"imaginative" poems
ever since i was young, my gaze was drawn skyward. i could tell you the story of orion, and how to brush bernice's hair, before i could tell you that two plus two equals four. i know more about our vast universe, than i know about many of my friends. if you are not well acquainted with a pisces, let me give you a bit of an introduction: we are compassionate, imaginative, we adapt to whatever is thrown at us, and my personal favourite, we are unfalteringly loyal. however... we are full of self-hate, prone to laziness, we are escapists and horrendously easy to manipulate. i believe my horoscope today is complete ******** i do not feel utterly lovely, i know i will not score a date because no one feels for me romantically. i've nothing to flaunt. the horoscopes are saccharine lies, but, those traits? those are me. my soul is ancient, i feel the pain of struggles i have not faced, or rather, have not YET faced; i will split my soul in two i will break my bones i will give every drop of my blood i will breathe my last breath for those that i love. i spent two years of my life giving my heart and soul to a sagittarius. philosophical, adventurous. i admired him so. but his negatives-- inconsistent. overconfident. careless. he was a burning house. my mother, also a pisces, when all was said and done, told me to stay away from those sagittarius boys. they're dangerous for wary, fretful fish like us, who ask 'from what bridge?' when we are told to jump.

pisces (don't trust a sagittarius)
I chose ice-cream Over yogurt; Strawberry, vanilla or chocolate. Each equally without prejudice Attracted. The fifteen year old server Was kinda short; The vanilla tub had about three scoops Remaining, Stacked hidden like frozen snow-balls As in war games. His task would have been daunting And embarassing, And I, a humanitarian From higher education, An altruist from St. Joseph's, Could not allow it. The chocolate tub Was yet covered, And the sobbing child's cries Were hardening in my ears As Dad tried to allay His chocolate tears, Applying the five second rule. I am an empath By nature and poetry, So, turning from chocolate, Left me strawberrry. Triple scoop too. I believe You thought through Your choices Like flavors of ice-cream. Being imaginative, I do.

Ice-Cream
In some sense is our identity at stake? Is friendship a relationship of knowledge, self knowledge, or has it to do with the imaginary, meaning in some sense who we are is imaginary, and we just construct ourselves through other people..? are we knowing the other, or producing ourselves in that relation through our continuous phases of knowing ? 'Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly.' Maybe friendship is an imaginative task that has to then meet reality in some way- as a child hallucinates first what they might be, we have to own who we are first, own ourselves, and then meet reality so we can land somewhere- so that it becomes real, in order to own it, so that we can take part in life. FRIENDSHIP – fragility of friendship Is any friendship real? What is real friendship? Sincerity, genuine concern, legit interest – Friendship is everything and fleeting at the same time

Thoughts on Friendship and the Human Condition
My anxiety is not me. My anxiety is shaking hands. My anxiety is imaginative. My anxiety is sleepless nights. My anxiety is never satisfied. My anxiety sits on my shoulder. My anxiety keeps me from making important phone calls. My anxiety forces me to want to isolate myself. My anxiety makes me cry over nothing. My anxiety makes me cry over everything. My anxiety tells me a C may as well be an F. But my anxiety forces me to avoid important tasks I have to deal with. Everything scares me. What am I so scared of? My anxiety wakes me up vomiting. My anxiety forces me to pull away from the people I so badly want to fall into. My anxiety keeps me from living. My anxiety makes me at least two to twenty minutes late everywhere because I don’t believe I am ever prepared, so I have to retrace my every other step, constantly checking and re checking. Constantly doubting. My anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through my mind. My anxiety is a menace, a monster, a fish with teeth, black yarn, lawn chairs sinking in the sand. My anxiety rules me.

My Anxiety
An enigmatic smile she’s dressed with to chant mystery, Poets and bards with their magical poesy tried the mystery, Philosophers and thinkers broke their minds to unravel the secrecy, Scientists and law makers built hypotheses and verdicts to read hers, Painters and sculptors fatigued with their colours and clay, Actors and directors enacted to unknot the thread of obscurity. Odes and epics, long-written, attempted to sing Lisa’s Smile; But reflections of their beloveds’ smile read in their verses, Philosophies and thoughts expressed in huge volumes; But less understood even the painter’s invention, Theories and laws built around Science and Law; But little is the outcome of their propositions sans the mystery, Colours and clay played on mighty imaginative realms; But Mona Lisa ne’er spoke of her mystery Smile. Enactments on massive stages thrilled the collective audiences; But Mona Lisa hid the mystery of her Smile. I walked around the garden of poetry with fragrance of mystery, I saw a poem in her distinctive beauty ruling my mind’s eye. She smiled at my heart and in turn my heart smiled at her, Her smile taught me a mystery and it took time to read it; Yet there was a veil betwixt us, and I took my plume to write. She took my heart unto her, and I romped in joy. She’s been decked with melody and rhymes, And the string of verses stretched beyond the horizon, Where the mystery of Lisa’s Smile be found. She took me with her beyond the horizon, And I followed her with no utterance till our destination. She laughed at me for my silence; Yet she smiled unto me; but her smile looked unfathomable. She smiled and smiled at me; yet she had no utterance for me; She looked a little bit puzzling unto me, and I had no answer; Yet her smile dwelled in me, and I invoked the Muse of Poetry. “Thou art to be a silent lover, and her smile is the answer unto thee, She’s the Mona Lisa; she can’t speak, but smile and smile.” I lay on the soil of the kingdom of poetry, imbibing Lisa’s Smile, I adorn her smile; I worship her smile; I revere her smile, Let me not move away from the garden of poetry Till Lisa’s Smile is translated unto me. I waited and waited and I found the answer: Lisa smiles and her smile is the love of silence. My heart rests in silence that her love is felt within. She uttered into me:”Speak not, but love with smile, And that the mystery of my Smile and my Smile lasts.” I know why Mona Lisa smiles. She loves me with her silent Smile.

He looked at his object with an eye. So, he came closer to clarify. An angle that will compliment for each element. A product that can make a statement. He chose the bright colors to incorporate. Because her smile suited a great light. He focused the subject, and suddenly it was fading. She was started running. Running, from the picture perfect life that he created. She was a medium of unrealistic bliss. And found herself out of nowhere. People envied her but they didn’t know the  truth. She was missing the unfiltered life. She spaced out, and her heart was bruised. He was definitely imaginative. And fooled by unreachable perspective. He looked at his object with an eye. Thinking, with her was a root of a great life.

The vision isn’t clear, yet it will come together soon. He works quickly With a due date set in mind Full of ambition The vision isn’t clear, yet it will come together soon. He finishes his new achievement Smiling happily at his new jumble of handiwork Glued together precisely The vision isn’t clear, yet it will come together soon. He attaches the different shapes to himself Straps glued to the cardboard It seems he’s wearing armor With doorknobs and wood grain painted on it with pure artistry He hears someone come in the front door His smile turns to panic He quickly cleans up the supplies Throwing things around the room anywhere they fit He runs to the corner of his room He quickly pulls the “armor” close to him As he sits in the fetal position His armor becomes a small dresser that looks as if it was made for clothes The father bursts into the room With rage spelled out on his forehead The boy hides brilliantly afraid of the wrath to come The father looks around the room carefully *Come out Come out Wherever you are The next time I see you I’ll give you more bruises than last week altogether* He closes the door with a loud slam The boy unfolds his creation, a simple dresser Who knew that a young boy’s imagination Would protect him from all of the horror and pain usually unleashed on him

I'm head starting the challenging life 12th grade decides my future strife. Herein lies the mystery of tomorrow Destiny of the mighty ship in my carefull row. Not asking for incredible flourishing results But delivering support for my stupendous work. Not asking for imaginative unreachable marks But holding my hands to provide the best of myself. Not asking to pour elixir for hardwork devoid outcome But strolling me through the gates of earnestness. Not asking for your substitution in me But to confront me with your intrepid grace. Not asking for grade ten replica But lending me the same earnest virtue. Help me ignore the incompatible watchers, To provide the least hope of comparing Falling in despair in other's successful fruits. But to help better and improvise my solitary results And shelter me in your house of modesty. No beneficial ranks but the submissive marks that lends a hair to my cognitive efforts To grant me light in the death of night. Let me blossom as tranquily as the sunflower Yet not vanish in the glory of jubliation But gradually offer me petals And extend the reliance day by day. Mindful and heeding my compatible hardwork Finally, let me conquer the glamorous colour Of my utmost individuality. Rehabilating the small hopes intro pristine reality Aware of the hunger turning to lime light To strike a chord for my year before. Take me on your hands, float me through legitimate mistakes, rip me apart in the wave of unquenchable thirst and finally wrap me out as a champion badge of jaded grade twelve. Finally, Bless me God, provide eternal marvels Bless me God, honour the righteous path As the testimony of your judicious grace Bless me God, I'm starting life (grade twelve)

how far must she travel to rediscover her purpose her purpose what a preposterous concept neither rest nor return are purpose neither love nor hate are purpose neither this nor that so then what what is it what is the answer to this unquantifiable question perhaps it rests in the caverns of her dreams in the caverns of her subconscious synesthetic mind seeing colors for numbers and mango puddles in the rain it was always her imaginative spirit that activated her forehead which wrinkled with the tides of hurt pain sadness glory god and she was told to soften that sternness soften it until she was nonexistent but instead she asked what are these things what are their purpose besides drinking foreheads and wringing potential and piping out excuses for this and for that for crimson activities and claret affairs

On Being Lost
Living under time management ideas As if the decision was ours Night time seems never ideal No time to question  schedules or hours Insomnia has chosen me Ignoring these standards And if it was on me To chose her or not And if I had the power To decide my living fate I would still be married to her Because insomnia keeps you awake She loves your eyelashes Moving up and down What else could I choose other than those who love me? And insomnia will keep you awake No intention to bother, maybe No intention to creep down your tense shoulders And still I would choose her Sans hesitation No other temptation Because Night time is for the hungry Night time won’t tell you you are wasting time Night time is the ring insomnia carried the day she proposed And so I sometimes wear the ring It’s cold and simple Nothing interesting for those who have decided to dream with their eyes closed But to me, night time has no boundaries The ring fits us well The poets and the thinkers But beware because this ring is also carried by the harmful They steal the ring off a thinker once in a while They are silent and could be watching you Not owning their personal marriage to Insomnia Only thinking to commit selfish acts Waiting for you to forget about the ring and the vowel Waiting for you to manage the little time He’s told you own Beware of being awake too He could confuse you with the harmful man Because you are awake and only those who chose to ignore the imaginative scarcity of time are made to start a revolution for life So sleep tomorrow, or the next week Because tonight is all you have guaranteed as your thinking time.

In the short story, "The Rocking-Horse Winner" written by D.H. Lawrence, the young boy, Paul, associates luck with wealth and bets large amounts of money on the soon-to-be winning horses. His family is extremely wealthy but can barely afford to keep up to their title. What is one thing that society does not know yet the children do about the mother? They know that their mother does not love her own children. She gives them everything they need and want except for one thing. And that one thing they do need is love. One knows love by the look in their eyes. It is much more difficult to lie with eyes than with words and actions. She is materialistic and adores money and extravagance. I think we all agree that the mother is oblivious to her situation. How are we not like the mother? The truth is, we are exactly like the mother. She doesn't realize that love is not a number, money or products but that love is looking into one's eyes and showing true affection. We are in complete illusion that wealth leads to happiness. We think the same thoughts when the more we have, the more successful we may be however in reality, it is false. A perfect example is Black Friday. Companies, businesses and customers all decided to cut the Thanksgiving holiday to purchase more "stuff" to make them "happy". They decided to cut the time to spend with family, friends and relatives to spend for themselves and others. Who is the villain in the story? Most believe villains are a something or a someone who prevents the "good guy" from achieving their goal, also known as an antagonist, however the villain in this story cannot be seen, touched, smelled or even tasted. It can only be spoken and heard of. It is an imaginative villain. It is merely the manipulation of the mind of the misconception that luck is associated with wealth. This begins the entire issue with obsession and materialism. I'm sure we all agree that luck is something that happens to you without you possibly deserving or expecting it. But what is luck when others are given it? For example, if a random stranger gives your friend $100, another $1,000, but gave you only $20. Would you still feel lucky? Well, in all honesty it all depends on our circumstances, which then determine our values. Shouldn't it be reversed where our values determine our circumstances? In the end, over the many years of bets and deference, Paul has been riding his rocking horse to find the true winner and to find luck.

Sexuality
The clock gets me. It comes to me in the middle of the night Pulls back the sheets and says, "Hey fucko." Then it lifts open my sobby wet sand-encrusted lids, It knows when I'm trying at sleep, pumping quarters Like I was swallowing yawns, sometimes I try to squint Harder and take a dream to the next level, whatever The next level is. It's like Friday night when I wanted to go Out to do something, whatever something is. Because I know that if I don't I'll miss that thing that's so Important that if I were to miss it the clock wouldn't come for me Again. And on Tuesday's when I'm knotting a dream around 2 o' clock In the morning, my web-footed adventure, say, killing your Boyfriend, say Fighting the Nazis, say, Rediscovering that you sent nudie pics to That rando guy we met in that club that lives in Prague- I throw the clock at the ******* wall. Because who knows, I make the bed wrong Or maybe I don't cook right, or look right, or Smile the right way at the right Time. And you start thinking that I have to die. The bane of my existence is an imagined feat in your Walnut-sized brain, slowly numbing us while we're Supposed to be, say Listening to the rich, Oxford voice of David Attenborough. Instead you're thumbing through that index of CVS cashiers, just trying to find a scruffy face To flip your digits to, your homemade justification. It becomes A feat, an unjust cause of mine to Get it right, that imaginative and artificial bit you've Been sewing up Monday twilight. That's when I go out and jaw your sister, somewhere between A smirk on your face and a bit of anger at the end of your sentences.

The Physics of Love: The Equivalency Fallacy the poet places his Sunday porcelain coffee mug   upon his bare chest, purposed to heat the heart to a higher degree, equal to hers, next door, three feet away, in their communal bed two identical alarm clocks, one on each nightstand, confirms the degree differential, for far beyond time-telling, it informs on me, providing the room temperature, and her side of the bed, 5 degrees warmer the collegial scientists posit theoretical excuses, the rooms wind currents, proximity to the A/C, body mass, all refuted after visual and mechanical inspection, all indelible proofs of the Equivalency Fallacy despite the visual evidence abounding all around, despite the surrounding starlike quantity of busted, love songs, poems and the other artistic churn, depicting the principle, one requires love physics to validate the living principle for the living, that love is rarely identical in quantitative quality, typology, representation and manifestations measurable each greets the other with morning declarations of mutuality, trying to find those hundred different ways to love her/him today, employing imaginative artifice to proof the impossibility, that in every aspect your living love ability is precious capital precision equal and ha! each love is the greater... you knew this? then you knew, his coffee spills (intentionally?) and the Fighting Fallacy rules, every thing is fair in love and war, for they too, are identical and equal, in so many ways, but never quantifiable exactly 8:33am, 73 degrees, on my side 11/12/17

My dad thinks my name means “Little princess” My mom thinks my name means “Behaves like a cat” and “Hard to love” My brother thinks my name means “That annoying sound maker” My favorite teacher  thinks my name means    “Nurturing         Imaginative          Noteworthy Astute” My best guy friend thinks my name means “Good at poetry and knows how to laugh” My person thinks my name means “Going to help many people one day” But I think they left out some things like “Tries way too hard to impress” “Has many bottled up emotions in stock “ “Dreams of skyscrapers and glass windows” “A binge watcher of many, MANY shows” “Dreams of the perfect family in the suburbs” ”Dreams of love, from someone, anyone” “Has a walk in closet full of masks” And that’s what my name means

What My Name Means
Her eyes are the same as mine. Black and white, but her eyes have beauty in it Her long hair. Dyed and shines, falls beautifully behind her back, hanging on her head carelessly Her smile brings joy in life of mine. I want to be the reason of her happiness. Desprately Her heart makes me blind. I seek nothing else but an imaginative object that I can't see. Oh Lord let me kiss her lips and let the addiction kills me Oh Lord let me see her eyes closely. The eyes that will brighten my life so I could see Oh Lord hear my jealousy, the seed of my sins that grows in my heart slowly Oh Lord bring her to me. The thief who stole my heart silently Dear Lord my Saviour Bless her and protect her Dear Lord my Saviour Hear my prayers for her

*An ecstatic poet, conjured up a full moon night so special. Pairs of lovers got drunk with moon's white wine, reveled, danced all night along the sea washed sands in ebullient spirit till they were completely exhausted,  slept there on the sand bed. When dawn tiptoed, they transformed to lovebirds, away they flew, did they want to get back to human lives; no one knows, even if they did- wasn't possible, the poet that created them, in drunken stupor, had already forgot the whole episode and was in a hurry for new conceptions.*

Lives spent within imaginative worlds
baby boomers' education was creative back then everyone was so imaginative considering the economy was inactive our perspective isn't the perceptive. we were made from the earth's clay from our mother's conception day into the world we millennials came treated by parents like we are so lame. our technology is more advanced millennials are so very benevolent i guess it is such a bad expectation s/o to my ***** Richard Dawkins. they say back then we called friends we say today we text friends they say gas was worth 35¢ a gallon we say gas is worth $3.35¢ a gallon. they say we had black and white tvs we say ****** we got colored tvs but there is a paradigm masterpiece it just makes you stand to your feet. considering our generation escapades theirs created the existence of AIDS now we millennials are not to blame that is what made their time so lame.

Comparison Poem of the Baby Boomers to the Baby Boomlets
An unusual creation of mine, will it be good enough? imaginative, yet a piece of my heart. will it be good be enough? Short and concise, will it be good enough? stanza after stanza. will it be good enough? whatever it is about, will it be good enough? Deity, blue sky, love or money will it be good enough? Effortlessly,my eyes closed, buttock sat, pen wrote. Regardless, a poem it will be called My Poem- First of its kind.

My first poem
You are special All I ask is that you do your best I am proud of you You are special If everyone else jumped off of a cliff would you? You are better than that You don't know what love is Choose something you love Never work a day in your life Work hard Respect everyone Don't make the same mistakes as me You are the future You still have the rest of your life to figure it out You always have a room upstairs I wish I had known what I know now My job is killing me It's not for everyone If I only had more time Your mother and I are getting a divorce Can you set up my twitter account? Hey buddy I want you to meet Dinah I just don't understand what goes through your head Stop being so... Compassionate Sensative Cautious Depressed Honest Diverse Passionate Caring Imaginative ...no... ENTITLED.
