a connotation of infinity sharpens the temporal splendor of this night when souls which have forgot frivolity in lowliness, noting the fatal flight of worlds whereto this earth’s a hurled dream down eager avenues of lifelessness consider for how much themselves shall gleam, in the poised radiance of perpetualness. When what’s in velvet beyond doomed thought is like a woman amorous to be known; and man, whose here is alway worse than naught, feels the tremendous yonder for his own— on such a night the sea through her blind miles of crumbling silence seriously smiles

. A poet's heart isn't like any other... It's the tears that trickle with radiance through words.      It's a treasure trove that hides but longs to      be found.           It's a book shelved high that wants to           be read.                It's the freest of all birds caged but                unbound... A poet's heart isn't like any other... It doesn't beat to the capable strokes of the artist.      It doesn't pump in the most vibrant of      colours.           It doesn't wield a paintbrush to           translate its thoughts.                But it can see through the eyes of                painters... A poet's heart isn't like any other... It doesn't conform to the conventional parameters of lyrics.      It doesn't bind itself to the requirements      of musical harmony.           It doesn't follow the conventions of           genres.                But it sings its voice loud without                restrictions of melody... A poet's heart isn't like any other... It's an open secret, that whispers in metaphoric codes.      It's an exploding universe, that merges      back into galaxies.           It's a sought after painting, that boasts           of unfathomable beauty.                It's an everlasting song, that echoes                within the poet that embodies...

*Her soul was clenched in the hands of distress The feeble screams were reverberating in the dungeon Not even the faintest light were allowed to entertain her Till her soul regained the power to scream Only her soulmate in distant land could hear it As everyone was oblivious of her agony and suffering Defying all odds, the soulmate reclaimed his Love* © Amitav (Radiance)

who lit the candles placed so eloquently behind purple rock? that sculpted radiance and chapel grace wound in a chosen defined way down the spiral stone stairs street cars dawdle alongside the packer slew biding merchants shuffle their wares as the front man and pock face sing their sullen holy blues cut jazz echoes over the accompanying gabble and drone incense and haze pour from a lower trap door sack fish, truffles and splendid crafts shine inside the stained glass fronts a wide mouth snapper with a bloated tongue greets the morning tide (not camera shy in the least!) the fish traps and beaneries bring life to the flourishing causeway hula hoops and circle ballers join the cobaine stage favoured rogues and mac jacks speak easy of the big daddy beth’s triple by pass taking firm hold on tricky **** and the nutcracker maze ways, taggers and lost tunnels of cu chi strike a nerving blow a poised finger man belts out his tune (with a sniff sock and iterating glare) his nosey neighbors cut artisan bread (with a white wine and jelly spread) midwives push forward for an afternoon toddle and stroll

it was probably a mistake the day you swore her eyelashes were wet from the rain; the night you promised to never belittle the importance of the sun because here she lies, tears precipitating, stomach lurching at the thought of you and I promise you, I swear that the sun could never shine nearly as bright as she did when she started rising and falling for you. you have opacified her radiance you have shunned her selfless light and she who was once a sun is now a hopeless, spiraling monsoon.

The radiance of the star that leans on me Was shining years ago. The light that now Glitters up there my eyes may never see, And so the time lag teases me with how Love that loves now may not reach me until Its first desire is spent. The star's impulse Must wait for eyes to claim it beautiful And love arrived may find us somewhere else.

Eid's faithful whispers
You are a sailor Drift way from the harbor Pull up the anchor That binds you down Set sail towards the horizon Take off the blindfold And hoist the sail Let the wind be your guide Sun and the Moon your compass Steering through uncharted waters Sometimes calm weather Or, inclement weather, rocking your ship Tackling the deep waters with alacrity Unfathomable depths, yet the ship sails Cutting through the waters The saline water, which is a part of you Seagulls guide you towards the shore Anchoring at the preferred destination Every grain of sand cushions your feet Welcoming you to the island of bliss Cut off from the mainland Yet, helping you connect with yourself Now it’s time to unwind And join the party after a successful voyage Ready to set sail for another expedition As a sailor, cruise till the end © Amitav (Radiance)

Colorless and yet so colorful. Such depth you hold, boldly you stand out. You reside in the skies and the deep seas, without you they seize to exist. Such royalty you are, you linger peace and serenity visible within a colbat glass. Indigo plants spit you out on the wings of lycaenidae and let them stand out with such radiance feeling so blue, how you strike me with calmness. You bring life to the lifeless. Without you there is darkness . Blue you give me life. By Mpho TJ Thibile

Blue
On the stiff twig up there Hunches a wet black rook Arranging and rearranging its feathers in the rain. I do not expect a miracle Or an accident To set the sight on fire In my eye, nor seek Any more in the desultory weather some design, But let spotted leaves fall as they fall, Without ceremony, or portent. Although, I admit, I desire, Occasionally, some backtalk From the mute sky, I can't honestly complain: A certain minor light may still Lean incandescent Out of kitchen table or chair As if a celestial burning took Possession of the most obtuse objects now and then -- Thus hallowing an interval Otherwise inconsequent By bestowing largesse, honor, One might say love. At any rate, I now walk Wary (for it could happen Even in this dull, ruinous landscape); skeptical, Yet politic; ignorant Of whatever angel may choose to flare Suddenly at my elbow. I only know that a rook Ordering its black feathers can so shine As to seize my senses, haul My eyelids up, and grant A brief respite from fear Of total neutrality. With luck, Trekking stubborn through this season Of fatigue, I shall Patch together a content Of sorts. Miracles occur, If you care to call those spasmodic Tricks of radiance miracles. The wait's begun again, The long wait for the angel, For that rare, random descent.

Black Rook In Rainy Weather
The pulsating, pearl moon Harbours the last remnants of romance, Scintillating, in the valourous sky, As I ceremoniously call upon the gods To bring her back to me. I longingly strip, craving the vivacity of her caress. Irresistible, I would yield to the perpetual Power of her touch. Immersed in the shadowy depths, Rippling serenities of thought. I glimpse at her reflective soul, Shimmering upon the ravenous river, Emanating from the stars In all their graceful radiance. Her heart illuminates The benevolent evening. The breath of inevitability Stings my skin, as I dress, Firing my arrows of impatience Disconsolately, into the shivering azure, Hoping for a way To penetrate her very being.

Breath of Inevitability
The cloudless day is richer at its close; A golden glory settles on the lea; Soft, stealing shadows hint of cool repose To mellowing landscape, and to calming sea. And in that nobler, gentler, lovelier light, The soul to sweeter, loftier bliss inclines; Freed form the noonday glare, the favour'd sight Increasing grace in earth and sky divines. But ere the purest radiance crowns the green, Or fairest lustre fills th' expectant grove, The twilight thickens, and the fleeting scene Leaves but a hallow'd memory of love!

live life in warm yellows when the sky is a dark gray and the clouds are a loveless black live life in light pinks when the trees are dying browns and the flowers are wilting ebonys live life in bright blues when the waters are a wild taupe and the sand is a rough onyx live life in the colors of life; for life is exquisite but to see such radiance and beauty, one must be appreciative and live life in warm yellows reds, oranges, greens, blues, indigos, and violets. life is full of color, but one must be able see that to truly enjoy living

live life in warm yellows
I listen to them as they mouth your name; and I see how deluded, how hypnotic, how enchanted and consumed they talk of your ways and, how the stars in their pupils beam with a radiance of such pure awe. Your words hang loose off the tops of their tounges and their lips drool in your glaze. Your lazy features,  your so electric but so infuriating charm - sends them mindless, locks them in your illusion. So it’s then I try to burn every sheet of paper which ink prints your presence, inside these desperate  shelves which fold upon each heartstring. My ears attempt to block it out. Instead they replay every song that has ever left your lips. And my eyes deceive me as they scatter a particle of you on every surface of life I encounter. My mind echoes every laugh you created in my streams. Then I paint every colour you ever erupted within me, in thick black. As they mouth your name, every trace of you with anyone but me, causes my hands to pull through my gut, and hammer down any of these ******* deceptive daydreams that you have me  trapped me in. And then so easily, one by one, debris of my heart crumble like rain down your window, down each vein.

when your name leaves their lips
Regardless of what the future holds, I know that no feat of mathematical precision no combination of zeroes and ones no mechanical tool, no algorithm can replicate your face. In the rise and fall of your eyelids and the pursing of your lips there is a lawless radiance.

*To every soul who offered me joy, Comforting and cajoling, To you, I am grateful. To every soul who taught me hurt, Gifting me lessons of woe, To you, I am grateful. To every soul who loved me, Your love is my beacon, I have discovered you in that warmth, I have beheld you in that luminescence, To you, I am grateful. To every soul who abandoned me, You have nudged me on Nearer and surer, to my grand source. To you, I am grateful. Whether I may realize, Whether I may trust, I have found the supreme Radiance In this universe Just as simply as I opened my eyes. To you, I am grateful.*
