Lies I Sir Box
I existed for you, mister; I extolled your  complex nature. I was intoxicated, briefly; you were good. You excelled at smart seduction; you outfoxed me with your hoaxes. I didn't watch my heart the way I should; but by the flux of your affections, it meant approximately nothing. Any buxom minx could have you if she tried. It was a lonely anticlimax, but I kicked my sad fixation and nixed your plans to decimate my pride.

Question on everythingAnswers to nothing The life of a child is filled with the uncertainties The loyalty of dog is never questioned WhyThe price of lifeStill undecided Or Could it be the price or happiness Cheap to some To other worth their life The isolation of the world and the selfish desires of the consumers the Demons of the selfless The red dragon slayed once more by saint George The red fox once more outfoxed himself And the red wheelbarrow once more pondered The silence of spring is not yet know Yet its warning were simply filibustered The Constitution of man is on cannabis And the brain yet free is still bound to earth What is seen is not believed until the other Senses can agree We can’t even trust ourselves The world is full of Thomas’s But where are the geniuses of sin In the powers of state And the archangel of the sinless is a minority Caste to the chasten life of a three headed god in the temple Of Zion on the River Tiberius For the eagle flies in the fog led only by the call of Self indulgence The root of all evil Yet the reason for survival The green frog jumps across the road But what is on the other side That is the answer to the question

Today-
I am an old stool that sits at the corner of a soggy bar. Peoples names etched into me like rigged little scars. Surrounded with scraps of sad saps coaxing demons from within their repertoire. Shadows of pretty pale faces twisted in the dim light collect over the years. I'm sticky from thousands of spilt beer and silent tears. I cling to your worn jeans as you rest upon me. You find it cozy; I am the only one that holds onto you with desperation and not the other way around. But don't be outfoxed. I don't need you. I don't need you like the juke box ****** needs the needle hidden in his socks. I don't need you like the bartender needs his private bottle of Jamison to soothe his own life's hard knocks. I don't need you like the blonde at the end of the counter needs someone's beer stained breath hot against her coin slot. Because I'm just a stool. An old fool, forgotten in the corner of your soggy cesspool.

Inanimate
So you are not fooled by pretty perfumed bombs that explode in clouds of kisses and whispers of yes, not outfoxed by foxiness, sleight of hand and hips not suckered by my puckered lips and yet you gladly fall for all my tricks.

Nobody's Fool
Once upon a time There was more than enough time To pony up To horse around To leap frog Once upon a time You could chicken out Or worm your way in You could cook your goose And eat it too Once upon a time You could cry wolf Or clam up You could count sheep Or tell a whale of a tale You could get the monkey Off your back Then live high on the hog But time has outfoxed us all Nowadays time is on the lamb
