

Another Solar Return
men and their egos (I turned twenty this summer) are inseparable insufferable begrudgingly they admit “guess you were right” believing that will make them heroes, by full on confessing they are ******** I turned twenty in the summer my tan legs in cutoffs (it’s summer) drives them to madness, accused, you are pitiless, for their dreams of you involve ransom   still, you search and quiet plead like Abraham, to the heated air, while listening to Whitney Houston and Ed Sheeran, (on your earbuds just so nobody knows your weakness) for just that one good man in the township of ***** and Gomorrah my mother bitter sneers good luck with that, forgetting I am now twenty years so old, so advanced, that my hopes and aspirations are no longer those the ones in my high school yearbook my poetry fills pages, a human urban renewal, laying out a city of hope recalling that ***** and Gemorrah were destroyed

Emerald and Scarlet As They Merge Into Grey
The listening stopped a while ago. It’s like the monotonous sounds spewing from your mouth just didn’t meet the qualifications of entering my ears. It wasn’t always like that, though. You used to deliver information to my being like you were the great Giving Tree. And I was a nearby flower. A delicate, nearby flower. A flower that went about its normal routines, such as photosynthesis or pollination or other flower things. Ah, those flower things. To me they are everything. This flower would blossom in the spring and wither in the winter. I would spend my flower days in the summer breathing in the glowing sunlight and living my flower life. And in the fall, I would spend my flower nights rocking in the breeze, waiting for winter to come and bring me my renewal period. I would look with my flower eyes toward you, the great Giving Tree. Tall and ***** like the unstoppable force. And I, there on the ground, the immovable object. Your knowledge was so delightful at first. It lit up my surrounding flower world more than the Sun ever could. Your knowledge would come at all hours of the day, no matter rain or shine. I remember once a long time ago when I was a little, tiny flower. It was raining on my little tiny flower head. But you knew what to tell me, great Giving Tree. The rain that would beat pitter-patter on my pedals. The water that would run down my stem. You with your knowledge would tell me “Soak up the water my son. You need as much as you can hold.” And I did just what you said. Because I knew you were an unstoppable force, and could never be wrong. And I, as the immovable object, would never let something stop me. And then there was the time when I was an older, bigger flower. The Sun was shining on my older, bigger flower head. And you knew what to tell me, great Giving Tree. The sunlight that shine zig-zag on my pedals. The shadow that would cast from my stem. You with your knowledge would tell me “Soak in the sunlight my son. You need as much as you can hold.” And I did just what you said. Because I knew you were an unstoppable force, and could never be wrong. And I, as the immovable object, would never let something stop me. But now I am a current, normal flower. The world is passing by my current, normal flower head. And you knew what to tell me, great Giving Tree. You with your knowledge…. Said nothing to me, your son. I didn’t know what to take in. So I did just what you didn’t say. And I just kept watching the world float by you, great Giving Tree. You, the unstoppable force. And I just kept watching the world float by me, the delicate flower. Me, the immovable object. And for the rest of our days you said nothing to me. You don’t pass your knowledge to me, your delicate flower son. Your immovable object. And I stop listening to you, my great Giving Tree. My unstoppable force. The monotonous sounds spewing from your mouth just don’t meet the qualifications of entering my ears anymore. The relationship we had has faded away. But I had a feeling neither of us would win when we first met. “Because you know what happens when the unstoppable force meets the immovable object.”

When the ashes Gave birth At the renewal Of Earth The deities Had all gone Insane But when The Mother sighed Volcanoes and tides She washed Those demons To space In the Muck of Wonder One cell became two Upon this consciousness The human race grew Until the volcanoes and tides    When the Earth realigns...

VOLCANOES AND TIDES
catch me like a fish everlasting supplier of light rays- warming the soul like a cup of hot tea on a sleepy sunday afternoon - melancholic - swaying the universe the mermaids sing in the mornings mesmerizing the sailors and i am the singer and the mesmerized i am free. i am free from the ropes. free from the chains of a dreary existence. i can feel it i can feel it on the tip of my eyelashes with the swells of tears pouring out. - renewal - - relief - i am a good girl. listener of tall tales and fantasies. spur of the moment night crawler caller. i spin a beautiful web of fantastical clouds. from ropes to cakes. pick your poison. i am a bad girl. keeper of secrets. silent truths bundled under creative happiness and weakly disguised love affairs. - blink and it’s over - i’ll lie in your lap and watch you write- spinning fantastical tales of glorious awakenings. new beginnings.- pull my hair up to attention. i am here. i am wanted. want want grab me. want//need. clever disguises. silent truths. wispy truths. childhood pencil marks. pig tail sneakers. truth drops into heads. eyes drop onto the floor. teeth sink into lips. heart drops into stomach. limbs fold over limbs and the being falls slowly upon itself. when i wasn’t mine. she wanted me more than she could stand. stabbed me with a ************* pencil. made my heart drop into my ************* stomach.

melancholic mermaid love affairs
My being craves a sun so vibrant an unwinding summer for my wilted heart anew Heat that gives the air such humid kisses leaving it stifling, sweet, and sticky Rays of fiery gold that pierce my cold, pale, and weathered skin Rushes of warm air flowing over my body heating me up burning my skin melting away my makeup and carrying away the emotions that I wear on my sleeve My heart is eager to be naive, carefree, and open I long to be freed to burst like an overripe plum These walls I’ve built up are ready to fall

Renewal
Yellow like the sun Like a light, like direction Bright shining light in the sky The color of the moon at night The stars at night All providing a way for people to see Yellow like spring Like new hope, like a fresh start Bright yellow flowers The color of baby chicks The leaves of fall blowing away All providing sense of renewal Yellow                                                     like                                                           bright - new - happiness                                     .
