Their mouth NEVER FUCKING seems to shut up & just stop
& damn snitches don't hesitate to quickly name drop
Twisting everything they'll hear
Creating lies & rumors like it is their career!
SO WATCH YOUR BACK, they are only a pretend friend
They're scary & damn identical when they're an impersonator
Nice & kind so they seem, turn away they'll be a backstabbing hater
NOBODY has time for all that ridiculous nonsense
Just attention seekers, without their usually faithful but now gone audience
Desperately trying to remain in the center of attention, cleary blind to the EXTREME  obvious!
You never really deserved to ever be forgiven
I'm done wasting my time & voice on someone who will NEVER listen
Ohhh yah a FYI, a friendship isn't a competition
But more like a dynamic duo always down for a random mission!
Oh well, no coming back now I'm not changing my decision!
Deuces!

To all those fake friends we have all had!

Small town people
Small town minds
Gossip turn sour
No secrets left behind

Small town girls
Small town boys
Turn off the lights
Lock up your toys

Small town crimes
Small town night
Light up the fires
Creeps into sight

Small town games
Small town sins
Newlywed murders
Takes it on the chin

Small town stories
Small town fairs
Drowning in the lake
Nobody cares

Based on my own small town I grew up in

Claiming to be nonjudgmental
She scrolls through her social networks
Looking at photos of people she's met
Maybe once or twice
She scrolls through her social networks
Mindlessly viewing content
Maybe once or twice
Does she understand it
Mindlessly viewing content
Just to pass the time
Does she understand it
Of course not, she's idle
Just to pass the time
Does she act productive?
Of course not, she's idle
She must learn
Does she act productive?
Or just view mindless gossip?
She must learn
Of everything going on
Or just view mindless gossip?
Who cares what they wore
Of everything going on
Fashion is irrelevant
Who cares what they wore
Or even if it matched
Fashion is irrelevant
Why does she care?
Or even if it matched
Why would she pay attention?
Why does she care?
Is it just the thrill of knowing?
Why would she pay attention?
She won't remember in five years
Is it just the thrill of knowing?
A peek into the life
She won't remember in five years
The millions of pictures she saw
A peek into the life
Of a stranger
The millions of pictures she saw
Talked about with her friends
Of a stranger
So easily forgotten
Talked about with her friends
Insults to the subject
So easily forgotten
But still bitter
Insults to the subject
Are viewed as humor
But still bitter
As they cast a negative light
Are viewed as humor
When everyone knows what happened
As they cast a negative light
From being in the know
When everyone knows what happened
Something little is a big deal
From being in the know
Negativity spreads faster
Something little is a big deal
And painted as a bad thing
Negativity spreads faster
Positivity comes slowly
And painted as a bad thing
Is the shaming that comes
Positivity comes slowly
Good things are boring
Is the shaming that comes
Truly human nature
Good things are boring
But they should be building
Truly human nature
Is to talk to others
But they should be building
Healthy relationships
Is to talk to others
To cast someone in a bad light
Healthy relationships
More like toxic gossip
To cast someone in a bad light
Is a sin
More like toxic gossip
People should be nice
Is a sin
The act of judging
People should be nice
It helps others
The act of judging
Stems from social media
It helps others
Learn to gossip
Stems from social media
Are the mean words of today
Learn to gossip
And you'll say them too
Are the mean words of today
To be replaced with nice words of tomorrow
And you'll say them too
To help others?
To be replaced with the nice words of tomorrow
Looking at photos of people she's met
Giving them compliments
Claiming to be nonjudgmental.

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

The days where you just feel okay in yourself are my favorite
Where others don't abraise you like an itchy wool sweater
Where trouble doesn't sit in your stomach like bad pasta
Where you can float along, just being you
Feeling confident that your face is fashioned in just the right way
That your tights are pulled up
That your shirt is pulled down
Those days where you just embrace the fact that others talk
But it doesn't have to define you
I know I have trouble with this
I think we all do
Others talking is a great part of the things that make me unhappy
I think "Well, if only that person wouldn't be talking about me, I would be happier"
But when the truth is, I can choose whether or not to listen
I can choose whether or not to sit with them
Or whether or not I believe something someone else is saying about my life
Because we all know that other people are the experts on all our problems
Fastening their opinions of us based off the exterior of our faces
Well, if there is someone who knows more about me than I know myself
Come, please have me meet them, because I would sure like the answer key to life's book of problems
Because perhaps they play God, too.

Just something I try to keep in mind

Betty Jones was a talker.
Had the whole town spun in her web.
Door to door she'd collect her prey.  Cunningly, she'd score on each stay.

In confidence, they'd all come clean
About some week old drama
or the fresh cooked steam.
And while she twisted
And plotted
and sewed
the lies and propaganda began to grow.

She became ever so greedy
with reputations held up in her fist
that she didn't seem to notice, really,   the deep hole they'd dug in her midst.

Shed thought she had it made,
her silky voice and her grin....
Thought she'd go on forever....
Until one day the did her in!

Betty Jones was a talker.
Had the whole town spun in her web.
Not thinking of the consequences.
She ended up dead.

“If you propose to speak, always ask yourself, is it true, is it necessary, is it kind?”

Sat at the hairdressers
Hearing the gossip
Relaxes a woman and her senses.

Nothing outside the door of the salon
matters.
Just the head massage, and gossip.

The world has stopped as her locks
are chopped.
If only a closed door could keep the world at bay.

But, the door will open,
the world will flood in
and with it, for next time, more gossip!

They say that the walls have ears;
a frightening concept to me
when I imagine all they must know.
These walls that hear the name
that I whisper in the dark,
These walls that silently stand by
each night my sobs fill the room.

And if walls could talk,
what of those impenetrable walls
surrounding my heart?
Would they blab every secret and insecurity,
would they speak of my worsening condition
to anyone willing to listen?

The small minded humor those seeking relief.
It’s all or nothing, with empty decisions.

Spreading smoldered fragments, these fucking lies.
It's quite the disease - the naive listeners.

Hurt and Bias hold our hands.

Simpleton Apr 2013

There are always some questions that you wish no one would ever ask you,
because you feel
guilt or shame
or just something else altogether that you can’t explain.

That realisation of hidden pain,
Nosy prying tongues with nothing to gain.
What, where, when, why, who?
I heard...Is it true?

You crave privacy,
For people to mind their own,
But it doesn't matter
Mouths will always chatter.

Spoken words
Have wings
Once they're set free
They're hard to catch
Reason being
We humans
Don't have
wings of our own

sainche micano Apr 2015

we pretend all day
so ashamed to say
that when..
the sun goes down
we find comfort
amidst our tongues
and weakened souls
..they shouldn't know
because we're great
and they'll shout
they'll gossip
but the more we hide
the easier we break
if no one knows
then we're not proud

i just don't know why i never say it out
