"panthers" poems
Determination is part motivation and part support Motivation to do tasks yourself Motivation from your family But what do those people do when they don't have You know the motivation the black panthers had to fight the power The motivation that Martin had to to have a dream The motivation that rosa had not to move The motivation that Harriet had to move slaves to freedom The motivation that slaves had to work all day picking cotton but still sang those ***** spirituals to get them through the day Motivation leading to determination that a race won't be held down by anyone But I wonder where that is today...

Determination
Extra Extra ...Read all about it!!!..The time for the righteous ***** is dead...You claim Your stature of limitations..But all you got is knowledge...Let me reconstruct the past...That the ones you preaching to don't see...Slavery...to share croppers.. to steal mill workers...Cotton pick en...to bootleg ‘en...to crack rock..slag ‘en...They got Aids from monkeys..So lets give it to all the monkeys..They know to much lets bury the smart ones under all the dummies...Rise up you righteous *** Shabazz..With more medals then Marcus Garvey...but this dispositions is thicker than the stash on Steve Harvey. Cuz the kids they love the Wiz...and all the green he smoke...Forget the yellow brick road...its these white bricks they see as Gold...But you so righteous with black power on Your bumper sticker...And so sweet that your water start to be thicker...then blood...with a hood that attack your own progression..You Been righteous for so long..with hope you feel depression..that you accuse your brother of mental retardation...urban gentrification...when he still live in the same house he did the year before...but you been moved to the east side on the top floor..You righteous *** ***** you been pronounced dead...back when them bombs hit over Bagdad...they waved the white flag..but you just made it easy...cuz you still so righteous...you done Got Fat, Turned Gay...and rallying for pride marches...Cuz you don’t know what else to do...your time is over..Them black cats use to be panthers, now you dress them up...and placed us all in a new minority...just to keep your righteous priority...Are You still looking East, or have you finally excepted the West..

About Me (Bio- Non Poem)
I am a ***** Minus the triggers being pulled and the drugs being sold But just a black man bold enough to face a world so cold A cold world we call society When being black and sobriety doesn't mix because we use drugs in variety But quietly I am a ***** Thinking what made this word so negative Is it because we made it positive Or is it negative we became cognitive enough for a scholarship Yes, I am a ***** no I'm not a rapper But this system makes me sick enough for chicken soup and crackers Yes, I am a ***** and I am an athlete And I still maintain my sanity from having my *** beat Although I am a ***** I am not lesser than you Nor am I second to you I just wonder what it takes to get the message to you Crazy I'm a ***** yet I still know my father Crazier calling me a ***** doesn't give me a bother Maybe it's crazy that I'm a part of the problem What's craziest is I'm a ***** still attending a college You should have no problem reading this regardless of race What's absurd is a word means more than a face We're more focused on race than we are as a species But I'm going to sit back and take a sip of this sweet tea We went from black panthers, huge bushes, picks, and combs I thought words could never hurt you? What happened to sticks and stones?

I Am A *****
1. You could not wait til halftime to check your poem or add one. 2. You wrote a sonnet about pretty horses. (Broncos) 3.You wrote a poem about kittens.(Panthers) 4. As the ball soars through the air, you are reminded of a bird in flight. 5. A Superbowl commercial inspired a new poem. 6. You paused the game with your DVR to write a piece. 7. You think the referees look like majestic Zebra on the African plains. 8. You ponder the coin toss and wonder of chance and philosophical questions as to whether life is like a paradox, then write yourself a poem about it. 9. When a tackle is made, you think upon the animalistic nature of humanity and write a haiku about it. 10. There is a notebook and pen right next to your remote and munchies. 11. You have a neck ache due to looking at your hellopoetry site and then back up at the t.v. 12. You write Peyton Manning farewell poem. 13. The commentator of the game makes a poetical statement and you use it in your latest poem. 14. The crowd boos a player and you feel compelled to write the pain of number 94 in a poem. 15. Last but not least, you might be a poet if you are reading this and the game is on.

Amidst the humidity and darkness of the forest floor ants scurry in hyper-speed over invisible highways mushrooms spread boldly beneath wise wooden giants At night, black panthers weave through thick overgrowth, undetected, as birds quieten their hungry young and sleep But even in the rich darkness of the dense forest micro flashes of silken pink and yellow cream can be seen catching the moon's light, glowing like precious gems By day these colours dim in their translucent chambers atop the world's most beautiful, fearless caterpillar This tiny being boldly ventures from one leaf to another while all others cower underneath Its crystal spikes hide only soft, sticky goo and it is no bigger than a fingernail But don't be fooled by its size and raw beauty, this bejeweled crown easily summons its strength to move faster than the predators awaiting Its beauty comes not only from its form but in its lion-hearted spirit and grace This confident caterpillar lives and surrenders to change without the leaden shackles of fear and worry and when the time comes she embraces and is transformed again to something new.

For my girl
We are the forgotten ones The ones who can articulate beyond the guns and knifes. We don't need a beat Our word flow through emotionally. We are here to capture and decipher minds Teach them all those things school has left behind How history is only written by the victor How there's more to blacks than Rosa Parks, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr's his..tory. Let's not leave out the truth. Poets stand up, fight for the youth. We share our truth about love Let's share the truth about knowledge Forget the cliches of if life gives you lemons make lemonade. We freed ourselves from the British. Then enslaved Africa and made them forget who they were. Only of Britain would had thought of that first. Let's not sugar coat the past Let's control the present and the future. Poets stand up We are the symphonies of hip hop, rap and r&b; We are the class. We are the Billy Holliday and Marvin Gay of this new era. Like the fitted cap we fit snugg. Poets stand up. **** speaking on unicorns and rainbows The sunny side of the chi. Just last night my Lil man's got shot by the cops. I use to say he was my son Now I plan his funeral with his mom. Poets stand up Bloods, crips, gangsters, thugs re unite as the black panthers. Poets stand up! Poets stand up! As they say ok ok your 15 seconds of fame Is up. No more from you today Mr. Ananymous.

Poets stand up
The moon's virginal silvern lustre drapes over the navy blue curtains There is a sacred power that the moon has, for it is the Left Eye of the goddess, Bast An Eye of Ra, Great Lady of the East, She Who Earned a Crown of the Orisha Her silverfire grants the felines power to turn the simple black cat into a panther at night As black, swift and silent as a raven's wing With eyes as green as a meadow in Spring Stalking the jungle with the darkness as her cloak But with darkness dawns a new and bright light For she is a Orisha with the sun in her heart For she passes the flame into the herb shaped like a heart, swept and burning with violet glow That burns through every vein of yours and then you rise, born again new Consume that flame, eat Her heart and she will meet you in the Ancestral Planes but take great care, as she grants you her presence and power on if you are worthy Under the glimmering borealis Flickers of violet and pink and white becoming moving flames with kisses of blue that stroke the various crests of clouds Lights that dance, ride and raise with   winds of hope and change though the infinite skies Hearing murmurs and voices the wind will blow around you, a changed spirit It is then you will know It is then you will see That Bast is smiling directly at you Come and meet the Panthers who molded the past in order to make sense and build the future Come and meet the Panthers who united the tribes, turning war to peace And now here comes the new King Who knows there is strength in unity For tribes divided can never stand And through learning that he possessed a naively closed mind, scrutinised the words spoken, not the ones who were speaking He was not his father but now with the Mantle passed, he must learn from his father's mistakes Prince T'challa of Wakanda Son of King T'chaka Rise from cub to the Panther on the protective prowl Seen worthy of Bast's blessings carries her Eye that is never blind He will remember all that his eyes have scene from his successes and struggles but also his heart The Heart of a King with the fire in his spirit Sprint o'er the sea towards the horizon The Black Panther who reigns over Wakanda How he stands proudly with a coat of black with his heart rooted and mind conscious of the mistakes of the past, has his eyes of the sunrise which has the world and beyond singing to the Sun, the Moon and Wakanda's sacred tune

Once we were panthers, sleek and powerful embroidered in the silks of midnight and dawn. Passing the reflections of city windows as all bare streets gave us their throats- Tasting of blood and love. And then the morning went away. The dust settled with a silent thunderclap the open streets closed upon us with a wall of eyes, We reached our hands forth and touched nothing - but the ivory shadow left by daffodils in death. The day the morning went away. We poured our questions into the water supply, we drank the mix as the night rolled by. It painted upon our minds that we were snow coated deer and soon we took their form. We never made love again we simply locked horns until the roosters call called us to stop. For to make love became a ********** and to **** without mercy our golden seduction into their secret submission The day the morning went away. Your perfect stranger became your perfect enemy your perfect enemy, your perfect friend and you were silenced by the thunderclap you were silenced by the thunderclap. My little panther afraid of the quiet thunder afraid of the doe eyed stare that cuts you from the mirror cuts you right down to the bone. I watched you place your tiny white lipstick to the corner of your eyes and manicure your perfect stag horns as you brace yourself to step outside. The morning mist comes into your lungs and you exhale a liar’s hello to all below. The day the morning went away. Our ebony coats were hung up on a nail we once were panthers now our hearts are meek we once were panthers we once chose to seek, now we flee at the sight of moths dancing in the summer light. We once were panthers we once were panthers we once were glorious panthers.

BEYONCE IT'S YOUR TIME (TELL 'EM HOW YOU FEEL)
7:30PM, October 9, 2015, 65*F, 10mph breeze, 5% humidity (somehow 10% where I was sitting), 50.0001% chance of rain, dark, cold, late, loud...I think that's enough. Alright! Spoiler alert, Birkston High won the game. If you simply have ears you've known that for a while (many of us who were at the game don't). All the people in Grenfolkshire were there, so there were some empty bleachers, but the Student section was full and lively, and did I say loud, because LOUD....! My ears were ringing (at a B8 note, for the musically overcurious people) for three days straight. I think it was a healthcare tactic, dare I say it. All those figurehead townspeople were there as well, like Mayor Arnofold Plattersbury with his orange jumpsuit, waving a pompom in the air like he just didn't care. Really, he didn't-I got whacked in the head with it eleven times. Recently, after taking a recent poll on the recent event, it was found that only about 35% of people really knew what happened, a number that has declined, recently. This very well is contributed to 1.) most of the people are there for the free food and don't exactly major in football 2.) teenagers are highly social creatures 3.) a bunch of hands in the air and six foot tall mammoths standing on the bleachers will tend to block the view of the people who are five foot small. The freshmen had a real problem on their heads. Nevertheless, the Wildcats found themselves with the bell for another year, whether they knew it or not. The Panthers found themselves nose-in-the-dirt, tail-dragging, while we found ourselves filing out like a herd of wild penguins onto the field.

School trip
In the heart of your ears through splendid cities pierced with light, the river murmurs of mad seas in lonesome rooms of the veins in the arms of notorious daughters, oh blue waters! i sing and the woods sing! she stands polka dotted in a great bronze chariot the shivering willows like an ***** of iron down the long black river we entwine our thin arms and great conquering black eyes the sky is hell-red where the stars are sleeping. in the sacred woods, under the light of the horizon the poet speaks of eternal voice organ-pipes; I cared nothing for all the horrible spinning eyes of the ferris wheel, clamouring birds seen as archipelagos and the eyes of panthers nodody gives a **** about real birds like the voluptuous coyote eagle

innocence on the horizon and in the sacred woods
Some dudes are down to fight but they don't. But what's crazy is that ******* won't fight around white people they're trying to impress. They don't want to be a **** even though they don't know that we're all ***** in some way. So when I slug you, I'm not slugging you, and when you slug me; you're not slugging me; we're just trying to break free. I miss the days of black pride, black panthers and black determinism, when we weren't killing each other and we weren't killing them we were killing what needed to be killed; a mindset. Without Marcus, Malcolm, Tupac, Martin, and Carlos we are lost and we fight, because all the black flowers that used to bloom no longer bloom, and the hope the resided in the birth of a screaming child no longer resides.

Rulers of the Fall
Feeling at this time, that I should really go to bed, but Still I lay awake, and contemplate, what Fred Hampton said: “If you dare to struggle, then you dare to win, if you dare Not to Struggle, then you don't deserve to win.” They shot him dead in his bed, tell me how long has it been? 10, 20, nearly 50 years, since the things that happened then, What happened to the Panthers, Malcolm X and Dr. King, or The Anarchists in Spain, the songs of victory they'd sing? What happened to the world of struggle, in which they all used to live? Where liberation's sweet embrace propelled the efforts they would give You see, we need to put the ‘unity’ back into ‘community,’ and That begins with you and me, living side by side, and Working with each other, taking measures to deride, the Ills of our condition that serve only to divide, Those old notions of race, those old notions of gender, with Raised fists, as we march, taking heed to engender, A whole new way of life, and a vision to render, Filled with class consciousness, making us a contender, Maybe I could lie down, and I could find some rest now, If we would only stop to realize that we're the real ‘how.’

I was a clueless human, with no sense of direction. scientists say they cure me, so they can get rid of my infection; They were wrong. Once they injected me, I was about to have a different sight. There just something about me that doesn't feel right. Suddenly, I became black as the knight The scientists are after me, so either I'll run, or fight. By the time I grow out my fangs, you better run, or hide. Because I get furious when you look at me in the eye. As I smell upon their fear, evil scientist beware, to my brown eyes and my razor sharp claws, I must save human society before things go wrong. Even though this transformation, seems to be a mystery, my goal is to interact with panthers In order to save humanity. I'm faster, I'm stronger, I'm wiser, I am the Panther.

Panther
"Let me do it for the many worlds I simultaneously exist as birds and bees, beasts of pray, majestic tree or tiny organism human beings of diverse persuasions , male , female, inhabiting in parallel time lines, sinner and saint seeking salvation together" He delves deep in the heart of blue, fathomless, abyss, a country new where meanings differ, voices are petering to the valley of silence. The rivers are silver bands, mountain peaks soft pillows, the clouds sheets fresh and crisp, spread gently over the undulating water bed of seas, so inviting, soporific, fire lovingly ripens the fruits of temptation that hangs from branches, drink the bubbly white wine of rain pouring in to your cup, breezes are nice silk, towels to dry one softly after sweating too much, when ends the frenzied search through the mazes, for each other, in the play ground of wolves  and panthers, friendly beyond belief.  Day and night, one comes to know are made from the same cloth, wearing a day easy is difficult as evening comes closer, it gets soiled, however careful one is, needs to stuff it in a container the dark sea, tame like a bucketful of water, it takes so long to clean. Morning,  time to wear the new dress,  embark on a new day again we are men and women here, creatures of circumstances, in disguises don't ever pretend there is a world real, and you exist here just for fun like a fish coming up for air, now he surfaces with a sly happy smile.

Just be here, exist in a secret world for real
Vaguely lit by the summer moon of dark blue,  pierced with light;  the river murmurs, the devils paladins; lies in wait for more than a thousand years!      the evening shadows pulling faces, the hidden window. Of worlds on a journey, a thousand years sad ophelia. Has murmured its ballad, the paladins are dancing. Sighing around her through this horror of space. The black gallows moans, and to all these worlds his black puppets weep on her shoulder, of an eternal voice unfathomable space; I no longer felt myself, I have seen malstroms eternal, devouring the green azores, where the eyes of panthers trembled to feel, down into the abysses! the black gallows moans.
