"gorgeous" poems
It's been nine years now. Nine years since the angels took you away. Nine years since I stood at the home, looking at your peaceful face; eyes closed, a ghost of a smile gracing your lips. It doesn't seem that long. It seems like yesterday you were calling me your little princess; I'm still that little girl at heart. The one who believed she would grow up to be a beautiful elegant contessa. I don't have many memories of the times we shared as I was only young when you passed. In fact, sometimes I struggle to picture your gorgeous, smiling face telling me stories of your past of advice for when I grew into an elegant older woman just like you were then. I was only 6... 6 years old and I had to go through the pain and heartache of having my nan cruelly taken away from me. I'll be 16 next year. I'll be having my prom next year. I will be leaving year 11, getting my GCSE results and starting A-levels next year. So much has happened in these 9 short, short years. There is so much more to come and you won't be here to share it with me. My graduation from university, my first career move, my marriage, my children... Your great-grandchildren. You won't be here for the good times, the bad...The happy and the sad... There are certain qualities about you that I will always remember... Being made banana sandwiches every time we went round to your house! Having a Sunday roast with you and Granddad every single week! Your 60th birthday (I knocked Zack down and felt so chuffed!) The last birthday you ever spent with me... You made my birthday cake that year... If I remember correctly, it was a princess castle with all the Disney princesses stood around it! You told me I deserved a cake because I was a beautiful princess also. I know you will be looking down on me and the family just to make sure we are alright! I just hope it's a smile on your face and not a frown! I hope I have made you proud nan... I really do. I hope you Rest In Peace nan and I will never forget you. Forever in our hearts and minds. 15/06/2004... We love you nan and always will. <3

You tell me I'm beautiful, pretty, gorgeous, But why? Because you are not tricking me, But only yourself, You think, "If I tell her she's beautiful, maybe I will grow to believe it too." Well sweetheart, it is working? You ignore the flaws of my body, my face, Only to deceive your own mind, Because if you saw my flaws you might no longer love me, You chose to ignore my acne, Because if you didn't, you're afraid you would leave, You chose to ignore my protruding chin when I smile, Because you wish you had someone who could smile sunlight rays, You chose to ignore the redness in my skin, Because you want to believe what matters is within, But is it working dear boy? The more you use the word beautiful, Does it make you any more confident being around someone who's not?

I am not beautiful
Pretty little iris ****** white sclera Despite those tempting lashes Her lies are getting clearer Come a little closer Squeeze a little tighter She's squinting a little thinner But her pupils are getting wider She wants your focus now Don't trust those golden eyes It only takes a little peek To fall for those gorgeous lies

These Eyes Tell Lies
She’s more fun when she is drunk At least…until she’s not Because she’s puking in the toilet And regretting her last shot She’s more confident when she’s drunk Gorgeous and ready to score Until she looks in a mirror And feels even uglier than before She likes herself more when she is drunk Until that feeling goes away When she is so far beyond gone That her self-hatred comes out to play She’s happier when she’s drunk All her issues leave her brain But they all come crashing back at once And cause her so much pain She likes the world more when drunk It’s filled with so much good Until one little thing sets her off And she hates it all more than she should She likes life more when she’s drunk Her mind for once feels still Terrified of losing that feeling She soon wants to end things with a pill But she can stop any time she wants Or so she’d have you believe Because alcohol makes her seem so happy That is, until all her friends leave

Crush
At times I heard the songs of the giants who opted to sing for a glass of wine! Like Omar Khayyam would sing to the grove of vine, while singing their lullabies they wouldn’t mind, defying the bloomer stars in the moonlights gladly treading on the black alleys of the night. Didn't they budge, didn't they bend to pick up   a potion of the sea, billowing in the dark? But they opted out, just for a glass of wine! To paint a glimpse of that gorgeous Saqi till now they shun, lending the sun a paintbrush, ‘cause "if only it was colourful enough,” yet the sun paints the enduring shades of the blue yonder. But they turned around—just for a glass of wine! The moon hanging low over the ocean took a pause. The earth weighed down so deep is brimful! Every sunrise paints new, loves to shine on once more That delved-deep earth vintage taste, cooled in age-old,   now close by the hands breathe in, full of warm south. Yet they opted out—just for a glass of wine! Even the time is speechless, ask me not but why. Still keeps an ear bent on the wall of the leaning sky.   Nor those who pop out with an inside scoop are ever drunk. Nor they leak out, it’s a sea off the sea or Abe-Hayath. It ain’t that small, it is the deathless spring of elixir!

For a Glass of Wine
My best friend is insanely gorgeous. However she refrains from seeing it. So I try to remind her everyday. She always finds a way to brighten my mood, Even when I'm crying; she helps me pull through. She's strong, and knows how to move on. But for some reason, she stays by my side. Through the fights, and the distance. I don't think she knows how much I appreciate her existence.

My Best Friend
There you are, standing in the hall with the moonlight cascading onto your skin, showing off the silhouette of your beautiful body. I curse the Moon because it gets to touch you first. As I try to control my inner desire, for one brief moment, I allow my mind to race in desire. Alas! I settled the discussion, I settled the debate and concluded at this one beautiful thing spoke your true fate:  'Gorgeous.' Gorgeous is your skin. Gorgeous is your smile. Gorgeous the way you walk.  Gorgeous when I hear you talk.  Gorgeous. (Wild thoughts) With my eyes I summoned you, laughing at the Moon as it is no longer kissing your beautiful skin. As I lay you down on the bed I slowly open your legs, I can already smell your nectar. I, like a hummingbird am drawn to your forbidden nectar, then for a brief moment I hear your heart skip a beat. I blow on your ******** now warm to the touch, you let out a soft moan 'ahhhh, love, don't stop'. With a smooth deep soft voice I uttered 'your wish will always be my command' I was truly wrapped in the moment.

Moment
Your beauty is like an exquisite flower Growing ontop of the highest mountain Peaking at the very height of its power Your Beauty is like Art To where all may see in awe Entering my heart You have not a single flaw Your beauty flows like a river Following the way of the stream Glowing slightest glimmer Only seen in our dreams Your beauty shines bright From whom we cannot wait Glistening in the moon light Meeting you was considered fate Your beauty makes us speechless Unable to say a word When we are with you, we are sleepless While we try to talk, it comes out slurred Your beauty cannot be described Words couldn't touch the surface This love I feel inside Never can I stop being nervous You are gorgeous in every single way Loving you will be my duty Unable to be kept away This... is... the... power... of... Your Beauty

*Your Beauty*
The child discarded in the storm was lost as lonesome sheep. The flowers in the garden there did bow their heads and weep. The tears that flowed did nurture and develop a perfect chrysalis. And as the morning mists did rise a fragile butterfly hit the skies. A magnificence of purple pause an emperor for a day. The sun came out, burned out all the pain of rain. The child smiled it's heart was made of joy. As once upon a time the child was born a boy. Glory and magnificence made magic from the raindrops craft. For now the gorgeous girl child, she lived, she loved, she laughed. (C) Livvi

YOU
dear you, i’m in love. yes. you were waiting, i bet, for this. this time, though, it is not what you would think. it’s me this time, not you, although it’s still you, but not in the way it used to be you. it’s my fault this time, my doing, my painful, pitiful, suffering. it’s you in the sense that i cannot control you. this time, it’s your mind and your thoughts the things that slip off of your tongue the words you put, pencil to paper the ideas that come out in your songs it’s your eyes and your sight the careful observation of beauty the need to bask in warm, pure light the stare you give me, rarely now it’s your movements and your touch the hugs where you grip my shoulders the times where i’m drunk and playing with your fingers the warmth you give off and your gorgeous smile none of them are mine to have, to take to keep, to love, to break i miss you and to go and detach to break what we have, that’s the hard way out. but i am trying to help me. i feel the same way i did when you said i was wrong about this. about how i feel. i’m hoping disposing myself of you, means that the dreams will go away too. but if they stay, i’ll give you a quick call. probably a text, to be honest. i love you, unhealthily, with every part of me. keep in touch, please. love, me.

a letter
Oh how calmly she sleeps, Carefree she always seems, Wish she gets sweet dreams. So glorious is her face always, I wish her all the happiness, All in the hue of brightness, None equals her cuteness. Oh hope never she weeps, Clarity she wears in deeps, With time get the -ve wiped, Such the cutest nature heaps, I'll be her guardian forever, At heart Atul is just a loner, Not just now - but forever. Only by respecting my love for her, A clear old identity is rediscovered, I'm known as Atul Kaushal for a cause, Singing hymns to my magical love, Ignoring all those distractions, And I am happy being with her, Nirvana comes just for us.

Gorgeous Sleeping Princess
Her lips like honey, The residue leaving me wanting more, Her eyes, so big, so bold, So beautifully brown, That smile that can shine Even on the darkest days, Her voice, so sweet, yet seductive, That shooting star, That 11:11 wish, She is my dream come true, On my wedding day, My gorgeous bride Will soon be mine, Sealed with a kiss, A commitment for life, I can’t wait for you To be my wife.

To my Fiance
# *I wander throught the works of art upon a gorgeous but cool day, Bewildered by the beauty (and the price they ask to pay). Paintings hang in canvas booths in styles of every kind. Statues, crafts and metalwork aesthetically designed Food and drink and music too a rousing, festive place. But oh my friends, the greatest art was smiles on every face. So many strangers mingling with a common goal to share To wit: a friendly greeting and goodwill enough to spare. Indeed, the day was perfect with weather cool and fine. But nothing tops a friendly smile in harmony with mine.* #

To All The Girls Who've Been Cheated On
Sometimes I wonder why I adore you. You probably wonder why I adore you too. Some people might say something like, It's because I like the way the light hits your face and your hair is perfect even on bad hair days. It's because you're so beautiful. Every inch of you is gorgeous. Your body is magic. I like when you put your hands in all the wrong places. You're the perfect height for me to kiss your forehead. That your lips are nice too, and you're a perfect kisser. That your smile is flawless. Or maybe it's really because, I relate to you better than anyone else on earth... You're beautiful on the inside. If I could only have you back in exchange for going blind... Every inch of you is gorgeous, but the person inside of you is what I can't let go of... Your mind is the real magic, you were never just a pretty face to me...though your face is very pretty. I like more when we had intellectual talks about things, so much more than the ****** That while I love the taste of your lips, I don't need them to survive... That I can see the pain behind your smiles, but I see the joy in the real ones too... I adore you because I love all of it. In one view, you are only a lover... In another view, you're the best friend I've ever had... I'd do anything to have you back in my life again... Back in my arms again... Because I'd take you as a sister if I had to... I'd stay away from your lips, though, I'd wrap you up in my arms, for you deserve the warmth, Because you deserve as many hugs as you can get...and I'd kiss you on the forehead because you mean something to me, and I'd pretend it's nothing more... I love you. I need you. I want you. I miss you. I'm sorry. I'll do anything. I'll climb mountains. I'll be waiting until the day I die for you. If only you would see... That I'd still come visit you When you're out on your own, Or someday when you're with your husband, That I'd hide all my pain, If you'd only let me back in... Because I love you. I love you with the kind of love I'll never be able to explain to you. I don't have to wonder why I adore you. I cherish you more than anything, for good reason. But you surely don't feel the way you used to, anymore.

The Insecurities are flourishing, A gorgeous garden is my mind— But the weeds keep growing in. Media like kryptonite—weakening my self esteem. —Thoughts of a young child never knowing what to believe. I lie awake in bed at night staring at the ceiling. If only the notion could suffice in finding the words— For the void I'm feeling in my life, But it isn't simple. Pure corruption of my mind, Perfect pictures, Flawless figures, The images I can't erase. Uncomfortable in my own skin— What do I do to feel safe? Do I drown myself in ink—to cover up the imperfections? Instead of talking—walk and let my skin scream the self-expression? Or do I return to the blank stare in the mirror? The words are on repeat. Who am I to think I’m beautiful—when I myself can’t see? Who am I to think I'm valuable—when there is no self-confidence there? Who am I to think I'm worthy—when I myself don't feel? The insecurities keep flourishing. A gorgeous garden was my mind, But the weeds kept growing in. Media like kryptonite—weakening my self esteem. Thoughts of a young child, --Never knowing what to believe. One night as I lie awake—I hear my subconscious scream out to me. The most attractive people do the ugliest of things, The true beauty you want is what’s imprisoned within. Why stop your happiness to return to a place— —A place where you feel so alone? Why do the tears flow? You're killing yourself— And you fail to realize Your own self-doubt is the knife! Pessimism, The negative thoughts building inside— They’re just as bad as the razorblade that kisses your skin as you sit in silence... Why are you hurting yourself? Temporary pain is only a distraction, You were blessed and shaped by the hands of God. What more could you possibly ask for? Appearance is not everything.— Stop the self-consciousness and live your life. —acknowledge that you —are your worst —enemy... I open my eyes. The cries have ceased, I return to the blank stare in the mirror. The words are on repeat. Who am I to think I’m beautiful—when I myself can’t see? Who am I to think I'm valuable—when there is no self-confidence there? Who am I to think I'm worthy—when I myself don't feel? But it’s different this time, My reflection speaks. Saying no— Who are you not to? Your imperfections are beautiful. Beautiful enough for the heart that is meant to love you, Believe in yourself. No more self doubt, No more lost soul. —No more insecurities flourishing, A gorgeous garden is my mind. No more weeds keep growing in, Media is not my kryptonite, No more weakening of my self esteem, Thoughts of a young child finally unshackled —and free.

The Lake
I wish I could give you this beautiful pain    Its captivating to endure         To watch it unfold inch by unbeatable inch             Its long                  Makes you hard and callous And makes you grovel in gravel begging for the end      And it becomes a road           A winding, twisting road that wraps around your throat       A gorgeous asphyxiation blurs the smiles of the passengers in the cars on the asphalt                 And you blur into unreality          The road ends    The film in your head stops And your left sitting unblinkingly...

She is A Queen She's something special, similar to a candy coated dream. The God in her will sooth you soul as if you were Listening To the sound of the rushing river Streams Her spirit Shines brighter than a car's high Beams. Her love is sweeter than brown sugar And Me oh my she is Looker Her big chestnut sultry eyes reveals the beauty of Her soul inside. I can just smell the aroma of her Shea butter and coconut fragranced skin as it glows due to her internal flame shinning within. Cocoa Brown is the color of her melanated Bronze complexion. Man, her smile drives me wild. That luminous smile, her glorious smile, is as gorgeous as the clouds when she shows her pearly whites. It brightens my day like a lamp in the darkness of the night. And her mind Is a secret treasure That only her King Can discover and uncover the bountiful mountains he'll climb. She's Artistic and Musically Inclined And at the drop of a dime shell bust out in A poetic rhyme And her words, Gosh her blissfully profoundly spoken words, will send chills up your spine She's My own little personal ray of sunshine Radiating truth and her words are so kind She's simply divine She's a peacemaker staying serene From the inside out she is a beautiful Human being She's good for your mental hygiene Kinda like how your body needs protein. Royalty is embedded in DNA gene And her crown is made of lustrous flowing locks shining like oil sheen. She is Royalty, She's My sister from another Mister, She is an Unshaken, Strong, melanized Beautiful Queen.

Little Birds are dining Warily and well, Hid in mossy cell: Hid, I say, by waiters Gorgeous in their gaiters - I've a Tale to tell. Little Birds are feeding Justices with jam, Rich in frizzled ham: Rich, I say, in oysters Haunting shady cloisters - That is what I am. Little Birds are teaching Tigresses to smile, Innocent of guile: Smile, I say, not smirkle - Mouth a semicircle, That's the proper style! Little Birds are sleeping All among the pins, Where the loser wins: Where, I say, he sneezes When and how he pleases - So the Tale begins. Little Birds are writing Interesting books, To be read by cooks: Read, I say, not roasted - Letterpress, when toasted, Loses its good looks. Little Birds are playing Bagpipes on the shore, Where the tourists snore: "Thanks!" they cry. "'Tis thrilling! Take, oh take this shilling! Let us have no more!" Little Birds are bathing Crocodiles in cream, Like a happy dream: Like, but not so lasting - Crocodiles, when fasting, Are not all they seem! Little Birds are choking Baronets with bun, Taught to fire a gun: Taught, I say, to splinter Salmon in the winter - Merely for the fun. Little Birds are hiding Crimes in carpet-bags, Blessed by happy stags: Blessed, I say, though beaten - Since our friends are eaten When the memory flags. Little Birds are tasting Gratitude and gold, Pale with sudden cold: Pale, I say, and wrinkled - When the bells have tinkled, And the Tale is told.

Society sells beautiful lies, Emphasis on the beautiful, They sell you the definition of beauty in small pictures, small ads, small sizes. Spinning the world on a string, They've got us all fooled. Telling teens they don't need to eat, "Skip the food today, be beautiful tomorrow". Selling the idea that beauty can replace sorrows. Society sells the idea that beauty is empowerment. Society sells the idea that if you are beautiful, then you could have the world on a string. These lies lead our leaders of tomorrow into disarray. Sell us the idea that if we are beautiful today will be better than yesterday. But the empty promises lead us all astray, Abandoned on street corners begging for scraps, because we didn't think we felt empowerment. Society sells small, Society sells beauty, Society sells small. Small models, Small manikins, Small sizes. Spinning the world on a string, Society sells the idea that the size of your waist, defines how beautiful you are. Society sells the idea that beauty is empowerment. Society sells small. Society sells the idea that if you are not small, you are not **empowered, ugly, waste of space.** Society sells small. Society says beauty is empowerment. These lies lead our leaders of tomorrow into disarray, Too many teens today are to prone to facings their problems with razor blades, Because today was not better than yesterday. Then tomorrow won't be either. Society sells small, small pictures, small ads, small manikins. Society sells protruding plastic ribs, ribs sharp enough to cut paper. Society sells the figures of the sick and dying. Society sells small. Small enough to be drop dead gorgeous, Emphasis on the drop dead, Society sells women who are severely underfed. Society sells women suffering from malnutrition. Since when did this become tradition? Since when was fragile stature empowering? Society sells skin and bones. Society sells so small, women are literally dying to feel beautiful.

In the Midnight heaven's burning Through the ethereal deeps afar Once I watch'd with restless yearning An alluring aureate star; Ev'ry eve aloft returning Gleaming nigh the Arctic Car. Mystic waves of beauty blended With the gorgeous golden rays Phantasies of bliss descended In a myrrh'd Elysian haze. In the lyre-born chords extended Harmonies of Lydian lays. And (thought I) lies scenes of pleasure, Where the free and blessed dwell, And each moment bears a treasure, Freighted with the lotos-spell, And there floats a liquid measure From the lute of Israfel. There (I told myself) were shining Worlds of happiness unknown, Peace and Innocence entwining By the Crowned Virtue's throne; Men of light, their thoughts refining Purer, fairer, than my own. Thus I mus'd when o'er the vision Crept a red delirious change; Hope dissolving to derision, Beauty to distortion strange; Hymnic chords in weird collision, Spectral sights in endless range…. Crimson burn'd the star of madness As behind the beams I peer'd; All was woe that seem'd but gladness Ere my gaze with Truth was sear'd; Cacodaemons, mir'd with madness, Through the fever'd flick'ring leer'd…. Now I know the fiendish fable The the golden glitter bore; Now I shun the spangled sable That I watch'd and lov'd before; But the horror, set and stable, Haunts my soul forevermore!
