"modernizing" poems
Silent swing on the tree,
half-broken,
creeking as the wind blows
Doesn't really look like much.
They're talking of tearing it down.
If only they saw...
Yes, it is abandoned,
and has no significance
neither to me nor to the world,
but that is its significance
A singular, physical unit abandonment
in its prime manifestive form.
Unhidden, unmasked,
painfully present for everyone to see.
How many more of them exist?
Nowadays, they just tear them down
or put a pretty facade on
It's hidden,
but it's still present,
just covered up.
I guess we're just modernizing the world,
personifying it,
to be more human.

*dedicated to the three, who read this first
(S.B, J.A., & T.M.R.)
and know it all too well*

more than ever presumed,
more than ever thought realizable,
indescribable attainable,
a modernizing magic powder,
synthesizing my intemperate body
~
at last, all ego falls away,
now but corn husk mulch,
detritus, non-toxic nuclear waste,
for growing better visions,
fruits undiscovered
~
write for me,
my recordings, my blog,
not to differentiate,
to substantiate,
to integrate
your gasps imagined,
mine realized,
exhalations upon lips grazing,
the soil of our rainforest
wetted by
living smiling,
eye droplets,
forming a singular stream
~
write for you,
sharing too close,
are you my first or second skin,
for there are no spaces
~
satisfaction discovered that is insatiable,
this pleasured seeing,
this pleasured sharing,
this poetic reason,
to exist

If I become a poet I will craft all the earth pain in words,
If I become a spoken word artist my emotions will speak the tears of the earth,
If I become a musician my tone will be against the evil of mankind,
If I become a sport lover I will create a game to stop racism,
If I become a president I will send military to fight against injustice, and corruption,
If I become an engineer I will build a lovely people not a beautiful nation,
If I become a politician I will speak on saving the earth rather than modernizing the earth,
If I become a pastor I will preach the illness of the earth,
If I become a doctor I will treat the wound of the bleeding earth,
If I become a teacher I will teach the way of protecting the earth from falling,
If I become a father I will not teach my kids about religions but rather tell them that judgment day is ahead,
If I become a scientist I will invent cure for saving the earth rather than inventing deadly viruses to **** the earth,
If only I remember this if I become one of those.
