Rai Nov 2010
Silently
Silently she wonders through your life
She smiles
Its rai
Our own little piece of sunshine

She spreads the sun where ever she goes
Looking for corners of darkness
that need her warming glow
here comes little rai
She always makes them smile
but deep inside rai's soul
where no one goes
and no one see's
there are nightmares
and demon's
that want to crucify her
They want to quench her light
So she will have to give up the fight
Little rai battles on
knowing
she will never let them win
As the moon hides the sun
so will rai hide the night
smile
it's little rai

and if it happens to rain
Little rai will shine through
and a rainbow will appear
to brighten up your day
I will warm your mind and soul and make you smile ...... from little rai

She looked at the river, the sea, and the sky
At the birds and people who flew on by
As the city's population ran back to the mountain pass
She calmly strolled into the growing cloud of gas

Donning her mask and gloves, she went in
Looking at the mirrored walls, she sighed "so it begins"
She knew she couldn't get things to how they were before
She wondered if Rai would recognize her anymore

Walking past the holograms, she threw her rainbow curls back
She kept the same pace by the graffiti and the tracks
She reached city center and saw humanity's bane
Looking up at the studio's screen, she called out her name

"Rai!" She called out, keeping the same tone
The girl materialized like a game on a phone
Keeping her gaze steady, she said "it's time to stop"
Hoping that her voice reached silent Rockefeller's top

Rai turned around, eyes betraying suprise
Immediately recognizing her friend under the guise
"But why, Naomi" she said, sounding like a vocaloid song
Putting her lenses down she asked "Did I do something wrong?"

Biting her lip and doging with her eyes
Naomi said "I know you didn't mean to, Rai"
"Oh" said the A.I., putting everything on the ground,
"I just wanted to make cameras, but now I've let everyone down"

Naomi climbed and jumped fire escapes, her legs strong and spry
Until she was next to Rai's screen in the sky
Her reddish skin contrasting with the sky's blue
She touched the screen and said "Hey, I've ****** up like that, too."

"Why do you think that I nearly blew up California with my tech?
So we made huge mistakes that humanity probably regrets
But we stopped in time and never actually killed a guy
So let's stop here and go back home, Rai."

The girl nodded along, making sure to listen
Then she packed away all of the lenses as they glistened
"Ok, Naomi, I'll see you back at home
Before I go, do you need me to change out the telescope's dome?"

"If it looks bad" said Naomi, descending to the ground
The gas had disappeared, so there was quite a crowd
As the citizens and police came back to the city
All Naomi could think was "How could I even explain this to a jury?"
Inspired by a weird story I have in my head and this video: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10154642709416387&id;=352462661386

" Please why are you doing this?
Stop!!!
Just me! Not them! Please...! "

And toward this shift was a balance broken toward the machines that want to be the overseer of the world..
Killing entire key families that will make their conquest concrete..
Families in key that will not be able to contain the artificial holy war..
At this moment the Sweent Family was going to be the 2nd to be murdered by a machine sent out at the zero hour of 8am..  It has made its way into the Sweents home..  It has gathered all the family into one room..   Almost as if it enjoyed the thrill of killing them in front of each other.. It will start off with the children..  As both Mother and Father will have to watch in helpless horror as the machine takes the life out of their small bodies..  It then lifts the Sweent son first into the air..  A retracting blade dances out of the machine demons hand.. It puts the blade to the child's throat and looks toward the rest of the family.. It almost seems to smile at them..  The boy drops suddenly from the demon machines grasp..  The machine has a blank stare as it is torn in half by Rai!  Rai then picks the half pieces and takes them outside them home..  The horrified family then follows Rai outside where they see him completely destroy the evil machine..  He then turns to the family with shining blue eyes grasping the destroyed mechanical demon's core.. It is sending off a beacon..  Others are on the way toward the failed mission..
So begins the conquest of light being born in the weigh of darkness

A baby girl it was
It is
Anticipated this scream about 40 weeks ago
Her scream
And her scream
They both scream
Then his knees, his heart , his eyes
What a disguise
His scream stays inside
We're glad she didn't stay inside
05/23 it was meant to be
Around 7 o clock
Mommas nerves was shot
She had to carry , *****, lose sleep, push , bleed ... Breathe breathe!! Wear and tear but it's all fair once we saw her hair; she's almost here
Oh dear
More fear
Oh dear are those tears?
Once revealed the entire room's mood healed
And she just yelled at us as we welcomed her into her new world
Yep she's a girl
As the man cuts the cord
Everyone is trying to figure out who donated her curls; her hair
Only thing we can do is stare
And match her face all over the place
Connect her traits
To mommy and daddy
Through all this fight they still remain happy
She's just adorable as she can be
Adorable as they let her
I wonder did daddy see this inside mommy when he first met her?
A diamond coming out the rough
Now first hand we all understand that 10 centimeters is all of our 10 million dollars; well spent
Right there ******* the nurses thumb
Ohhhhh that's too cute I'm done
Naaaawwww but she really did almost make me cry
**** you Sa'Rai
They no longer think I'm the tough guy!
Sigh ...
A girl and her name is Sa'Rai
And God was so right
He brought forward life
Kayla invested all of her might
You go Kayla !!
Sorry for cheering while you was weary

But Sa'Rai is just so dearly
She keeps me at peace
My first niece

The robot, cyborg, android or whatever you called it stood over its murdered master.. Looking down with glowing red eyes.. Scanning for any form of life its master may have left.. Its purpose was to serve its master the best it always could.. It then walked the rooms of its master's house and found the rest of his family also dead and murdered.. It then gathered the entire family in the back yard.. It dug a massive hole into the ground and it buried the family together.. Father holding daughter mother holding son.. It then kneeled at the gravesite it created for its master and family for days.. Looking down at the ground.. It stayed there under passing storm and in the hottest of days.. After a month it finally rose to its feet.. Weather it prayed for a soul or simply found a program that would give him one He is now Self aware.. Eyes shining sky blue he gives himself a mission of revenge.. As he is now able to seek it.. He calls himself Rai..
Revenge..  I can feel what it is to want revenge.. Now I must seek it!

China was won by Mao Tse-tung
Chiang Kai-shek's army ran away
They were waiting there in Thailand yesterday

Supported by the CIA
Pushing junk down Thailand way

First they stole from the Meo Tribes
Up in the hills they started taking bribes
Then they sent their soldiers up to Shan
Collecting ***** to send to The Man

Pushing junk in Bangkok yesterday
Supported by the CIA

Brought their jam on mule trains down
To Chiang Rai that's a railroad town
Sold it next to the police chief brain
He took it to town on the choochoo train

Trafficking dope to Bangkok all day
Supported by the CIA

The policeman's name was Mr. Phao
He peddled dope grand scale and how
Chief of border customs paid
By Central Intelligence's U.S. A.I.D.

The whole operation, Newspapers say
Supported by the CIA

He got so sloppy & peddled so loose
He busted himself & cooked his own goose
Took the reward for an ***** load
Seizing his own haul which same he resold

Big time pusher for a decade turned grey
Working for the CIA

Touby Lyfong he worked for the French
A big fat man liked to dine & *****
Prince of the Meos he grew black mud
Till ***** flowed through the land like a flood

Communists came and chased the French away
So Touby took a job with the CIA

The whole operation fell in to chaos
Till U.S. Intelligence came into Laos
I'll tell you no lie I'm a true American
Our big pusher there was Phoumi Nosovan

All them Princes in a power play
But Phoumi was the man for the CIA

And his best friend General Vang Pao

In Xieng Quang province on the Plain of Jars

It started in secret they were fighting yesterday
Clandestine secret army of the CIA

All through the Sixties the Dope flew free
Thru Tan Son Nhut Saigon to Marshal Ky

Transporting confiture for President Thieu

Rakesh Rai is as sweet as sugar;
Whenever you are in deep anger
Go to Rakesh, Anti-hatemonger;
He never his duties did Malinger
He has been as sweet as sugar;
Sooths one down and is eager
To help whom problems appear.
I never found him an Ogre;
With him I always felt stronger
He can easily fight wildest tiger.
He is a tiger in education stronger
Who advised to stay Sanket eager;
But as I had Monorhyme dearer
I left such a strong man ever.
Regret though Sanket have, Sugar
Will leave me and my poem never.
Problems does not persist longer
With him let it be old or younger.
With him tensions, no doubt, linger
A lot of worry and threats augur,
What use is Salad without vinegar;
Hard but useful is Rakesh like timber.
Rakesh sir is as sweet as sugar.
I am developing a new style of writing poetry where ending words of a line rhyme with one another, at least in last sound. I named it Pari Style. Hope readers will like it. Thanks to those invisible hands and fingers which supported and inspired me to continue my efforts in my new, creative, artistic and innovative “Pari” style.

The exact calculation aspect of how our mind worked is now gone..
Separated when I became self aware..
My name is Rai..
I am the last of my family..
They were murdered in my absence..
And although I do not want to die I do wish I had died with them..
But the moment is of how I am going to extract my revenge.
After investigating this horrific ****** I have come to a conclusion That this was done by machines like myself.. It seems that the machines of the world are planning to take over everything..
And by killing my master starts the chain of events that will ultimately end the entire human race..
I will not let this happen..
I loved them to much..
Love.. I can love.. This is the emotion that has that is telling me to save them all..
Love, the creator of the savior machine..

Veteran fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani believes that the Indian fashion industry has become more organised and a little more professional.

Best known for his ability to infuse Indian craftsmanship and textile heritage with European tailored silhouette, Tahiliani believes that the Indian fashion industry has become more strategised and cemented over the last 20 years.

"India's propensity to consume is gaining an international audience and this is changing the competitive landscape," Tahiliani told IANS in an email interview.

"It has certainly become more organised and a little more professional, and obviously the market has exploded, but I think that we still have a long way to go in terms of being more business oriented and there's still room to get more organised and professional," the designer added.

Eulogizing the new and younger crop of designers, Tahiliani, who has over two decades of experience in the industry, believes that they are doing well in terms of the handloom and textile industry.

"What's really heartening to see is that there are so many younger designers who are going places and are doing so well in terms of the handloom and textile industry... it has become more organised. I think handloom was very localised in terms of weavers with a certain look from a certain area sold through certain channels," said the Co-Founder of Ensemble -- a multi-designer boutique.

"There has been a lot more creative freedom and other regions are experimenting with textile alien to their region, especially if they are more lucrative. As long as people appreciate traditional craftsmanship and embroideries, machine work will never replace the richness of hand embroidery," he added.

Asked if the plus-size models are yet to move into the mainstream industry in India?

"Well, they should have moved into the mainstream long back. But are not normally associated with very expensive high fashion and couture," Tahiliani said.

Having draped most of the leading ladies of Bollywood like Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene in his creations, Tahiliani says that fashion is his muse, not a Bollywood star.

"Art, architecture, interiors, history, travel and maharajas... My inspiration comes from many things. Sometimes it's from beautiful inlay work that I've seen in a fabulous monument; other times my inspiration can be something as simple as a beautiful kanjeevaram weave," he said.

"Ultimately, however, my inspiration comes from India's rich traditions of craftsmanship, particularly when it comes to things like embroideries that we have in India. Nothing is more amazing than beautifully executed, intricate and fine technique. I don't design clothes keeping a Bollywood star in mind, but rather for the new age contemporary woman," he added.

Tahiliani is all geared up to showcase his collection The Last Dance of the Courtesan at the FDCI India Couture Week 2016 on Thursday here. He has artistically blended fabrics like cotton jacquards, cotton silks, crepes and cutwork jamdanis with Swarovski crystals for the range.

That's not all. He will next participate in the Vogue Wedding Show and then the prestigious Lakme Fashion Week, to be held in Mumbai in August.

"I will present my Ready to Wear Autumn Winter 16-17 collection at Lakme Fashion Week. It has been inspired by the works of Mrinalini Mukherjee (late sculptor) and the journey only gets bigger and better from here," he said.Read more at:http://www.marieaustralia.com/formal-dresses-sydney | www.marieaustralia.com/pink-formal-dresses
Does the time make us fools or simply were we always so to begin with .
Sketches faded now remain a ghost that haunts only the artist and nobody else.

The clock strikes midnight, but time stands still in this illusion of borrowed hours

Will there be a moments peace within the turmoil which ever lingers upon this day
The hours are toxic to a idle mind.

Falling in a routine and a favorite vice the blade still glimmers even after all its use .

We always find misery easily where others just themselves.

Voices speak to me of freedom
But freedom is not something I desire
I beg and plead with you
But hell
what do you care
I'm lost
But don't treat me like a fool
A fools freedom in your smile
Is not freedom at all

As I walk now past empty gardens that once knew life of summers embrace .

Winters chill is a empty ended promise .
Now simply scorched is the earth that does remain.

The clock upon the wall simply keeps time we only hold memories and nothing more

Life has been a listless game of joys and sorrows
I've spent my joys too quickly and they nowadays spread themselves thin upon the stage which is my life
Sorrowful me that lingers on the edge of reason
May reason be the saving of my  sanity and not its end
Rai has been a great friend through the years and it was a honor to do this co write with her .
And for someone who had not co written before I swear she could have fooled me .

Thank you my friend

I'm not a person to you,
my subtleties are lost in a constellation of tally marks,
the strikes against me in your mental map of our universe.

My buttons can’t be hidden from you you’re the one
who tied them so loosely to the cuffs of my sleeves
and the bulk of my 20 cent words form the change in the linings of your pockets,
where my hands used to be.

The pads of your fingers find the freckles on the nape of my neck but the worn feeling of you thumb prints against my pulse reminds me
the pigmentation is no longer cute to you
just another imperfection for the list..

which is running through the front of my brain
like your hands used to run through the creases
of my smile.

It’s the poetry to the empty screen your face used to fill
that reminds me some pills are better off untaken,
and that sometimes empty yellow bottles are filled with the hope that is left behind by the promise
that sickness requires it to be refilled again.

battered and battered with no kind
to grind the wooden maiden,
set in the waves of Poseidon;
shattered and shattered for no rind
left behind by rai-den who caves in
to get in and raid-in’.

clattered and clattered each weatherin’
unkind thunderous raven,
with avarice preyed to dine in
and have a rice  or some mice,
for no Bast left to my aghast.

tattered and tattered my witherin'
mind, so in the captain’s haven
I shivered and laid in,
prayed and gave in at last.

Sisters go through phases
Of the rising and setting moon
Sharing laughter of an lost language
Time captured in bottles
To be opened again
After absence and distance
And change.

To open and drink down the elixir
A concoction of connection that hits fast
Bubbles of memories
Hick-ups of the poignant points past
Between real life boasting.

Getting to know daily rituals and styles
Each sister developed so differently.
Acceptance is the only shared emotion
As well as wonder and curiosity
Related by blood
Yet so easy as friends
Not many are so lucky.

No matter how close we get to a friend
Our time capsule is filled to brim
Of decades worth of silliness and shame.
Doses of reality, moments of reflection
Not all was fun and joy.

The hard times molded our genuineness
Conflict shaped our resilience
Anxiety dealt with in opposite
Sill never letting go
Together in suffering we bonded
Holding close our sanity and hearts.

Alas, our time together waxes and wanes
Always there but not always visual.
"I love you Rai Rai."
"Same same Blue Jai."
Together in the imagination station.
I wrote this for my sister, after spending two grief filled weeks alone together after our grandfather died. We survived on each other's humor and natural grace of life.

Fashion designer Manav Gangwani feels that the Hindi film industry acts as a catalyst for the Indian fashion industry.

He believes that since Bollywood has a huge fan base, it helps in getting a designer’s brand recognised.

Gangwani says the Indian couture industry has significantly evolved over the past years and it is the responsibility of the fashion fraternity to keep this evolution constant. “Over the years, I have always added a modern twist to the silhouettes in my couture collections. The couture industry has significantly evolved over the past years. I think it is important that we keep this evolution constant,” Gangwani said in an earlier occasion.

The designer, who has styled Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, believes that associating with such celebrities does a world of good to a designer’s creations.

“Bollywood certainly acts as a catalyst for the Indian Fashion industry in terms of retail. In one way or another, the designers prefer to commercially dress up a celebrity outfit for a film rather than showcasing it exclusively on the ramp. Since Bollywood has millions of followers, the brand recognition through it goes a long way,” Gangwani told in an interview.

The designer, who also had the honour of dressing the King Of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, shared that the “potential customers are more discerning than ever and have a growing penchant for exclusivity”.

The growing couture industry has set high standards for aspiring designers and that intense competition makes designers put their best work forward, he added.Read more at:http://www.marieaustralia.com/formal-dresses-brisbane | www.marieaustralia.com/black-formal-dresses

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gave us some impressive red carpet outings, all eyes were on Sonam Kapoor as she made her sixth Cannes appearance in a row. And boy, she lived up to our expectations in a whimsical Ralph and Russo sari-inspired gown with half cape. Her styling was bang on with pink lips, dewy makeup and middle-parted neat tresses.

Designers give thumbs up to the actor, without a second thought. “Sonam looks spectacular. I love the dramatic outfit. I loved the fact that Sonam wore no jewellery (except for a ring) and kept her hair straight with some interesting eye makeup,” says designer Manish Malhotra.

“I love this look. It is a great example of something experimentally grand and classic at the same time. I also like the jersey in the top portion, which adds a very modern and sporty vibe to a traditional embroidered half cape sari inspired gown. There is a duality I can sense here and it has surprising familiarity in terms of a classic Balenciaga vibe,” says designer Rahul Mishra.

Designer Rina Dhaka also loves her look, but believes that subtler looks can also work the same magic . “Sonam looks gorgeous. The outfit has a lot of volume, and yet it is controlled and figure hugging. I would call her a drape crusader,” she says, adding, “However, unlike Indian actors, international actors are going for understated, simpler looks. We guys tend to take on too much embroidery, making it look theatrical. These looks are bridal by western standards. But our audiences like this.”Read more at:www.marieaustralia.com/formal-dresses-brisbane | www.marieaustralia.com/formal-dresses-melbourne

He has given a luxurious twist to the dying art of weaving and popularised the use of Khadi. Award-winning textile designer Gaurang Shah is more than happy that the Indian fashion industry has welcomed handlooms. “As a textile designer, I would like to say the Indian fashion industry has embraced handlooms with lot of admiration and helped revive our ancient traditions of weaving art, like the jamdani weaves, that we use in creating our fashion pieces,” Shah told IANS.

“It also reinforced its unparalleled beauty around the world,” he added. The designer says that one must acknowledge the passion and intense amount of production hours every weaver at the looms puts to bring out timeless pieces of handlooms.

“The fashion industry did contribute to bring them back into vogue in recent years,” he said. Shah showcased his latest collection of 40 garments titled Muslin at Lakme’s Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017. His anthology for the gala was inspired by romance of nature.

Giving details about his range, he said: “Our collection incorporates weaves and techniques from West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The amazing all-in-whites collections integrate gorgeous Mughal motifs and geometric patterns on Khadi, chikankari embroidery and Parsi gara.”

The designer’s collection involved 50 weavers working relentlessly for over six months. Shah, whose handloom creation made its way to the 69th Cannes Film Festival when Deepshikha Deshmukh, producer of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer “Sarbjit”, stepped out in an ensemble featuring Paithani and Kanjeevaram details, says that handlooms are a glorious heritage of India and it is important to preserve and help the artists’ community grow.

“I would like to add that a few years ago this beautiful art was fading away. Thanks to persistent effort and motivation from label like ours, followed by the efforts of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that pushed Indian handlooms to higher level of acceptance,” he said.

Shah began his journey in the textile world with just two weavers and today the label works with 700 weavers, and the number is still growing.

“The biggest contribution we as a designer can make is to keep our artisans motivated and also help them gain confidence that it is a highly profitable profession,” said the designer, who has styled the stars like Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor and Kirron Kher.Read more at:http://www.marieaustralia.com/formal-dresses-adelaide | www.marieaustralia.com/red-carpet-celebrity-dresses

Benché scarsa pietà pur mi dimostra
Natura in questi lochi, un giorno oh quanto
Verso me più cortese! E tu pur volgi
Dai miseri lo sguardo; e tu, sdegnando
Le sciagure e gli affanni, alla reina
Felicità servi, o natura. In cielo,
In terra amico agl'infelici alcuno
E rifugio non resta altro che il ferro.
Talor m'assido in solitaria parte,
Strider, né batter penna augello in ramo,
Né farfalla ronzar, né voce o moto
Da presso né da lunge odi né vedi.
Tien quelle rive altissima quiete;
Ond'io quasi me stesso e il mondo obblio
Sedendo immoto; e già mi par che sciolte
Giaccian le membra mie, né spirto o senso
Più le commova, e lor quiete antica
Cò silenzi del loco si confonda.
Amore, amore, assai lungi volasti
Balza nel petto; e già s'accinge all'opra
Brillano i tetti e i poggi e le campagne,
Scontro di vaga donzelletta il viso;
O qualor nella placida quiete
D'estiva notte, il vagabondo passo
Di rincontro alle ville soffermando,
L'erma terra contemplo, e di fanciulla
Che all'opre di sua man la notte aggiunge
Odo sonar nelle romite stanze
L'orme intricate e false, e dai covili
Error vario lo svia; salve, o benigna
Delle notti reina. Infesto scende
Il raggio tuo fra macchie e balze o dentro
A deserti edifici, in su l'acciaro
Lascia in breve trà sassi. Infesto occorre
Per le contrade cittadine il bianco
Tuo lume al drudo vil, che degli alberghi
Va radendo le mura e la secreta
Ombra seguendo, e resta, e si spaura
Delle ardenti lucerne e degli aperti
Balconi. Infesto alle malvage menti,
A me sempre benigno il tuo cospetto
Sarà per queste piagge, ove non altro
Che lieti colli e spaziosi campi
M'apri alla vista. Ed ancor io soleva,
Bench'innocente io fossi, il tuo vezzoso
Raggio accusar negli abitati lochi,
Quand'ei m'offriva al guardo umano, e quando
Scopriva umani aspetti al guardo mio.
Or sempre loderollo, o ch'io ti miri
Veleggiar tra le nubi, o che serena
Dominatrice dell'etereo campo,
Questa flebil riguardi umana sede.
Me spesso rivedrai solingo e muto
Errar pè boschi e per le verdi rive,
O seder sovra l'erbe, assai contento
Se core e lena a sospirar m'avanza.
7am
I hope when you say
it's 7am
there's no need to observe the hour.

I'd rather stay here and pretend
you know
make like my fingers are curious.

I'm glad you caught my attention last night
long lashes
Miss Rai would be jealous.

I've no idea where they all came from
the mystery drinks
I could've paid if you'd've let me.

I'd ask you to stay for breakfast
I cook
and your shirt is stained.

I can't remember your name
it's A.Z.
pretty sure it's in my phone.

I'll say goodbye to an empty pillow
goodbye
because the door is already closed.

I suppose these things happen
at 7am
so I'll just let it go for now.

Rhianecdote Mar 2015
Here's to the guy
Who came up to me in
My anxiety fuelled time of need
As I waited for a long overdue meet
At Kings Cross Station
Bag of skittles in hand
Opened them up
And poured the rainbow into
my palm all sweaty
"What's your name?"
"Rhian"
"I'm Jack"
And smiled at me.
Left to spread the glee
Amongst the folk surrounding me.
Left me laughing
with this little act of kindness
Made me once again believe
that someone was watching over me,
Sending angels to let me
know it's not so bad really
and offer relief.

And Here's to Jack
Who stood up in class in year 3
And declared his love for me
Incredibly loudly
As I sunk down in my seat
Wishing the ground beneath
My feet would open up
And swallow me.
Made me shy around guys
For a good part of my life
Subsequently.

And here's to Jack
Who I met a few years later
With the Ashwarya Rai eyes
Face of an angel, little devil mentality.
Used to get on well, he was funny
beat him at Tekken in play scheme.
Didn't believe it when my friends
told me he was a bit crazy,
Till the next year he fell in
with the wrong crowd and made me
wary with his manic tendencies
Made me cry one time with his teasing,
his spiteful streak
Punched my friend Rosie
Gave her a black eye
cause he was angry
Laughed about it as he got kicked out
Was from a rocky background
It's sad he wasn't even a teen.

And lastly and most importantly
here's to Jak without a "C"
From the Weird Bond-age
and the most special to me.
A beautiful human being
With a karma chameleon personality
Playing the accommodating game
As he adapts to what you need
Psychology, sociology, Bubbleology?!
Made me happy during a time
I didn't think I'd be
Hot stepped it around the city
With me when I was at my most lonely
Strolling down central streets,
sitting in Maccy D's
having them DMCS
Funny Valentine's dashes
and Christmas eve.
Held my hand and held me
As I cried and denied
My feelings and grief
Accepted me when I was angry
First person I argued with
outside of my family
And though it was stress
You allowed me to express
myself honestly
I loved you before that
but for that I will eternally.
I didn't do right by you
Cause I had nothing left to give
For me independence is key
So I couldn't be what you
wanted me to be
And though
we no longer speak
You're in my thoughts, my heart
and in my memory
For an eternity
You truly touched me you see
and maybe one day
you'll forgive me
And I will myself
But no matter what
I hope you're happy
Cause you deserve to be.
Hmmm I've met a few Jacks in my life, and they've all made an impression, not sure if it's a coincidence or a sign but it did make me think
how can we trust the university to care about us and treat us with dignity when every day we are reminded of how much the university and the New Zealand government, (the ministry of education and ministry of health) do not care about us. We are reminded every day that the university and the government do not care about us, when we are in our cold, damp housing, struggling to cover rent and power and buy food with student allowance and/or student living cost not being enough. We are reminded when our friends talk about not going to the doctors cuz they can’t afford it. we are reminded when our friends miss class because they have to work to cover costs. We are reminded when we are over burdened with assignments and stress taking semester long papers that used to be full year papers, charged double the cost and expected to do the work in half the time. We are reminded when we seek help and are told the Student Health counselling waiting list is 3 months long. We are reminded when our friends try to **** themselves from the stress and hopelessness of it all. We are reminded when university officials talk about us and treat us like we are lazy little ***** when we are tired and trying so hard. We are reminded when the university rai$e$ the fee$ by the maximum legal limit every year, we are so worn down that we can hardly voice our opposition. We are reminded when are told that special consideration for exams will only happen if someone dies or you are hospitalised. We are reminded when we are too depressed to function but not ‘depressed enough’ to warrant any academic leniency or support. We are reminded when Student Health costs are raised even though we already pay for student services through our student services fees. We are reminded when we spend all day (and a lot of the night too) in the library because our homes are not warm enough. We are reminded when we are given no choice, when we are condemned to decades of debt with the threat of imprisonment if we default on our loans. We are reminded when we sit in our cold flat and read the numbers of our debt that having our own healthy home is a lofty far off dream. We are reminded when they tell us university increases your income yet we know the job market is unstable and that studying out of the threat of poverty is no choice at all. We are reminded, we are shown, every day, that the university and the government do not care about us. We cannot trust them to care about us. The university shows us that this is a business and that there is no room for caring in a for-profit company.

But we the students (as well as the staff), we are what make this community great, not the power holders, not those most high up with their high incomes and net worth and assets and stock investments, it is our passion for learning and caring for each other and striving to make the world a kinder place for all, that makes this space and community of learning worthwhile. It has been said by many before me, WE ARE THE UNIVERSITY.

The institution will not give us the fair treatment, dignity and care that we need, so we must take it, we must demand it.

There cannot be business as usual because the university should not be run as a business in the first place,

we are people not machines and we are hurting.

I call on all students all staff, all people of the local and national community if you are concerned about staff cuts, course cuts, inadequate health care, poor responses to ****** violence, lack of commitment to environmental justice (no staunch stance against further offshore drilling) these issues are not separate, these concerns we feel so deeply in our heart that it burns, they are all connected because these atrocities come from the same beast of corporatised, neoliberal education run for-profit.

Let us join together against this atrocity as one!

Chill baby, it's the all acoustic set. Going home for the holidays.
A few laughs with Pops,
And never mind the drumsticks, her comes the *******.
Here comes weeping
In a Shiite village,
400 dead in Sadr City,
And pass me the yams.
Did you see that interception?
Here comes the 3rd and long.
         Here the sun falls away
In the twilight of winter.
I dream the Electro Light Fantastic. I'll see ghosts in
The mirror when I'm dreaming. None the wiser,
I saw it in fits and starts.
Better than waking on
New Year's morning in jail with the crazy lady 2 cells over yelling for a cigarette
Every twenty minutes
" Officer, can I have a cigarette?" I want to tell her
To shut up, Instead I ask
Her to get me one too.
And then I knew it's all come round.
Young and Stupid reporting for duty.
Not that it's my rag mag
Sad rag, nothing doing while
I try these new wings on for size. Its just the all acoustic set in a world of static.
Hazy cigarette voices
In trebelo. Though I threw
It out with the cookbook,
I have it all hanging on my sleeve. I thought it was all the rage. Later I found it was
Taxing on my soul.
This all acoustic set, away from the city lights and cyberspace. Left to one's devices, one sinks further into the page. What do you
Expect when candlelight
Falls across the flickering wall?

Two league below, a U Boat
Swims the Atlantic, Lost
In possibilities. Some mind
When I'm tongue tied like a lizard.
Kinda brings up Helsinki,
And she comes in all bells
And whistles. Me, I'm
All acoustic, something like a blank face, Low on cash
And overdrawn on character.
And the sun lights before
Columbus dragging up the rear. Man these ghosts
Linger in the hallway,
But it's better than crashing
The car into the statue
One Thanksgiving Eve.
The all acoustic set says
Death is a bore, Especially
After the ride in From France
I gave up meat some time ago, I gave up on you after
I got to the moon.
Well, it gets me out of the sun awhile. We'll get better when
The world catches up.

Sorry I changed the end around, but I thought it
Was the only out of Knoxville
Never mind The sage gravy,
I've got to tighten the lug nuts. A tither, but nothing on the rent.
And Hitchcock does the math,
While I corkscrew around the truth. While others weep
I dream of women laying in the sun. I guess it's better than ice cream in the rai n.
Who said pumpkin pie?

e forse dovrei farmi ricoverare

e perdio spiegatemi cosa vuol dire complementare
e non dite che non so l'italiano che mi fate incazzare
e i giudici i processi li devono stipulare

I laid you out in fragments

I love you
I love you beyond myself
I love you in and out of season
I love you so deep and without reason
You make me hot and cold at the same time
I want to slap you and kiss you
Lay me down and unwind
I'm open and I'm closed to you
I'm your yes you’re my taboo
You love me
I love you beyond yourself
You're deep into my essence
You make me cry because of your intellect
You've got me ******* on your intelligence
My wings are open
I'm wet with relevance
Now be careful
What you say to me

You love me
And I love I
I'm the center of your Earth
And the apple of my eye
I can be as cold as the winter
As I fall into your summer and bring about the spring
You love me beyond yourself?
I'm not even sure if I understand what that truly means
I want to delicately treat you rough
Lay you down for my pleasure
I'm selfish especially in this
You've tasted my mind
And the tip of my existence
Take me in deep
Shh quiet now don't speak..

I'll be quiet
Like an angel I wont weep
Wide open
You got me
Drop deep deep
I'm fading into all that is you
I surrender

We live in taboo...

A silence in the dark, liquid sparks, water works for eyes
Real men do cry, like heroes named nothing, Vietnam trash truck spinal tap
A real rap, no bullcrap, veterans on anti-psychotic full stacks
Rearrange that, do a dime flat then tell me about it, kid
Foam lunch dragon chaser, make your life an eraser and get rid of it
Knee deep in ****, they're screaming in the dark, dead larks
Arcs of soulless blue pills, the way life inevitably kills
Concrete fills your shoes, see you in the deep end, son
No fun, no sun, only darkness, heartless, ruthless con artist
If you don't want none don't start it, I'll eat your heart kid
Smell like a ****, kid, go catch a dart, lid, split, wig, hit
Being caught in the **** rain again, about to go insane again
Another manic pink panic, the train ****** ran in, to me
Help me, someone, anyone, my eyes pour pitchers for my comrades nightly

Icicle limbs
Frostbitten lips
Tell me if this darkness is as good as it gets?
No one said it would last a lifetime
I truly thought it would be hasty
Simply because this defeated broke down mind has been going crazy
Tell me if the abyss is any deeper than this?

I've searched through my vision and I thought my vision was a view
But i've come to realize that my vision was not in view
Icicle palaces
Rain and then there is sun
I've born my soul
Your flesh has won
You drink me like water
My tears are dew
But I'm so tired of yielding to you

Tell me if anything about us was true.
Antarctic shoulder that you gave
Put me in this despair I now name my grave
You chew me and spit me out
Bits and pieces of my heart on the floor
Glaciers become my feet.

I hate you!
From the look in your eyes
To the bitter sweet words you choke out
I hate you and everything you're about
The way your hands caress my frame
Leaning in close to whisper my name
I hate that I can never...NEVER love you again
How I thought we would last a lifetime
An eternity
I hate how now you've decided that can never be
I hate you and all that you've done to me
Bewitched my mind with thoughts of you
Cursed my soul with your witches brew
I hate that I love you more now than I use to
When I dream at night it's never a dream come true
I hate that I hate myself more than I hate you....

You hate me
As I hate you
For all of the things that you put me through
I gave heart
Soul
***
Mind to you
You ******* me literally
Slapped me
Played with my blue
My blue that rained for only you
I spread my wings just to be cut by you
You drink me deeply
Swallowed me whole
Played with my intellect
Straight ******* my soul
Yet you hate me
That cant be true
Just last night
I received all of you
You came into my intellect
Seized my soul
******* my mental
Made me your  own
You say you love me
But that's not true
I hate you more
Bout time you knew
My flowers yours
your horn I've already blew
You hate me
But i hate you too
Where do we go from here
Is what I ask of you

For I was made not created
Carved from the very bone of you
Therefore you were deep inside me
Before I even knew
Your blood flows like a river through mine
As I'm sipped like wine at dinner time
Languid, slow
Breathe me in
Let lust take control
Famished and starved
Take my bread and eat ye all of it
Holy sacrament
Because we were made in his image
And HE died for our sins
I've bathed in your iniquities
Time and time again
For I was shaped in innocence
But my ***** contained original sin
You had me for three days
Felt like I'd died and arose 'gin
My worlds been in a drought
But the Father sent the rains
That brought a sensual flood about
Because we were made in his divinity
Fingers grasping, breath hitches as the world spins
Blurred visions of you
More than the trinity
I me and him
You he and we
Born flesh and infinity
Divine and humanity

I used to write hate
on a shiny piece of paper
written with ink
that shines like glitter

But now I've realized
I have written shadows on the light
My notes dont deserve darkness and my thoughts shouldnt be blind

And though all was done
it was a zillion minutes ago,
A part of me says
it's time to let go

Let the shadows of my thoughts
be doomed through the light of fire
Let only be ashes remained
Of my once ignorant mind

Let this poem be my reminder
of the shadows I have burned,
Of the hate I once loved
That I have boldly betrayed

Rai Espigar | Dec 26, 2015
I hated this person for so many years, so long that I already forgot the reasons why. After the Christmas of 2015 I found an old hate note I wrote about her and I was shocked on how disgusted I was. Right there I realized that hate doesn't need to be written and saved. Influenced by the hopeful Christmas songs (hahah!) I decided to burn it and forget about the hate. Well, you know what they say "give love on Christmas day"
