Between Green
for Harlon Rivers the river potion, the river portent, the river potent it is all of these and not one he is bank sided, observing the false idols, the image mirrored in the glass of the river transfigured molecularly he becomes something ferried frothily, forcefully as if a twig or a small thing of human manufacture, an object tossed up airborne-repeatedly his poetry: the clash of particles at the many junctions of objects and water, eddies and the currents, ceaselessly circumnavigating,   searching revisionary pathways directed, but randomized, prisoner of the flows, servant to the wind's directives and the earths magnetic indivisible undulating waves thinking, this life, its unsteady gait,  the irreverent wavering of drunkenness resultant from potent potions, portents of inopportune position in him, my own histories,  my poetic recordings also become water borne, watermarked, replayed back for me, for erasure, censure, closure and rededication this River is a tapestry, a torn map, drawn on broken shards of slivered water, living with all the others but we, are the untitled, we, are the un-entitled, and he is the Rivers <•>

For Harlon: The River Potion
Hello, I'm invisible, From my thoughts, Indivisible, Essence I sought, Hello, I'm invisible, a wraith, Being invisible can be great, Round corners I can see, I am quite imaginary, I travel all over for free, Being invisible rates, Hello, I'm invisible. Great!

BEING INVISIBLE.......
I pledge allegiance to the flag of a country that’s done nothing for me. I pledge allegiance to a ticking corporate time bomb, counting down the number of people left outside of its marketing cage. Corporate fat cats full of rage, a million dollars isn’t enough, Give me ten. Corporate law superseding human rights, tying us tight to the system justifying injustice done to us. I pledge allegiance to “by the people for the people”, turned “by the people, for the money”, the fuel of the freedom we value so highly as to put a price tag on it as if that is an acceptable measure of its worth, How can we get much worse than now when there are thousands of people wondering how they are going to survive this month? I pledge allegiance to impossibility highlighted on HD screens, the clarity not giving us a clear view of reality, our beauty is not, Should not, Will not be measured by the numbers on a scale. The girls in the magazines don’t even look like the girls in the magazines, so why don’t we focus on something that can be reached? I pledge allegiance to the flag of a country where being smart enough to expose rapists can have greater consequences than ****** somebody, Where violating firewalls and proxies is worse than violating human bodies. I pledge allegiance to “She was asking for it”, “Boys will be boys”, and “What was she wearing?” When a robbery is committed in a home, the police do not ask if your door was unlocked, or if your laptop was in plain view, So when a robbery is committed on a body, why is that exactly what they do? I pledge allegiance to a country where love is still illegal in 33 states. We are the country of change, so long as nothing changes, I mean Women still get paid lower wages. I pledge allegiance to a place where who you are does not mean you get to be yourself, Where masculinity is blue and being feminine is pink. If you have ever been stared at for wanting to be a rainbow, I will stand by you and stare right back. And I will no longer pledge allegiance to a country consumed by consumerism, Nationalism, Commercialism, Racism, Sexism, Fear. Instead, I will pledge allegiance to the memory of one nation under God, Indivisible, With liberty and justice for all.

Burning bridges frolic along the sidewalk taking a brand new perception anti government losing faith in my one nation, all faith in god, faith in my ability to be indivisible, losing faith in lady liberty, no faith in the american justice, faith in unification.

~ the true art of loving is to never stop touching! touching, holding, caressing, stroking... such is the nature of love's connection; a twine intertwined through touch, the stringing, the ********* the fingers that clasp, that reach out to grasp; oh marvelous, tenderest touch! why is it that any of us stop? would we, could we, if we really knew? that touch was a gift one of the few that gifts immortality, gives liberality; indeed, would we ever, or never stop touching? and God could only know why we would ever ask to be left alone, cold as a stone, the untouchable we; how could we deny that one, that only who for our heart longs truest mate of our soul. babies need it, toddlers do it, children want it, teens use it, young ones wish it, lovers gift it, mid-lifers pine and seniors return to it... there is never a stage or a cycle of life where we should or ever could cease to be needing it ever stop touching or being touched. for touch is love's connection, the umbilical chord, a neuron cable, the neutron bundle, oh blanket of hope... it feeds us, a life line, an air line that needs us; a love line to the divine that renews us, and will inevitably, ultimately, eventually, totally hold us, as we walk the path through, eternity past, present and what is to come! for touch... indivisible from love, and love never dies; love never ceases! yes, the true art of touching is to never stop loving! ~ *post script. we watched so many who loved stop touching through the years and then wonder what happened as embers once hot grew cold. touch is a gift, to be shared and not hoarded!*

Freedom isn't free, my friend. It is those who choose to serve their country, on which we depend. Freedom comes with a very lofty price. It should make us all stop and think twice. "One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all" It is those who fight for liberty that we should recall. Mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers. We should applaud those selfless others. These women and men are determined and brave. These heroines and heroes, their services they gave. The children of today say, "Let freedom ring!" This is the song our proud nation sings. My home is this free nation on which I stand. This is my country, this is my land.

I can see it now, I was in 4th grade and we were all saying the pledge of allegiance with our hands over our hearts. "One nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all." I always thought it was "invisible". One nation, under God, invisible. It suddenly turned our nation into a superhero with the sickest super power ever, invisibility. Our nation was leaping over buildings and fighting crime in the moonlight with a bad *** sidekick named God. One nation, under God, invisible. That's what i have become to this sidekick, invisible. I subsequently have fallen victim to the rare oddity that is my brain and finally realized that God doesn't even know who i am. Suddenly, this nation was not jumping over tall buildings, it was blocking the sunlight and causing an eclipse. One nation, under God, invisible. I am invisible in this darkness of the night. But i searched for the moon relentlessly, knowing that it was my only chance of finding my way out of here. And once i found it, i held it in my arms, cradled it like a sleeping baby and careful not to wake it up because once it awakens it must escape to the sky and will no longer be mine. But to no avail, the moon was awake and whispered to me, "Dear child, did you really think you could escape God?"

*the cost of 'a post-strophe fee' is a pouted heart placed in parentheses* (yet still on that ledge:) 1. like the tail of a kite caught on a wire or high branch of a tree waiting to be eased off and breezed out free it hangs upside down seeing 'everything' tipsy-style as its force is slow-drained 2. this apostrophe is the mere tail-end of a dragon (in a pit of exhaustion) dragged in deepest-red ink leaving an inimitable trail with emphasis on sincerest care brackets are just (two curves) which jealously guard all what lies inside while giving so much love in indivisible power-curls 3. better to let nature runs its course of rivers flowing and wild winds while beetles walk on stones yet while trying to make a mark with missives in the sand the waves make sure to wash them all away best then to let know in this now that some things never die (it's enough for veracity to flap its weary wings) 4. flee then this finest core-duel likely there's always..maybe the next now (all the previous were not quite squandered in cold flight but unexpected loss) and no use hiding from one's (own) shadow for kites will take off and fly high in the sun where shadows have no place to hide *futile wondering if it really (has to) spell catastrophe it does not* (it really does not :) S T. ~ *the peculiar sound of morning during the long, boarded-up winter, resonating through a cistern set apart by thin waves of decaying reservoir a hint of canticle in the unfounded wind, impossible to ignore, a series of collapsing oppositions like interior and exterior, self and other, the momentum conveys the sublimity of being, immersed in an unfathomable vastness, of being part of an indivisible whole a repeated glitch in the system, our forever changing constellation of feelings and backward configurations, slipping into a stream, where the water precedes us, and it will outlast us we don't so much carry life as allow ourselves to be carried along by it, swept up in its current for a little while* ~

I pledge allegiance to a country that's done nothing for me. I pledge allegiance to this ticking corporate time bomb, counting down the number of people left outside of its marketing cage. *Tick tock Tick tock Tick tock* Clock counting down the number of days left until a new order passes, tying us tighter to the system we all say we want to avoid, the system hiding in the shadows of everything we do. I pledge allegiance to "by the people for the people" turned "by the people for the money" because that's the fuel of the freedom we value so highly as to put a price on it, as if that's a measure of its worth. I pledge allegiance to impossible standards laid out in HD clarity on screens too far from reality to reach, sending the message that worth is now measured by a number on a scale instead of what's in your heart. I will no longer pledge allegiance this false sense of truth hiding behind a mask of lies, Instead I'll pledge allegiance to the memory of one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I Pledge Allegiance
The perfume of your body dulls my sense. I want nor wine nor **** your breath alone Suffices. In this moment rare and tense I worship at your breast. The flower is blown, The saffron petals tempt my amorous mouth, The yellow heart is radiant now with dew Soft-scented, redolent of my loved South; O flower of love! I give myself to you. Uncovered on your couch of figured green, Here let us linger indivisible. The portals of your sanctuary unseen Receive my offering, yielding unto me. Oh, with our love the night is warm and deep! The air is sweet, my flower, and sweet the flute Whose music lulls our burning brain to sleep, While we lie loving, passionate and mute.

Flower of Love
I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of a united state that consists of stock market ****** politics, **** and hate. One nation, without a vision, under a god, who dominates all religion. A "majestic" nation, who defends itself with nuclear fission. If you are looking for liberty, you better keep wishin'. "Indivisible" but devised into fifty states of gray. Freedom of speech itself, can deprive you of what you need to say. **** your liberty, just because you can ******* my integrity , doesn't mean you can get the best of me. Just because I dress like this, doesn't mean I'm a communist.

Michelangelo's Meat-suit
We are young! We are strong! Lungs to the heavens as our hearts sing along! We run as thousands but we stand as one! Souls in the heavens with eyes on the gun, fun! Pound our feet in the ground, rumblin' rhythmic footsteps move mountains with its sound! Our words heat the air as the ice cracks loud! Their shiver is shared; Let them stare, we don't care Melt into the crowd, and we still stand out! Individual Indivisible Indescribable Indefensible Yet still feasible to stay reasonable No treason is seasonal No wall is that pliable Withstand hate with strength undeniable Vicious, and still likable Quick to bite; to heal a wound Get hurt, get chewed Get back up, Get out soon And we stand up in rythum And get back in tune Singing a song, to sing along Where we all belong, Where none is wrong Mass hysteria with a flex of a muscle Show them all just how strong Long in the tooth or still young You too can have youth melt in the crowd, stand your ground or get swallowed up by the swiftness of our sound

My talisman was destroyed by a sorcerer, who, much annoyed, bade me worship only him. I worship not a lowly man who lacks the power to understand beauty beyond the realm of man. Plato’s archetypes are real in our creations and what we feel. The innocence of childhood play The setting sun at end of day The work of every artist great Brings me to a better fate My talisman returned to me Resurrected, in a different guise. There is somewhere of no lies, only adamantine ties. Where love is indivisible from art and only death tears us apart.
