Looking NOW from  a mountain of experiences
23 years worth of a bag of knowledge
i can see so much more
Taste so much more
feel so much more
The dust in my eye, the strength of my people
the stench of the streets, the Hustle of the day to day
Ross didn't know **** in Dade county
Come here... To come here
Hear and be touched by the cradle of a nation
Listen to her tears, Let her Nurse and Strengthen and Discipline you
Nurtured, Appreciated and slowly being disintegrated but the VERY people..
She cares for
She's Burning
Yet she Stands
Yet she calls
Arise, O compatriots
Naija
She waits

A Poem: Naija To The World

Naija to the world!
It is for a good reason
You were born Nigerian
Raised as a Nigerian
With a Nigerian dream

If you aren't proud of your identify
People, culture and heritage
Others are, even for her complexities
Uniqueness and the never say die spirit
If you doubt, ask Tyson Fury

A giant in Africa
The most populous black nation
Not in Africa, but the world
A people of great mind and intellect
Witty, strong and determined

Yes, we have image problems
Four percent of us holds a PH.d in the United States
While seventeen percent holds a Masters
We are the most educated ethnic group in the United States
Google is your friend

Some of our products, Afrobeats
Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Chimamanda Adichie
Anthony Joshua, Kanu Nwankwo, Chioma Ajunwa
Philip Emeagwali, Silas Adekunle and Col. Oviemo Ovadje
And of course, Babatunde Raimi

If they ask you of my identity
Tell them I am a proud Naijaboy
Ready to take my world by storm
To rebrand my great Nation, Nigeria
A country, so blessed, yet poor; but proud

(in naija broken english aka pigin)

in these varying decision times
i just dey on a low
nor be say the matter tire me
i suggest say, i just dey distracted.
as Roe dey fight Wade
conje dey para for me.
omo, na next from one babe then unto another
na ee be the motive,
sadly this lifestyle na everything but
extravagantly ****.
as dem dey pursue Trudeau
na so i dey chase down my destiny,
na when i go take mind re-write
this exam wen dey in front of me?
for naija, election matter dey make man japa
my timeline say na Peter Obi go be their papa,
funny enough i get this feeling say
we dun dey reach the moment wen things go better,
like say this summer na "turn around season".
the true be say, either politics or breakfast
las las everybody dey fight somethin.
the true be say if you dey para, you go have to rise above it.
the true be say, na only God get remedy.

e dun pass time when we go dey look persin for face
e dun reach time when we must to carry matter for head.
this one nor be joke o, but na wake up call

They have provoked her
The giant of Africa
When you stir the bees nest
You must be ready to dance
On the Cobra's tail they stepped
Does actions not beget re-actions?

In a sane society
Where human lives are treasured
Shall we continue like this?
Whose score is it to settle?
Do you want us to count scores?
This is not a battle you can win

Who cursed Africa?
Is this the Africa our fore-fathers fought for?
What really is xenophobia
Brother killing Brothers
But they forgot in a hurry
Are these the people we redeemed?

When a pride of lions are led by a Sheep
This is what you get in return
Disregard for human lives
Until their family is victimised
They enjoy in affluence
While we all suffer in abject penury

I have seen Tigers escape from Buffaloes
They stood as one indivisible entity
To defend their territory
Because enough is enough
We are a people of patience
But don't test the power of Naija

Take the battle to your leaders
Not to fellow Africans
Ask them about their electoral promises
Go to school and get a life
Acquire skills and stay empowered
You've got one more shot at peace

Go back to your history books
Read of our exploits during the  world war
Google our feats in Liberia
Have you heard about the spirit of Biafra?
That spirit still lives
The one that makes us stronger as one

Sheathe your swords of xenophobia
"Naija no dey carry last"
I hear the drums of war already
But until the beagle sounds
You have one last chance at peace
Take it, before it's off the table

To our leaders and politicians
Shame on you all
Our blood means nothing to you
Our brothers are sent to Valhala
The house of the Odin God
Our sisters ***** and maimed
Shame on you and your generation

And to you the ignorant fool
You **** your fellow Africans
Forgetting we are all flesh and blood
We share the same ancestors and lineage
This is not the Africa Madiba fought for
Shame on you all!

My fellow Nigerians
I come to you in peace
Let us explore diplomacy
They want to turn us against ourselves
Will we allow them?
"Biko, were Ndidi..."

My hands quiver as I write
My pen drips blood
I fear for my generation yet unborn
I see a revolution brewing
But let us go back to HIM
HE is the God of instant judgmen

They said you'll never rise again from the ashes of your burnt glory
They said you will probably be broken into pieces by the beast that detest your peace
You
You that was once the pride of africa
You that withstood all the stumbling blocks ****** in your path by your adversaries
With your hands you fed millions
Opened wide your doors and took them in when nobody could
Took your guns to battle in the war that wasn't your's
Your blood stained their field
Your body littered their streets
Toiling night and day you did
all in the name of solidarity

I rejoice in your past
Though I frown at your presence
Your future might be a mystery
But will surely be devoid of misery
They said you'll never rise again
I say you are on your way up
They said your future is wrapped in darkness
I say their's light at the end of every tunnel
Your good old day's might have come and gone
Your glory days are on the way
Dwell no more in the confines of yesterday
Rid your self of the catalysts that has enveloped you in the shame of today
Brace up!
Rally round your troop
And set your gaze upon the glory of tomorrow
Naija
Forever my land
Dedicated to Nigeria.

Do you want corruption eradicated?
We need to wake up from this dream called "Niger Company Limited"
Else corruption will fester unabated
With accusations and counter accusations
Today, like yesterday, they tried to bridle the horse
That this also may be swept under the rug
"Na padi padi Government we dey"
Rest in peace to the fight against corruption in "Naija"

This is now a charade, a national comic
With mind shattering evidences rendered
We still found ourselves here, but why?
Of a truth my kinsmen, "There was a country"
These dis-honourable honourable already  shared the country for themselves
Here them shouting "It's okay, it's okay. What is okay, please?
All these drama kings and fainting thieves
"Kpomkpi, una time go reach. Cell na turn by turn"

They fed on our Niger Delta and polluted our lands
Subjected my people to extreme poverty and hardships
Left our children stranded in white man's lands
Watch, they will soon retreat to a "Closed door" in a bid to sell us a dummy
Sometimes I crave for a Ghadafi to sanitise our lands
I think we will just be better of if we are re-colonised
The mud is thrown up and now it will stick
What a master stroke from a student of Robert Greene

Today is a sad day in this animal kingdom we call "A country"
The screen play today is epic and deserves an oscar
When they eat our yams they are healthy
When it is time for accountability they feign sickness
As I play and recall the scenes of today in my head
I fear for this generation and the one to come
Before you retire tonight, please say a prayer for Nigeria
Because from the beginning, it was not so...

Hypothesis, data and analysis
Utterly bitter pill was the result
No mirth, please bear with me

Likee  global  video club I joined
An hour each for one minute slides
And i got four hundred quality jobs

But then there's handy the like link
Here's the be first to comment root
And here was the netting share link

An alien was every like received i
Each comment had sailed oceans
Naija fingers only flew to the share

Speaks volumes talking about ease
Men accustomed to undue shortcuts
People only inclined to sharing loots

Land acquired but no nickels to boost
Brand brandished,  too shallow  inside
Can't own 'droid and spare  thy dimes

They ride on celestial chariots
Belonging to "Class Untouchables"
They move with audacious swagger
So powerful, yet culpable
We all admited their courage and zest
But wait! If Naija is not a joke
How can a Parrot arrest the mighty Eagle?

The Eagle is quick to label
Especially when a match stick is missing
Now that the vault is desecrated
Where are the labels that shows it all
Crime, case connected to, and scene of crime?
This, surely, is a sacrilege

Let's see where this pendulum swings
That we play not judge, jury and executioner
If the Parrot can arrest the Eagle
And the hunter is becoming the hunted
Does it mean Elephants can fly in our Nation?
Or a victory for democracy?

We say no to hunger strike
Lest they play the ulcer card
And then apply for medical attention
Hunger strike, while some are held without trial
"Na here we go judge the matter"
Lesson learnt, none is greater than the law

Many a people fast compulsorily
Not because we are religious or spiritual
But for lack of what to eat
Yet you **** our economy with impunity
You have looted our looted funds
So, it's no more "Uhuru" as "Aluta continua"
And surely, "Victoria ascerta"
