About Me (Bio- Non Poem)
i was looking for you but found a girl named Cacy instead except im not entirely sure how she spelt it maybe Kasey? Casey? Kacie? She told me she wanted to start going by Cass (Kass?) though i told her that i knew a girl named Cass and even though it was a lie she couldnt tell or maybe she could but either way she said that the name "Cass" was a "fuckable" name, a name that was bound to "get some" and i had nodded with that sheepish grin you hate and started to shake with that embarassing nervousness that annoys you and she held my hand and lit a cigarette she told me that she hated smokers but that it "blurs the edges" i told her that i was all edges she asked why and so i told her about you and how i was looking but how i had found her and how i very much preferred to have found her instead she gave me a cigarette and i coughed because you know i have asthma i said thanks and called her Cass and she had smiled because i think she was starting to grow quite fond of the sound of the name i coughed out my name and she told me about how Peter Pan was "hot" and how wendy was the biggest **** ever we laughed and we smoked we talked and we shivered we went inside and we slept and i didnt cheat even though Cass was quite fuckable i slept and dreamt of her rather than you and woke up much happier than i have ever been.

Cass
All my fondest memories are dreams. Days I've painted over and re-written. Like that time we spent all night talking and, I had to sneak in before my parents woke up. Or that time he took me to the city and, We held hands as we walked the golden gate. Or that time we went up on the parkway and, He kept me warm as we looked at the stars. Such pretty scraps of paper for my keep-sake box. Today is foggy with sleep and underuse. I'm an old toy that got lost and then everyone forgot about. I can breathe in fresh air until my lungs ache, But that wont clense me of my need for numbing pollutants; I can soak up sunshine until my skin is black, But that wont rid me of my unquenchable thirst for rain. Yesterday's smile isn't getting me through today; I slept too long last night. Tomorrow, tomorrow is just another day I'll spend asleep, Waiting, always waiting for my ship to come in, So I can go sailing. But that doesn't really add up. And I know ships don't even have sails. Tomorrow, Kasey will pick me up around noon. And he will save my life,                                                  for a day.

Tomorrow
See there's this guy that keeps me up at night. He sits in the corner of my room- Not on the floor, not on the ceiling, but just hovering there- Just above my dresser. And he just waltzes into my dreams. And he says to me "Kasey, you know why I'm here." Sometimes he looks like a woman without a face. Sometimes like a child. Sometimes he's a soldier or my father or my mother. So I wake up. And I think. About my Grandparents being married for sixty years About working for that long at loving another person. I think about who I am and who I want to be. And where I'm going how I'm getting there. All the while he's still hovering in the corner of my room Telling me "Kasey, you know why I'm here." And I won't leave you alone until you understand. That to the left there is a path and to the right another And one above you and one below you. Through you and throughout you. And there's no medium for which to make a choice But your own two hands. And you'll get up and write at three in the morning For people who just don't care. About things they don't care about. And your migraine will not go away. You know why I'm here, Kasey. "You know why I'm here."

You Know Why I'm Here.
First, an introduction As you know my name is Kasey Shores. As you don't know I'm a student at the University of Arizona. I'm fairly studious, love to write and am a serial intern. I love to work. I have been so blessed to have so many wonderfully talented people on this website follow me, like my poems and encourage my work. For that I thank each and every one of you. Now, a note. One of my many jobs is as a campus representative for a great company called Serengetee. They buy fabrics from around the world and sell them as pocket shirts. "Frocket shirts" as my good friend calls them. This company is charitable, supporting over 50 causes in 50 countries. A Request As a representative I'm asked to complete a rep project. I wanted to do something I could excel at. I wanted to incorporate poetry. So I've created the collection Words of the World, which is under my collections and is entirely public. Each poem I post is inspired by a fabric and a cause. I would very much appreciate if you would all consider following the collection and contributing based on your own Serengetee inspiration or any act of kindness. It's a collection about the world, for the world, helping the world. Thank you all!

An Introduction, A Note, A Request
Kasey Kasey Kasey, Kasey-Kasey-Kasey-Ann! Fly away with me, for us I have a plan - We'll fly away to Neverland, and play among the stars We will go to Jupiter, and stop and visit Mars - Then swimming we will go, and in the sand we'll roll around We won't wear a bathing suit, then with oil I'll rub you down - And all night we'll cuddle, in a bed so soft and warm I'll caress you oh so nice, and you'll slay me with your charm

Kasey Ann & C.A.
Closer to you, than at a distance Familiar attraction, with no resistance Close yet away, and come what may Believe this LOVE, with ever-persistence Intamacy unknown, with pure anticipation Hyper-lustful cravings, wild temptation A realm alone, and all our own Transcending the most exalted imagination! Playful affection, young love to renew Such rejuvenating feeling, pure and true Happy with our choice, and to hear it in your voice Makes me feel like a love-bird, "coo coo coo..." Oh there may be tough times ahead Especially given the lives we've both led dreams of you shall get me through Thoughts of life, home, and a loving bed... Kasey I promise: Within each other shall we so heal Ourselves once more, shall we both feel Free and clear, no more fear my dear If only for once, we do this fore eral.

Closer at a Distance
My girl has a way about her Especially when she's genuinely happy A perky little grin and playful purr Her words are all cheerful melody... I love her like this It's so utterly satisfying to hear I hope it's something I never miss Whether she's afar or quite near... This is how she should be forever Laughing and smiling with glee This I make my everlasting endeavor Her joy is the very height of beauty! My girls has a way about her … And I intend to keep it that way!
