"merica" poems
This is america. It's a one of a kind. You can buy **** at the store. You can bide your time. Voting red or blue. Is a favorite pastime. Doesn't really matter which side you choose. Like it doesn't matter if a poem will rhyme. Hell you could write freestyle poetry about nothing and that's accepted. Cuz this is america and you're free to be an idiot. Inspected. Suspected. Slot machines and credit cards Stop lights and go-go bars Social security and national debt Red white and blue baby We're the best! Patriots of olde and punks of New. World Order abound The olde ways are through! By and by Time after time Woe are to those With woman and child. Times is tuff says the country station but be the 5th caller to win this Ozark vacation. Skoal and Miller High Life 40s. Marlboro Reds, rap music and shorties. Sorry shawties but midgets are better. What's more profound than talkin bout the weather? I forgot the original point that I wanted to share with ya but **** it, you know what I mean? This is america.

Spray paint still stains the driveway From that gift I sent you Boxed up in the red white and blue And 'MERICA, welcome to the USA. Who could have guessed that the paint Would be more permanent than you. You can shove the Budweiser t-shirt and John Deere trucker hat I sent at the top Of your closet and forget about them, But I can't scrub the spot off my driveway.

Spray Paint
I am from the outdoors from Febreeze and smoked salmon I am from the snow covered hills and the ice covered lakes I am from the crowded hockey rink the cheers and jeers and the season ticket seats familiar and worn I'm from hunting and fishing from Stacy and Layne I'm from the military and bad eyesight from " 'Merica!", "Let's get DOWN!" and raps about vicious kitties I'm from Def Leppard, George Strait and the Beach Boys I'm from Hacienda and Chili's caribou sausage and moose jerky From the fishing hook my dad stuck in his finger The collarbone my brother broke on the ice... twice This is where I come from These things are my past and my present But the future is in the distance around the bend beyond the horizon And I am eager for it to come

Where I Come From
i sat on my roof and screamed, i'm gonna revolutionize this god **** world if it kills me and my neighbors all turned and stared, interrupted from mowing their lawns, washing their cars, teaching their sons to play catch, and daughters to go fetch their morning papers they quickly turned away at the realization that it was just that crazy neighbor girl who hasn't done **** with her four year degree, but create a fortress in which she hides day after day they smell that stanky marijuana pluming out of her window and watch her stumble home, drunk, listening to her sing along to the music that the devil has surely put on this earth to corrupt good catholics, like the one she once was and they shake their heads and hold tight to their son's shoulders and even tighter to their daughter's hands, because maybe, just maybe if they hold on tight enough they'll always be dumb enough to withstand because the masses are the winners and this is the spoiler, we're being taken over by cookie cutting stepford wannabe ************* and they're gonna ruin the world

I wore a Bush/Cheney '04 shirt from a thrift store to an upper level history class on election day 2012 Professor and classmates stared scared to talk to me I never explained that in 2004 I was the only Democrat on my hick town bus And now look who's in office? No one even dares wear that red hat in jest For the right co-opted irony as their latest prize 'merica: Either your genuinely hyper patriotic to absurdity or you're an enemy

Merica
Watching the dumbing down of America Idiocracy at its finest. Selling the world One latte at a time. Being guilty of the former. I too, have fallen victim to the carnival stupor. "I'll buy that for a dollar" That...I'll have to borrow.

What does it mean to be patriotic. Love; Life; and Respect. 'Merica is the greatest. Guns and beer and the open country road. The sweet sound of the Nebraska river, and the amazing feeling of loving your country.

[ Life is beautiful ] - La Merica
One fine morning, as the sun looked swell A bunch of kids decided to head to a newfound beach Enamoured by sea and sand They chose to accompany the sun and the moon there They tested the sand, mixed in some water to hold Resumed the moulding and holding The sand together They kept the turtles at bay And flicked away any baby ***** that showed up to claim their homeland They shot the black birds that came to rest by the castle For this beauty was theirs to relish alone Some doves were entertained with food, But no menace tolerated Except for that of these blond brats Yet, the day seemed swell And fair Then came a boy, big and bullyrag Who twitched, punched, threw a tantrum For this was his playground He seeked power, and have it he shall Just like every rowdy, stubborn, spoilt kid And when rebellion surfaced, he stomped Killed the ***** and turtle blood spill The boys left aghast, he messed up America Or did he...alone?

Give me road trips filled with 90's music, take me fishing or I just might lose it, Texas lakes, or the gulf coast, with too much work I'm diagnosed. I need 'Merica's, and **** rights, and I need you to get it together tonight, we know whats going on in the world today, the news is all bad, so lets go play. Drop the boat in the water and hollering WOOOOO! full throttled boat, out on the bay with my crew, all my buddies gathered from far and wide we're going fishing, no matter the tide. The water is flat and the sun is shining magnifico, we're from Arizona, Texas, Florida and New Mexico get together once or twice a year, telling stories and drinking beer. Cutting bait and casting lines, generally having one hell of a time, doesn't matter if its reds or speckled trout, just put us on the coast and let us out.

Fishing Cures the Soul
Land of the free. As it should be, Ran by whites money and so much opportunity. What happened to equal rights? And diversity. Why us? Why should we be born into a country with so much hope to share but not include? Most Americans look to wealth but get lost in the reality of riches and won't appreciate a quick penny to feed there family., So focused on the world,tv,music, and celebritys, Then sitting on their **** saying "those **** Mexicans are taking all of our jobs" Yeah you look at that man mowing your lawn in disgust. But feel that mirror in the sky looking back at you saying we're all humans. That man sees america and money as an oppratunity and is thankful to the job we MERICANS are to lazy to do. People so focused on what America is today. Things easily givin to them.     man oh man.. People are just trying to make it. While others have every bit of opportunity to make it but choose to fake it all away. But you America spend all your money at people looking at you while you're clearly blinded by the picture. Open up your eyes. Love all. We all deserve to live a beautiful civilized life. With more then bowls of rice for our families. As we sit in our living room watching the big screen? Go Trump. Go MERICA.

Heres to the TRUMPS.
Chaos over sleep. You supply the torches, I'll supply the mob. This bed's too big for the one of us. The maggots already ate through the moose, leaving two yellowed-white anchors made of bone to sink into the floor. Bologna; The meat that lies straight to your face. The news is getting olds. Analyzing bags and trashes. Paralyzing eyelashes snap shut, trapping the fly. Thus, the death of an ego was born. Reading is kind of like smoking except you don't burn the paper. The quickest way to burn a bridge is to kiss it. Don't be a stranger now. I'm strange enough for the both of us. The ins and outs of the whens and wheres I do and do not belong. That bar fight with the bathroom door really did a doozy on my eyebrow. You know I will hunt whatever, you pra(e)y. Blessed by lowercase god and misspelled Amerika('Merica). Same message, different bottle. My dreams are too loud before I fall asleep. The first possibility that you jump to write off has the highest probability of containing the things that will set you right off. My teeth may not have any layers of skin left to ride by. From poverty to profanity; proverbs to insanity. A serpent a day keeps the apples away. Growing weary of the definitive abstracts, I curl up somewhat uncomfortably numb in the cracks of the curbs and sidewalks... And with that the last thought of the night twisted into the air and joined with the wisps of smoke pouring from the final cigarette. The odyssey in mind sends our hero sailing from the shores of "I know how to do it all" into the vast and turbulent waves of "I do it all." The bird who clipped its own wings. The Jack of All Trades, the Queen of No Hearts, the King of Nothing, the Ace of Idle. Faceless cards. Just a chess piece on a checker board. Maybe there's less to figure out than there is to understand. Always on the brink of making things right. Don't let it slink away in the middle of the night. I had an uncomfortably close call with life. What some would call a near-life experience. I swear I was inches away from living...

Everyone is stupid. Everyone is genius. Observation is judgement. Assumptions convenient. I fell inn love with my best friend, It’s why I decided to extend, Mind past the thoughts that were programmed, An extended conscious; suspend, Consumed psychoactives; transcend, I seen what’s objective; pre-thoughts were neglected, I can no longer “pretend”, I will no longer contend, I can no longer commend; I can only amend; new perspectives to my ideology using Scientology; Everything that I express is a biography; I can only, (Ascend), She got potential… I hope she keep her head up, He’s preferential... he’s sure to be fed up, May both be light that serves as something gentle, Harmonies instrumental. Sometimes I wish I defined none, I feel like I’m only defining one, Can’t picture a time that I’d run, Can’t picture a time that I was done, I’m wishing today we’ll choose to breathe, Remember, forgive, and it’s a week, Decisions were made in liberty… I’m wishing for days where we’re free.
