A smattering chatter
revealed the prophet
to be a fool - a beggar -
a panderer to fear -
for bread, mercy or
perhaps, if luck
ensued - loose coin,
too much a pittance
for counting.

And upon the city,
the Lord of Wraths,
expunged of fatherly
duties, crushed
upon his children,
the light that was
Beginning.

Acrid wheezings then
and fuming,
ascended the ramps
to heaven
and cast the demon out.

Sky
5:05pm
the sky is confused
the clouds are a blend
of orange and red
yellow and violets
what a moody creation

8:17pm
the sky can no longer hold it, i guess
lightning strikes everywhere
and thunder trembles here and there
the sky is crying

12:38mn*
the sky is calm
but it looks heavy
like the calm after a tantrum
and there are no stars
the sky is sad

Lips are not the only playground for liars
Their eyes are holding back storms
Like cauldrons brewing lightning
With such a high voltage
To shock you so suddenly
You will forget there ever was
A word named truth

the scariest part of a storm isn’t the rain
the wind
or the lightning

it’s the thunder

the wind and the rain are normal. they’re expected and known.

the lightning is scary but is over as soon as it starts

thunder is the reminder. the loudest part. the deep rumble of anger. the outburst of passion. it strikes fear into the innocent. and unease into the not.

thunder can’t physically hurt us. but it doesn’t stop the fear from thinking it can.

because maybe he will

Your eyes hit me
like a bolt of lightning
and the fire we started
burned me to the ground.

The feelings rush
when lightning dashed,
A poem is ought to make
but there's no pen to take.

Remember the thought
Before it drifts away.
The clouds fought,
thunders had something to say.

As the dark clouds fade,
the unwritten words were washed away.
I'll wait until a thuderstorm come,
Until then.
When feelings are rushing, but you don't have a pen, paper or phone with you.
It's raining outside..
Sounds of lightning is spreaded all over sky.
Feeling of fear is spreaded all over my mind.
I wish we will be together whenever it's thunder outside.
I want to hug you tight.
Want to listen your heartbeats, ignore this devil sound of lightning.

obscured by ink
only wide eyes
and an outline

lightning
popping
like hot flashbulbs

I fumble
in darkness
for a key

before
he
flies away

Crack in the ceiling
Expensive repair.

Crack in the glass
Duct tape

Crack of a switch
Stripe the *****

Crack of a gun
Someone's done

Crack the vein
Relieve pain

Crack of lightning
Frightening

Crack the whip
Obey

Crack my skull
My mind mulls

Crack the mirror
Old wives’ tales dither

Crack the door
It's  her …

Crack of her ***

Last time I was here I was waiting
For the perfect storm to come
I saw it from the cafe
And under lightning, I had to run
As the porcelain lay broken
Under the feet of weary eyes
Last time I was here I was waiting
For somebody to make me cry

Last time I was here I was burning
Under strangely colored lights
If only I did some learning
From all the previous wasted nights
And as I tried to forget the voices
That never seem to go away
Last time I was here I was burning
But I tell everyone I'm okay

Last time I was here I was broken
Like I've never been before
I can still smell the smoke and,
I can still hear the door
But as I still remember
All the things from before
Last time I was here I was broken
I'm not broken anymore

The lightning danced around all of my body...
Storm on my skin..
It was a beautiful feeling..
That came from with in..

It was a healing thunder bolt..
Without thunder..
It surged through me..
With such wonder..

I seemed to have done it in my sleep..
I thought it to be a dream..
I had an unknown terrible sickness..
And it was life threatening it seemed..

But through imagination..
And unbondless lucid dreams..
I activated a small evoultion..
Within my bloodstream..
A beautiful dream I had about healing lightning.. Strange. The pains I had in my body are all now gone..

His garden was full that day
    butterflies flying around
but not flying away - here to stay
or at least he hopes !
But he always hopes
    sometimes too much
a hopeful man - he always was

smiling when the sun is up
a happy man - he always was
that is until the night crept in
without the sun his light grew dim
griefs shallow drum beats deep within
but do not fret - he'll dance again
to get over his mood of groans and shrugs
    he just needs some help
catching lightning bugs

Like a bolt of lightning
Shocking to my sight
Your beauty blinded and held me
As I looked into your light

I felt a familiar tingling
Passing though my *****
Electrifying and stimulating
Hair rising on my arm

We fell in love like thunder
Far away at first
Distant and faint
As it came closer
it was frightening
Sounds of stomping
From a giant’s feet

I felt it radiate through my body
Stimulating each cell
It turned to music
A sweet alluring spell

It passed as quickly as it started
A brief encounter
An afternoon’s passing rain

I knew it couldn’t last forever
To hold on would be in vain
Maybe you've had love like an afternoon's thunder storm. A brief encounter from someone you met.  A stranger, a friend... It comes on like the thunder and hits you like a bolt of lightning, and gracefully leaves you while you sleep.

The chilly wind brushed against my cheeks.
As the light left blinding streaks.
I realised we were both looking up at the same sky.
As we both let out a fascinated cry.
The dusty scent tickled my nose.
As the droplet landed on my wilting rose.
The crystal clear patterns blurred the outside.
Leaving me alone in silence with all my worries aside.
The dusty drops drowned the noisy city.
As if it was trying to leave me alone for a brief moment out of pity.

Fingertips, glowing up a page
In his poetry, every time his heart
Sparked the imagination
In his skull-

Like a cosmic whip, lightning crackles across the night sky.
It’s electricity illuminating the dire landscape that passes by outside.
Glancing out the window, eyes squinting at the glorious storm growing near.
Pressing the gas pedal down, heart racing as the vehicle jolts forward.
Like a comet flying through space, the car ripped through the torrential downpour.
Speeding through the dark void, raindrops colide with the window, like projectiles from above.
Though the inside of their vehicle was dry, the driver's eyes were flooded with tears.
Wiping them away with a brush of their hand, car speeding forward.
Resolved to follow the lightning, but not to see it’s glow once more.
It was to chase the thunder, that deep booming foe who always felt so near.
That is who we all chase, the invisible enemy who instills immense fear.

Dry lightning strikes flame
Winds pick up and trees explode
Smoke envelopes all
PNW and Western Canadian forest fires.

The rain drapes the windshield in sheets
and the radio doesn't reach any stations

cold integrity darkens the interior
of Alex's rusty crimson Camaro

it's never this quiet on the highway
sliding between light and lightning

laid bare by a flash across the sky
naked at the sound of thunder

what use is running away
if all you can do is drive.
Back to the Camaro reference, I guess? It seems to be some sort of vessel for nostalgiac feelings and a longing for memories that have never actually happened, which I don't mind.

Darkness dredges deep into the soul,
tempest gouges out my stillness in manic vengeance,
lightning in fiery wrath
rips up the mind’s horizon.
Thunderous sky roars in scaring rage.
Panicked,
stars went hiding
in the pall of gloomy clouds.

My soul too blackens out,
O Shepherd,
where are you this night?

Dirt don't call the lightning
blue or femoral.
In a furious upstroke
my mushroomed spine
explodes in the crown,
splinters of bone
and black lit pumas.
Driven to hell
through a straw
and all the trees
are dead on the road.
My dry lip
adheres to a dry gum
and my teeth are broke
and purple.
The lyrics are garbled
and tongue-spoke.
Guttural curses
cling to my head,
both hands holding
back the temples
of past myths,
lies and discontents.

Marriage of heaven and earth -
strike down, down, down,
that I may shut you up.

Lightning bug Lane
Covered brushed terrain
Blinking lights dance in Grassy knoll
And Dazzle as one gently strolls
Just after twilight
In calm wind
Little specs of light begin
Narrow path filled with soft wings
Human hearts sing
Of bioluminescence flight
That Brings a feeling of utter delight
Grab the hand within reach
A dark perspective for each
Wander to path end
Turn around
And come back again
Flashing light patterns
Seeking mates
By the creek bed
They await

today i want the darkness
fatigued with life’s
fictitious smiles

the forest
beckons me
to melt within it

disappearing
like mist
in the wind

i could dance on lightning
fall off a cloud
and become rain

i’d mold down your face
as i fall on it
and be one with you
