"kingpin" poems
From the warmth of her womb to a wooden coffin the cloth of her **** laid lifeless Gone to soon, gone too soon The pain was more than she could bare after losing her only son to the rough street of Chicago where the kingpin rules and the prosecutes parade the dark corridors in dark suits It's a mother worse nightmare, when the law enforcements, is train to **** and asked question after. In fear of their lives, however, two wrongs, cannot equal to right. Our judicial system defenses team toss them back to the mean street with only criminals intents on their minds another careless proceeding gone wrong. so, here I am back to the crime scene

You towed your broken down beat up, used, rusted old Chevy into my workshop smelling like crap, and looking a whole lot worse she had a busted engine sputtered like a plane (but not in a good way) you leaked black oil all over my floors stains of which I still can’t remove no matter how many gallons of bleach I use the radiator, well let’s just say had seen better days the interior leather seats were torn and the once slick body looked like you had ****** off some mafia kingpin so I spent my days and nights greased up and elbow deep, in your muck trying desperately, but lovingly to do what a mechanic does best and I was leaking time like I owned it, when I could’ve should’ve found a more profitable fixer upper I told myself, no convinced myself otherwise and eventually, against the odds, fixed you then some schmo walks in a bulging from both pockets from wads of cash and grabs you right outta my hands the you I returned to a shiny beauty as best I could with the tools I had well then, maybe I did fix you I just never realised, I was doing it for someone else.

For Emma Ottinger “I put out (my stories) just because” “just because” that’s the best excuse you got girl? cause be-ing just is a **** good one way back in March wrote a declaration^ to all those just beginning with an iota of courage and a good story telling way of seeing and the secret sauce-way to spin my imagination in my eye sockets with their well words, for I am a drinker of the beaujolais firsts of the new grapes of young poets words welling springing from between the oohs and ahs and the damns - I wish I had wrote that... so here’s a hero push - so many kinds of bread to fill our baskets, please girl may I have some more? so here’s to you - and the Great Plains that birthed you, and the breadbasket of four poem/stories you poured out that were so far from plain, how could you know of seas and sea foam and cobalt and mahogany human body parts? and the speech patterns of waves that took me decades to learn? use those “Jacob’s ladders between your fingers,” “whistle me like a stray dog following,” for that’s what “the kingpin of my flighty wits” requires, for this old scribbler is now: “firmly rooted for a girl who's bold enough to crack the whip over her head if ever went to war with myself. A confidant that won't run, won't offer half truth when the whole of it is all that actually matters.” so write with that window light on and wheat fields that can be reenvisioned as the gray-blue sea from which I crawled out of croaking... to read you rightly 6/25/18 10:25PM

I finally stopped playing the role of Kingpin when i jumped out of the bowling alley Saying hi to all the Sallys Because they all think i'm pretty nice Yeah i'm alright I'm just trying to make this life right Keeping my moral rope tight So i don't get too loose On the grip Many people let it go a few times in their life I'm trying to make sure i don't

you always come crawling back chasing me into fields of black tell me, why do you keep falling for me only to feed off my heart like a dog's flea you hold my chin and look into my soul with a sly grin why am I your heart's kingpin? I'd almost fall for you again but I know I'll be left for dead in the pouring rain

The Steamy air Hung heavy In the Office of the Private Eye. Kansas City in August The Air wants to die, Or it only Smells that way. Drifting up off the Riverbank. Thelma my receptionist Waits Filing her nails by the Silent Phone If things Didn't Pick up soon or Late Bills would have me Down to the Bone Chasing Bail jumpers, something I'd Hate Have to settle on, less some business was done Just as I knocked back a Belt of Bourbon, Came a Knock at the Door, in Walked A pair of Legs from Here to there, to look on Not sure if it was the red of her lips, Or the red of her bright Hair, But a Swing in her Hips Got me there. She Laid on the tears as she told me her Fears A Long lost sister being run by the Mob Prostituting she said with a Gasp and a Sob Her Silk Stocking legs crossing Sealed the deal I'd put an ear to the street and find out the feel A Kansas City Kingpin ran her on the street If I staked out a Corner I'd see them Meet Slipped my .32 from the Leather and Spun it once Checking the chamber for a full Loaded Gun I hunched down in the front seat of my old Chevy It was only Minutes till he played the Heavy I shouted out stop, as he Pulled a gun... Popped It Seemed like Slow Motion as his body Dropped She screams for Police, next I'm Cuffed by a Cop Long legs says I stalked her, and am Patently Crazy I took the Fall 'cause she set me up for the Patsy The moral of the Story is.......... I like long walks on the beach, Total enlightenment, Licorice, and whisky I am one with the universe In tossing the old bocce ball Through the long stretch of crab grass Knocked the kingpin off its hinges The horse shoe head landing in the dirt A sign of the times, reducing earth and god And us to Everything Scotch Plains, New Jersey Scotch indeed! Or was it wine That spilled over and into the street Like rain rattling and trailing in residual little Momentary lines through leaf and dirt and Into the gutters gurgling and glistening and Crying out to the long-dead lights, “I am here! I am here now!” The stars, they say, hear even the muffled Screams of water and earth and man and Time, even the mean tabby cat that glides along The carpet in the twilight We played horseshoes and bocce and sometimes chess We watched old family tapes And walked on the beach, and I hated licorice Never had whisky But **** me if it’s no different now Between the times and signs and then Sitting in the crab grass, drinking and dying and seeing and Being and living and lying and I Imagine the fine engraving Left by a horse shoe head

Moment and Memory
My body becomes rather rigid when it’s time to follow instructions “Keep out” nah lets go in “No smoking allowed” hah but I’m the kingpin Give me some orders so I have something to throw away Don’t even think about reverse psychology You’re the town’s local theater while I’m New York City’s Broadway Rebel against rebellion All the ends march in four directions North to south to east to west I’m busy digging up treasure chests I fly while you’re motionless You turn to cement while I flow I am the sufferer’s bandage You are the world’s chateau

Welcome to my House
Standing in the crowd of friends but alone, Feelings were there but spirit was gone, It was a dull night but that face was more than bright, I tried hard to escape but something was destined to happen, Could feel the flux beneath my skin, It was dragging me towards that figure that was the kingpin, She was cool and calm like a moon, Those extra bright eyes were no less than a boon, Her smile was divine, Standing by the harbor I felt her breath, That’s when I realized she was mine, My ecstasy was at the peak when I went to sleep, Today ended the year what they call a leap. Walking down the park and crushing that white snow, I felt it was not the world I was living on, It was where I could feel my heart and I was not alone, Her words were promising, And that was the reason my fear was gone, My barren heart had dreams now, And with few more promises they all were grown, I felt, worst part was that I kept my alarm on, I woke up and she was gone, I realized, best part was that I had my alarm on, It was a dream that I lived, Now I am awake and busy but somewhere this dream is still on, They say it was a dream for me and fling for her, I don’t want to blame her as it was my choice, I don’t want to hate Birlan, Just assume it was my longest dream, Everything I earned is gone, But somewhere this dream is still on.

Longest Dream
The hill is alive Marching soldier Plugged into the hive Follows the scent trail of the world before him Winter is closing in Food stores and Disney Plus Take turns as kingpin It's all about what's current And holds a charge Technological holdouts Form an orderly line to the graveyard The rest do their very best To keep up with progress

i always say my neighborhood's got flavor you say i give it too much credit but what the **** do you know about the puerto ricans across the street who's little girls dance on plump legs to music that vibrates their entire house sure, you've seen the kingpin that lives on our corner, but you don't know that he plays catch with his drug dealer's kids and all those refugees crowding up your corner store, they're looking for an answer just like you are, but the difference is they've got nothing to fall back on because they're thousands of miles from a friendly face and home so when i tell you my neighborhood's got flavor you should really say i don't give it credit enough

I think I'm startin' to get that feelin' again That sinkin' sensation followed by intense anticipation of the end I feel I'm facin' The hell my life is based in Then I meet up with my fear of drownin' Thoughts not safe havin' come crashin' in Will I ever learn or is this far beyond teachin' a lesson Up against my dark passenger, the undisputed, heavyweight champion And the challenger, in the blue corner noticably panickin' Just some guy with a crazy look in his eye but no business challengin' his demon My Hyde side stays undefeated while I've never recorded a win Bringin' my mental discipline into question Knowin' my armor's thin Knowin' I've already taken one to many to the chin It's  constant whisperin' drowns out everythin' Top tier manipulation allowin' the interjection of it's own spin On this tailspin my doomed zeppelin always finds itself in I feel like I should mention, it's not one, it's Legion Not a friend, it laid claim and became kingpin I could only watch like I was fifth in a five deep bullpen No consent given, not even a conversation Rushed past me like I was a doorman at a Motor Inn And I stood there silent, broken, incapable of motion Often thoughts and feelings are left unspoken Paralyzed with fear, just standin' here like a dollar store mannikin Behind a display of 151 and Heineken Made it easy for it to find it's way up under my skin I hardly even knew what was happenin' Now I don't know where it ends and I begin Not sure there's any separation ©2023

You're sorry and it pains you to say. You've found solace in other people's pain. Your shoulders were made to bear weight. You've only gotten weaker due to your training of literally everything other than yourself. They can't see your fatigue, after all you're the life of the party. You don't know this, but you're their gravity. You've saved them, and everyone but you can see.      You are a broken kingpin. You live in what's imaginary. Chess pieces to your command, instead a sacrificed king. You don't dream because that's selfish. You fell in love by circumstance. You don't think you deserve this, you think you're worthless. So do those songs that scream the same sentiment- good thing you're eclectic.      Intermediate stage of life and you believe you understand the end. Peer into their future, pity their misfortune, manifest your worth in their misguided action.      "No, you need to do this."      Show them how. They don't listen. Revert again, lend a hand, upon seeing their inept expressions. You suggest to restart another fictional world you can all escape in. The prophet dictates another prediction: "We'll be here again."

Yes, I am your chosen kingpin My Hollywood name is Mr. La La I don't need to listen to **** Because all ya barber is blah blah I take whatever hood rat that want to come Just don't try and steal my hard earned bling bling You're so friggin dope. Well thank ya my beloved sister girly You remind me of an ex Brady, she too was a ***** little birdie Come into my crib and I shall show ya the best time Grab a smoke and choke on that hot *** it won't cost ya a dime Ride by done while on kids bicycles are just so insane, it seems Leaves images I witnessed, carved into my crazy nightly dreams The wild streets aren't designed for everybody out there, but me That's why they invented plain old grey sidewalks, for free I feel totally naked without it, I'm not a bad **** ***** turtle That's what my momma once said, but even I'm shell shocked, can ya tell? But what you see, is what it really means, or so it should So yes! It's good to be the king of the whole **** hood One day I spilt the beans on some loyal corner crew boys I told the popo, I know that's so lo lo, but they killed using one of my toys If your not encouraged in life as a child, like most of us You'll always be in a cage as an adult, so what's the big fuss? Attacking Mr. La La's crib and forced his family out, without a touch of doubt Nobody likes a smelly snitch, for they will be hunted down and blacked out They chose a new leader of the team and told him, you better be able to cope But he was a brother who never really new how to tie up all the loose rope I came on back and killed the whole **** hood A true gangsta has pride and does what he should I just rode on by in my sleek black low riding convertible Jaguar cat Shot up and even sliced up all those former ****** of mine, and that's that.

I shouldn't, but I love it when bad things happen to me, I take it all, write some of it down, the rest is poetry, Emotionally inept kingpin, you can find me laying drunk on some curb on some midnight lit avenue, pale skin, tongue blue, I've had too much fun, I don't remember how to breathe Come to me for whatever you need, depression, anxiety, heartbreak, whatever the case may be, I have empty suitcases for your baggage, I even have a couple empty coat hangers in my closet, next to the skeletons, You could even plant a couple flowers in my garden, if you wanted I'll set myself on fire just to see your eyes light up, I wanna be your burden, You can love me as much as you do on the comedown, on the come up, or not, that's up to you I'll give you the drugs as long as you give me the love, I never knew our relationship could be so easily summed up I have what you need and I've been waiting so anxiously for you to come along and ruin me, Fit to be, Meant to be, Tied up, hanging from my neck like a rope, Hanging from your necklace, a rose, Tie it tight, suffocate me, use it like a noose, At this point, I'm used, Sadistic, full of it, a mess to be made and cleaned up, A bone to be broke, A memory to be forgotten and a grave to be dug up *Lonely lovely, I've been feeling so blue, I just want a taste of you, I just want a taste of you* I just wanna hold you close, **** you dry, clean your blood, wash your wounds, I'm selfish, I just want too much of you I want so badly the good but nothing good ever lasts and I want forever, so I'll be fine bad to the bone and lonely, ****** that you want me and me only, Worth a lot, but not worth any money, I spend it all on flowers that'll die eventually, Kisses sweet like honey, A snake bite in snake skin, I'll feel it but only slowly, not enough to stop me I'm eager but I'm weak, I wanna smile but I have broken teeth, I see everything, but only in my dreams, I feel it all too much, to the point where sometimes it feels like I can hardly even think, like I can hardly even catch my breath, like it hurts to breathe, Something to bring me to my knees, I deserve this, I wanna know what it's like to feel humiliated, to feel vulnerable in front of someone else, I wanna drink cheap beers in the street and shower in sinks I keep putting myself into situations I can't handle, I can't talk to you without hurting you so I don't talk to you at all because hurting you is just something I can't handle I don't want to be the one to cause damage because I've been damaged enough, I'm so tired, ******* exhausted, of hurting everyone else without even trying I just want to be good for you and I can't be that right now, and I'm sorry

I think Kenyan politics like love is blind And we are just visually impaired beggars Waiting to be given crumbs and the leftovers As the true 'nation owners' Share the bigger pie, with greed and 'honor' I get sick every time i get to watch this sequel With too much unending repetition Impersonation Individualization With despots ruling the nation. We've totally failed as a people Always ready to criticize But never determined to see through Always ready to fight When it's us with huge dues Protecting our own When it's them that get huge! Someone told me to vote to eradicate The rot That through my vote Maybe there will be change in the lot And the true will get afloat But I'll have to disappoint, In a system this rogue To vote i will not! No need to confront Let me express the systems faults. Politicians fighting for supremacy The bigwigs protecting there lame legacy Whilst people in the north are hunger stricken And the system blames the weather for its wickedness Corruption levels are beyond explanations With money for development disappearing in the boardrooms Leaving unemployed Youths struggling to bet on their livelihoods In a system this rogue To vote i will note When the main agenda in Kenyan shows Is politics And who will get to be the kingpin of all When the Chinese are taking over our plots Leaving Kenyans at their mercies with no hope When it's huge loans that are borrowed But no track record or development to show And that's just a piece Of the iceberg that we've crushed in Breaking the system to bits The system is sick But again we are blind And not even struggling to see I wonder what miracles we'll need Just to put the system to speed But still In a system so rogue To vote i will not! I Got the News Blues Heard them say It’s an information explosion A veritable feast from the chosen Implosion, corrosion symposium Round the clock news coverage Underage plunderage. Thunder-age, Hunger-age. Got you on the edge of your seat Waiting for one to press delete Wondering about tomorrow? Here today, gone to sorrow Got you on the edge of your seat It’s the enemy we need to defeat We’re all up in arms Not with guns or mortar About something some reporter Importer, distorter Coming to you from headquarters With script in hand Smiling faces, showcases This is breaking news Heard it all before Give me the blues They go well with the news. Got you on the edge of your seat Fears quite an aphrodisiac Even for a maniac Manias its’ own brand of crazy Upsidaisy, theocracy, hypocrisy Raised on the flavory It’s awesome savory Hear, Hear Breaking news here Take a seat It’s about to begin Kingpin, Lynchpin, No spin, we win Hoorah for our side Upside, war bride Goodness is out of sight Please, don’t get upset It’s just a staged set Take a seat It’s about to begin It’s justified genocide Said the distorter reporter Only a few have died. And We’ll be back After this intermission Said with precision Without a hint of derision Waving from the bleachers Behind all the preachers Teachers, truth seekers With a wink and a nod A short message from our sponsor, God, And now for more news.

I Got the Fake News Blues
A kickboxing kingpin, splitting skulls Boom! There it goes, your mind explodes Grab a Kleenex as you head out the door. Kibitz with the cool cats 'bout kibbles 'n bits And smooth jazz. Bright like a kumquat, You don't know squat; Knowledge is a knocker Busting through doors with manners improper. Cackle with the cattle as they pass over the mantle, A klutz in the gravel, but the lil' rascal can leave you frazzled And clinging to the scaffolds with masterful power. Check the cadastral, he owns God's throne and then some; Kicking kitschy angels out the nest 'fore they grow their halos. Shot Happy to killjoy, bound his body to a killick and the water smacked Now he's swimming with the goldfish and they smile back. -SLuR

Kawn Shelly.
So precious, so dear, so exquisite grin All of us could have is Sanmati jinn. Notable for her academic success in Many spheres of schooling life she win Almighty’s blessings – parents too – akin. Talking debauched of her is for me like sin. Toughly soft, visionary blind, free chagrin – Is she though a fortune maker for father in Job and all prosperity of life as kingpin. All I need is she be best in discipline, In chastisement, regulation and tailspin. Notable for us is Sanmati – a stickpin.

Acrostic on Sanmati My Jewel
A wolf in sheep skin, Depression's kingpin, Lost in addiction, so spiraling it makes my ******* head spin, Cigarettes and gin, a beautiful girl lost in a lover's world, the process over and over again A smooth slick ************ who doesn't give a **** about heartbreak, A cold and lonely evening, a real earth shaker, Heartbreaker, Hymn chanting, shot chasing, sadness cannibal, A glass half full, Or half empty 4am again, Is this pack half full or half empty, Never see, never see, Neverland, the promised land, watch it bleed, ****** river, ****** knuckles, broken teeth, a golden rose sprouting from a blackened soil, see "You lost me" Cut up and sewn together, mix matched with a crying messiah, Flown up then crashed down, Teared up with tears rolling down, Smack the frown off of my face and leave me sunny side up over easy, pepper dripping, salt throwing, ******* train wreck of a human being, It's never been easier, trust me, Keep myself awake for a few days straight then rip my guts out until I convince myself that all of my problems can be fixed just by sleeping Stormy weather with the windows open, Sunny weather with the blinds all pulled shut, Wish I could find a way to just not give a **** You're pessimistic, pacify her, burn her up in holy fire, drown yourself in holy water, Forgive the angels for your daughters, Poetic slaughters, words ripping through all of us, I'll give a lot but I won't give up, I'll stay up until the sun's up but I won't cry anymore than I have to Sometimes it's like that, Sometimes it's easier to fight back, Throwing punches until the lights are out, Blacked out until the stars come out, A kaleidoscope of misfortune, Prescriptions on prescriptions, Haven't peaked yet but I know I'm worth a fortune, Frowny faces I'm drowning tasteless, Not sweet enough for any of your senses but too bitter to take any chances Sometimes it's like that Better gear up for the long fight, Hasn't come yet but I'll hold tight, I'm here to take it all and put it into a different light, see War never changes, And neither will I
