"reflexivity" poems
Told my feelings were fake
Laughed at for crying
Brutalized for refusing
Depicted as anomalous
This is my "home"
I exploded, caught a breath as I felt the silencing
Crossed volatile environments
Misunderstood ephemeral friends
Bullied, ostracized
Experienced injustice
This is school
I performed, in the illusion of shutting silencing
Living my curiosity
Knowledge is my strength
Reflexivity makes me grow
Embracing my difference
This is my refuge
I introspected, in the freedom of their paralyzed silencing
Meet mind-like people
Discovered my emotions
Explored my preferences
Dug my family history
This is my travel
I free-fell, as in my trust I hit structural silencing
Communicating humbly
Nourishing healthy relationships
Trusting my positions
Affirming my autonomy
This is my womanhood
Becoming a mother, I urge to gather the pieces for her freedom

Disdain for
Traditional forms,
A sense of
Detached irony,
Self-reflexivity,
Expressed as a
Flagrant,
Meta-textual
Awareness,
adventurous
typography,
that defies
the common
relational schemes
between text
and margin
The juxtaposition
Of words
Governed by
Syllabic content,
and
freed
from
the
burden
of
syntactical
strictures
Meanings
Changed
Through
Inversion
(now read it upside down)
*
the
poem
recites
itself*
Paralyzed truth
Mimics brave fear,
Abdicating censure, and
Redressing allusion,
Liberation
abounds
in the trough
of a sine wave

It's the symbolism of nature
That defines us
It speaks a loud truth
That only the blind refuse to see
The balance of life
And its complexity
Such as our binary coupling
Like an algebraic formula
Which cannot exist
Absent the many variables
Restricting the reflexivity
Of emotions that do not adhere
To our everyday functionality
Systematically understanding
Love is the value of the whole
While appreciating the part
