"liquid" poems
I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair. Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets. Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps. I hunger for your sleek laugh, your hands the color of a savage harvest, hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails, I want to eat your skin like a whole almond. I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body, the sovereign nose of your arrogant face, I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes, and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight, hunting for you, for your hot heart, like a puma in the barrens of Quitratue.

Love Sonnet XI
You fade... Like a bruise. Like the ones your mouth left on my neck and shoulders with its lustful pressure. Your teeth, which brought moments of bright pain/pleasure, Are now bared in an artificial, animal smile. Your lips, which parted to taste my skin like it was salvation, Barely part now to speak to me. You whispered my name like a prayer. You screamed it like a curse. You sighed it in contentment, And now you won't even speak it in passing. Your hands, which half-playfully pulled my hair... Now won't pause to brush it from my face. All these parts of you, None more telling than your eyes. Those new windows, which once let me pry... Now have blinds drawn tight behind them, Leaving only a pretty, shiny reflection- A passing, glancing imitation- Of the passion they once held When they beheld Me. No color left to them but the muddy colors of Boredom, And possibly mistrust. You fade... Like a bruise. Like the one you left on my mind with your brilliant conversation And beautiful, rusty prose. Like the many you left on my tongue... Which now can speak nothing but trite and meaningless words, Which now can barely remember the shapes Of all the shimmering, liquid phrases it spoke to you That seemed so important at the time. You fade... Like a bruise. Once lover and friend, Now barely one And never the other again.

You Fade
Sitting in some car in a forgotten parking lot Grey marks the skies Lush green plants peeping in The wildlife of concrete and paint makes the perfect background For Little ***** of liquid heaven falling on my windscreen And some music to complete the scene Each guitar line synchronises with each raindrop Each blast of power thunder hits hard like heavy metal But the soft clouds, the gentle ebb and flow lull me to sleep Whispering, persuading me to dream But I really don't want to miss this shard of time I never want to lose little moments like these A silver raindrop is born by landing on my car Crash landing, rather The bubbling pocket of mystery travels down Swerving and slamming into other fellow pockets in crime It's life cycle completes when it reaches the bottom It races to it's death, unable to stop gravity's plan for it Each drop morphs into another, making a wave The rain weaves an intricate web of waves All strutting their sparkly magic before me I sense a metaphor for humanity creeping in Millions of crescendos growing about Too concerned with their internal politics to worry about others But I stay focused on the beauty all around I wonder if heaven has rainy days If so, this must be one of them

When you are sick Helpless Stuck on bed rest That blue is what keeps you alive That liquid blue The blue that eases all the pain The blue that goes down so soothingly Liquid blue Blue like the ocean you'll never swim in Blue like the sky you'll never touch Blue like the tears that roll If you don't have it

Blue
You have me bewitched...weaved around some magic wicked spell It's like my body is mine no more You have brought this woman out of her shell How did you know where to find me How did you know you could do this to me How did you know control would be relinquished so easily You are *** in every breath, every beat, and every motion You are all of this and more without commitment and void of any emotion You are a fire within my wondrous sea A great burning rush that consumes me The silky flick and swirl of your tongue on my flesh Has brought me this intense current of desire Your touch has magnified all my senses in a warm liquid fire Your lips are soft and searing on the inside of my thighs Your ******** a teasing length on my leg waiting to comply Gasping... my lips are licked and bit in a wordless plea for more As you start exploring and teasing my throbbing aching core My thighs are now split on both sides of your hips My breast in your mouth caught between your teeth and your lips Our bodies melded together..heated skin on skin Do not know where your limbs end and mine begin To be desired by you is such a gift beyond measure The submissive in me aiming to please and always give you pleasure

Bewitched
Can I drown in the sweet sorrow of your passion? Bask in the drips of your essence and savor your liquid ecstasy. Stare in awe at the contours of your body as it bends to my very will. Making you feel as real as this fantasy world we have thrusted ourselves into. Your soft whimpers caresses my ears as our spirits are driven by their own Heaven and Hell. The rapid movements of your ribcage soothes my ravenous soul as our bodies intertwine with each other. The aroma of our mixture captivates my subconscience as we're climbing towards your highest peak. Your petite thighs clenching onto my physique build as the wave of nirvana overpowers your psyche. She slowly drifts away from our fantasy world, leaving me here to dwell on her forsaken sorrow. My body yearns to hear your voice in the endless darkness as it awaits for your return. Can I cross the threshold into your garden of Eden one last time?

Soul Quest
I started drinking coffee, not because I enjoyed the taste, or even the burst of energy it gave me late at night, but simply because you loved it. Always seen with that coffee stained smile. I hated it though. I had hated its bitter taste that no amount of sugar or cream could sweeten. I had hated the way it scorched my mouth and throat as I slowly gulped down the warm liquid. But I drank it. Every morning and night, tricking my mind into thinking I liked it. You soon moved on from my try-to-hard self, and left me all alone, with a coffee stained frown.

Coffee mind
Sun ached to rise, above the jagged horizon. It lit the shadow, of stone work, of your craftsmanship. It stood high, strong and everlasting. A stone giant, held together with assumption. Assumption of him, the prince that you seek. Recently one has followed, to the top where you lie. He said the verse, a promise, an assumption. He would mend the holes, patch the sides. As time rhythmically passes, the tower would stand, strong and eager. Until your assumption, is not yet reality. The one that followed, sometime ago, has left with the moon. As your eye tears, the tower leans, crumbles. The salty liquid, corrodes your assumption, that is often set in stone. I watch from afar, knowing the outcome. I tread among the emotion, overflowing and scattered around. As your kin, your brother, I help to pick up the pieces.

He watched the moon, As it became immune To his galaxy eyes. Silver liquid flowing, The night's come to a closing, As he mixed his 'sky dye.' At least, that's what the stars said, As each one rubbed his head Goodnight. Colored images glowing, His eyelids began lowering, As he, again, was forced to fight-

'Sky Dye'
She glistens in shades of rose wine Warmth melting inhibitions Flesh begging to be devoured A hint of its sweetness beckons as it lingers on still air Molten steel Heat rises A gentle touch Electricity liquefies There, in the light transformed by a glance that holds a promise of passion Aquiescence in liquid candy She is consumed He is ravenous yearning to be sated Yet, feeding the very hunger that drives him straight through her soul

Sugar High
.     It's here again...    Heavy downpour...    I inhaled the rain,     cloying with petrichor.       Standing at my window,      looking out...     Street lamps struggled aglow.    People with brollies walking about.    My eyes reached out to the heavens,     tracing these glassy beads       as they'd free fall...         Falling by the sheets,        the pattering hastens,       periodically punctuated      by the thunder's call.      Mind is drifting and floating,        intently listening to a           million love wishes...              Liquid beauty...melding, sketching...            In light entrapped splashes.          Raindrops descend and come,          into my still life tonight...           Won't you will me numb,              with your chilly bite...              Wide-eyed enamour...             Catching a stray droplet or two.              Riding the tail of a zephyr,               finding a place where                 no trouble could ensue.             An errant gust blew            to meet with me.           The refreshing moist          meets my parted lips...         Inhaling deep in this reverie...        Into a sea of tranquillity,         my mind slowly dips...       Sigh... If the droplets were kisses...       I would savour each and every one.       If the moist wind came and caresses      I would meet it in a tight embrace    till the break of sun.   What a sight...    Almost surreal it seems...       As the light from the surrounding          lamps dances playfully...         Dispersing and exploding into a      barrage of shattered beams.     Before it gets subdued in the drops    caught by the leaves on a nearby tree...    The drops would trickle      and fall before merging,       forming stranded puddles        unable to flow...         Rippling... Splashing... Reflecting...       An image...      Borne out of a fantastic show.     An image of beating hearts,      overlapping one another...        Speaking of consequential love           and feelings so true         Intertwined...      in the promise of forever...   Slowly retrieving itself into an...   image of you...

SWAN (5) Haiku's
Above the caldera at Yellowstone, a brittle soil-rock crust caps a lake of liquid fire with only fumaroles and roiling geysers to slake its upward ****** A single heedless step is enough to breech that mantle's fragile seal - spelling death by fire to any hapless soul who fails to guard his steps. Fragile calderas also roil buried in dark crevices of our psyches - brewed of failures, slights and fears dissolved in fiery pools of self-consuming misery. To dress and salve our wounded souls we plant fertile gardens of reconciliation with beauty, trust and charity and kneel to gods of grace and solace. But a despot’s practiced eye knows how to tap our fragile crusts, releasing acrid lava flows from pools where fear and rage reign hot, and reason has no district. Friends and siblings - my flesh and kin, this world is ours to lose or save so let us seal well our Sacred Calderas from bitter foes that stalk us from within. July, 2006, revised December, 2014, 2015 and 2018 Robert Charles Howard

Sacred Calderas
The church field trip led to the most beautiful presence, The elegance protrude by the sweet scent. I dared not moved so hastily, I dared not the red! Glanced by the peripheral eye lids, The red beckoned the thumping beats within my chest! A visual decor permeates from the illuminating of the perfect circle, And my inner most demon want to ravage it! I wanted to devour every essense of the crescent, Becoming one with red. I slightly move forward so no eyes may pry onto my movement, Like an orchestra moved to one trumpet to a violin scurry along. Finally came side by side of the precious glimmer of the curves, And moved my hand to palm the red's grace on the tilt of it's end. I open wide to cusp my mouth to bite deep into it's brilliance, In my teeth feeling the liquid and crunchy of it's body! Sour taste of salt expand a vigor of darkness cover my mouth, I look at the apple's plate beneath me read " Ida Red!" Water upon my eyes, No longer can chew any further, I simply shallowed the chunk in my throat!   "Your elegance beckon me red, but in the end, you have seduced me to bitterness!" I dared, Idared, ida red!

Seduced by the Unknown Red's Trickery!
I stood there, Tall and proud, Half yard behind Death drop, Vortex form at toes, Put fish world in spin. Crush moss trees with Splashing feet. One long gaze Left to right, Miles of pool and stream Spelling poetry in cursive Through eroded landscape. Zip down, Junk out. Open gates of flesh tap Muscle relax, Fresh release Of human nectar. Light separation Casting rainbow shimmer, A dancing upright Tower of liquid. Gravity outstretch Palm grip And connect Via web of Golden pour, Chaps eye to Mother earth. A converging Of torrents, Saturating transparent terrain With saffron and lemon. The taste in a frog's mouth Of sweet ammonia. Clench, And donation over. A momentary meld Of man and nature. Those few seconds Putting context into me: At one with the scenery, An extension of environment, A limb of creation.

******* Down a Waterfall
Was with  a salacious witch       with amazing quick silver tongue, Confidence personified    she challenged me to chase her, If I so wish, not in words.  Her liquid eyes and gestures, made me mad with pleasure by the time we reached the peacock hill. Peacocks, big  blue eyes painted on feathers,    each, was in love with her, it seemed. Danced vying with each other,  to please her, while she winked at me. As if to say"They'll **** each other   to get my glad eye"wouldn't I feel jealous? Helpless, I did surrender to her spell,  like others in the line, in my front and back. When just one touch of her index finger,   would evoke magic, I'll get Transformed to a young peacock  of  exquisite beauty, with blue green plumes none have ever seen before,to flaunt at others of the ilk, on seeing it they'd back out. Such a witch is one of a kind,my mind     whispers, it's she who assures me this, On the full moon night, due in a week     we'll fly to the far away  hill where She'll be with me helping to build a nest, turning to a peafowl herself, She'll lay a dozen eggs, yes, in  to my ear, she says, this is only later, h When, she with index finger will    gently touche me and proclaim, thus: "This is the peacock I enticed and    with my witchcraft ,bound for life"

The witch and the Peacock
Sometimes the rain falls as if its penning poetry to the rhythm of its own music; a sonic tune of liquid tapestry. Cleft from a sky immersed in the scene of a tragedy. It's tears, the pitter-patter; a solemn dance for all humanity. An ancient jig this fluid frolic never tiring of its endless cycle vesting and revisiting this terra firma like a lover emasculating the earth of its desert state, or adding to its oceans in a bid to be free. But you’re here again, I’ve noticed for even through windows your music plays a clamorous and rather brazen beat. Take my hand, why don’t you? Come. Dance with me. © Qwey.ku
