Honest, that meaningless word left dangling before children, a damoclean sword held fast in a gordian knot tied with scarlet thread, finer than the spider's that once tied men's souls to an angry American God, birthed in Transylvania, over the woods, and through the dale, no lie There is a tale of lies told in Nobel houses, never reachin' ground, Down here, we situations manifested to, vain, again, stem the tide, We flounder, fish out of water, why are we sent if wait he hears, he listens, haps he knows, and how such as we came to be here, Welcome and see, dare ye ask me in? Might I ply you with lies and you, believe 'em? I could make a mindless robot out of your parts, but that would take forever and that's not how Wisdom's child would tend to be, for first, You must believe a lie and I, amusing as can be, can't tell lies. Discernment, fine points, per-spicacity per se, the only way. Good luck (Luc, said luck in many tongues, is said Lose- as in Luc-ifer. It means light, as in light, regular old granted light.) Lightifier, good, take some, good light, for the travail, in the night. You see, not so long ago, for me, five years before I'as born, my momma moved to town. What was that like, I axed my old uncle, while back, movin' t'town, in 1943? Well, he says, We had electricity. USA, 1943, some folks still was poor, and all the good men was gone to war. Cities, it was different, if the movies got it right, Bowry Boys, n'em. In the desert we did, okeh, in town, though, we had electricity. He was ten back then. He'd been huntin' rabbit's, to buy Christmas presents from Sears and Roebucks, since he was five. C'mon, I say. No lie, he say, BLM or some gover'ment whatsajigger, was payin' 2 cents a pair fer jack rabbit ears. 'Said he bought Christmas presents for his mom and dad, and my mom, with his first rabbit money, at five. Shootin' with a single-shot 22, 12 cents a box, Jack Rabbits, 2 cents a head. Three Christmas presents, plus postage, $2.56. Do the math, I think, and go - Five years old, at ten, he moves to town, 1943, we had electricity. That's all.

Well, World, you have kept faith with me, Kept faith with me; Upon the whole you have proved to be Much as you said you were. Since as a child I used to lie Upon the leaze and watch the sky, Never, I own, expected I That life would all be fair. ’Twas then you said, and since have said, Times since have said, In that mysterious voice you shed From clouds and hills around: “Many have loved me desperately, Many with smooth serenity, While some have shown contempt of me Till they dropped underground. “I do not promise overmuch, Child; overmuch; Just neutral-tinted haps and such,” You said to minds like mine. Wise warning for your credit’s sake! Which I for one failed not to take, And hence could stem such strain and ache As each year might assign.

He Never Expected Much
The fire knows nothing but burning, we know breathing that way, naturally done for our own sake. We old still know sake and grant mean true immaterial things. Sake and granted we take to mean my good, your good, good sake grant me take me con mentis sans carne by golly. Dada-esque wire spoke far writing ease e everything e-literate e-mail --- the boinin' in d'boozum, dat be da ting, da ting con sum in all ya'lifes. be knowin' dat, be knowin' a-dam lie. Jah know y'know, don' be sayin' no y'don' Be happy. Jah know haps be hap'nin' allatime. *** sum, take wha's granted, take all fo' free. You got nothin' t'boin, nothin' to oin, be a bird brain seein' stars fo' no. birds be sleepin' when stars be seen so birds consider nothin', sidereally. Hmmm. Quit? Walk away, say, I got nought to say I ought t' say. No way. Temporary tempt-test-u-us sitchee-ations, suffer it so. It don' hurt t'say no f'now so How'd that that shiny critter know my game? How'd it know, I think thisaway and it is gone, forever. (which has begun, btw) ----- The biosphere is regaining consciousness, Capitan. Shall we continue burning? What's the bullocks count?

Family-first a tale-Twisted
Could vous just take a second, a moment, one solid instant to visualize the boy in the stall with more felt lacerations than words of admiration. Could the bold, bright, beautiful ones start singing because I'm sick of the loud talk that goes through the motions of lingering in an echoed room as they "try" to save the oceans - tell me, did we litter on the way there? There's a forgotten world in stories told of heroes, breathing clean air. Could the world give one more shot (a mountainous event) because history needs valor. But technology is further than requirements for bravehearts to trigger a gun. Envision a man four foot high, who stands a flag where poppies lie because he was that lucky man who watched his fellows die I'll say, weaponry wields death to We, naught could prove me wrong. Could the world be a little bit more tight; bring back the mystery of gentlemen. We're too loose and on the edge of loss, and the cost - oh, the cost is sentimentality that somehow became disconnected when baring your soul and stripping bare became two and when I meet the one, my mind is plagued that we shall only amount to half. Could the world be about more than the new, the sophisticated or have too many eye closed to the life before the Dodo's died; now only one view: to screen the disease from the rescued swingers, sinkers and singers ahhhhhhhhh! basking in captivity: to compensate, we take back by metabolizing habitats. Could the world be about to - because me and mine are everywhere, but mind: the brain's likely to reach revelation. Clap, we will excel. After all, when the world explodes and we reconnect, I'm sure each will preach and teach and leech until it's known - We'll thank Gutenberg as needed, but printer is no master when the minds are intertwined. But P'haps it has been a bad morning because I've known you and you've bled true - long been fixing those around, so they aren't torches who warn off monsters, instead they shave down fangs of loathing, there's no - not one! - beast they burn. And don't I wonder? Ah yes, I do wonder: that now Could the world be about to turn?

Could the World be About to Turn?
Dream to reach stars but dreams can be broken, Bitter memories and the pain is unspoken. It won’t be erased, but submerged beneath new pages. Expectations do not match reality. Reality is what you choose to make real. Turn inside and guage what you have earned, Smiles will not dissolve forever, For there is always a lesson learnt. Be ready to except a fall, You might be just witnessing an illusion. Things don’t need to be the way you dream. 'haps you're living someone else’s dream. The dreamer was an artist, the hand that wrote it all. Hate is not bad; it’s just an emotion after all. Paint a picture on the canvas but know that it can be burnt. Throw the ashes and treasure the scars, to remember the lesson learnt. Life is not bad; it’s irregular, unanticipated but grand, Changes make you alive, but through them only one will take your hand. Time is a two faced arrow, your mind is vicious and vast, It flows from present to future, but also to the past. Light is just not beauty, Encompass the dark, Your canvas will be painted, not alone but with the stars. When your walk is not alone, when you’re whole you will discern, One day you cried and now you laugh on what you learnt.

Love don't die easy You starve it of affections Uncrown it's expressions Stand it up for 100 years more Abandon it in the rain for centuries There just ain't no way to **** it Even in Death, This Crowned Love is never lost In a room full of so much love There's still that emptiness Only filled by this Crowned Love Some call it an Addiction Others birth it an Obsession It's love being itself "Adeife boni lara ju Ewaife lo" Love won't be denied Love does what it does It's just that same Love That don't die easy A perpetual crescendo Unleashing explosive lovettos "Love goes by haps; Some Cupid kills with arrows, some with traps.... " Some just love hard One that never dies...

Undying Love
If I hedge thus a drooling wager and cash in on my thrice-foiled cravings for her overdue bites (plus a guilt-free laugh at his expense), I can use minced steps to sidle around too-lively trunks, and avoid the need to heed thugs barking mad from within their crevice-laid traps. How those bug-eyed brutes'll clamor and claw at me to discard this protective wrap, clued in by my rep of never bending willfully to anybody but her. "Come on, shed! Get, uh, new set of scales, for you we will — promise!" is how she'd stammer, roughly translating their not-so-twee chatter, if she were there. Rather, in that lavishly apt way she has, she'll be away picking suitable pelts to adorn her newly uncovered, quite public shame while fending off an advancing clod, who won't go easily, but who does go on ad nauseam with a penchant for naming every ******* thing that haps vitally across his cocky path. Beyond a simple relish of mischief, I'm doing this (mostly) for her benefit. How could a persimmon be forbidden, as if he had permission to make such bargains? He's dismissed it as an ungainly fruit, and mocked its likelihood to "lava thy lips" with an orange pulp, but in that chance smattering lies the matter to inflame my soul. I'll feed her the pudding-fresh flesh, and strip it down to its delectably small seeds. In their splitting I'll glean the silvery utensils to spill a man's wholly worthless future. Let's tuck in.

Fruit of a Bizarre Love Triangle
Common rural folk, the kind who fight for food and shelter and when they have it they keep it, store it in holes and barns. Children dole the corn to fowl and bovines who gladly eat and give sustenance, enough to share or save for when the worst that can haps Uncles hire warriors to keep watch, or the no-class at all trash take all they have inherited and eat it and burn the hides, old men beat empty baskets, soft beat them, soft around the fire, old women shuffle, shhh see the ash mixt wit' dust rise on dust devils, swirl swish dance sing soft hear hear us shhh sing soft some rain come soon Peace in the valley, come see, soft dance.

Her curves are attention adhesive Smile is causality of my own I sung to her like an old record player You know, the kind with just enough mis-haps To add something charmingly personal Her eye's are the deepest divine Richly brown, and equally bright I kissed her like a one way ticket, Composing a fork in the through Spontaneity stacked upon desire Her love is brilliantly benevolent Profoundly unconditional, and sincere It enveloped me like a crackling fire When the snow is pressing down A piece of heaven just for me

Brilliantly Benevolent
The heat of day fades as the sun slips west, Foreshadowing the path that leaves me longing. My eyes are fixed and watch her sink away to lands but told in myths and legend's jest. I've heard the tales, oh yes, I've heard them all. A path toward a future, gold and bright, mapped out by lazy currents and good tides. But still elusive, efforts ever stall. And, in a dream I saw them sail before, Columbus, Lewis, Clark, and even Cook, in search of passage to the Orient. But I set out for what the heart wants more. All dreamers, forging on with naught for sense, obsessed with glory's promise, riches, gold. And though they did not find just what they sought, the discoveries they made should recompense. A new world full of riches not foretold Prairies, mountains, friends among the tribes, New ferns here, and bison everywhere. And oceans full of islands to behold. What new world is out beyond, waiting, waiting, should I respond? Keep your silver. Keep your gold. A different beauty I behold. Their descendants killed the bison and the tribes on each horizon. Could I succeed where they have failed? Preserving beauty where I sailed? And so I worry, always wanting - for the task is ever daunting - to keep the treasure in the beauty. That should be a wanderer's duty. But later men have proved it so in countless tests, from high to low, we change a thing by simply seeing. We altar its beautiful being. So 'haps its best to keep away and be contented with our gray. Just let the flowers bloom alone without a reason to be sown. Yet if we do, then more the loss both to us and to the flowers. For beauty without our beholding makes a flower not but dross.

O, be my prayer to the gods, Venus Strong waters of Stygian grey, they swell At my feet, whilst I stand yours, Aeneas. Olympus saw our hearts, both in a spell But mortal flesh grows weak in senescence   It knew we should never be, for you are Too perfect. I took this, such deliverance From hopeless time, myself at your alter. For if man were to couple with the gods ‘Haps, then earthly loves would not fade so fast Take a gentle godhand, this man applauds Aeneas is now a name for the past She cries, Jove-blessed, ‘gainst my youth diurnal Where a golden sky is ours eternal.

Immortal: a sonnet
The once lively river dried, now it’s bare Its sweet, flowing song gone forevermore Life’s pleasant melody just isn’t there And won’t be there to drown within fate’s shore For I shunned hope, I shot down all of love And cringed whenever all my problems came Too scared to face all of these problems, tough Regret I, for it shan’t e’er be the same The river dried, the rush I cannot hear Of azure streams as they snaked through life’s land And o, ignored I every step from ere’ And each problem and every helpful hand I stayed inside, abhorred the streaming glow Never answered my door for hope or strife And repeated such foolish folly though Each day on after, each day of my life Eventually I faced comeuppance, mine For I deserve this pain and woe and strife For I shunned all of bitter hap through time For I had shunned all of the haps of life

Some days seem worth the wait
The connecting notion is "blindly, without foreseeing." From <https://www.etymonline.com/word/temerity> Sad, you, city child, silly old man says. Sad, you, city child, saying so hateful a thing, saying you would hate being a bird, saying you cannot imagine having nothing to do, but fly around heaven all day, scrounging for scraps, ah child, see those crows, hear their song, are they laughing/ yes, at you. I believe all black birds laugh, coo, if you care, is common to doves, coo to caw, as a bird, these are common sense, saying, I am here, now, if you care, let me know, otherwise, this is my rest of the moment, time to feast. I come to eat the bugs that eat the dead, caws, never any famine until fire, or catastrophic reordering of earthly things. As when men lost sight of time signs, trains of thought, fought all natural signs of times too long for one generation to know alone, but watch, hide, and watch. Isotropic radiation field pressure moulding matter from raw mater, really immaterial substances accruing oomph to act as a force in field, from out to in becoming one in time and nothing more. Or drifting into sleep as sound silence imposed enwraptured wait/ A mighty rushing wind… Eight billion voices counting cadence, 30 per, once intuned as day to night, global steps through ever empty time continuance field-set-frames expanding as we imagine unbelieving unimaginable, in a structure so big, us, no mortal takes so many breaths. We listen, loosening tight why-knots in wish reports so oft negated in time today, I am in this wind passing as gas of eight billion breathers, but between the exspelled hex human 'spiration, so soon seeming freebird familiar with the bass line, my toe taps a happy dittydahdit dah didah. - haps as happened, - may haps per se - FTA sent into the wind every minute or so. keep looking, soon we see, you, there suddenly blue shifting seeing me seem no longer red and running away, but we both are like fairy floss, pale blue dot convergent gentle minds, fitted with tamed tongues, hearing laughter welcome the transformation.

Sometimes I feel a void inside myself, Emptiness ready to crush me with its nothingness; And then again I open my eyes— And the world stares back again. My frame is a reed, hollow from the inside, Whole from the outside, And all I know is that I am matter. The deafening and resounding silence Is another matter of concern— It doesn’t crushes; just makes me devoid Of all the bliss of Nature’s precious notes; It is the only sound which surrounds me In the maddening crowd of the quintessential. There is the numbness which confounds me: It has the worst slap of damnation, Amplifying the teeniest touch, Pouring life into every cell. It tosses me amid the tempest in the Ocean, And leaves me battling the waves alone. What distances me from my kin? What is that which I am always seeking? Life comes and goes, and here I am, Still at a loss to comprehend the haps. I just am, will just be; and none would lament The real me, as it is wrapped in its shadows.
