"necessary" poems
left my phone unlocked on the taxi’s back seat, won't be the last time called it a few times finally, the driver picked up he had a fare immediately after mine, and was now headed way downtown, and would call later when fate returned him nearer my office and so it came to pass, very shortly thereafter, we met on the street, he rolled down  the window and with the greatest smile of pleasure, as if he had won the lottery beaming, handed me my phone I had two $20's to cover any expense he might have incurred, neatly folded in my hand   and offered it right up, right away; but the driver repeatedly pushed my hand away as I insisted, saying: *"No sir, no no, not necessary! Allah sent me a fare that took me soon back close to you, so,   no loss of time did I suffer, so your offer is kindly unnecessary!"* to which I replied, *"exactly! Allah sent you to me so I could reward you!"* and with an equally, beaming smile I continued, *"our ride and meeting today, together was pre-ordained it was* Inshallah!" ^ something he could not dispute... or my knowledge thereof and it’s proper pronouncement, nor his amazement, to disguise!   we parted ways    each believing,    each receiving, a heavenly check plus, each, credited with a mitzvah^^ on our respective trip logs, our humanly divine balance sheets, kept by the single supreme taxi dispatcher

I. The moon sings the languid flower,   to bloom at midnight hour Harmonious feast transpires -   luminescent choir Petals mirror la hue de Luna,   but pale below her glow Though the desert sweet aroma,   is fragrance plus photo Neither causing nightly failure,   in idyllic charm In fact, those powers are greater,   together than apart II. The moon a long gone distant rock,   yet pulls on ocean tops Cereus lures with sweetest tricks,   and stings with countless licks   Battered holy asteroid face,  woos flawless solar gaze And even though it causes mire,   lunar eclipses fire The cactus thrives in driest sands,   and chokes in fertile lands Alluring lonesome wanderers,   promising mere water The lucid beauty bewilders,   as much as it can haunt In fact, those powers are greater,   together than apart III. You, once my cereus and moon,   were drowned in my love well Perhaps, I was this to you too,   though your hole I’d not delve However, what was first velvet,   morphed into devil’s horns Winter shed those thorns in my chest,   now spring gifts hope and more The icy grips of each winter,   provides spring fuel to spark In fact, those powers are greater,   together than apart IV. Although we've gone on our own ways,   I wouldn’t change the past For each step was necessary,   to find true love at last We were once greater together. I’m now greater apart.

My Cereus and Moon
#*We're awakened to our insatiable longing for heaven through both beauty and the painful marring of it. For beauty hints to us of that for which we are truly made, and its marring shouts that we are truly not meant to find it here. We can be eternally grateful for beauty lost when we realize that it's one of the great secret-tellers of the universe. Still we fear it so and often fear even to hope for the beauty itself, though they are a necessary cycle that fuels us on and drives us home. We cannot deny or diminish our intense longing for beauty-- to see it and have it and be it, and we cannot pretend that its dreadful loss does not press down upon us like a crushing weight. We must let it crush us until our ache for heaven is excruciating.*#

Beauty and Beauty Lost
~for L3igh~ the briefness of brevity, the quality of giving and indeed, it is a-quality, a luxury item so affordable, yet, so totally, rarely purchased, When giving up the requisite, only the lonely, but always the critical, relevant or necessary exquisite in a few words Let us practice: I love you, but only the very first time, in a memory bronzed and burnished, putting to shame the way too short modesty of forever… uttering a precious precision of a soulful thank you to a passing stranger, who runs into your home afire, saving all of your family's lives could go on, and on, But that would not be, A Concision, instead, a concession, to the very few times in a day, in the world's entirety, when those are the words, are only the only, a sufficient holy, a devout summary spectacular, akin, but only a just, derivative of, a sincerely uttered: Thank You God^ nml

we like to shower afterwards (I like the water hotter than she) and her face is always soft and peaceful and she'll watch me first spread the soap over my ***** lift the ***** squeeze them, then wash the **** "hey, this thing is still hard!" then get all the hair down there,- the belly, the back, the neck, the legs, I grin grin grin, and then I wash her. . . first the **** I stand behind her, my **** in the cheeks of her *** I gently soap up the **** hairs, wash there with a soothing motion, I linger perhaps longer than necessary, then I get the backs of the legs, the *** the back, the neck, I turn her, kiss her, soap up the ******* get them and the belly, the neck, the fronts of the legs, the ankles, the feet, and then the **** once more, for luck. . . another kiss, and she gets out first, toweling, sometimes singing while I stay in turn the water on hotter feeling the good times of love's miracle I then get out. . . it is usually mid-afternoon and quiet, and getting dressed we talk about what else there might be to do, but being together solves most of it for as long as those things stay solved in the history of women and man, it's different for each- for me, it's splendid enough to remember past the memories of pain and defeat and unhappiness: when you take it away do it slowly and easily make it as if I were dying in my sleep instead of in my life, amen.

Kindness glides about my house. Dame Kindness, she is so nice! The blue and red jewels of her rings smoke In the windows, the mirrors Are filling with smiles. What is so real as the cry of a child? A rabbit's cry may be wilder But it has no soul. Sugar can cure everything, so Kindness says. Sugar is a necessary fluid, Its crystals a little poultice. O kindness, kindness Sweetly picking up pieces! My Japanese silks, desperate butterflies, May be pinned any minute, anesthetized. And here you come, with a cup of tea Wreathed in steam. The blood jet is poetry, There is no stopping it. You hand me two children, two roses.

Dancing, Thrashing, Cascading Down the barren stone tower, Through the craggy, coarse cliffs Refining, polishing the necessary features And streaming for the duration of my adventure, One might wonder: Why? Why! Oh what a question— To purify what will soon be soiled in a moment’s time, And yet, unremittingly, Over, ad nauseam, again. I cannot die. No agony or desolation can destroy me. Amaranthine, ceaseless, everlasting! I hold steadfast, staunch, unrelenting. I am a waterfall. Nought can destroy me. I am forever...

Poetry is like a ***** in its wobbly, dangly freeness (This poems not the cleanest so stop reading if you're a little squeamish) Some have it, some don't some use it, some won't some like it awkward with a twist at the end like a shakespearean couplet but on the person it depends for others its merely secondary (oh but always necessary) to the holder - their Mars or Venus So, as god is my witness, poetry is a *****

Change is necessary. Right? Change is a good thing? Right? Change is Scary and confusing. Change scares the hell out of me. Change leaves me in a state of frustration. Change can heal the soul and tear it apart. Leaving little pieces scattered about. But I must think of little caterpillars that turn into beautiful butterflies. Change is necessary.

I never got the chance, To see the outside world, Since I was sacrificed, For the honor of my family. I sleep on the floor, Right next to dogs, I eat from the floor, Just like a dog, But I work for, a very honorable family. My mother-in-law is loving, She wants the best for me, A daughter as a child would be bad right? Us, being a family with honor and pride. I was violated, But my life was complete, I married him, The honor of the family wasn't tarnished at-least. I don't want to marry, My heart lies among the paints and brushes, I shall marry, My mind knows unmarried girls bring taints and shushes. My brother gets home by 3am, Me, 10 hours earlier, My dreams, my life, my need for freedom? These don't bring honor to the family. My aunt died, I will too, My husband passed away, Awaiting me are flames that flare and sway. Our lives are a necessary sacrifice, Our families should live, with honor and pride.

Honor and Pride
Cold now. Close to the edge. Almost unbearable. Clouds bunch up and boil down from the north of the white bear. This tree-splitting morning I dream of his fat tracks, the lifesaving suet. I think of summer with its luminous fruit, blossoms rounding to berries, leaves, handfuls of grain. Maybe what cold is, is the time we measure the love we have always had, secretly, for our own bones, the hard knife-edged love for the warm river of the I, beyond all else; maybe that is what it means the beauty of the blue shark cruising toward the tumbling seals. In the season of snow, in the immeasurable cold, we grow cruel but honest; we keep ourselves alive, if we can, taking one after another the necessary bodies of others, the many crushed red flowers.

If (WO)men are the ones that suffer an exacerbated amount Of the violence, the **** the abuse, and everything that comes with and from struggle and alienation; it is because of their femininity that men at times have come to believe that their contributions soften institutions. That at times throughout history neither capitalism, neoliberalism nor revolutionary experiments like that of Cuba have placed femininity as compatible with progress or resolution. In which case femininity must be hidden, silenced, or displaced with no purpose or place to belong. Thus everyone closely associated with this femininity such as homosexuals, transgendered (WO)men, and "effeminate" males, (ignoring, subverting and negating the lesbian identity because of their gender) have come to be marginalized by a structural system of exclusion. (WO)men carrying the highest burden for originating the associative distinction Homosexuals battling to find love by constantly having to assert their masculinity Transgendered (Wo)men afraid of expressing their through identity. Lesbians fighting to legitimize their own identity separate from the directives ascribed onto them by virtue of being born women. Males who are labeled effeminate because of their sympathy toward those who struggle and are alienated. And every other individual who refuses to deliver to give a marker to their identity and a degree to their femininity. Hold fast in your femininity and embrace the rancor that society grants you As a homosexual I speak with you brother and sister, not for you Realize that our self-ascribed degrees of femininity and identity are as revolutionary and transformative, and thus necessary, as those of Che Guevara, Mohammed Ali, Harriet Tubman, or the Dali Lama. That because we have decided to embrace our degrees of femininity, problematic to any movement, at one point or another, we have inadvertently decided to align our selves with those who are alienated the most by the systems in which they live. So that in this way we must make our struggles deliberate and political. Let our degrees of femininity become legitimizing banners of solidarity for anyone who suffers in any corner of the world.

The most important things in life are often those we have to choose from at critical times.  They very often represent and determine the course our life will take and to what extent we have in controlling or shaping it.  With whatever choice we make, opportunities arise and by making the most of these we realise the relative benefits to be gained or otherwise.  Through our committment and willingness to achieve a goal, irrespective of what obstacles there may be or we come across, we move forward and progress is made in our endeavour.  If the goal is something we have set our mind and heart on whatever setbacks or obstacles are encountered should then be taken to be the hurdles to overcome. By repeated experience we learn the necessary disciplines with which to train or involve our mind and body to reach our goal. When we recognise and forego or sacrifice certain habits that are not conducive to our overall progress we release more energy by which to accomplish our end.  By sustained right effort we put in motion the train of events that will bring about the right results, but we should not be too attached to the fruits thereof.  Too much attachment is a cause of blindness, disappointment and suffering.  However with the right mental attitudes including positive thinking and actions we should learn from and leave behind past failures by always striving onwards to our desired objective or set goal. The best way to achieve this end is to include in some way the benefit and good of all those concerned whether they be friend or otherwise which will not be easy but will exhibit a spirit of high ethical standards and character and contribute to endearing oneself to others. _______________________________________________________________

Prose: Achieving Our Goal
The most important things in life are often those we have to choose from at critical times.  They very often represent and determine the course our life will take and to what extent we have in controlling or shaping it.  With whatever choice we make, opportunities arise and by making the most of these we realise the relative benefits to be gained or otherwise.  Through our committment and willingness to achieve a goal, irrespective of what obstacles there may be or we come across, we move forward and progress is made in our endeavour.  If the goal is something we have set our mind and heart on whatever setbacks or obstacles are encountered should then be taken to be the hurdles to overcome. My baby moves in jumps and flutters inside me, like the barn swallows that make nests of dirt and twigs outside the restaurant. Yesterday they disappeared and I learned that a maintenance man came and hosed them down.   Tragic, he said. But necessary.   Too much bird ****   When I got pregnant it felt like waking up at the top of a roller coaster. And then an engagement.   Somehow this is how my life is going and somehow it does not feel like cliche. Ask as many what-ifs as you want but there is just a single trajectory. Even though you have to fall asleep one day before waking in the next. Moving through concentric circles and trying to find the center. Biology is happening in a part of me that I am still getting to know.   Kaleidoscoping. She was once the size of a grape but now I read she can blink her eyelids. She is also not like the barn swallows.

Is there something wrong with being black? Different skin color tone war, is that what our heroes fought for? Why is it necessary for white men to form similes about our color? Is this freedom or what? I feel like being black is a sin. What's really funny is racism is found in the black community only because it has turned on itself “I'm light skinned I'm better than” “dark skinned is ugly” is this what we call love? Ubuntu? if so then I want none it. It's amlaot disgusting how we can't show love to each other but expect love from another kind. by: ofentse_tsie & dvniel

The world is a fast changing place Everything changes and keeps on changing till the end is reached upon when something is achieved. Seldom when the end is reached upon there still remains more to be achieved. Along with time comes experience and maturity. Often it happens that when something is achieved, yet a larger part of the picture still remains to be completed. At this juncture starts the beginning of something new, definitely keeping in mind the prior experience. Changes taking place in the outside world are part of everyone’s life. It’s destiny, something written in destiny, part of destiny. It’s fate. Once everything is discussed, decided, reviewed, revised and a conclusion is reached upon, time now to take the necessary line of action. Think about it and think again Everything going on in the mind has got some reasoning and accordingly respond towards change. Think about it and think again. Review the past, revise, rewind and recognize the past. Always keep in mind, never remain forever in the past. It’s obvious to think about present in the present moment of time when something is going on in the mind with regards to the future. It’s serves like an alarm, a wakeup call Certainly there will always be something to look out for with regards to the future. Always it’s important to keep in mind the right moment in time so as to ascertain the future. Hope and anxiety go hand in hand When there is a hope for something positive to happen in life, then at that moment in time the mind becomes anxious. As of now what else needs to be done in the present with regards to the future, definitely there will be something else to look out for with regards to the future. Nothing changes on it’s own, absolutely nothing When a change happens it comes along with time Efforts have always been made in the past when a change takes place in the present. Different is the present, different from past. Different will be the future, different from the past and present. When changes are taking place in the present always keep in mind a desired line of action needs to be ascertained and then taken. The right step when taken at the right moment in time makes all the difference in the present and also along in the future. So even if one step is taken at a time always make sure it is taken with a positive frame of time Irrespective of the changes taking place, an efforts always need to be made to achieve the aim, which has been ascertained by the mind prior. Positivity attracts positivity and then the desired change happens So always accept a change with a positive mindset, then move ahead towards what has been ascertained by the mind prior.

The punitive silences, the bad atmosphere they generate, the mind-games they use to try to **** you in are telltale signs of the toxic person. It could be your in-laws, a parent, coworker, your boss or spouse, a sibling, a roommate, boyfriend or girlfriend, someone you want out of the house. Toxic people want to make you miserable. Especially if you're a decent sort, they hone in on you like a heat-seeking missile. They spew their negativity and blame it on you. They lie constantly, or twist the facts to suit their changing needs of the moment and they never apologize (so don't expect an apology, ever). With a toxic person there is no reciprocity. They sprinkle their toxic dust on you. It makes them feel better. Their ulterior goal is to demean you, to make you feel smaller. They project their worst tendencies onto you, find fault with you for traits you don't possess--- a shadow of the **** that lurks inside them. They try to dictate the emotional atmosphere through their attitude or twisted mood. They drain you of your energy, bring you down, They'll always find a reason why your good news isn't great news. Their agenda is to cut you down to their size, to manipulate and control to **** you over while they play the injured party. Confront the bully. Speak up to the manipulator, the trickster, the backstabber. but beyond a certain point there is no point in arguing with them. Don't try to change the toxic person. You can't. You'd have better luck changing an orangutan into **** sapiens. Only a shrink could change them, and then only if they hit rock-bottom. Don't try to justify yourself. It's a waste of time which would only draw you deeper into their net. Set boundaries to keep their negativity in check. Stop trying to please them. Let that toxic somebody in your life know you're onto them and they can't get away with it anymore. Don't fall into their trap, don't get caught up in their life-dramas or try to get them out of trouble. Don't let them instill guilt in you. But try not to take their toxicity personally. Remember, it's them, not you. You are not to blame though they desperately want you to feel you've done something wrong. If necessary (and if possible), delete the toxic person from your life and move on. Know when enough is enough. Saying good riddance doesn't necessarily mean you hate them, it means your own well-being comes first. Immunize yourself. Preserve your inner strength. Set your own rules. And, when possible, just walk away.

The body was given to us as impression of the gift of love. We were conceived in love and born in order to love. The Creator has given us through the body to the world. We are therefore divine spark. Let us look at other man as at indescribable gift. Adam and Eve in paradise followed in the wake of ****** without shame. Through the body we can touch the soul. This ****** was acceptance of a man with his limitations, tangible form of love, devotion to each other without mystery, boundless openness, freedom from lust of flesh. Bashfulness has its roots in this original innocence. Discretion to the body is inscribed in man. Let us follow with pure look at man. Purity is trying to get access through the body to soul and inside. The physicality brings us childish joy, communion of souls, inner enrichment, sharing a beautiful relationship, exploration of mystery of love. Pure look at man is unconventional symphony of his gift of life. Such scrutinizing is necessary for genuine love. Beloved should first play simultaneously the same notes of feelings before the symphony will flow with sexuality. This presage will give your body speech. Sexuality should not drown out the relationship with beloved, it should build skyscrapers. Sexuality is a gift, such as body and life. Sexuality discovers endless wealth of lover. ****** expression of love is a confession of God's presence. After all, God is love. Only the perception of sexuality as gift saves from vulgarity.

Songs of Oregon: No. 1 “Gonna Make You Crazy, That Place”
Songs of Oregon: No. 1 “Gonna Make You Crazy, That Place” nuts, crazy peeps whomever wherever, regardless of race creed color or gender (did I get ‘em all?) current state of residence (geo-identified) a poem - the very same recited, as a disclaimer, a yellow finger wagging warning: “Don’t go! If you go, you won’t come back” now kids, I’m a veteran of foreign travel, many continents, cold and hot, rivers and seas, some living, some dead, some so big they named it Endless, been to the great cities, Swiss villages, pyramids, climbed Masada, danced on grapes (why can’t I recall where) skied the Alps, trekked the Sinai Desert, clubbed in Rio, and danced till morn, on a certain Greek Isle that rhymes with Mickey’s Nose even been to L.A and San Fran, left poorer but in sync, always came home with my mind decently reshaped me/ a product of gritty unpretty grime, streets of normal humans acting like normal escaped mad persons, this brutal city island instilled a layer of fat and smog neath my skin, a kind of migrating duck-like survival kit, came with a homing beacon included the those of you who know me, perhaps too well, ken we citified islanders love our beaches (fire hydrants) cherish our sun dappled blessings upon on farms (window sill herb gardens) and sunning settlements (rooftops) they say our tap water is secretly bottled, sold in places where the springs purportedly run crystalline though we don’t got no pinot, just sweet concord grape, so sweet, the wine of children and street nodders, needy for instant sugar highs so as we new Yorkers proudly say on our license plates, prove it or stfup! so a first hand investigation for which the taxpayers won’t be charged even a lousy mill, deemed necessary to put to rest this crazy claiming warning “Don’t go! If you go, you won’t come back” guessing must be something in the water and the wine

This is hellopoetry I do not dwell on Hurtful comments Or negativity The insanity of the way Humans marginalize And hate others Without reasons Without merits Is like knives in my heart All I see is beauty everywhere Every human on earth Is a universe in their own right A manifestation of uniqueness That can never again replicated I’m here to write and share my thoughts With those who cares for it Give the world a snapshot Of my soul and it’s principles My dream my pain my emotion my humanity If negativity is where you dwell I implore you stay out of my inbox Highly recommend you read Motivating things Or maybe listens to songs That would cheer you up I learned most storms Don’t come to disrupt Your life rather to clear your path The challenges equip you With the necessary weapons And tools you need to Spiritually advance Therefore I’m stepping Into your hatred challenge With confidence and much More wisdom than I had. Don’t let hatred dwell In your mind and heart For I have nothing but Love for you my brother If you had my life You would understand!

Evil Are Not Welcome
Dear America, Do not call my generation stupid. We were the first group of kids to learn a computer. Think about that society: A group of kids learned this intricate machine. Yes, I'm talking about the O.G. Apples with the green type where you had to save with a floppy disk and if you put a magnet to the screen it went purple forever. Yes those, same kids grew up and created everything you see before you now. Everyday. Do not call my generation ignorant. In a short time span of years, as children, we learned about oral relations with interns and terrorist attacks. From Clinton's impeachment to the World Trade Centers/Pentagon/Flight93 Somerset. As children we learned; emphasis on the children part. Our minds grew knowledgeable of a world at hand long before society gave us credit. We grew up. Do not call my generation lazy. When we were sixteen and just received our license, gas rose to the highest it had ever been in our country's history. We got underpaid and  disrespected jobs: cleaning up bathrooms and serving your foot-longs. The ability to travel on our own, it was our new found freedom. Like the early travelers roaming new found lands: Our wings were spread. Do not call my generation weak. We are the same group of people who entered college or the workforce with the worst economic fall since the Great Depression. You ask, "What did it do to you?" Buried us in more and more debt until it consumed our life. But, we became enlightened. We majestically thrived in the chaotic times by finding out who we are, what we are capable of and that life will take us our journeys before we even see it coming. The light still shines even when you are buried the deepest. It does not matter what you throw at us next. We will rise and conquer. It's the world's hidden secret. I'm proud to live in this time. I hope you are too. Never giving up is our morale. Respectfully, THE PERENNIAL MILLENNIALS. cc: (No HashTag Necessary)

Eid That's what we need Now More than ever To show That we are together Enough of "holier than thou" And clamour over the cow We couldn't have fought Had we put a thought That all our customs and faith Are to gather and celebrate And embrace all So More than ever it's now Necessary to take a vow That together we grow And let them know Who toss us into fire Of instigated ire We all had a choice And we all have a choice This time Let's savor the kheer And a hug a little tighter Let the crescent moon glow On us all a little brighter Eid Mubarak Let's be better.
