let it not be confused let no one else's name ring throughout these sentences let this be a hatchet let me put this to rest this is not a test i don't want to think about shipwrecks anymore i am tired of folding apologies into origami birds and placing them at the headstones to your tantrums this is not is not geology class these are promises written on razorblades     *& if you are getting choked up      then maybe you should be* maybe we should be buried with our telescopes face down my mouth is full of sorry all for being honest we are falling out of orbit we are burning bystanders so cast away your callous condolences because no one is clapping in this waist deep water this is not a baptism so do not tell strangers that this was a chance to drown any differently i am not a catalogue of constellations you cannot name this is not mythology so stop believing your horoscope i am not a wishing well i am just a wall for you to paint post nuclear fallout & antonyms for catharsis on we destroy the things that are not ours- the wanton ways we embody wrecking ***** and then cry over the rubble this is not a heap or a mosaic this is leaping off a thousand story building with no one to catch you at the bottom & maybe that's why some quiet moments are so fragile, maybe that's why butterflies have mimicry your words are black powder and poetry is your musketry i guess that makes me your blindfold

hands on fire
The last kiss from you Lasted like a huddle in The snow blitz Rocking my anatomy In the frosty glitz The last words from you That barged in my eardrum You were in a hurry To smell a new leaf Draped in a diamond dew The last gifts from you Was an instrument Which still I use To recognize people Or to refuse! The last time You said I love you I remember I was laughing Hysterically as if I was watching Jared Leto’s jaded mimicry of Joker in YouTube Intriguingly, when the last time I saw you **** It felt like pretty Ivanka’s embarrassment Noticing her dad is a lewd The last time I was chatting With you on Facebook I was wondering why I shouldn't hack your account? To check your inbox Yea, it was filled with the message of ******* F- Bombs, **** shaming and tagging you as harlot All they were asking was your service of escort Either in full discount or in hefty cash drops! The last time I wrote A letter of love to you I discovered my Keyboard Began to blurt out No more, No more, No more… The last time I had a chit-chat With you in the Burger King or Pizza Hut I listened to your hissing clack-clack That someone else has become your puppy cat… The last time I became sick When I was with you I heard you threw a party Where you were whispering To your besties, how I become your double whammy! The last time I was With you in the bed I felt like I was indentured To **** a dummy toy Sans spirit and flesh! Loving you was like Santa Claus gifted me With a Pandora’s Box As soon as I opened it You decided to release Our *** tape of your having ****** In pornhub’s forum of interracial! The last time I heard of you Is that you were giving an interview To The Cosmopolitan’s board of review Facing the barrage of inquisitions You calmly joked, the series Of latest uproar about you In the social media or Internet Is because certain people always Love to rave about Women’s body Shoving in and out of their pigeonhole With their one night stand queen trophy To flavor your form in their fantasmic mouth You also smirked in a raspy voice Defiantly declaring “we (women) Have been locked indoors With no air, no food, no water” My last boyfriend is also no exception He certainly thinks I came this far Through ******* and deception

Zyzzyva....Manga
Both latter and former, contrary and congruent Neither gas nor solid, the river moves fluid. No end and no beginning, just water moving… swimming… A formless former that is a powerful latter Contradiction through symmetry and space within matter Passively energetic as potential becomes kinetic Transparently reflective and silently phonetic Thermally dynamic and fluidly frantic The waters maintain a static chaos through mathematical mechanics. Mechanically architected and architecturally mechanic Water seems the perfect medium for analysis of a dynamic. Dynamic existence and persistent resistance Statically chaotic seems the architect’s insistence. Equilibriomatic, with addition subtractive Empirical measures fail to analyze the passive. What simply is, simply is… Invincible to mimicry or microcosmic reenactment. Experimental methods seek to unify the synonymous Attempting to prove the objective with a subjective hypothesis. Learn from the water, let its metaphor be imminent…. For the divine externality lies not without, but within it.

We were told freedom would make us artists. We were told freedom would set us free. But freedom made us consumers— scrolling, streaming, drowning in plenty. Peak content. Peak noise. Attention—the last currency. And we are broke. Then came the machine. Infinite. Bespoke. Frictionless. The tribe dissolved. The story fractured. Each of us— a society of one. Do not mistake this for culture. Culture bleeds. Culture resists. Culture divides. This is mimicry. This is slop. Outliers cribbed, stripped, and rebranded before the ink dries. This is the singularity. Not awakening. Collapse. Not tribe. Not ritual. The machine as tribe. Self-satisfaction—tribe enough. But listen— creativity still breathes. Not to be seen. Not to trend. But to testify. To mark the ruins. To scratch in the stone: A human was here. Do you remember?

A Human Was Here
There is incessant noise in the city—as if the blinding light blocking out the sky was not enough. They never spread their wings, but oh, do they spread far and wide; but their songs are nothing to shake a tail-feather at. The squabbling and screeching of fighting roosters, the mimicry of baby cockatiels finding their voices, the chattering of gossiping hens, hawks that stalk the night only to swoop in screaming at the first sparrow to cross their paths, the mourning doves who wake alone to cry and moan their songs of melancholy. They remain awake and call out into the night longer than the old owl in the park. The ****** of crows bear witness to the clamor on this night; looking on— as the Eyes of God— in disgust and judgment. These tall, fleshy creatures see fit to complain of the calls of pigeons and gulls when their noise is the farthest-reaching plague that keep all awake at night.

City Birds
For Robert Lowell This is the time of year when almost every night the frail, illegal fire balloons appear. Climbing the mountain height, rising toward a saint still honored in these parts, the paper chambers flush and fill with light that comes and goes, like hearts. Once up against the sky it's hard to tell them from the stars-- planets, that is--the tinted ones: Venus going down, or Mars, or the pale green one. With a wind, they flare and falter, wobble and toss; but if it's still they steer between the kite sticks of the Southern Cross, receding, dwindling, solemnly and steadily forsaking us, or, in the downdraft from a peak, suddenly turning dangerous. Last night another big one fell. It splattered like an egg of fire against the cliff behind the house. The flame ran down. We saw the pair of owls who nest there flying up and up, their whirling black-and-white stained bright pink underneath, until they shrieked up out of sight. The ancient owls' nest must have burned. Hastily, all alone, a glistening armadillo left the scene, rose-flecked, head down, tail down, and then a baby rabbit jumped out, short-eared, to our surprise. So soft!--a handful of intangible ash with fixed, ignited eyes. Too pretty, dreamlike mimicry! O falling fire and piercing cry and panic, and a weak mailed fist clenched ignorant against the sky!

The Armadillo
*"some cry with tears, others with thoughts"* sun-way heat beats against quiet bodies. my truth left two souls melding with a splash of purple— the mimicry of my cry surging with impending ocean. you who I truly know last kissed June 7th in eternal sunshine—go to beach and be free. I’ll wait for you in the meantime.

Yes, Sunshine. Stay angry at me forever. Use this break-up as another excuse for why your life is terrible. Use this as an excuse to have a chip on your shoulder that will weigh you deeper into your habits. I did not implant in you the seed of hatred that was already blooming when we met. You will care for and nourish the deep rooted evils that run through you like blood, a mimicry of a life, fueled only by the blood of your fury. Blame me for all that could be wrong, but you will see that the melancholy willows are far too engraved in you for you to hack them away with your searing alcohol and blame.

The Angry Ex-Love Letter
Harrowed eyes beckon from the shades of jacaranda branches it is almost poetic how false true pain can shine almost like a lip bitten and hacked down to the stumps of flesh trying to pursue a mimicry of joy 'oh hail' 'oh hail' the sunshine bellows from the gallows the glinting rusted metal so alike your eyes 'oh rain' 'oh rain' 'Tis not rain but mellowed waterfalls falling from the heavens with the most regal of graces 'oh mine' 'oh mine' the haunted quail of a hunter beneath jacaranda shades rattles and hisses like the exotic beast within her skin 'oh do' 'oh nay' is the echoed tantalizing that never lets up.

Oh, to the jacaranda
i see myself - unshaven and distraught, at peace with who i am and despaired by a world i saw coming but couldn't prepare for. i see myself - sitting in the old house, civil war ghosts whispering through the cracks in the dry red clay. sherman burned this town once and now i get to watch the sun do it again. i see myself - the hedges are overgrown and i never stopped smoking cigarettes. the shadows on the walls are mapped out, a mimicry of life in an empty heirloom. i see myself - head in my hands thinking about history. The Last Gilded Age. The Second Gilded Age. what good are comparisons if no one's left to draw them? how does the past make room in a world already strangled by its present? i choke back - the same addiction that made geraldine shoot herself. it occurs to me that i am probably the last person alive to remember geraldine ever existed. i think that's what drew me to history - i've always had the past living inside me. there's a whole family tree intertwined with my ribcage, like kudzu over tarred lungs. i fill my - flask with weedkiller. i inherit an open wound. i try to find my place in a history that no one will ever read.

the future of history
Every era that has ever been Has engaged in the auto-dissection Of their yellowing underbellys. Yes, every generation has predicted that the end is nigh, That god is on their side; But the devil has a crowbar And is busting out of the basement. Each decade is a mimicry of the last. Different fashions, same trends And always, with a fool on the hill. A lonely steel harmonica can pierce the airwaves Across space and time, Through the grooves and crackles To enthral an audience, And to beguile that every generation Into believing in their autonomy, Their solitude, With a fate independent of all those centuries past. Through every disembodied spew of Dylan lyrics, Or the corporeal and common alienation Sympathised in every Wilde reference, Comes the same fury at the chaos of a world That is no more than indifferent at the plight of the people it houses. Indeed, Every generation has sought to either Cure the ills of the Earth; Or else set lighter fluid to the lot. This stretches back to the first blood-spattered edition of the Bible, And further, much further. To all of the captains, The heroes, The anti-heroes, The road gritter, The malevolent dictator, The schoolteacher, The emancipated woman And the borderline feminist. To every young child who is reluctant to take the spotlight, Or look you in the eye, Ask questions, or speak out. For every one of those who at some point were labelled ‘maladjusted’. And so the Pharaohs and Caesars are all but gone now, Replaced by the big-wigs, The fat-cats, The purple hearted, The playboys - The men in suits. But they are all the same. The same behind the decadence of A solid gold sarcophagus Or an Armani pair of shades. They all built their empire on shifting sands. And so we will all kick and scream To our own tone and our own time At the indignity of the world. At our bespoke knowledge To deal with all inconvenience But that which privates the preclusion Of any and all major slaughters of justice. As for that young child, With the lack of eye contact - And all that he will become: He will sit. And he will type. He will type until his words fall beyond that Of the spiralling noises inside his mind And blossom into something pure and ugly and beautiful. He will sit and he will write To forget.

I frequently read my old poems and feel my glass heart splinter with impatience and demand why my muse escapes my passions, and my talent must sleep cold and lonely within the shadowy crescent where an oil-fire’s tongues dare not lick. Then, when face with banal, bittersweet mimicry week after week, therein braces a bothered stirring of flavorful jumbles as aimless as houseflies bouncing against the window blinds. And, once again, my poems, with their phoenix lifestyles, breathe brave gulps with scarlet-robin-breasts puffed with gung-ho vigor. Where the poet’s rhythm takes on equestrian expression along the staggered verses, bequeathing shine to syllabic shine and stealing pop from pursed, pronouncing lips. Each doting word may kiss and nuzzle the splinters that recognize a cut so rare that this world’s physical balance would overturn with no presence of such wondrous oddity.

Winter's Hibernation
We met over 40 years ago. Floating buttocky halves spooned into pastel fruit bowls, even drowned in Del Monte syrup, love at first taste. Your flesh a luminous hue, hovering on the border of cream and August skies; your flavor pure as dreamed pleasure grazing my waking tongue, a melting sweetness streaming down my throat; your name, a single syllable promising delight: pear, barely sound, mere parting of lips, and hint of breath, apple-green p, the sweetest diphthong ea, all the air in the world, closed in rounded rr‘d finality. A perfect word, reducing your rumpled, pinnacled self, to one gorgeous, Old English syllable: per. Right now, six of you sit ripening on my windowsill. A sky-blue towel shields bottoms against further bruising from the wood even at birth you instinctively flee, hanging off trees in swelling green-gold tears, yearning for earth, or growing to maturity in bottled, olive-green light, your dying breath suffusing aging liqueurs like the oldest I ever drank, the summer I was 19, a century-old brandy served in snifters the likes of which this working-class boy had never seen. I tilted the giant crystal bowl; the fragrant liquid elongated in mimicry of its remembered self and seeped into my mouth: a pear’s ghost enveloped in flame lay down to rest on my tongue. We both were saved, at least for that night. Pear. Look of women I love but don’t lust after, I want to conjugate you: I pear, you pear, we pear. Like raspberries, Mozart and love, for me, sufficient proof of God’s existence. I trust you. Lead me by the tongue to heaven.

Hunched spines slouched with an air of indifference against backs of rigid chairs Anxious toes tapping on linoleum floors A generation of Attention-Deficit-addled youth, subdued with medication because they think our eyes dart too quickly Minds fluttering more rapid-fire than individual thought can account for What is “unique” when everything stems from mimicry? We think ourselves philosophers (only because we’re naïve enough to make assumptions like that) All that our naked minds can bear is a sliver of the reality we suffocate in We reject conformity by conforming We discard typecast by creating stereotypes We critique and self-doubt and are relentless in our own auto-denigration Yet still, we see ourselves as infinitely superior Because we’re the sum of earth’s 3 billion year journey We’re the product of every galaxy and star-birth We’re a shred of every molecule of humanity We’re the chosen ones, we’re evolution. We’re ragged, fraying edges The living definition of a walking contradiction; hypocrisy in motion Our pens are still doodling in the margins of our notebooks We march to a syncopated beat with heads held high but eyes cast low as we count our steps and avoid stepping on cracks Our heels drag with the showmanship of nonchalance but the eagerness in our fingertips betrays us We’re all just kids caught in the purgatorial limbo of high school We’re all just trying to pretend that we’re more than we are We’re mostly hoping that someday we’ll prove our parents right

you curl your fingers around the nape of the passenger seat and the cold metal stings but you can feel the ghost of the prey brush your body like the streetlights on the backseat last night before you clutched the headrest and you reach in the dark but your hands miss the leather the warm body heat of the car thrumming up beneath you slams your head into the dashboard where the light turns from a bruised yellow to a crippled red you are awake again the steering wheel is cooler than you remember smoother, sleeker, stealthy the wheel will turn the predator around in a circle because it seems to mimic itself where in mimicry it is found oh tyger tyger simmering out you drive. the gear shift does not obey when you push it up rough and messy but it locks in gear while you wrap your fingers around the curve and grind to a halt in the road you cannot make this cliff. the light in the dash blinks. the trunk is opening and the vehicle is still moving you roll down your window to ask the night a question in the glazed white of moonlight that is so much like forgetting _will this road take me back to Del Sol and the Girl Who Lost Her Lover on Route 66?_ she doesn't respond but that is okay because the vehicle is still moving and the leather is slick between your thighs and you are going down tonight you will descend. the night will draw you home. goodnight lover.

public indecency
Life stagnates as people start trickling back to their houses. Some look forward to the expectant faces of their children, while some others dread their churlish wives. As they saunter along doggedly, the day’s events play like a broken record in their heads – a mimicry of sanity. A crow caws somewhere as though lovesick. Streetlights come on and fireflies hover in a daze. Bicycles, cricket bats, and skipping ropes are lugged back home by children who are repeatedly beckoned by overbearing mothers. Almost in a trance, the buzz of the day fades away as a feigned tranquility descends. molten skyline… an earthworm buries itself deeper

Day's End
The transgressions of utter here and nowity Unbeleivable longing for a collapsing norm On the altar of self destruction and causal Reciprocity fluttering on rebirthed dreams You can sing and love these colorful birds Vibritang meticulously with rare palpitations Of greater bodies, which dust is a part of us Delusional creatures, flying on the grandeur Non reachable to written words, stellar ink is Spilled, playing on the shores of ever returning Waves of transformation; Shapes dance within Your gaze, telling the story of water coy stillness Unmovable we move on, unlovable we love hope Clinging to tree roots and blood veins as clothes Warm our trembling fragile figures travelling on And on into the higher realms of transfiguration.

Micro Macro Mimicry
Formless words...broadcast scribbling space, their diagram of poetic motion washes over you...formed on impact. Dark room's glow in broad daylight--your fully developed picture...deepest blue of two worlds in one, betwixt vibration. Hue of the canonized, twanging entire a cloudless sky... enriched tenfold in mimicry of you. If only stained glass and silk would wed, search light's spectrum...distill the most affecting gradation of blue-- then would you see a just replica? Visionary's shield...where earthen wend unveils the abysmal... that eyes may remain upon you--till one is ferried, and vision seen through. Apogee of seventh sea...epicenter of dancing Nine Muses, whose round keeps the Blue Flower earthbound. Blue Flower of the poet's pilgrimage, whose synesthesia electrifies. Blue Flower...a nebula pinned to earth, the name of spring born of you. The golden section of angels fly their flawless form to you... that High Art may pray to High Art. ...Blue Flower, commended spirit rife with grace...whose ceaseless hour at hand holds beauty alone. Mind, quill to tongue riven--if ever...ever is now--Blue Flower... ever is Now! The words of this poet have begun fasting...not to eat of what they cannot sacrifice...their Blue Flower.

A Thought: Maybe there is no grand crescendo to the human symphony Maybe life ends, and begins, on a prolonged refrain A steady, repeating, fading rhythm The only flourish of a lonely universe Trying desperately, in its way, to find a dance partner for the darkness Eternity; our veiled mistress waiting past the mist For the light to outrun an endlessly unfurling landscape of black The space between The mimicry of a photograph, and the true shape of the memory That a frame can never quite squeeze Those lost edges lie in wait Just beyond a waking moment, and the closing scene of our final dream A place not lost, but yet to be found That is all, For now.
