If I could turn back time I would hit Backspace all day, Id put on Caps Lock and SHOUT what I say. I'd use the whole Alphabet To tell you hello, Press seven Numbers Til you picked up the phone. I'd Tab through the comments I didn't want to hear, And use the Arrow Keys To drag your body near. I would Delete the harsh words I didn't mean to speak, And Insert the "I love yous" I before couldn't leak. I would use Ctrl to Keep reigns over my heart, And I would Escape lies That tore us apart. I'd Print out your photo And kiss it goodnight, Use the Calculator To check that we were right. I'd Paint you a picture of us, you and me, Then I'd hit Enter Just so you would see. Those are the things I would do in my strife, If only Backspace worked in real life.

threads of salt drowned land and sea brisk on the shore to the vine of the tree not fruit not sweet but check beauty check redolent check dog named after and sea urchin-robbed the steps taken through the pink the sunken ships the little women with big hair the jewelry that weighed them down to drown drown drown the flower floats like a headstone from the hand of a daughter to the mouth of the sea where God still reigns with a crooked shaft and a helmet long struck by the sky pink the ocean loses its way through the flowers thorns and all

*Long lines looped the carousel the first time you gazed my eye, mounted on that chestnut mare, grasped tight to the reigns up high. I see his face around the bend, a corn dog in his hand. Locking eyes as I rise. I blush, above the crowd he stands.    Light flickers, mouths water delicate contoured lips laugh. I smile. The music hesitates along with my breath. I think I'll be staying awhile. Bewildered and a little dizzy, I dismount with a giggle. I lick my dry lips, dreamily, hoping he is single. With the wind, a light mist blows. I can see her slowly get wet, stumbling she falls my way. I'm excited, this day isn't over yet Drip, drip, drip upon my face, anxiously, I turn to hurry. In my haste, he catches my waist swallowing... I fall covertly. Lips moisten, I pull her near a kiss, slipped, tongues twirl, wanton whispers whisked away, drenched deep passion's unfurl. A stranger's kiss upon my lips beneath the dreary skies. Soaking wet, I'm still on fire He caught me by surprise. A stranger's kiss upon my lips beneath the queching skies. Heaven sent, a burning desire; she, such a welcomed surprise.*

The Affair At The Fair (A Collaboration)
Blowing in the wind, Smells of salt; a hazy mist, Sands of time run through sands so fine, Damp with the tide that crashed like a fist, The sun on the horizon starts to fade. Cold and crisp, we sift through the waves, Capped ice; a foaming delight, They fill the air with sounds so fair, Our toes fall through the water like an anchor, The light falls and the night reigns. Fingers upon fingers, playing on their own, We fall through the air; cutting the sky, My back to the earth, yours to the moon, Our gaze locks like lovers leading light between us, The sounds of the world come alive. A gentle caress against skin so soft, A kindled embrace, rolling against sand so coarse, Passions flair in the darkness, the night breathes heavy, As the ocean kisses the sands, so too our lips, Whispers and sighs cut through the crashing flood.

My Little Black Bear Down by the singing river Dancing with fate Little ducks take to the rapids Away from your dinner table Off to the banks You stand your grounds Tall as you are wide Your initials in the terrain Cursive is the eye tooth that reigns I see you Posing with the lilies, Elves and dwarfs As the western sky looks down Casting whispers Is your closet filled With both helping The meek and sustenance Under the skirts of nature You're having an **** Robbing all the salmon And berries Then slumbering under a tree Tummy full Those big black eyes of yours Catching shut-eye, a couch potato, a game of the week Your wide open mouth Catching a bee, A refreshment That long smile on your face Backpacking a dream Mama and her cubs having your back In some ways My little black bear ... hear, here I see you, in me Logan Robertson 8/08/2018

My Little Black Bear
The process of becoming other than,   the shedding of the old by way of time   the hands upon the clock traverse their span,   the ever fleeting moment reigns, sublime. The emptiness of all objective forms,   the rushing river, never stepped in twice,   the reconfiguration of all norms,   the virtues of lost ages seen as vice, The elements converge and then react,   the caterpillars weave themselves cocoons,   the world amends its stock of gathered facts,   the moths emerge, in flight to greet the moon,       The firmament, destroyed and rearranged,      the universal essence, found in change.

Metamorphosis
gulls and terns spin in the air as waves lullaby the sleepy dreamers with grand tales and rich promise of paradise to be found just over the horizons edge sailors eye to the swift wind sure hand to tackle and line hearty men of salted liquid soil grown to giants in the breakwaters thunder but gentle that hands heart when the tolling bell calls out the names of the lost and the sea has swept away all but her witnessed tale to leave the widows and forlorn child to carve name to wall and mourn past midnight now a dead calm and cloudless sky reigns with a majesty of brilliant starlight upon this sea reflecting the heavens slow march i lay like a supplicant muted by the spectacle to souls hunger this moment and place shows a deeper meaning to thouse souls with eyes to see a dead calm and cloudless sky reigns with a majesty of brilliant starlight the old salt sailor breaks into deep song that sooths and lends hardy meal to the heart hold fast young lad hold fast the morning rushing forward brings the breaking wave and unfolds sail with quick wind and the sailors eye rejoices with merry songs to measure the hour and jauntily bring our fair seabird back to her warm home sea and sand in the salt sailors blood and a kind heart guides the way

This is America for Petes sake Black lives don’t matter here They say they’re being treated unfair But they’re the one’s drinking up all the welfare And we even pay for their health care Poor black folk shouting black lives matter But they don’t matter The only thing that matters is the fat cats getting fatter Build a school or a jail? In a place like Baltimore, those black kids are already bound to fail Let’s not forget from whence we hail We came from abroad to build this house This was never meant to be a game of cat and mouse They don’t know their power, so they will never see their hour Cause you see white people are only safe when those animals scared White people are only safe when white people are feared When black people are teared, and on their face is smeared the blood of their ancestors, on the altar that is prepared The altar that was broken down when we ended Jim Crow Since then look how low our country did go But at last at last now again we can make America great Now again we can end any debate , about what it means to be free Cause when Trump is in charge I’ll tell you, you won’t tell me When Trump is President you'll put your hand over your heart for the anthem, not take a knee When Trump is President, You’ll be satisfied , you’ll lower your fist and you’ll be You’ll be gratified, you’ll shut your mouth and watch your people die You’ll watch them bleed like Alton Sterling, You’ll stand there you’ll cry And then you’ll wonder why, why does the color of your skin decide whether or not you win As you kneel before me thinking about your next of kin, ready to feel these bullets in your body as your reality sets in This country was never your own We brought you here as slaves, you call out for a savior but Abraham Lincoln is dead so you can put down the phone Martin Luther King is dead so you can put down the phone Malcom X is dead, you see,now you’re all alone We’ve infiltrated your culture and now that seed has grown As we watch you destroy each other and continue to postpone anything that looks like freedom Cause you see freedom isnt free We gained ours in 1776 Your ancestors were still in chains but here today you celebrate with me Thinking that you’re free But you will never be free Harriet Tubman freed a thousand slaves And she could've freed a thousand more but they were cheering for Trump in his rallies Because they can’t grasp what it means to be free And that mere truth is the key So we won’t say their names We won’t feel their pains Cause this is the United States of America , and white is right, we still hold the reigns

So lets get this straight: An armed, white man walks into a school, kills 17 students and teachers with a tool that can be bought at just any store by a 19 year old, insane, fool, before being caught, all on Valentine's day, Marking the 30th mass shooting just this year And it's not time to talk about gun control? If they had been black, you'd say "more police" If they had been Mexican, you'd say "build a wall" If they had been Middle-Eastern, you'd say "travel ban" But they're not, they're white, they're mentally ill, so "Report the disturbed" our president says "It's about mental health!" our congress says "But it's not time to talk about gun control" You send your thoughts and prayers, while we're pleading for your help You want to know my thoughts and prayers? I thought our country cared about us I thought our country loved us more than guns And I pray that my school won't be next That my friends won't be mourned on the internet That we might be safe in our unsafe unchanging world Because you won't talk about gun control But you know what? ***** you if you think that's all we're gonna do We're taking this horse by the reigns Knock some sense into that old brain We're organizing, rising up and wising up Taking a stand, and taking a walk Making our voices heard, better watch for that 10 o' clock We will not be complacent in our friends' deaths We've done it before and we will do it again They say "when we're older" I say "why wait till then" These laws are going to change now These deaths have got to be dwindling down Everyone knows kids can be one loud crowd And no, we won't calm down Until no one ignores our outraged sound We will make the politicians come around And finally, gun control will bring peace to our towns And finally, me, my family, and my friends, can feel safe, with long lives ahead, and we can go back to school together again.

 Nihilism at its finest
Bleed black the finest shattered diamonds
Of all the lost hopes and dreams
Outcast Society burning in the ruins of fallen Rome
Cynical skeptics, sarcasm dripping venom
Acid burns through flesh blood and bones
No one gives a **** scream for a savior
Outcast Society burning in the ruins of fallen Rome
 Shards of glass smile razorblades
Plague of loneliness grips your throat
Heart beats darkness through your veins
 **** society, anarchy reigns
Outcast Society burning in the ruins of fallen Rome
Shadow world of gray and stones and broken homes
Bleeding hearts and gutted homes
A black void in collapsing homes
Outcast Society burning in the ruins of fallen Rome
Cesspool of sick and stinking ****
 Hungry ravish burning Rome
Parasitic beasts feeding on lost souls
**** you in and never let you go
False promises of help, burning, burning, burning, blackens the sky
Outcast Society burning in the ruins of fallen Rome
Nevermore the sun shines down on the wretched land

The Emperor left his palace with something shiny on his shoulder it weighed as much as an apple but was the size of a boulder it was the greatest weapon his workers could build the town awaited its appearance even though they had foot the bill Amazing said the scholar as the emperor passed so much power but such little weight this right here can save a country what you hold will educate we will teach people and they will listen and if they won't we will show them this weapon splendid said the old lady as the emperor trotted by I have been waiting all my life for this we must end all wars that is my dying wish now we can do that we can fight off the opposition and make sure peace reigns while our leaders stay in top position I don't get it said the kid and the emperor stopped what could you not understand about my gun? the boy answered this world is full of idiots and while you are surely not one there are people out there who would **** for that gun let's not act like one large weapon can change everybody under the sun what's more likely is that it will only amplify the issues that should be regional we'll proclaim "Our gun is big!" to justify that our choice is final the bigger the gun the more people it could **** and the more people that can die the more people that will

The Emperor's New Gun
Man needs little to endure life's hardships Gold, silver, and jewels plunder a man's soul Water, food, shelter, and companionship Despite life's conquests, must remain the goal Water quenches what possessions cannot A custom carriage fails as a life source Nor does it quench when August days grow hot Nor nourish folks when seasons fall off course Look for umbrage, safety from barren land Shelter to the pains of nature denied Yet, man's elemental resource reigns man The shipwrecked, fed and quenched, unsatisfied Possessions, wealth, and even basic need Can't provide the nourishment humans bleed

Sonnet 1: Companionship
I’m nothing special, I’m nothing sweet, Perhaps to change that, Is what I want to achieve. I’m nothing successful, But what does that mean? Perhaps to understand that, Is what I want to achieve. I don’t know where I’m going, I don’t know what I want, Perhaps to gain perspective, Is what I want to achieve. As confusion reigns all around me, To pass the test of life, Perhaps with flying colours, Is what I want to achieve.

What I think I want (to achieve)?
There she stood. Beautiful. Perfect. As I looked at her she faded away. Not because I was forgetting her, but because she had forgotten me. When the world turns. The days changes. Night's dark veil is pierced by the spear of oncoming daylight. Day reigns triumphant until the darkness arrives, drowning out the light. This endless cycle goes on. My heart beats on. The battles never cease. The war knows no end. But her love knew an end. Without her love, the days seem shorter and the nights drag on. The darkness chokes the light faster than before. The daylight whimpers behind a shield of clouds and rain, Spring drags on. Summer drags on. Fall drags on. Winter drags on. The world drags on. My heart drags on. Missing her. Loving her. Crying for her. The day reminds me of the joy I do not have. The night drowns me with its cool touch. How much longer until the night lasts forever? When will the daylight become a lie I tell my children before they go to bed? Rocks tumble down the hillside of my face. They turn to dust, blowing away in the breeze. The memories of those boulders sting worse than the quake itself. The avalanche of grief in my heart floods any semblance of normality. Life has always found a way to go on. But not for my internal purgatory. My self hating prison of darkness. As the imperfect man waits for heaven or hell, so does my heart wait for judgment.

High above dear Maple Street There looms a cold iron curtain of fear That dares to drop and let all the monsters Unleash their dreaded promise of chaos As in Europe despots gift a new World War Trembling parlors hug the radio Hallows Eve: the radio Begins to sing throughout dear Maple Street The Seventh Trumpet declares all out war And that heavy iron curtain of fear Eclipses the sun and invites chaos In vacant hearts of men into monsters Halloween Night: the monsters Now dance to the tune of the radio Raiding the stores, jumping bridges, chaos Entombing the stretch of this blood strewn street Parlors gorging on endless waves of fear Riding hysteria, imminent war O great catalyst of war Twisting the minds of men into monsters Diving your hands in that great pit of fear Now throbbing with screams from the radio No fences nor faces can save Maple Street Now plunged in the throes of sweet sultry Chaos And we call it Chaos This boiling of minds all stewing with war Once masked with humanity on this street Now reveals good neighbors make great monsters Skies of martians (n)or men, the radio Hissing, twists the knobs and tunes in to fear And when that curtain of fear Draws, and shadeless light casts on the chaos And the broadcast fades on the radio And mere fiction rescinds the throne of war What will we make of all of these monsters Scattered about in a daze through the street Where there are minds of fear and war, Chaos reigns and calls to the sleeping monsters; Tune in to Welles’s radio on Sterling’s street.

ZOMBIES VS TROLLS
Angelic Beauty, Sturdy and wise. She gazes from above, Into the darkest disguise. Valkyrie is thee, Sudden and strange. Difference is an understatement, Where royalty reigns. Beside a Valkyrie, A scaled beast resides. Ready to fight, And to die. Alongside all Valkyries, The dragons stand proud, In armor of white. They will fight. The Valkyries, Angelic and dark. They will fight, To save you from the dark..

The warrior is powerful, The warrior is strong, The warrior does not give up, The warrior fights on. Though chaos reigns around her, She will not fall to tears, No matter what the circumstance, She'll face up to her fears. The warrior is confident, The warrior is true, The warrior will stand her ground, The warrior lives through. Regardless what the odds may be She always shall prevail, No matter what the consequence, She'll strive and never fail. The warrior is adamant, The warrior is proud, The warrior will show no doubt, The warrior roars loud. Whatever fate declares to be, She will not lose her way, No matter what the happenstance, She'll live to seize the day.

To Selene: Rare a night, her gentle grace is not seen; Live long torches, shamed, by her beauty’s gleam! The Queen of night, my heart, she reigns supreme. Floating high in deep, black lakes of my dreams, Softly she gazes down past thick and thin; Distant is her love as we skin to skin; Fooled, my fervent stretch is never within, Her affection for me, I’ll never win. My heart, her misfortune can only reap This last choice—wound us both more than my weep! For her sympathy, my eternal sleep! Now like me, may her woe forever keep. By day miss her and dream of her by noon Forever, rest in heart, my dear honey, moon

Endymion's Letter
Regret washes over in oceans, Drenching a hot head with Unholy sorrow and disgust; Time reigns over as Almighty Queen Who casts a permanent chill over The land, the mirrors, the soul. The molten mistakes cool solid In the prison of our brains— Forever materialized, measured, weighted. A prideful ego never dies— It's only masked by alibis.

Regret
Splitting the sea, The wind I feel, keeps crossing over time, clearing the path between a sea of truth and lies, revealing what was hidden within such misery, Amongst an ocean of common sense, opens the true pathway, Cross it, by the miracle created in the dearness you held so close, Caught within the border of life and death, you cannot be swept away Don't be built on sand, the one you are walking on, wet, fragile and likely to fall apart within the barriers of water, pillars rising up to you, yet there is no need to worry, have faith, your transience remains Distortion, clouded within judgement of two sides which only one is righteous about, oh how trecious, lies cannot win a long run yet try to mislead and falsify the facts of life for ones owns benefits and needs, The truth however, may be harsh and hard to take, yet has a sweeter taste than the best lie given, even though, you may end up deserted. Those liars, they chase after you for not following them, yet when the sea collapses they surely will drown in the reigns of the truthful water Looking at what I desire to accomplish, is to break the boundaries with this miraculous wind, be carried away, softly, gently swaying, Carrying my wings, fighting on until the moment when I should fall, Until the moment this path is overtaken by the ocean again ~ Umi

Split Ocean
As darkness fall, the veil thin, The year is drawing nigh. Shadows lengthen, gather strength, The year is drawing nigh. The dead they stir, and look around, The year is drawing nigh. Tonight they walk, tonight they dine, The year is drawing nigh. The sinks down, she’s dying now, The year is drawing nigh. Beneath the hills, the dying sun, The year is drawing nigh. Hollow hills, they open wide, The year is drawing nigh. Faerie folk, the mighty dead, The year is drawing nigh. Samhain’s fires, burning bright, The year is drawing nigh. To dance around, in death’s embrace, The year is drawing nigh. Ancestors dead, some long gone, The year is drawing nigh. We tip a glass, we place a plate, The year is drawing nigh. Death stands up, tonight he reigns, The year is drawing nigh. In darkness strong, the dying year, The year is drawing nigh. The revelers grow deathly quiet, The year is drawing nigh. All knees bend and all tongue stilled, The year is drawing nigh. For Death takes all and all will come, The year is drawing nigh. The Gates of Death, they open wide, The year is drawing nigh. His face you meet, at Death’s great doors, The year is drawing nigh. A friend, a judge, a lover, a blade, The year is drawing nigh. His embrace is sweet, but deathly cold, The year is drawing nigh. In love he strips you, bone from bone, The year is drawing nigh. Nothing left, you pass beyond, The year is drawing nigh. The veil it parts, the doors swing wide, The year is drawing nigh. Your last strong breath, last ****** The year is drawing nigh. And through you go, to what’s beyond, The year is drawing nigh. But Death’s great doors and Life’s fair doors, The year is drawing nigh. What’s dead and gone, will be reborn, The year is drawing nigh. A new breath breathed, a new day dawns, The year is drawing nigh. Death to Life, he takes your hand, The year is drawing nigh. All is gone, but all in new, The year is drawing nigh. The new dawn’s sun, in the east, The year is drawing nigh. The cold it flees, the shadows hide, The year is drawing nigh. Dark Samhain’s night to new year’s light, The year is drawing nigh. What was dead has come again.

The Year Draws Nigh, a Samhain poem

Vanquish or Vanish , That’s what they said, Before I embraced the valour, Of the dead, Silence since reigns, These dungeons deep, For, I was a Gladiator, Who chose to weep. The Arena that chanted , My mighty name, The mellow maiden, Who whispered the same; They are but fractions, Of an empire lost, For passion sparked, At honour's cost. Gladiators will come, And gladiators will go, And yet, None will dare embrace His fallen foe. The crowd will cheer, As the Cowards will roar, While I will weep, At my dungeon door.
