nobody loses all the time i had an uncle named Sol who was a born failure and nearly everybody said he should have gone into vaudeville perhaps because my Uncle Sol could sing McCann He Was A Diver on Xmas Eve like Hell Itself which may or may not account for the fact that my Uncle Sol indulged in that possibly most inexcusable of all to use a highfalootin phrase luxuries that is or to wit farming and be it needlessly added my Uncle Sol’s farm failed because the chickens ate the vegetables so my Uncle Sol had a chicken farm till the skunks ate the chickens when my Uncle Sol had a skunk farm but the skunks caught cold and died and so my Uncle Sol imitated the skunks in a subtle manner or by drowning himself in the watertank but somebody who’d given my Uncle Sol a Victor Victrola and records while he lived presented to him upon the auspicious occasion of his decease a scruptious not to mention splendiferous funeral with tall boys in black gloves and flowers and everything and i remember we all cried like the Missouri when my Uncle Sol’s coffin lurched because somebody pressed a button (and down went my Uncle Sol and started a worm farm)

Nobody Loses All The Time
Dearest friend, parent, lover Whoever might be reading this I'm sorry i couldn't stay strong. I'm sorry i couldn't stand it anymore It's not anyones fault, i just wasn't meant to be here. Just like those flowers that never bloom. They just grow and starts hanging a bit, then dies. Dear younger siblings. Don't look up to me, look up to people like daddy or momma, they're happy, i weren't. One life lesson i've learnt is that happiness doesn't come without courage, but with too much courage you'll get tired and let go when you finally get there, and you'll end back where you started. Dear older "sister" You know who you are and you're probably reading this right now, smiling at how i mention you as my sister. You're the best person to ever be in my life, and even though you told me a couple of years ago that you were lesbian i never rethought the meaning of your hugs, cause i know we're sisters. If it wasn't for you i would have done this a lot earlier so thank you. Dear parents. Don't cry, i'm not worth your beautiful tears.. I have nothing more to say than i know you lost me, but don't lose courage. Dear best friend. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for telling me that everything will be alright.. It just hurts me to say that you were wrong.. And i'm sorry cause i know this will bring you pain.. But i know you have some other. Nice friends who'd support you. Dear stranger. I'm sorry if i was goind to know you in my no longer exisisting future.. You're better off without me anyways.. Dear myself. I'm sorry i can't hold on anymore, i know that you had your happy times, and that a lot of people longed for your life, but i couldn't stand it anymore.. Dear person I'm sorry the voices became too much. I'm sorry i ran out of place to make scars.. I'm sorry i couldn't stand this inner pain anymore.. Dear person.. I'm sorry.. Goodbye..

Basketball stands for war or battle. That's why I think about the players' personalities, in my foxhole or squad. Danny and Ben are fast and smart. Dan especially can pass making him master and commander. To defeat them as we did is pst satisfying. Ben's five year old son disdains to answer my question Why are you you? But I'm not here to catalogue the men's personalities. I like them. But each of us has moved on many times, when ___________ suddenly died the games went on with hardly a mention and his name has since been forgotten. But even this, absolute mortality of not just our bodies but our names and souls is not what I came to talk about. Yesterday, between games, I asked Joe how Molly his daughter likes the high school. He mounted an impassioned defense of reading as the indispensable skill when I suggested math, the scientific method and history are essential too. Also between games Bob diffidently asked why my kids are bald. I was moved by the care he took to satisfy his curiosity, concerned the subject might be difficult. He's a political science teacher so I took the opportunity to ask What ails the republic? Of course I answered myself wanting mostly to hear myself talk about Iraq and how empire is self-correcting. For once I was amusing I thought, treating the subject with a light touch heretofore lacking. But none of this is what I came to say. A new guy, long quick and strong, a bulldozer under the boards with a good outside shot if needed got into a dispute with the other Bob who likes to tell people what to do sometimes, about an offensive foul Bob called which we almost never do. The new guy said If you can't take it don't play under the boards which is what I say when I'm ****** and don't give a **** Bob said You've been pushing and shoving me all day. I said He doesn't want to be pushed and shoved which got a wry smile out of Danny as I put the ball in play.

The mother is first— she is for all and down to earth. She, the mother Fathima, descended from uncharted Heaven— that pivotal frontier only the Prophet of all prophets has seen. Then, there was no Adam, nor Eve, nor even Jibreel. Every star across the seven skies wishes to kiss that golden dust. Not to mention the Moon at the center, waning and waxing—openly and secretly— unleashing its longing to rub this non-sublunary piece against its forehead. She knows—only then the rough seas beneath her will calm, bathed in the soft raining moonlight, rubbing off upon a lucky, blossomed forehead. Oh, if only— scarcely could they ever see it! The galaxies, since their inceptions, have longed for it. The bliss of the eyes—tucked away from the scene. Paradise lies beneath the mother’s feet! It finds its core, its resonant lore, in the shadow of the original feminine—Fathima. There, the original matter explored; Paradise breathed beneath her— but she touched down at the heart of the Earth without stepping or touching on Paradise, only to give her stake away to others. No land she would take on her way back, indeed. Not in her name. Do you know where Fathima’s grave is?

Fathima Hailed From Pivotal Heaven
We never took pictures together because you don't like how big your eyes are I would drown in them for you but you would be too busy watching the sunrise to notice. You have glasses because you're blind But they aren't the right prescription because you still don't see your beauty. I remember the night you had me drive two hours away from the city lights just so you could point out all the constellations you memorized when you were younger. I let you go on and on about stars, waiting for you to mention the way you outshine all of them But you kissed me instead and I think that was even better. Even when Summer faded out, you would always smell like sunshine. I wanted to live forever in the daydream of you and me walking along the shoreline. Your laughter was synonymous with sunflowers and how everytime you caught sight of them you couldn't stop yourself from smiling. But that should have been my warning sign because Russia's official flower is the Sunflower and ever since you left I've traded water for ***** and this winter has been unusually rainy but it's still too bright for me to go outside.

Facts about Sunflowers
at 4 in the morning the sun is never up but i usually am i worry about things that are out of my control even more about things that are get up early when i work and earlier when i don’t the older i get the more i learn sometimes you need to cry it out alone at night into your pillow the blankets wrapped all around you sometimes you need to cry and cry and cry until the morning sun falls across the tears dried under your lashes and the lump in your throat has dissolved so you can breathe with ease you need to get up let hot water wash it away let the steam rising from your mug soften any sorrow left around your morning eyes take a deep breath don’t mention it to anyone and just keep going i will just keep going

Perfection The subjection of one’s interjections Based on the world The world of today Can you change what you think What others have to say Were interconnected but not in connection With a convection of perfection that inhibits rejection Or constant correction of certain parts or sections That people fail to mention for their own protection Believing a misconception to gain desired affection Wasting their discretion for a false obsession Thoughts of concession and encouraging suppression This is just one dissection of perfection It is but one path, one direction But this should lead to many other questions What about succession from the term perfection? Is it needed to drive people to higher ascension? Maybe one day society can undergo a social resurrection Where creed, religion, race, freedom are not held in contention No more crimes, no need for detention Everyone is happy, no more thoughts of depression Everyone can be comfortable with their own reflection Hopefully this dissection can leave a lasting impression And drive home the need for a universal intervention To stop and think what it means strive for perfection For you may have it wrong upon further inspection

Dissection of Perfection
You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Not for long, anyway. Cake doesn’t settle well when it’s all you’ve had to eat. It’ll churn like butter inside you, and creep up your throat to project like a cannon, barreling through a wall. Cake won’t sit right with you anymore. At the mere mention of cake, your insides will crawl with disgust and an association of icing will replace your taste buds with ***** You will never be able to enjoy cake—at parties, as a delicacy, with ice cream—because you got greedy and wanted to eat your cake first rather than save it for such an occasion. Now all the different kinds of cake you fantasized about trying—black velvet, coffee cake, buttercream pound cake—will only be a reminder of your pitfall that led you to make yourself sick with desire, for cake. You can’t get the icing off your tongue, the smell of batter baking has festered in your nostrils wired to the pungent taste of red from between your teeth. But it’s all you can think of when you’ve been wronged by your favorite dessert. What sort of chemical reaction in the bowels of your stomach caused all of this sorrow? What rejected the cake? Your body has a way of telling you things—we should listen more. Cake is not sustenance, it has no value as a nutritious food. It doesn’t help, only hurts.

The icing on the cake
My nutritionist told me I need to increase my caloric intake and eat more carbs. I asked my nutritionist, “aren’t carbs bad for you?” She said, “No. Carbs are not bad for you, carbs are an immediate energy source for your body to use, what’s bad for you is not eating enough and passing out at the end of the day like some ***** ***** Now eat some carbs and get some meat on those bones before I order you a ******* pizza myself.” I should mention that my nutritionist is also my best friend. I call her Lady Reptar, because she is one. A lady, not a reptar, even though she’s twenty times more awesome than a dinosaur and fifty times nicer. She’s beautiful like a ************* daisy in the woods and she’s sharp and wittier than her cooking knives and she’s warmer than her father’s woodstove. "So, do poppy seeds count as protein?"

The head fuckery of societies rules. The indoctrination in our schools has led to the homeless on our streets while politicians count their seats. The privileged few, too rich to mention fail to reveal their true intention. The NHS setup to break by psychopaths all on the take. Big business stripped of all its gold, no pension funds left for the old. Big pharma, they don't miss a trick, they're making you & I feel sick. They push the pills that ring the tills even though they know it kills. With the best advice and greatest will our kids are on **** & fentanyl. While we're divided black & white, we'd never stand up to their might So take your neighbour, hold their hand and together we'll reclaim our land. Poetry by Kaydee.

Divided, Not Yet Conquered.
In our world technological, Here's how to talk to gadgets digital, "Now, listen up, keyboard and router, Not to mention dysfunctional mouser... Are you listening to me carefully? (I am talking to them, but silently), I do have replacements for each of thee, I see a future ahead of you three, Tossed into the gaping jaws of a bin, off to the council tip, repository of sin, Did you hear that? Listening in, Stop trying to do my head in!" Now they're behaving dutifully, Technology responding beautifully, "I'm warning each one of thee, No more messing around with me!" Yes, how to talk to technology! (But make sure you do it silently!)

HOW TO TALK TO TECHNOLOGY........
I could love you as dry roots love rain. I could hold you as branches in the wind brandish petals. Forgive me for speaking so soon. Let your heart look on white sea spray and be lonely. Love is a fool star. You and a ring of stars may mention my name and then forget me. Love is a fool star.

Offering and Rebuff
I catch you sitting at the diner counter again at 2am, the fourth day in a row. The waitress comes over and hands you a black coffee. I stare, but you don’t turn around and catch me looking. You’re glaring into the mug, like somehow you’ll drown in the warm murky mix. Like somehow if you keep looking your problems will dissipate into the rising steam. Like somehow it’s the answer you’ve been searching for since you were born. You wanted an answer. Something that would make everything come full circle. It’s been years of you driving down an endless highway, passing every exit because you don’t know how to stay in one place. Even ghost towns won’t harbor something so deeply damaged. A person who can only pull the emergency break when they’re afraid they might crash. Crash into what? Not everything walking by you is a catastrophe.  Accidents only occur when you forget to pay attention. Just like how you forgot that your side door mirrors were broken. Those objects are not closer than they appear. You tried to slow down but they only seemed further away. Everything you’re trying to hold on to is slipping through your hands the way sand falls through the hourglass. Tick tock. Did you forget that people need affection if you want them to stay? They are not dolls you can glass-case until you feel like playing with them again. Not everybody enjoys being a toy. How long has it been since someone sat in the passenger seat? The car rides must be lonely when there’s no one around to fill the silence. You can blast the radio as loud as you want to but that won’t block out the hollow feeling in your chest. The one that sits where your heart is supposed to be. Something that music can’t fill. Your mother once told you that history repeats itself but did she mention that only happens when you refuse to change the scenery? If you always stay on the same road you’re never going to snap out of it. Break the curse. Realize that love is sitting at the base of every exit if you weren’t so scared of swerving into oncoming traffic. The only head-on collision that’s going to happen is when you grow too tired of driving alone that you forget to keep your eyes on the road. When you realize you placed yourself in your own hell and your breaks finally give out. When you fall asleep at the wheel and never wake up because you were terrified of letting somebody else steer.

Tool of desperate confrontation Object of pride for a grateful nation In Baton Rouge on the mighty river Kidd rests proudly 376' length overall,  Fletcher Class destroyer Like every ship, of oil she does smell When I boarded her, she had something to tell I was with a scoutmaster, my son and the boys Concerned with their fun, and the making of noise But late in the night, as quiet set in Kidd started whispering, to my within She spoke of the men who gave up their lives Their children, their girls, the tears of their wives Thirty-eight men, in fiery fuel Hell's agony touched, a death so cruel Fifty-five more, burned badly that day Defending our country, our homage we pay Visiting sailors will stand at attention … and for a young Kamikaze, scarcely a mention The big war was over, Kidd passed her test Now to San Diego, for a permanent rest But as men will prescribe, it didn’t last long Kidd went back into action, near Korea’s Kaesong When in Baton Rouge, you can visit the Kidd If you’re bold, listen carefully, just as I did You'll get half of the story, the rest we don't know The men who have fallen, to Kidd's mighty blow Let's set a new tone and have us some fun The Kidd's crew were pirates but they didn't run *** Those flat-tops were fancy, their flyers elite In the galley was ice-cream, their reward and their treat When a pilot was downed, Kidd quickly steamed Then radioed the skipper, "your man for  ice-cream"

A Poignant Night On The USS KIDD
The mushroom The unfolding instant of creation (fertilisation) not an instant separate from breakfast It all flows down & out, flowing but that instant: not fire & fusion (fission) but a moment of jellied ice, crystal, vegetative mating merging in cool slime splendour a crushing of steel & glass & ice (instant in a bar; glasses clash, clink, collide) far-out splendour heat & fire are outwards signs of a Small dry mating ~~~ event in a room event in space a circle Magic rite To call up the godhead spirits, demons The shaman calls: “When radio dark night…” We are eating each other. ~~~ The Voice of the Serpent dry hiss of age & steam & leaves of gold old books in ruined Temples The pages break like ash I will not disturb I will not go Come, he says softly an old man appears & moves in tired dance amid the scattered dead gently they stir ~~~ I received an Aztec wall of vision & dissolved my room in sweet derision Closed my eyes, prepared to go A gentle wind inform’d me so And bathed my skin in ether glow ~~~ Drugs are a bet w/ your mind ~~~ The cigarette burn’d my fingertips & dropp’d like a log to the rug below My eyes took a trip to dig the chick Crouch’d like a cat at the next window My ears assembled music out of swarming streets but my mind rebelled at the idiot’s laughter The rising frightful idiot laughter Cheering an army of vacuum cleaners ~~~ Mouth fills w/taste of copper. Chinese paper. Foreign money. Old posters. Gyro on a string, a table. A coin spins. The faces. There is an audience to our drama. Magic shade mask. Like the hero of a dream, he works for us, in our behalf. How close is this to a final cut? I fall. Sweet blackness. Strange world that waits & watches. Ancient dread of non-existence. If it’s no problem, why mention it. Everything spoken means that, it’s opposite, & everything else. I’m alive. I’m dying. ~~~ 1st wild thrush of fear -A phone rings There is a knock on the door. It’s time to go. No.

No.

Reunited Walking down a path, where no man should ever go, its dark, cold, damp and I'm moving very slow. Feeling the walls that are covered in slime, too many things happening at the same time. So much hidden deep down in my soul, not sure if I can escape this black hole. Things I've done can never be told, Sometimes life gets put on hold. If only these things, I could mention, it would relieve so much tension. So many things, I just can't say, if I did I'd be put so far away. I've reached the point of no return, next one who gets in my way, I'm gonna burn. Getting more angry by the minute, bought some guns in case I have to shoot. This giant duffle bag is getting quite heavy, I wish I still had my 57 Chevy. Back then life was great, Wife, kids, house, fence with a gate. Then one stormy night, a car went off the road, since that night my brain started to overload. Fell into a deep depression, lost my job, thanks to the recession. Lost my house, lost my car, all my dreams are now to far. Walked into the place, I used to work, hated my boss, he was such a **** Grabbed my guns and started to shoot, all the blood was staring to pollute. Shot as many as I possibly could, don't know why, just thought I should. Losing everything drove me insane, I'm not making excuses for my brain. Not long after there were hundreds of police, there was no offering of a sign of peace. They barged in and I resisted arrest, I was shot several times in the chest. I wanted to die, but always in style, all I could see was my families smile. Now we're back all reunited, I have never been more delighted. No one I shot that day ended up dying, just some blood and a lot of crying.

Ah!  Another hero Washed with bleach Like the Son, Who is only holy When rinsed of his Melanin.   I wear a white coat That browns in sunlight - It appears the moon and I Will be good friends. How deep must I scrub To rid my pores of The southeast Asian sun; To wash my hair of Pacific salt? (Even my mother painted herself With a European brush).   How can I know myself When denied the magma In my blood?   It's of no fault of mine That I've been stripped Down to resemble a Colonial caricature - I've been taught The victories And learned Medals are smelt In white gold, But mostly I've been told That mixtures separate And I am mostly Creme with a dash of coffee.   A shame!   Us beige babies must be Assigned colors As if palettes were for paintings Not people - My family tree has Cane fields and apple orchards, So don't act like You're surprised When I mention White isn't the only Color of my skin.

Mixed Doesn't Mean White
Kashmir Delirium Oh People Of Earth! Thankful are we, For each act of benevolence shown to us. Your gilded sweet words describing, The beauty of Kasmir, land and people. Mention in books and talks of it's riches, Naming it the Sweet Paradise Of Earth. The Lord has been bountiful to Kashmir, Treasure of resources in every sphere. To elevate each aspect, our wish for life, As every acre of this land is worth millions. Full of treasures and recreational value, Forestry with grandeur and silvery rivers. The outside world's view is so limited, Simple folks living in the lap of rich bounty. Mentioned in world forums and organizations, But what of the goal of giving us freedom? What has The UN established in our name? To measure the pain and anguish we bear, At the hands, of our supposed benefactors. The saviours who has us fractured. But in reality they train their enforcers, In the art of creating oceans of tears. The red blood now hidden in camouflage, The spent shells now gathered and hidden. The leaders we are told to elect in electoral shams, Run publicity kiosks and swell friend lists. Joint conferences to address personal interests Dialogues that never address the root issues. Just the formalities and no sympathy, For the ones burnt in cruel sadistic reprisals. The hypocrisy continues deliriously unabated, More augmentation of the security forces. For a first hand view of deep hypocrisy, Walk this land, you know as beautiful. Religious leaders will teach you political artistry, Sermons full of ambiguity and guile. Waywardness and narrow mindedness on display, Political apologists give great lessons. Religion and religious ethnicity are tools, That keep minds and bodies in total check. Gamesmanship by leaders is the rule of thumb, As promises are forgotten once office is obtained. When writing of this succulent beautiful land, Write of the air, pregnant with sadistic practices. This land is being stripped of worldly treasures, And the greatest treasure is mistreated daily. The best of nation is the inhabitants, Ignored are the real gems of this beautiful paradise.

You are my pink skies with candy floss clouds My open fields flooded far and wide with cherry blossoms and green feathered sparrows singing tunes of your favourite songs that sound kinda-something-sorta like your voice, The walls in my castle populated perfectly with portraits of you and you already know portraits are my favourite. Somehow my imagination bound beautifully with my reality such that I could tell no difference. You are my Utopia. But utopia is subject to interpretation. You like candy floss occasionally, pink is not your favourite colour and I do not even know what your favourite flower is Without forgetting to mention, you prefer beaches. You like puns, peaches, foxes and fairies but my world has none of that, I want to accept those but you will not have it any other way. I want our worlds to collide but in a more subtle way, but when that kinda thing happens it is almost always apocalyptic So, what is yours will never be mine and what is mine you do not even want at all. My utopia sounds like it belongs in a book, but we all know how long that lasts. Be sure to check out Utopian Dystopia Pt. 2!

Utopian Dystopia Pt. 1
*Further my mind goes, than I believed it could fathom Fathoms below even the deceased dreams chasm Impassionately growing through and between atoms To learn There is no whole truth in solely words Blindfolded, if your mind isn't where the memory occurs So it's sure We'll never understand more than we're capable to confer And it doesn't mean, you can't relate to the way I toss n' turn In my sleep That it isn't the same color we bleed Or that we aren't perhaps equally 'deep' Just that we hold some nature of privacy in our thoughts, from any other's gaze Did I mention it was books of seperate authors, though we're on the same page? What I wish to relate today Is I have been changing to date I'm breaking, down just like anyone else Draining my health Enslaved by the chase of wealth Smiling while we're high, but we'll retreat to our personal hells The honesty is, I'm scared to delve into myself Because I know where my truth gets ugly, and has no glamour Not the 30 second commercial version of what it's like living with cancer It's habits, actions and manner Looming over my pride Leaving a weakness in my stride Making me feel tired before I've tried*

You Can't Keep Secrets From Your Dignity
Many believe they know the law Because they were arrested; Others know how to teach Because they too were tested. If you have a religious question, They attended church; Mention you've an ache or pain, They diagnose your hurt. Should you bring up politics, Republican or worse, They'll explain Democracy Cause they've been free since birth. Admit your car is pinging, Your faucets aren't behaving, The oven isn't cooking right, Your fridge is warm and shaking, The air conditioner's out of whack, Your furnace has turned blue, They'll tell you what to do: Change the thermo-coupler. It's always their one answer. Say you like this stock or bond, An investment that's appealing, They'll  discourse that all agents Are cunning conniving stealing. On Monday mention the big game, They'll re-play, play by play, As if you slept right through it. If you hear a rousing band, Attend a movie or a play, Know-its are informed critics, Once they were stagehands. They pose as friends and family, Waiting for an opening, To disrupt with diatribe, To display how much they know. I know what I'm on about, So let me advise you, I'm a Know-It-All poet, All I write is true. So, *Never miss the opportunity To keep your mouth shut too*.

Know-It-Alls
Confidence feels scarce sometimes. Most times. But over the years, I can tell that I've grown. So thank you. Thank you to the boy, Who in eighth grade Told me that my smile was beautiful. Before that whenever I smiled, Or even laughed, I'd cover my mouth, Or I'd hide my face. But he asked me why. I told him plainly I didn't like my smile, But he told me it was beautiful. Thank you to the girl Who just last year Told me my nose was unique and elegant, Like sculpted marble. My nose is, and always has been large, But ever since, I've been able to hold myself with poise, At the mention of my nose. Somewhat proud of its size. Thank you to my friend, Who told me last summer, That my haircut was cute when it was down. I had cut my hair impulsively, It was shorter than it'd been in years. I always wore it up, I thought I looked dumb down. But she told me my hair looked great on me. I wore it down that night, My friends complimented the look, I've been able to notice the beauty in it since. I have been built up by compliments. I can see my own beauty easier now. Selflove isn't always summoned purely internally, Sometimes it takes a little help. So thank you, Thank you all so much.
