"personally" poems
PLEASE FORGIVE ME for not reading right now. 1) I've been very busy with personal issues. 2) I've been on the low with some poets who need to talk. 3) I've been emailing Elliott York all morning about a couple of things. a) The asinine war that was happening here on his site. It's caused many to leave and it (the attacks on Wolf Spirit included) MUST STOP. Gary L has extended the olive branch. THE REST OF YOU MUST DO SO AS WELL. It's kindergarten stuff! You're ADULTS. ACT LIKE IT! b) A couple of years ago I came up with an idea. The Poet Tree T-shirt and poster. It would kind of look like this... P   O   E   T   S           XXXXX       XXXX♡XXX    XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX    XXXXXXXXXX        XXXXXXX            XXXX                **P                O                E                T                R** love.joy Y peace happiness.pain other.poet.words. ...FILL HEARTS The X's above would be POET NAMES! YOUR NAME WOULD BE ON THE SHIRTS! You could then get the t-shirt/poster from Elliott York! It's an idea that I personally put out a while back but never was able to follow up on. Email Elliott York if you like the idea. I want it to UNIFY POETS. We are ALL LEAVES ON THIS TREE! Thanks for reading. ♡ Catherine

THE POET TREE REVIVAL!
I don’t need to know you personally to know that you are actually worth something. You are worth more than you think. Why do you feel the need to believe your own lies? You need to believe that you are worth it and you need to believe that you will get through this, the more you tell yourself that you aren’t worth it, you will start to feel like you’re not worth anything when the truth is you are worth everything. I understand that sometimes, the ones who surround you can make you feel like a worthless piece of **** they can make you feel like nothing. Simply because it always seems like no one cares about you, but I care about you, your family care about you, your followers care about you, your friends care about you. Sure, sometimes their actions seem to prove otherwise, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t care. Why would you let someone down grade you to something that you are not? Why would you let yourself fall for other peoples lies? You see all those people trying to make you feel like crap? Well you are above them and you should know that by now, simply because you do not feel the need to put someone down in order to make yourself feel better. Don’t you ever let an ex of yours, feel like you aren’t worth anything. Why give someone the power to control your life? To control what you do and how you feel? This is your life and you need to live it how you want to. This is your life and you need to realise that you are here for a reason. You don’t need someone to come along, to make you feel like you are worth something. You don’t need someone telling that you are worth it. Because you have always been worth it, whether you choose to believe it or not, is entirely up to you. Don’t let someone shape the way that you live and think. Don’t live in fear of never being good enough. The people around you see something special about you and now, it’s time for you. To see it within yourself. You’re worth it, see it. Believe it. Because its the truth and one day you are going to have to accept that fact.

We all want to Support stopping racism, because we sent black and white men to die in war together, before we could be educated together, The end gender inequality, Because women can't where cloths, and feel safe, walking down a street alone, with out feeling were going to get ***** Same or different *** relationships, Because the way you love your significant other, wouldn't be the same if they changed there gender to the other? Transgender rights, Because there a man everywhere else but in there pants, And men don't get cervical cancers, So yes legally changing my gender won't help me if i need a treatment only a lady would get, and this goes vice a versa, But I shouldn't have to worry about any other pains, except the possibility of one in my unwanted **** **** victims, including males, Yes you, Feminist views, Please just Stop over looking, Men go though it too. And we all may know men may be the main cause, Women have just as much play, No human, Wants an unwanted Violation, to come into any contact with them so personally, See all these things, we want to stop, and they need to, but, When u last walked down the street, what stranger did your Arrogant eyes peek? they saw someone, and you though they were, too fat, too small, too tall, a **** needs to button up, he used to pop pills, now he cant pay his bills, and there's so many I'm leaving out, like what they thought about you, so you see, each of these little groups, we just pass each other on the street, even when we didn't even meet, it's human nature, our natural order, to insult each other, some just get the really blunt edge. maybe we should change how we think and act, before we go wishing for things out of our knack's.

What luxury to get mad about last night's basketball loss and watch the full moon descending at the speed the earth turns. Things could get worse personally and for the community. Bombings, killings, anomie boiling frogs and witches cursing. The changing climate, typhoons in the Philippines, volcanoes and tsunamis, WWII which I missed, Thanksgiving nor'easter, Easter twister. What abundance to fast or feast, your choice, stay inside by the stove or go outside, climb the mountainside. Live in a city or small town. So I raged at the coaches for their lazy zone defense like an alien in the bleachers unable to affect the outcome. When my sons came home I yelled at them too. What opulence to be angry about nothing of consequence neither stopped by the cops nor slipped on the ice.

Jack's Time Out
I’m sick of hearing my life’s a haiku. I’m into magic, love, and other sorts of things that are typically voodoo. I’m half ***** from a half assed absent African baby boomer brat. I’m half white trash. Here’s a well formed of dried tears turned into something to sooth my canine teeth. It tastes like Moonshine. I can’t swim anymore, so I’m here drowning in a concrete pool. Always, I look for the hell in you. I sharpen my boot knife for ****** assault protection. The first swipes for the plus 200,000 in counting. The seconds for the 66 percent underreported. The lasts for me, the 29 percent victims aged 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, and 12. We have a higher rate of risking everything. For depression x3. For committing suicide x4. For post traumatic stress disorder x6. For alcohol abuse x13. For drug abuse x26. You all think I’m crazy, I’m not. I sometimes get called stupid, ugly, ***** and thot. I’m in pain, in sorrow. I can’t help it. He did it. No one can undo it. What do we do about it? I wont scream, I won't cry. I’ll ask how he’s doing with glitter and tears in the corner of my eye. And after he's done molesting me, "Want to go grab some coffee or tea?" Personally, I like the cafe down the street. They sell good brunch with amazing croissants. And after this is over, I’d ask him how it was while he turned me over.

A friend once said to me That rejection is a time for reflection And I tend to agree So tell me As I stare into the face of rejection Why is it that I see my own reflection? Am I cursed to take this personally?

On Reflection
MELANIN BEAUTY She was adorable in her coffee tinted skin Her beauty as rare as the clustering of dragonflies Amazing to look upon like the gathering of butterflies Through her eyes stars felt closer than ever Her lips was as beautiful as the opening of petals My heart paused when our eyes came in contact I felt like i have seen the queen of all that is beautiful The envy of every woman there is to be She was thin tall and adorned in elegance Endowed with charisma of an Ethiopian princess Her smile was first born Her beauty always suffocated the crowd   All i could see was the wonder of her skin I have fallen under the spell of this black queen She was a fragile treasure, the elixir of beauty She sparkled like she was kissed by the morning sun She was never satisfied with her perfection Trying to fix what GOD has personally certified Denting you to wear a skin that isn’t yours Like sharp sand i watched her beauty sink rapidly She was deep rooted in self-doubt of her skin pigment Not knowing the magnificence of her existence She never knew she was a gush of glamour Glorious to behold and graced with melanin Gradually she became high on inferiority complex She became lost in a world she was created to own Your beautiful brown body is a work of art Dipped in black gold and coated with brown sugar You define an indestructible uniqueness Your black skin is a badge of superiority Black is magical and above comparison Black complexion is the new religion .

MELANIN BEAUTY
The punitive silences, the bad atmosphere they generate, the mind-games they use to try to **** you in are telltale signs of the toxic person. It could be your in-laws, a parent, coworker, your boss or spouse, a sibling, a roommate, boyfriend or girlfriend, someone you want out of the house. Toxic people want to make you miserable. Especially if you're a decent sort, they hone in on you like a heat-seeking missile. They spew their negativity and blame it on you. They lie constantly, or twist the facts to suit their changing needs of the moment and they never apologize (so don't expect an apology, ever). With a toxic person there is no reciprocity. They sprinkle their toxic dust on you. It makes them feel better. Their ulterior goal is to demean you, to make you feel smaller. They project their worst tendencies onto you, find fault with you for traits you don't possess--- a shadow of the **** that lurks inside them. They try to dictate the emotional atmosphere through their attitude or twisted mood. They drain you of your energy, bring you down, They'll always find a reason why your good news isn't great news. Their agenda is to cut you down to their size, to manipulate and control to **** you over while they play the injured party. Confront the bully. Speak up to the manipulator, the trickster, the backstabber. but beyond a certain point there is no point in arguing with them. Don't try to change the toxic person. You can't. You'd have better luck changing an orangutan into **** sapiens. Only a shrink could change them, and then only if they hit rock-bottom. Don't try to justify yourself. It's a waste of time which would only draw you deeper into their net. Set boundaries to keep their negativity in check. Stop trying to please them. Let that toxic somebody in your life know you're onto them and they can't get away with it anymore. Don't fall into their trap, don't get caught up in their life-dramas or try to get them out of trouble. Don't let them instill guilt in you. But try not to take their toxicity personally. Remember, it's them, not you. You are not to blame though they desperately want you to feel you've done something wrong. If necessary (and if possible), delete the toxic person from your life and move on. Know when enough is enough. Saying good riddance doesn't necessarily mean you hate them, it means your own well-being comes first. Immunize yourself. Preserve your inner strength. Set your own rules. And, when possible, just walk away.

When I'd wake alone in bed at 4am Again To find you passed out on the couch Too wasted to notice the heart breaking in front of you I tried every day But you preferred synthetic hugs and to hide in a place where the expectations were low   Escapes and excuses more alluring than I could ever be Through tears I would plead 'Why don't you want to sleep with me!?' I shouldn't have taken it so personally But nobody saw me cry Especially not you Blind to my own tears Large doses of denial dished out A feast for the masses Perhaps the most powerful drug of them all My soul mate disappeared each day a little more Maybe today will be different Hope The beautiful motivator Maybe today It will be me that you choose Naively believing that you had control But then I woke alone in bed at 4am Again Manipulated and used

Having defied gravity (not me personally but by proxy namely through a dog, monkey and Soyuz and fruit flies and bullfrogs and lately through NASA) I defy humility I brave it, I challenge it for there’s too much hypocrisy in humility For humility is such that it never speaks its name For when it speaks of Humility it is Sans Humility Take me for example - you hardly hear me mention myself as Saint Humility, do you? But that’s what I am, my other name: Humility But people keep insisting on calling me Saint Humility But I defy Humility POSTSCRIPT I also defy repetition and over-emphasis and contradiction, paradox But, it must not be left unsaid - in defying humility, I think I’ve also quite inadvertently defined humility: Saint Me

I see she smokes cigarettes & I wonder why she wants to die. She sighs, "Personally, it's my own method of suicide." She inhales, & blows out beautiful smoke rings. Then she slashes away each one to nothing. "There," she whispers, "destruction by the creator." She smiled softly and inhaled. I understood what she said. She was destroying herself, because she blames herself, for the final creation of herself. 3 more perfect smoke rings sighed out of her. They were intense, honest, & powerful, just like she was.

Walk onto a stage called life and take a look around. There's much to be found in such a small space, more to give and much to take as the curtains called and you're pulled into this performance. Stare into the audience and pray for applause but what if you're met with silence? Spotlight on you as your hopes are ejected and you my friend have just been rejected and that is a hard thing to take. So take a seat, a rejection seat. Front row to your failures as they come In-ter-view. Call it the Dragons Den the Lions Pit and yet they ask me what kind of animal i'll be as i sit and daydream about Spiderman in a suit listing qualities of make believe as he's forced to fill in a CV just like me; not that i'm a superhero, i'm just saving face you see, it's just an amusing thought to ease the anxiety. And the voluntears they come in turn. Call em that cause they come momentarily to remind me involuntarily that sometimes i do need help and not all things are easy, not all things are meant to be. So i take a seat, will you take one with me? As you watch that relationship sail and wonder how did it fail? Bon voyAge is irrelevant. Whether it be school crush folly to divorcee it's a learning curve right? Hard when it seems the only thing you taught me is what it means to feel lonely. It's cold in that place called the one way street, so take a seat. Pull up a chair to something that's no longer there and share in despair as you stare at your feet. But you will raise your head eventually. Adopt the thinkers pose, indulge in some feelosophy. Cause a friend once said to me that rejection is a time for reflection and i tend to agree. So tell me, as i stare into the face of rejection why is it that i see my own reflection? Am i cursed to take this personally? It's always the shoulda, woulda, couldas that get to me. Do they get to you? If so take a seat. And are you sitting uncomfortably? Cause you shouldn't be. Take comfort as you stare along row upon row of chairs that stretch along beyond you and me. Side to side, across from and diagonally. Filling the Feartre. There's many to be found in such a small space, more that give and much that take and though this may be the closing scene there's another show tomorrow and you and I will receive our standing ovation, just take my hand and stand with me. Cause this seat was only ever meant to be temporary.

Honesty
I've known an extraordinary lady,                 'Cause I wrote poems in HP,                                                         Well, I thank HP a lot,                                                 That I have the opportunity,                                        To know a person like her!                 And found out  we have the same nationality, Not only that, she write these exceptional and amazing poems!!           I was overwhelmed!                 And blithesomely chatted her,                             She replied, We have a good talk,                  I was so broken into splinters those times,              I could hardly remember the throe,         But her words glare brightest in my heart, She inspired me,          With the hurting truth,                    Well, I knew truth hurts, Then we always chat,     We exchange phone numbers,                  And texting even not in HP, 'Cause I knew she is so much busy, But I'm still texting her telling,                      "I'M SO GLAD TO BE Your FRIEND." And that, "Ohayou Gozaimasu, konnichiwa & konnbanwa"              "Kiotsukete kudasai Roan-chan!" Oh yeah!            We love Japan, and their language,                  That made me love her even more.                        (Love as friend okay?!)     We exchange google+ & fb,         And saw her angelic face,             Scattering over her timeline,                  I saw a beautiful soul,                        Dancing and gleaming inside of her,       She's indeed a very good friend,                              When I have heartaches and tribulations,                                      I share her my pain and sorrows, She's like the sun in the noon time,                   Heating me up with her love and care,                     But even though I have not met her personally,                 I knew for sure that I'm so much blessed,             To know such a golden spirit,                               Such rare being in the amidst, And I do knew,                              That God will lead us together,                          To spend time personally as friends, Together with Ma'am Sally,                         As what she told me,           "We should have this ~poetess date~ " How I long for that day! I really pray to God,                       *That He will give you,                          The best of the life,*    *Give you good health,           To continue enjoying life to it's fullest,* *To have many more birthdays to come,                  For you to see more,       Of the beauty of God's creation,*                             *And to find,                      That very right man,             That your heart longs to find,                 For quiet elongated time.* *I pray also,           That you will remain,                  To be light to all people,*             *And be that very good friend, Everyone longs for,* In this beautiful day,                    I pray you will be the happiest person alive,                             And celebrate this marvelous day,                                           God had given you.       "Maligayang Kaarawan Aking Kaibigan."                    © Earl Jane                             ♥ E.J.C.S.

my beggar poem
Has anyone heard about her? This magnificent girl, my fangirl parter, the other half to the photography duo? If so, please contact me. Todays her birthday, and yes I'm a few hours late, but I'd like to say a very Happy Birthday to my dear friend. She has helped me through tough times, and has been through a lot herself, but she's a survivor. She's MIA, and I need my friend back... Well, I hope she is doing well, she's finally becoming a teenager (but totally not a normal stereotypical one, who needs normal anyways?) and I'm so proud. -tear- She's come a long way and I've had the privilege of knowing her personally. Hope you're okay and that you see this, Maha. Tata for now ;) -Creep

Happy Birthday, Maha Salma!
Why have two arms? If you're not willing to hug. People are quick to punch with two arms. Even with one arm. You can deliver a lovin' hug. It these limps that truly assist us. Sure there are others. But at the present. I'm not mentioning them. Altho' I'm sure the lips. Are a little jealous. Why have two hands? If you're not willing to use them. We use them to shake hands. Altho' we have those afraid to catch a germ. As if. They hadn't caught germs from other items in their life. This hug. Which can be given with kindness. Which can be deivered with softness. Well, in this case. The receiver might have a sun burn. Or some other type of injury. Plus, you can hug too tight. And be banned from trying that again. When requested to just shake hands. Of course. You have those that does the search and feel. Trying to be like a detective trying to pat you down. But for those that's truly sincere. You personally know those that's sincere. When giving a hug.

Hug
Howard Dully was twelve years old when Dr. Freeman felt so bold to dig around inside his head a wonder that he isn't dead. The year was 1963, when Howard had his lobotomy. He never even had a clue, of what his parents planned to do.                   ORBITOCLASTS The name Freeman gave to his personally designed lobotomy knives. They went under Howard's eyelids 3 centimeters from the mid line and parallel with the nose. Driven to a depth of 5 centimeters he pulled the handles laterally, returned them halfway, and drove 2 centimeters deeper.  He touched the handles over the nose, seperated them 45 degrees, elevated them 50 degrees, and at this point he probably smiled to himself. For now they were parallel, and ready for photography before removal. An angry stepmom arranged it all, she made the final judgement call. They labeled Howard as insane.... opened him up, and juggled his brain. Howard survived because he was still growing. Not fully developed, his brain would keep going.... off in directions he couldn't control but never condeming the depths of his soul. Not long ago I read his book. I felt intrigued to take a look. I hope, dear reader, you do the same. Remember his story, remember his name.

The Equalist! RE: The guerrilla girl’s poster 5% women artists yet 85% of the models are female. This poster was heralded as a feminist rebuff of misogyny and the male gaze. It is my opinion: one of the reasons females are more sexualised than males in Western society; is because the majority of women working in a sexualised industry such as modelling, dancing, fashion or *********** choose to perpetuate that role and the connection between *** and femininity; often in industries where females outnumber the men six to one; I'm also aware that the majority of the hierarchy in theses industries are male, it seems their gender solidarity is more concerned with the money; than notions of ****** inequality; thus perpetuating the issue. Vernacular test: Step one - Question one: I took a survey of 30 fellow artists asking what is a misandry? followed by what is your gender? Step two - Question two: I took a survey of 30 fellow artists asking what is a misogyny? followed by what is your gender? I did offer any information or allow any of the subjects to see the survey paper, or overhear the question. Results: 30 subjects took part in the survey; One female knew both words and their meaning, and one female didn't know what Misogyny was. (Two females approached refused to take part in the survey, all men approached engaged.) Step three - Question three: I then gave all the subjects the dictionary definition and asked why they thought the vernacular misandry is not as well known as the word misogyny? (I should add that I too couldn't recall the vernacular meaning of: Misandry; though I could recall the meaning or definition of Misogyny.) Answers: Female... "I don't care" Female... "It's due to a gender economic imbalance" Female..."Blokes just don't like it when women speak out about it" Female..."I don't get involved in protests" Female..."I don't know" Female..."Men just think with their ****** Female... "There's more misogynists" Female... "Because men are pigs" Female... "Why does it mater" Female... "It's just a word" Female... "I'm not interested" Female..."Try being a women" Female... " It's ******** it's just a vernacular" Female..."You wouldn't understand your a man" The other 5 Females... chose to offer no explanation. Answers: Male..."I don't know" Male... "who cares" Male... "Yeh that's interesting" Male... Why does it matter" Male... "Let me think about it" Male... "Who gives a **** Male... "What's this about" Male... "Can I see the results later" The other 2 males... Chose to offer no explanation. I personally identify as human; and don't wish to be defined, labeled or marginalised; I also don’t believe that secularism in any measure is healthy or meaningful in an inclusive society. I question why 29 out of 30 subjects had heard of Misogyny; and just one person had heard of Misandry. Sexism is not as the dictionary suggested prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women. Everyone is effected buy prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination. The subtleties of which is played out every day.
