A Year in Haiku
There are some nights When i look up at the sky and fall in love Over and over again. Gazing at the night sky unfurl into deeper hues of blue indicating the end of yet another day. Stars as if diamond flung up into an inky facade. The moon, shinning in its glory As if the divine halo of the Almighty himself. A celestial space so immense where my mind can wander limitless. I embrace the silence of the night and leap into its angelic gloom. They say dark is evil, an unruly nemesis But now as I lie under this murky sky I realize Dark has a bewildering beauty.

Ventilating
If she studies you with that particular look, and you know the one I'm indicating. Kick off your shoes and glide across the floor towards your loved one. Place your palm firmly on the back of her neck and your other at center mass. With your lips pressed firmly against hers, open her mouth and clean her teeth, stroke her taste buds, feel her heat and free your minds together as one exploding fire ******* soaring vertically with the sporadic curvature of the bottle rocket. Don't stop there, you've got her. She wants you to take complete control. Push her with gentle pressure against the nearest wall and allow progression. Fuse her neckline with your bite and move south to utilize her forearms and thighs. All the while you've cupped her **** cheeks like palming a basketball. From there on, use the organic passion that comes from within. She's giving herself to you. She will not hold this against you. On the contrary, this memorable concession of unbiased surrender is a gift, from your other to you. When it comes to a woman's love, these are some of the best times that you will be offered. Keep desire on fire and make your way to completion together. This recollection you guys are developing will hold years of reminiscence.

This timeless glare transmission
She is a succulent bunch, let me be helpful, if you don't get the complex chemical scent, I call her ,"a girl of unpredictable meeting places"inotropic, is her effect, She sends heartbeats way up. Delectable too, she was, every time I tasted certain parts of her. Her avatars are numerous, like Hindu Gods With specific intention for each incarnation Onee will be pushed in to neurosis, if doesn't completely relish her infinite variety. She is a cryptic mystic, for a while  from signals I discerned and firmly believed Or is she just a creature mysterious Doubt raises it's head, like a lotus From slushy pond My eyes met her at the level of her eyes first, the rest in a haze to me was invisible, Then my heart sends a message "Right now, I missed a beat here" Heart then recites a poem, tells me, it is all her making "Don't fall in love" heart's advice, "Go, dissolve in her completely" Even my own heart has crossed sides, or is it truly an advice for my sake? Love is a hallucinogen, get it? she whistles like wind at bamboo groves from within sings like a thrush, she is a magpie, or is she a koel? Nocturnal animal, in need of mating, making calls, frantic SMS, incessant. She is wind and water, elements that make one burn and drown She spreads her yoga mat on the floor, asks me to sit cross legged Indian style, I am already for that in my mind, So I spread eagle in corpse pose, indicating, "All through my life", mother earth gives me warmth.           Shanti,   Shanti,   shanti

I am gazing at an evening sky, So fascinating! That these words are deprived to imply It seems like a huge canvas, That nature has painted so brilliantly taking its own time. And with all its instinct & power that made it a bit divine. It is certainly an incomparable art piece, With fringes of scattered clouds amidst reflecting the rambling rays of setting sun Best illustrating the sapient strokes of most blended colours that an artist can learn. And that soothing cold breeze that flows through my fingers strengthening the happiness of being here. And the whole scenery so elegant, Stealing my contemplation so well, That I feel unable to move my eyes from there. I kept on staring it till the last emitted ray of the drowning sun dove into the deep darkened horizon and the twinkling stars came, indicating the advent of another night of this beautiful autumn season.

An Evening Sky
Here, now, is the world before me: Women are struggling to make a living And men struggling for beer. The markets are full of drying-up warehouses And market stalls pregnant with emptiness. A woman comes in, Calls the last goods on the shelf, indicating interest. There are the dying smiles that echo no goodwill Upon the naming of a price-below-purchasing; There are the hungry laughters at the teeth of the buyer Who seeks his own gains; There are the welling-up tears that fill the eyes of the seller Who needs the penny to live another day. Poverty and want wears an ugly face And gives hate a voice to echo its disdain. Much displeasure fills the air but in business The customer always wins. Pain eats up my heart as I watch the transaction. Here, survival matters- just as much as love, But now even this is no more. Abacheke-Egbema, Imo State. January 2014

Bloom upon the Mountain—stated
These, I, singing in spring, collect for lovers, (For who but I should understand lovers, and all their sorrow and joy? And who but I should be the poet of comrades?) Collecting, I traverse the garden, the world—but soon I pass the gates, Now along the pond-side—now wading in a little, fearing not the wet, Now by the post-and-rail fences, where the old stones thrown there, pick’d from the fields, have accumulated, (Wild-flowers and vines and weeds come up through the stones, and partly cover them—Beyond these I pass,) Far, far in the forest, before I think where I go, Solitary, smelling the earthy smell, stopping now and then in the silence, Alone I had thought—yet soon a troop gathers around me, Some walk by my side, and some behind, and some embrace my arms or neck, They, the spirits of dear friends, dead or alive—thicker they come, a great crowd, and I in the middle, Collecting, dispensing, singing in spring, there I wander with them, Plucking something for tokens—tossing toward whoever is near me; Here! lilac, with a branch of pine, Here, out of my pocket, some moss which I pull’d off a live-oak in Florida, as it hung trailing down, Here, some pinks and laurel leaves, and a handful of sage, And here what I now draw from the water, wading in the pondside, (O here I last saw him that tenderly loves me—and returns again, never to separate from me, And this, O this shall henceforth be the token of comrades—this Calamus-root shall, Interchange it, youths, with each other! Let none render it back!) And twigs of maple, and a bunch of wild orange, and chestnut, And stems of currants, and plum-blows, and the aromatic cedar: These, I, compass’d around by a thick cloud of spirits, Wandering, point to, or touch as I pass, or throw them loosely from me, Indicating to each one what he shall have—giving something to each; But what I drew from the water by the pond-side, that I reserve, I will give of it—but only to them that love, as I myself am capable of loving.

We start the shift at the same pizzeria Then we must go on deliveries And individuality is born Through varying methods and differing destinations But distinction is mostly born through tips The start of the drive is almost always somewhat positive Unless you know you're getting a low tip in advance The transaction is the singular event It's outcome determines your demeanor for the drive back To the store that is our equalizing ending Deliveries are over at that point The beginning and end are the same store The middle is our transaction Delivery drivers have lived a thousand lives If they have delivered a thousand pies Often getting low tips and asking why I maximize the radio's volume To avoid hearing The roar of my engine Indicating the speed of my delivery But the lyrics Sound so similar to my engine's audio Tears form in my dreaming eyes I wipe them away To be presentable to the customer Who doesn't tip in heartbreaking fashion As I return to my vehicle Tears are no longer available Only silent contemplation My thoughts void blaring music As the reality of my delivery has been discovered And the nature of my drive back dawns on me I'm compelled to rush to the end of the journey So I might possibly start a new delivery Instead of the one I'm on Wishing I had gotten better tips

Ham took you to a cafe on London Road; he was meeting Bernard there. Sit there, Ham said, indicating a table by the wall with wallpaper with a flowered pattern. You sat; stared around the cafe; frowned at two men at the next table. Who's there? You say, pointing towards them, wondering where your Lord Hamlet had gone, and these two jesters at his court. What's the matter, love? One of the men said, smiling, eyeing you, taking in your hair and eyes. Nay, answer me, you said, stand, and unfold yourself. Ham came over to the table: Hush, Ophelia, he said. He apologised to the men, twirling a finger at the side of his head. You gazed at your lord; he contested with these jesters, you surmised, eyeing them. They looked away from you; conversed between themselves; sipped their mugs of tea, ate their breakfasts. You sat gazing at your lord bargaining with a rogue. He brought two mugs of tea and bacon sandwiches and sat opposite you, his back to the jesters. Bernard will be here soon, Ham said, gazing at you, behave yourself. Bernardo? Yes, Bernard, so keep your voice down, Ham said. He began his sandwich; you began yours. Bernard came in the cafe and ordered a tea, and waved. Bernardo, you said, you come most carefully upon your hour. Hush, Ophelia, Ham said. Bernard smiled at you; he tried to understand you and your vocal expressions. Bernardo, you said softer and waved. He waved back and paid the rogue and went, and sat next you, facing Ham. Unfold yourself, you said. Ham raised his hand to hush you. You sat and ate and drank. Your lord was speaking with his minister; he spoke of battle, you assumed, and jested of wounds of war. You felt your *** beneath your dress; it felt so sore.

You walk along the beach with the sand between and beneath your naked toes, the sun touching your skin, the slight breeze feeling your hair. You stop and stare at the sea, the sound of the waves on the shore, like an old man breathing and sighing. There are no ships today; the horizon is bare; empty. You remember walking along this beach with Giles, his hand in yours, the promises he made, the laughs you both had, the look in his eyes, that smile he had. You smile briefly, wipe your small hand across your lips, try to recall that kiss, gone. The sun is high in the sky, blue with hints of white in the horizon, the sea, the far off places long out of reach. If only I hadn’t found that **** letter, you muse darkly, breathing deeply, sensing the sea air, the sharpness of it, the chill on the lungs, if only you hadn’t seen the words of his betrayal, his words of love to another, her of all people, she who had befriended you. Lies. All of those lies, you muse, those bits of truth and lies together, the devil’s mix, the lying ***** him saying those things to her, and to you he says another, liars both of them. You walk on along the deserted beach, your toes scrunching into the sand, the grittiness between the toes, the sharpness underfoot. We made love over there, you tell yourself, indicating an area of rocks, a secret place you thought was yours and his, where he had uncovered you and under those stars, moon and evening breeze, had entered you. You close your eyes and wonder if he brought her here, made love to her in that place, did to her what he did to you. The possibility haunts you, hurts deeply, drives to walk closer to the edge of the sea and shore. You want the sea to take you; want the waves to swallow you up and spit you up some miles down the coast. A lifeless body, a floating bloated cadaver. But that takes a courage you lack, a courage you do not have, despite your hurt and pain, despite your inner anger. You wish you had not read the letter from his pocket, had not searched, had not seen it and opened up the envelope. If only you had remained in innocence of his betrayal, innocent of all that filth and lies. His words to you that morning, as he rose from bed, as his arms left your side, were so loving, so kind. Ceili, he said, Ceili, you are the morning of my day. Such words. Such words said. The sun is warm on your face, the breeze a little chillier now, the sea a bit wilder, the waves touching your feet, touching your toes. What price betrayal? What reward? You wander along the shore, the sea touching you as he had done, feeling your flesh, sensing your life blood, you stop, turn back, empty your mind, vacate, the you, the memory of loss, the life of betrayal.

Dubrovnik seemed a second home, and you, in a street cafe, sat drinking coffee, with that book on Schopenhauer open on the table, a cigarette smoking in an ashtray unattended, thinking of the girl in the hotel restaurant the night before, the waitress who smiled at you as she served and went by your table, and your brother said, I don’t fancy yours much, indicating with a nod of head, another waitress over by a nearby table, plump and spotted, wearing a scowl instead of a smile, and all the while, he eyeing, as young men do the beauty that had caught your eye going by, but all is fair in love, so men have said, so picking up the book on Schopenhauer, and further reading, holding the cigarette between the fingers of the hand not turning pages, you inhaled with deep concentration the smoke and words spread across the page, written by a philosopher of a foreign tongue and different age.

DUBROVNIK 1972.
It is a general saying that What You Seek is Seeking You. If it is so , then why the sought for (i.e. God ) is not meeting the seeker or seeker is discovering the sought for (i.e. God). It is very easy to say that God is looking and searching for us. If it is so, then why we deviate from our path. Why we are attracted to the lust, money or other worldly material. If God is searching us, then certainly he has to guide us in tracing him. But the reality is just opposite. If tread the path of God, people will laugh at you. If you are working in any office, it is very easy to talk about politics, movies, girls, foods, clothes etc. It is very difficult to find a companion with whom you can speak about God. It looks as if God has created all these hindrances so that it is not convenient to seek him. You seek about movie and you find movie theater. You look for clothes, you find the multiples mall easily. But what about God. Go and ask questions to so called Spiritual Leaders, Spiritual Guru and ask for their experience regarding proof of god, and you do not find definite answered. I have met various so called spiritual leaders, spiritual Gurus and asked about their spiritual experience about the God. But I receive only hesitating answer, that too also in Negative. I do not want to name such leaders. I have also read many books like GOD SPEAKS by MEHER BABA, LAW OF SPIRIT WORLD by KHORSHID BHAWNAGRI, AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF YOGI by Yogananda Paramhansa, Gospel of Shri Ramakrishna. But the end result is confusion. Each book gives different account of God. If God is seeking us then why the same is confusing us by providing so diverse ways of following him. Ramakrishna says money and women has to be avoided on the path of God. While Osho and Modern Gurus says just contrary. In fact in word of Osho, without treading the path of *** , it is difficult to follow the path of God for modern man. For Vedanta, the seeking has to follow the ascetic path. The path the self restraint. While the path of tantra (the Left Marg) to utilize women and wine for attaining the Samadhi. It is Just incomprehensible to believe that just two contradictory path lead to realization of same God. When you look to go nearer to a particular cities or places , then on the way you start meeting land marks, evidencing that the path, you are following , is going to lead you to your destination. In fact on the ways, you find many stones, indicating the distance which is yet to be covered in reaching the destination. But in case of God, things are just contradictory. The more people you approaches to seek advise regarding the God, the more disappointment comes to you. The more book you read to tread the path of God, the more confusion you creates for yourself. The more you discuss the topic of people around, the more alone you become. The more you tread the path of truth, the difficult your life become. Then how it can be said that WHAT YOU SEEK, IS SEEKING YOU????? In fact , truth is that What we seek, creates hindrance in being sought for.

Good-byes bid one by one, like a row of candles Glowing, but flickering with the most temporary relief. The disbelief, a pathetic excuse to suffice as justification Prove me wrong, but offer no reason or explanation, Only lies. Harbingers are callow cries Marked by the change of season Or waning of the moon, Take your pick, Pick the scabs That flake away, Like the broken air vents scratching your room Noiselessly. Blame the airwaves for failure, Fail to deliver an honest example, a sample Of blood you donated to a lost cause, A ship without a sailor Headed for a vacuum in the wrathful waters, bubbling blue.   Your blue Crystalline eyes that spoke emotionlessly, Evoking commitment devotionlessly. My intention, apparent and there Your attention limited to a direct, directionless stare. A washed out jacket smelled of sweet dry sands Concealed your regret, a heart held weak with grainy hands, Like the hands of a clock Or an hour glass, releasing a last tock Before the neglected and battered boat Caught glimpse of the welcoming flock Of seagulls Lounging lazily upon a desolate dock, Waiting for the incoming tide Relying on your "sick and pale" Grieving orbital That refuses to abide By the laws of science, set So stubbornly, Setting itself for denial, Demands that will never again be met, A decision thought out without precision, Finality embodied through Hands waving away. Those cleansing waves indicating disarray... Or perhaps welcoming the sun's promising rays.

The spidered light of a September night, shallow and sparsely flung about the room, reminisces the sound of a phoenix in flight, while webs inside the rafters loom. The phoenix song is like the pallid glow of a chandelier. Waning, yet resilient, it coos in mystic merriment melodies in the key of a rattling nearby mirror. Every so often the song completely stops, filling me with a silent bit of despair. Commonly this follows loud scores of pops indicating the cycle residing in the flare: into ashes the song bird bursts again. It's Rudolphish nose begins to scrunch up --- I see it even now as I fill my water-cup --- a sort of reincarnation acumen. But the bird isn't really real or here; it's more of a half-truth or memory, similar to tales of the origins of tea. It sways, forgetful on my cerebral pier, nearly falling into the waves of my brain, dipping it's feather mid-refrain, repeating it's song again and again, and again.

Phoenix Song
The painkillers in my pocket rattle with each step toward the unreachable moon in strange harmony with the untainted snow crunching beneath my feet. Two or three aren't enough to numb me anymore, no longer enough to shut my brain off for a little bit... to quiet these thoughts that stalk me and whisper how no one would find me if I just lay here on this nameless road with a mouth full of pills, face to the stars, and die in the arms of a snow angel who'll carry me away to a heaven I only believe in when I'm high. I squeeze the bottle in my pocket almost to the point of crushing it as I turn away from the wind and look back at the light of my grandpa's cottage drawing my attention away from my midnight daydream and the moon that hangs like a sliver bullet stained with the blood of monsters from my mind. How many times have I walked this path high praying to God's gleaming eye for death, as it winks slowly with darkness as if indicating something beyond my comprehension... All I know is the cottage is warm and I should go back.

God's Gleaming Eye
I grieve for you in the cold quiet of winter My absent child, my long lost son Warming my hands over dying flames, frost covered smouldering clinker, By the wood where icy streams run Through the shrunken sedge, and barren fields Stretching for miles, empty of meaning. The landscape like a worn photograph yields Your tremulous smile, then nothing. Here, you ran with startled steps Through the yielding sheaves, yelling with surprise, Chasing indifferent spiders, and discomfited birds With hatred in their pebble pool-dark eyes. Querying awkwardly spoken words, small Tenacious fingers that caress and clutch Every passing object, loudly chuckling, wisely playing me for a fool A silly father who loved too much. On the anniversary of your leaving I required solitude Partnered only by memory Away from familiar crowds, the booming, barking fusillade Of the present day commonplace urban itinerary, Where only the crackle of snow And the fleeting trajectory of birds Distracts my slow Marshalling of comforting thoughts. The cottage where we lived haunts the shallow glade, A shrouded ghost swaddled by the half-light, Positioned squarely like an old man, its cladding beginning to fade, White branches like dead-fingers that gleam in the night. In the closet are your dust-sprinkled toys, a yellow plastic duck, A cheap skateboard, ancient video games, A guitar you never learnt to pluck A chess board on which you pulverised my endgames. In the preserved furnishings of your bedroom Your school work gathered into stacks Barely visible in the gloom, Our life together in disorganised packs Denoting year and level Development and academic achievement, If any, (but I mustn’t once again cavil) Indicating, even in your earliest years, a specific bent. Standing on the mantelpiece, propped up against the wall, Are brightly coloured, polished pictures Of you. Plump, blonde, agreeably small Dancing, standing, jumping, grinning, absurdly wistful mixtures. A bitter echo resonating from the shadows A cold thought darkening into memory The spectre of your voice disappearing in the meadows Having left all of us! Having left me!

Chairs were creaking from the strain of ignorance, as the habit of ignorant anticipation gripped the edge of a creative moment to disrupt thoughts which hoped to choose the pastel colors of an expressive photograph. Rather than deep garden saturation, the light, fading to become ghosts of movement, offered a place of acceptance. Shrugs rounded the shoulders of the road, so it could be claimed that no responsibility hindered the development of suspension systems. Political levitation supported the dancers as they turned onto the public stage in a forum of occupation. The state of the street, in the absence of smooth nylon, brought the parachutes down to flutter, disconsolately, above the pavement. Single waves of regret were drawn to leave the stage, but, as this effort was declined, determination measured resolve based upon community options, described in the local papers. Setting the pages down, each day, the play became enamel baked onto the restoration and the satisfaction which kept them all together as a group. Certain curtains were raised, as others were lowered to close the door excluding the poor from the equal share of space related to the experiments of the place. Conversation by clerks sculpted freedom to crimp the brass cases in ways not accepted by sprites in mid flight. Forces of education were dismissed as a superficial demonstration indicating the character, intensive. Thus, they were reaching for the money, but funding remained a gift offered only to those admired and, through the glass, profitable by cultural attributes. Some thought the process was the singular importance of an event. The dancers were dreaming, as they rehearsed. Another kind of artist discarded the event in favor of the documents and images meant to persist. These, the dancing players favored as memories to be contemplated, some to be cherished. Materialism, since it included spirit, ruled the transient existence experienced as joy. Perception brought enjoyment into being, yet when the unusual critic walked away, it was a dispossession. Other critics were members of the team.
