Every day you play with the light of the universe. Subtle visitor, you arrive in the flower and the water, You are more than this white head that I hold tightly as a bunch of flowers, every day, between my hands. You are like nobody since I love you. Let me spread you out among yellow garlands. Who writes your name in letters of smoke among the stars of the south? Oh let me remember you as you were before you existed. Suddenly the wind howls and bangs at my shut window. The sky is a net crammed with shadowy fish. Here all the winds let go sooner or later, all of them. The rain takes off her clothes. The birds go by, fleeing. The wind. The wind. I alone can contend against the power of men. The storm whirls dark leaves and turns loose all the boats that were moored last night to the sky. You are here. Oh, you do not run away. You will answer me to the last cry. Curl round me as though you were frightened. Even so, a strange shadow once ran through your eyes. Now, now too, little one, you bring me honeysuckle, and even your ******* smell of it. While the sad wind goes slaughtering butterflies I love you, and my happiness bites the plum of your mouth. How you must have suffered getting accustomed to me, my savage, solitary soul, my name that sends them all running. So many times we have seen the morning star burn, kissing our eyes, and over our heads the grey light unwinds in turning fans. My words rained over you, stroking you. A long time I have loved the sunned mother-of-pearl of your body. Until I even believe that you own the universe. I will bring you happy flowers from the mountains, bluebells, dark hazels, and rustic baskets of kisses. I want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.

I would have taken the easy path But that would leave no room for glory I would have picked out a comfortable life But that isn't God’s kind of story I would have followed a prettier road But missed the most beautiful way I would have clung to familiar things But lived out my days in the grey I would have chosen what’s stable But grown cold, apathetic and bored I would have sought out earth’s riches But lost all that in heaven is stored I would have liked more successes But not learned so quickly of grace I would have seen myself praised more But given up knowing God’s face I would have tied all my loose ends But not known it’s He Who brings peace I would have wanted for happier times But traded a joy that can’t cease I would have opted for normal But not tasted rare delicacies I would have preferred a man’s love But been robbed of Divine intimacy He’s chosen for me the high road More jagged, more narrow and steep So now I must travel this difficult way Ever knowing it leads to the deep Now I must choose to cherish His path And trust Him to walk with me there Now I must hasten to take up my cross The fellowship of His sufferings to share For one day this life will be over And all my afflictions will end It is then I will see what all this is for In my Bridegroom, my Savior, my Friend

The Life Chosen for Me
The State of My Tagalog: Stuttering. Guess that's what you can call it. The insecure prose that curls downward On my notebook. It reeks of bit And piece And syllable. Singular Because language After language After language Enter my mind And slip it Just as quickly, Leaving only Fragments. Oh, the frustration As I ask For loose change From My sister cashier. I can't even ask for The right amount In Tagalog nowadays. "Singkwenta." "Bente." That adds up to 75, I think. Passing score on my Report card too. My self-graded Filipino class. Don't even know How I managed To spell "Ibarra," "Tanikala," "himagsikan," "Liwayway..." I'd sing and not spell, If they never caught At the bottom of my throat.

*Jesus, please set my bound heart free Let not this world my prison be Where fear and shame would pull me down To suffocate and cause me to drown 'Stead loose my soul that it may soar Heavy, fettered, chained no more So You can lead me to the hills Away from where 'perfection' kills In You alone my worth is found What joy immense, this truth profound To know I'm precious in Your sight My strength, my hope, my life's delight Surrendered now to Your control 'Tis love which heals my wounded soul Convinced that I can trust Your heart Toward me, to You my cares I impart And selfish may I no more be But lend me eyes that I might see The wounds which other souls still have To give to them Your healing salve That You might take their tender pain And turn it to eternal gain So suffering may not wasted be But used to set our cold hearts free Then we who in triumphant praise More closely on Your face may gaze Beholding all Your beauty vast Held tight to You, content at last!*

~ Whom the Son Sets Free ~
I used to be afraid of my ***** thought it looked loose and unusually mushy. I thought my first time having *** would be lights off in an insecure mess. I'd been told "they're all unique" but I'd look at mine, teary eyed and couldn't even speak. It wasn't until I went lights on with a girl and I still thought she was the most beautiful thing in the world that I realized how she felt the same and we only put our own bodies to shame. So I want to write an ode to my beautiful ****** and give her the love she deserves. (p.s. I named her Carolina)

FRIENDSHIP
I keep my feelings on a leash, locked in a cage like the perpetrators of crime. Sometimes I take them out for walks to test out their rarely used legs on the ground. Only too reel them back in, too scared to let them wander, wander towards those who let theirs loose freely, not caring where they step. For I have learned that this only leads to hurt. Stubbed toes on the curbsides called love. Failed attempts at crossing the crosswalk, into the depths of someones shallow, unforgiving arms. Not paying attention to the Stop sign right next to them. Over and over, I wish I would've noticed that sign sooner.. Before all the heartbreaks and fallen tears. And that is why the footwork of my heart, kept captive in the dark, is sleeping in silence for perhaps eternity

Guess what day it is That's right! It's Sunday! That fun day of the week That's very very unique I can finally let my lustful fantasies loose Basically today I can be a freak. So let's down to the nitty gritty What shall I lick first? Lips or T-ties? Shall I kiss you gently? Teasing you all the while? Or shall we jump to the chase And we make love while you're wetter than the Nile? What position first? Missionary or doggy style? Or maybe something crazy We haven't done this in awhile Or maybe we can take notes From a book called the Kama Sutra Believe me, there's a lot of ways I wanna do ya

Guess What Day It is..
Come with me, I said, and no one knew where, or how my pain throbbed, no carnations or barcaroles for me, only a wound that love had opened. I said it again: Come with me, as if I were dying, and no one saw the moon that bled in my mouth or the blood that rose into the silence. O Love, now we can forget the star that has such thorns! That is why when I heard your voice repeat Come with me, it was as if you had let loose the grief, the love, the fury of a cork-trapped wine the geysers flooding from deep in its vault: in my mouth I felt the taste of fire again, of blood and carnations, of rock and scald.

*** Bucket..
If I could look into your eyes, I would tell you how I feel. If I could look into your eyes, you would see that I'm for real. If I could look into your eyes, you would see I adore you most. If I could look into your eyes, at the same time I'd hold you close. My heart is a lock, but my darling, you are the key. I admire you so much, you just don't know what you do to me! Tell me what you want. Your wish is my command. When the chips are down, then by your side is where I'll stand. I don't care about your present. I don't care about your past. All I want is a chance to be with you is all I ask. I watch you from a distance. I desire your affection, but when you look my way I have to look in another direction. I try to gather my thoughts. I try to make a way; but when I see you, I loose control, not knowing what to say. How could I come across to get my point of view? I wonder if you even know that I have a crush on you. I adore everything you do. I cherish everything that you say. You make me blush, smile, laugh, and sing...you surely make my day! My whole day could be bad. I could be sad and blue, but you change it all just by simply looking at you. So I hope you get this letter; being with you is my only wish. I will now close this letter and I seal it with a kiss. Please accept my letter, for your affection I desire. Signed, sealed, delivered, it is I, your secret admirer.

Your Secret Admire
this is a tale of two star-crossed lovers with a love so powerful they tainted the heavens with bursts of colours they were never meant to be; mischievous little kids finding love in sinful glee in laughter, between dreams and reality and though it was lawless, they found solace because in every prison, they found a rhyme and a reason but even for a love so great, they could not escape the fates’ wrath and envy destiny pulled on their threads cut them loose, thrusted them into misery; for their memories were wiped clean, but feelings remained as strong as they had ever been the boy exiled in a far off land across the pacific sea the girl trapped in her need to break free in a realm both boring and bland ensnared in a labyrinth of woe the lovers yearned for anything— for something, for someone, to obliterate this endless longing the gods answered them in the form of two loved ones polished in every edge, a perfect someone but perfect felt too perfect and not perfect enough to fill up the hole left by a perfectly imperfect until one day the gods whispered for the winds to push the two and the birds to tug at their sleeves over mountain and sea even through the darkest valley so their paths would finally meet and so they did. in the flurry of a moment a pair of brown eyes met and time was frozen once more the two stared intently as if remembering a broken melody a lost childhood song branded as a wrong the birds fluttered and flew taking the cursed red fibre snipped them in two and the lovers felt all the lighter it was the girl who spoke first: **** the stars. i don’t want perfect, i want you.”* eyes dazzling, the boy nodded: *“we’ll invert the universe— the night sky a blank white the stars pitch black the earth moving in reverse”* the fates saw and surrendered as the stars began to wither for this love is love in all its splendor so the lovers walked away with a promise under their breaths, they both swore: *“i lost you once, but nevermore.”* ****

What beauty today In a land such as this, Spinning blue skies Dizzy from twirling leaves, Stars in the water Shining like sunken treasure, Loose trees shifting And dripping warm sun down their backs, And everything, everything alive. What beauty today, In this land

Freedom comes Not through choice! Freedom comes From having a voice. Not to say, Now I can choose! But to say, With choice I loose. It's all the same - You have not chosen. It's all same - You have awoken!

Freedom
death wants more death, and its webs are full: I remember my father's garage, how child-like I would brush the corpses of flies from the windows they thought were escape- their sticky, ugly, vibrant bodies shouting like dumb crazy dogs against the glass only to spin and flit in that second larger than hell or heaven onto the edge of the ledge, and then the spider from his dank hole nervous and exposed the puff of body swelling hanging there not really quite knowing, and then knowing- something sending it down its string, the wet web, toward the weak shield of buzzing, the pulsing; a last desperate moving hair-leg there against the glass there alive in the sun, spun in white; and almost like love: the closing over, the first hushed spider-sucking: filling its sack upon this thing that lived; crouching there upon its back drawing its certain blood as the world goes by outside and my temples scream and I hurl the broom against them: the spider dull with spider-anger still thinking of its prey and waving an amazed broken leg; the fly very still, a ***** speck stranded to straw; I shake the killer loose and he walks lame and peeved towards some dark corner but I intercept his dawdling his crawling like some broken hero, and the straws smash his legs now waving above his head and looking looking for the enemy and somewhat valiant, dying without apparent pain simply crawling backward piece by piece leaving nothing there until at last the red gut sack splashes its secrets, and I run child-like with God's anger a step behind, back to simple sunlight, wondering as the world goes by with curled smile if anyone else saw or sensed my crime

A Red, Red Rose by Robert Burns translation/interpretation/modernization by Michael R. Burch Oh, my love is like a red, red rose that's newly sprung in June and my love is like the melody that's sweetly played in tune. And you're so fair, my lovely lass, and so deep in love am I, that I will love you still, my dear, till all the seas run dry. Till all the seas run dry, my dear, and the rocks melt with the sun! And I will love you still, my dear, while the sands of life shall run.   And fare you well, my only love! And fare you well, awhile! And I will come again, my love, though it were ten thousand miles! Keywords/Tags: Robert Burns, red, rose, translation, modernization, update, interpretation, modern English, melody, tune, seas, dry, rocks, melt, sun, ten thousand miles Original Scots Dialect Poem: A Red, Red Rose by Robert Burns O my Luve is like a red, red rose    That’s newly sprung in June; O my Luve is like the melody    That’s sweetly played in tune. So fair art thou, my bonnie lass,    So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear,    Till a’ the seas gang dry. Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,    And the rocks melt wi’ the sun; I will love thee still, my dear,    While the sands o’ life shall run. And fare thee weel, my only luve!    And fare thee weel awhile! And I will come again, my luve,    Though it were ten thousand mile. Hugh MacDiarmid wrote "The Watergaw" in a Scots dialect. I have translated the poem into modern English to make it easier to read and understand. A watergaw is a fragmentary rainbow. The Watergaw by Hugh MacDiarmid loose translation/interpretation by Michael R. Burch One wet forenight in the sheep-shearing season I saw the uncanniest thing— a watergaw with its wavering light shining beyond the wild downpour of rain ... and I thought of the last wild look that you gave when you knew you were destined for the grave. There was no light in the skylark's nest that night—no—nor any in mine; but now often I've thought of that foolish light and of these more foolish hearts of men ... and I think that maybe at last I ken what your look meant then. Things we lost in the fire, Sometimes the things we loose while in battle are not physical things But rather characters of ourselves I lost my bravery I used to be able to jump into anything with guns blazing Yet today I cannot decide what's my next step Because I lost my most prized possession I lost my bravery Bravery has always been my tool to make the most of my life Never afraid to loose Of everything I lost in the fire I miss my bravery the most

Bravery
gently so gently you pulled the threads loose, set me free but the relief lasted barely a moment - you tied me to you, chained me, and even after you decided you didn't want me anymore you left me with the shackles and the bruises and the empty bed and the sheets that still smell like you.

Pink-Haired Wildflower I know you. I see you. everyday at least once Your pedals are short    and cute    chopped off at the chin Your clothes are loose    and indie    style, you wear so well You walk so confidently       each stride your own. You glitter shining vibrantly       like the stud in your nose. You smile so easily       and laugh with no care in the world. Pink-Haired Wildflower do you know me? do you see me? each time I pass you on the way I look at you and try not to stare your flowered beauty beholds me I wonder what you think of me This bent over gait    dark-circle-eyed    fool. I am    struggling to stay upright. Can you see the weight on my shoulders? The stress in my complexion?       my gnawed on nails and torn skin Tell me, what do you see in my gaze? I wish I possessed your confidence. Your grace in billowed petals. Your fragrance has a trail    that always circles back to me.    everyday I see you.    though I say nothing. Whatever you are I want you in a bouquet on my bedside table as I lie there trying not to cry or die. Let your rank beauty infect me aromatic surround me. Be mine. Lay claim to me. Show me your ways. or at least learn my name as if I knew yours You're a stranger to me Pink-Haired Wildflower last night your dyed your hair Blue

Pink-haired Wildflower
The sea, endless, magnificent blue Reminds me of your deep swirling eyes Looking at me with mischievous love Reflecting the big, open skies The stars of the dark night Remind me of the scars dotted on your skin Painting your body in loose touches Polaroids of everywhere you've been The Sun, in its bright glory Reminds me of your smile Radiating, powerful, from cheek to cheek Sadly, I haven't seen it in a while. And finally, I must say, my love I realize, as I finish this verse Before, I saw the universe in you Now, I see you in the universe

*I dream of a place where I have endless space where the air I breathe is clear where no one I despise is near I dream of a place where the water is ice cold where no secrets can be told where no person is too old I dream of a place where the sky is blue and grey where there is never a loose fray in the knot of my life I dream of a place where I can get away where I will have no worries for the rest of my days. {m.w}*

Dream
Float into the blue Skim the mist Row far out Dive into the murky depths Sink into an unknown world Drown in the beauty of your surroundings Laugh in the face of opposition Dance in the winds of time Kiss tranquility on the cheek Slip off your shoes Feel the sand between your toes Walk among the fish Stroll beneath the surface Float softly alone Sleep you are at home Close your eyes Forget your troubles Embrace this world Slip further with me. String your bow Let loose your heart Watch her fly See her soar Come further with me And surrender to the seduction of the deep.

The Seduction of the Deep
Let me take you , Into my fathomless fantasy. Let me uncover , What it feels like to be the one to love. I see our bodies pressed against each other. Fragrances binded into one. Lips being sober. Adrenaline pumping it's pace over . I sense your heartbeat against mine And I hear everything , From the whispers to the moans and the sound of your breathe . You loose sweat , you cry , you sleep , you care , and you love tooo? I lay confused . I thought you did not exist for real. I thought you were made of metaphors.
