What did you expect me to say?
Surely you noticed,
I've got a cat anyway.
Love the lush velvet collar
around its throat
but why on earth
have you coloured it's coat?

Yes, I know I love lilac.
Lilac poppies are best.
Oh ****!
I think you need a
hearing test!

Poetry by Kaydee.
Get your ears tested.
I could be falling apart
breathing this american air
the taste of kerosene
is on the tip of my tongue
pressed against my teeth
I can hold it and wait
once a traveler said to me
Jesus could put his tongue
into the back of his throat
and block all air flow
achieving nirvana
on a single breath
I exhale out ennui
another overdose victim standing beside me
and the mutilated legs from Tiananmen square
blown off by the country boys the party called in to ****** the city kids, or so its said
my words are noted in the public record
and I'm called up to the bench
and told to file a motion for release
in 30 days
I sit in a hallway and explain to the guy who found him
on indiana street because he just got the feeling he needed to go back
that nothings guaranteed on this timeline
but he only half listens
and looks at me with suspicion that softens with my power
and steady detachment
I say my power and mean affect, vibe, charm, so on and so on
all the masks
and mines a suit and title
the robe and the stare
are you on the level?

Speaking of broken hearts
and mended fenced in mem'ries
I am painting skies
of tangerine, saffron
& an illuminated lilac hue
against the starkly contrasted crisp cornflower blue, stretching canvas that is
along with all the
other blindingly beautiful colors of a twilight sky

And those dripping cotton candy stratospheric clouds
Ice crystals freezing into supercooled
water droplets
Streaking the sky in cirrus whispers
..I hear them whisper, "hello"...

Blinding beauty
through unadulterated sunlight
I am fleeced like a lamb
watching in awe,
..in wonder
then stomping sounds
of coming thunder,

Finding depth and height
out  in the stratosphere
Blinded by the
After Light
or afterglow
affected by the amount of haze
I'm in a daze
...as I am reaching

High above the fading light
of a brilliant early fall sunset
I take a big breath
of that sumptuous air
and twirl my skirted legs
my painted toes
where I know
I am back
to solid ground

Appreciating the last time
I say sleep well
to you  my dear
summertimes sweet mem'ries
and the fun we had this year.

Wow....idk. Felt inspired.

that autumn day was pain

tears cried for chances lost

the unwanted knowledge gained

the sky turned your favorite color that night

a lilac sky of hurt

tragically,

beautifully

Lilac emits her scent,
Orchid’s winks bring elation;
Love speaks through us all!
red door and lemon tree; breathe for me
my heart of gold is quite a
currency; can’t you see?
he was no dragon
flames sweep my icy mane but his hand felt the whip grow
oh-so-hot; I know that smell
keratin-laden lemons part the sand,
give you life till they’re
hollow, then we’ll go;
he was no dragon but a waking fiend,
growing ill; I’m
seventeen and searing still;
by day, I’m their lilac-eyed abolitionist, their metallic metonym,
their mother, and we all ache for redolent citrus;
red door and lemon tree; set us free
by night, all doors are black and my
tears crater the sand;
one day you'll
carry me home
dany's a mess sometimes but I love her so far.

I do not intend to add anything to the GoT universe. This piece was merely an analysis of Dany's story arc in the form of poetry.

I yearned to soar through the clouds of your color,
But these feelings, I no longer harbor.
Now, when the skies are born anew,
It simply reminds me of you.
I wrote it under a lilac sky, hence the title

That smell
Just before a summer storm
Seeps into my eyes
As I am the only person left out in the rain
Under the sky
And the only thing which could clear my mind
Is the smell of lilac as it dies
Just before a summer storm
Anne Mar 2018
Exotic petals of yellow,
Hot pink and leaves of green
A sunrise of baby blues
And clouds made of cream.

A lei of Hibiscus
Whiskey and Tequila too
A paradise of softheartedness
Where the sun will never set on you.

Lilac skies in the west
Clouds made with a dash of tangerine
A Pink Flamingo guarding her nest
A sight straight out of daydreams.

The spirits sway
In the shadows of the palm trees
So come on down and meet us by the Cay
And let all your fears fall away.

A little bit of summer
a little bit of breeze
in the days of warmer
love has so much-
to bring, come let us sing

A little bit of freesia
a little bit of lilac
never can resist a scent
-of Ms. Narine
Ogles, a morning scene

A little bit of sunshine
a little bit of eventide
caress upon the shores
-of such imagery,
passions of immortality

A little bit of cosmos
a little bit of crocus
in a glebe-like galaxy
stars white as daphne
from a garden of syzygy

A little bit of cerulean
a little bit of vermilion
shimmers the lucid lake
with trout's and doves
Golly! autumn is awake

A little bit of plowing
a little bit of sow
the hard workers of
-those pumpkins
reaps a stewful of zin

A little bit of snow
a little bit of flail
fly away as butterflies
hibernate as snails
Forging! a winters gale

A little bit of details
a little bit of trail
from dew drops of-
a frozen rose, icicles on
a drowsy bear’s nose

A little bit of sleeping
a little bit of wait
till the sun comes up
gray clouds strew away
spring is here to stay

A little bit of sprout
a little bit of grow
And can it be, on thee
an Epiphany shows
the Lords glorious prose

TODAY'S LETTER IS L

Love
A language, a label,
lifting the landfill left in our lonely lives.
Learning to let loose the luggage of our last lovers.
Lustful love, while lively.. lacks the lusciousness of a loyal and laudable lover.

Liquid love
Fills our lungs with laughter
and leaves one lucid and luminous with life. Light Love.

Loose Lips
Lost in this lingual labyrinth of ludicracy,
Love, quite literally a literary landslide,
leaves my lips loose and lousy, looking for a lamplight.

My heart - as limber as lilac.

Leaving Love
Listen, listen!
a Liberated lifeboat
leads us to a love that is
landlocked and limitless.
Playing around with the letter "L".

You—extragalactic sources
bound into a bouquet of
lilac—your colors used, not actually
seen, invisible but still true.

running
deliquescing into nature
i am engulfed in stillness

i encounter a deer as i round a corner
its chestnut eyes intensely sense
something wild within me
transfixed
we meld palpably
whispering our essence

myopic views warp into acute focus
golden flowers stretch and arch
and yawning into the sun
swell with bursts of luster
whilst violets polka dot the path
with lilac luminescence

dead tree trunks
mutating into masterpieces
yearn for new life
drawing in the squirrels

yellow-bellied birds
hover
sensing my motions
whilst woodland winds undulate
pine scented waves of sea salt oceans

my ears enchantingly enhanced
by bristling leaves caressing trees
as scintillating amber butterflies
dance in synch
with the clock tower’s
ancient chiming

a gust of wind
catches a patch of sand
and sends it quivering
fusing high in summer air
then falling soft as feathers

hidden fairies prance about
answering unheard questions
problems dissolve in emerald meadows
without a hint of striving

essays write themselves
upon my mind
poetry flows through me
wings of meadowlarks
trace my face with nuances
interlaced with connotations

rushing home
i write it down
then bowing i take credit
for what was etched upon my soul
by a sunbeam in the forest

There's a darkness inside
It's permanence like the cosmic sky
You can bring the sun right into me
And I will shine in the brightest hues
Igniting my inhibitions in lilac fumes
Dangling in the crimson ceramic
Happy and astute
But like every sunset
The sun will come set on me
Leaving me in the darkness of rye
Only truth to this ?
The darkness never left
It stayed safe and composed
Just like the night sky
Waiting on the sun to go.

She has a pretty low self-esteem,
"Talentless and disappointing",
She said to me.
She hates herself for what she has become,
For she lost herself when she tried to care so much,
It broke her heart.

Now she blames herself for everything,
And hates it when I try to be,
So nice,
So kind,
Because she knows I'll take the blame for her every time.
And it's not like she even did anything wrong,
And to be honest she's hiding the fact that it's all my fault,
Because she doesn't want to lose me,
Yet she's losing herself for me.
Please love yourself, at least, for me.

She loves to paint her mind in black,
Just as she also paints her words in lilac ,
Although as she tries to drown in her lies,
Her heart's getting too heavy that she'll have a cardiac attack.

Though if only you could see,
How much you mean the world to me,
Your existence is more worth it than you said it to be.
So when you say you're always ******* yourself,
I can give you a list of why and how that's *******,
I'll give you a list why you make me feel,
So happy.

The promises you made
Above my grave
Seeped through the soil
The sky flared
Outlining your heart
Orange
Red
Green
Bleeding
Your tears fell to rest
On my skeletal tongue
Satisfying my dusted trachea
Morbid Moons
Dancing throughout
The Lilac sky
You've been here too long
And I believed every promise
That you sowed in my ribcage
So take what's left
Of my pressurized heart
Take your Lilac dipped lies
Tie them off
Sell them to another lover
Before morrow ends
Take my pen
Cast it out to sea
If only so it will bleed
All of the truths
That you  never confessed to me
And I to you
Because isn't that what's best?
Sugar coated lies
With honeyed eyes
And frayed rays of sunshine
Goodbye lovely
I'll see you another morrow
Once Apollo rises
And once Ra sets
After Luna shimmers in the sky
I'll wish you away
From the base of my grave

I wrote her a poem
She won't like it
I tore it--
Its out of whack

I did her portrait with ink
She won't like it
I squeezed it--
Its not her skin color, its black

I plucked her some flower
She won't like it
I dropped it--
Its not rose, its lilac

I made her a pendant
She won't like it
I broke it--
Its not gold, its brass plaque

I'm at her door with no gift
She won't like it
But I love her
To the moon and back
Sometimes self doubt just ruin what could have been a perfect show
Bison Mar 2016
Rough hands caress her soft skin
Lilac and lavender brushed against
Smooth lips so warm and wet
Perfect strangers still not met

And it's a fury, a madness in slow motion
Torturous passion of ****** oceans
And we cherish it in the worst way
We crave it even on our darkest day

To be returned brings fiercest joy
Gentle tears of your little boy
Unrequited it steals our quiet
We feel our chests become silent

But oh the world she runs on
Like nothing has ever gone wrong
But we're stuck in time, stuck frozen
Love is a drug best left never chosen
