"penumbrous" poems
Dusk:
She takes the darkness into her sequestered bed,
tucked beneath the sheets,
and lets it shine with a penumbrous glow.
Dawn:
She places the darkness between her lips,
gently thrusts it to the back of her sonorous throat,
and hides it behind her sweet Southern smile.
