Shamans, in an attempt to find a word that all cultures could understand, to represent, universally, the subject; married the languages by root. Each attribute or thing that the beast is said to do, have or have power to do or over is found as a definition in a language of the individual roots. Take Sanskrit for instance. "Dra," is "water and combine it with Sumerian, "Gun, Gon," and you get a "water-born," beast who "writhes, twists or wraps around," which is the Ouroboros Serpent as shown in ancient images. The secret to all ancient myth or religion is in interpretation of language into foreign languages over time. And, yes, it is very creative, appears complex due to time but is just humans trying to describe observable nature. None of it is meant to be taken literally unless you literally live six thousand years ago and speak in an ancient tongue. Addendum * Keltic, "Con, Kon," makes the Dragon, "All-knowing." * And we know from Plato that Greeks stole their root words from the Celts. Plato's own words in, 'The Cratylus.'

can you see Pride’s face? can you see the pride in Pride’s face? boastful & frivolous. Pride’s intentions are not of good will. Pride just destroyed a home. Pride just stabbed a friend in the back. Pride ended a life-long friendship. Pride just ended a simple argument. he is a disease. humans are afraid of him. can you see the pride in pride’s face? can you see the bad he creates? can you see all the lives he took? Pride is a crook. he breaks into the windows of your spirit and steals all the gold. that gold is your happiness. Pride is a weapon. anything in his way is destroyed. Pride doesn’t have emotions. Pride can make you insane. but Pride has an enemy. Pride has a cure. Humility. Humility is Pride’s balance. Humility can heal wounds. he is spirited & can bring people together. Humility is a weapon, a weapon of peace. he is a conqueror. Humility is Pride’s balance. can you see Humility’s face? can you feel Humility’s embrace? when are we starting to be humble? when are gon’ respect each other? can you see the pride in Pride’s face? Pride cares about no one but himself. Humility cares for everyone & himself. Teddy Bear Tribe.

Can You See Pride's Face?
I walk inside, and you turn to gimme a look, Look who's talkin', homie, why YOU with your holy book? I walk with pride, with dignity, I feel like I deserve it, You think I'm full with violence, but where's that in my worship? Jesus brought the bible, Moses brought the Torah, and Muhammad brought the Qur'an, All those came from Allah. I know one day you'll realize, the truth was in the Qur'an, But by then... It'll be too late, Imagine what you'll have to face, Your punishment, in the grave, That even the, snakes will hate, But then they gotta tell you, you really deserve it, And you still  say, that I'm talking B.S, You make me shut up, just because of what I say, But who'll go with you, in your grave, You won't be able to blame your mistakes on those who just faked, Did I not tell you, you were getting tricked? Your ribcage will tighten, All the people 'ready left, Why would they care, of the punishment you gotta face? This is just an intro, My friend: listen to what I gotta say, Hell will come into view, Screamin'; You wouldn't have deserved this, All you had to do was just worship, All you had to do, was show Allah he deserves it, All the love and respect, you just had to show it, Not believe those who said, religion don't deserve it, You said you're not an Atheist, or an Agnostic, You said you're not a Christian, why didn't you become a Muslim? All the things I told you, were for this day to come, I wanted to make you, somehow convert to Islam. Tell me: Do you crave that punishment? Then why the hell you ain't gon' listen? All I want is best for you, you just gotta pay attention, You call for me, I can't do one thin', You ain't callin' him, who gave you everythin', Homie, this ain't a fantasy, You can't go back in time, You can't fix all those things, You just said you had no time, To worship him who created you, But when I say this to you, you think that I'm insane, Pray for your next life, not your worldly fame, They came with the message, but you never accept it, you said you don't need it, But now you'd say you believed it, All you had to do was just worship, but now you don't deserve it, Don't tell me I never told you: Just become a Muslim, All those years I tried, told you, you really deserve it, Now you're shredding tears only full of blood,, Told you they ain't Islam, they were just F'N up, Told you I was peace, now what you gon' do, I always only wished, for what was best for you,   Violence is not Islam, Terrorists are not Muslims, All they wanna do, is use up all their bullets, Keep calm, 'cause I'm a Muslim, not a terrorist, Hurry up, it ain't too late, look into Islam, 'Cause I know, you don't deserve ir, You're so lucky, you have the truth in front of you, You just outta accept it.

How could you leave me so unexpected? I was waiting, I was waiting For you but you just left me I needed you, I needed you Yo, I don't know what it's like to be addicted to ***** But I do know what it's like to be a witness it kills You told me you love me, I'm thinking this isn't real I think of you when I get a whiff of that cigarette smell, yeah Welcome to the bottom of hell They say pain is a prison, let me out of my cell You say you proud of me, but you don't know me that well Sit in my room, tears running down my face and I yell Into my pillowcases, you say you coming to get me Then call me a minute later just to tell me you not, I'm humiliated I'm in a room with a parent that I don't barely know Some lady in the corner watching us, while she taking notes I don't get it dad, don't you want to watch your baby boy grow? I guess that ***** is more important, all you have to say is no But you won't do it will you? You gon' keep drinking 'til the ***** kills you I know you gone but I can still feel you Why would you leave me? Why would you leave me here? How could you leave me here? How would you leave me? Why would you leave me? Oh, Hey I got this picture in my room and it kills me But I don't need a picture of my dad, I need the real thing Now a relationship is something we won't ever have Why do I feel like I lost something that I never had? You shoulda been there when I graduated Told me you love me and congratulations Instead you left me at the window waiting Where you at dad? I was too young to understand where you at huh? Yeah, I know that alcohol  got you held captive I can see it in your eyes, its got your mind captured Some say it's fun to get the high but I am not laughing What you don't realise and what you not grasping That I was nothing but a kid who couldn't understand I ain't gon' say that I forgive you cause it hasn't happened I thought that maybe I feel better as time passes If you really cared for me, then where you at then? Why would you leave me? Why would you leave me? How could you leave me here? How would you leave me? Why would you leave me? Hey Our last conversation, you and I sat in the living room Playing our video games, you started slurring and I broke down in front of you You started crying, telling me this isn't you Couple weeks later, guess you were singing a different tune You Drank that ***** for the last time, didn't you? It took you from me once, guess It came back to finish you Crying my eyes out in the studio is difficult Music is the only place that I can go to speak to you It took everything inside of me to not scream at your funeral Sitting in my chair, that person talking was pitiful I wish you were here dad but every time I picture you All I feel is pain, I hate the way I remember you They found you on the floor, I could tell that you felt hollow Gave everything you had plus your life to those jack bottles You gave everything you had plus your life to them jack bottles Don't know if you hear me or not, but if you still watching why Why would you leave me? Why would you leave me? How could you leave me here? How would you leave me? Why would you leave me? Hey

“you ain’t a man until you’re given a gun.” he said. but I knew better. giving a boy a gun doesn’t make him a man. it makes him a boy with a gun. my hands were made for pens, not glocks. I told him his were too. he laughed and said, “nah, my hands are made the same as every other boy on this block. you cut off my finger, it’s still gon’ bleed.” I tried to argue but he said, “these hands steal **** money, jewelry, clothes. hell, these hands steal lives!” and he was right about that. he had the same dirt on his hands that any other boy around here had. still, I think his hands were made for pens, not glocks. maybe he would’ve picked up a pencil if his hands hadn’t gotten so used to holding a gun. he was nineteen. he was young and angry and ready to fight, and he didn’t know exactly why, but he knew he had to be. the streets here are where people disappear when it gets dark, and where no one asks questions when the sun comes up. there are no flowers growing next to the sidewalk. here, there are bags of crack and gold chains and Cuban cigars. there are plants here, but no flowers. I was taught that here, they don’t follow laws, but they need to follow rules. most rules here are unwritten. instead, they are ingrained into the street’s children, a mantra that you could die for not remembering. he said, “if I die, it’s gon’ be sprawled out on concrete. no way I’m going down without a fight.” here, they are still fighting wars that ended years ago everywhere else. here, they grow up without mothers and fathers. they learn to feed themselves as soon as they no longer need a baby bottle. here, it is strange to not join in on the violence. it is strange to not participate in drive-by shootings. it is strange to not want revenge. here, strange is dangerous. things are the way that they are and this is the way they have always been. here, he was any other nineteen-year-old boy. here, they would say he died naturally. he stepped a little too far into view and a bullet struck him in the right spot. or the wrong spot, depending on how you see it. quick and almost painless for him, but that hurt moved on to everyone else. here, there are no rights and no wrongs. things are not good or bad. things simply are. his mama sobbed when she heard what happened. she cried for him, but also for every other boy on the block. she cried for the boy who ended her son’s life, because she knew he wasn’t any different than any other boy here. she cried for all the mothers who lost their sons, and for all the children born into this life. here, they don’t have to die for you to lose them. this life takes them from you, dead or alive. he was a friend, and a brother, and a son. he could’ve been a writer, or an athlete, or a ******* astronaut for all I know. but in the end, he was only a boy with a gun. here, they call that a man.

I used to be grateful for many things but not for everything. I was self taught to take every lost I had on the chin. Before there was an “all ten.” “Many men.” I had dark days, felt like I wouldn’t win again. Learned blessings and lessons, I bought it all in. Investing on myself so I’m not giving in. Told my daddy we gon eat good again. After I return again, I might have to sin. So I cry that I’m grateful for everything. Cry for my block because we never got one ring. I stayed in the trap but in my head still heaven sings. So I’ll remain grateful. Thank God that my plate’s full. My past life distasteful. Running fast like sonic, not understanding getting rings. God showed me I can come from many things. He pulled me up said, I can’t go for anything. Even though my plate’s full, I stopped complaining because I’m grateful. Even though my plate’s full, I realized it’s everything that I’ve prayed for. Be careful what you wish for. Even when I return, I’m grateful. Died once, I’m grateful. Past life, distasteful. Til I return, I’m grateful.

Press Play It's about time that I got into the action, A little bit of flawless and now we got traction. Player one and I'm feeling like a MC, Onto the next arc with new opportunities. RGB, I'm gonna light up the industry, Fresh new world, yeah that **** was built into me. Yeah, I'm not one to come and act all cynical, I got a crew behind me, Repping art so lyrical. So, this wasn't a miracle, We put in the work, Now we headed past the pinnacle. And this is just the prologue, Just the beginning. Even though we been at it, We gon' keep on winning. Look out for name on the web, And here's where I said. So, when they picturize my story They'll know I meant it.

There's nothing like running your fingers through wheat as you take a footpath through the farmer's field especially in the dead of night when the silence speaks volumes Though I wouldn't know 'cus I'm a city boy I always say a life better lived on the road less travelled clearly wasn't for me Cloudy days and cloudy apple cider go hand in hand with hand rolled cigarettes and unread messages and a qwerty keyboard Things are gon' get better things better get gone have I neglected my writing or has my writing neglected me Thoughts are just electricity surging through your brain tiny little electrical impulses molecules and whooshy stuff I could do with some of that

"Great Scott" Like Lucas and Nathan Y'all ain't perfect but you're trying Relying on something other than your name to take you far... You're a star But let you shine diminish as each person you thought you were close to, Tarnishes what you hold dear No fear sweetheart, No fear Claim what is yours Speak loudly and proudly So that the haters hear Let them know you're here And that nothing can stop you... --- Back to the drawing board Or better yet back to this blank canvas familiar and inviting and yet I can’t help but wonder how these words will create an image I guess there ain’t no better way to find out but to move onward --- How ‘bout we search for some meaning A little substance from the soul I mean maybe I can’t sing but I bet you gon’ feel this I’m just tryna be the realest give my people something relatable and also a fragment of me writing about what I see or what might be the hopes and dreams of a child in this restless city gazing upon the night sky pondering on his life’s importance in comparison to the billions of stars that shine bright could he possibly one day emit light? give direction to those who might’ve lost sight could he scheme up a dream as big as Martin did and if so, would he reach the masses? because lord knows in the days we live in we need hope but how does one cope when hundreds of thousands of lives are being taken by dope or foots of rope we’ve lost our way a country that once proclaimed to be best now stands on its last legs and the people we elect to govern us continue to dig us deeper into this hole have we nothing left to show?

OluwaFisayomi my inamorata If ever two were one, then surely we are. If ever I love you dreamboat, yes I am’ I prized my love more than the whole mines of gold, And all the wealth that the rich does hold’ My love is such that rivers cannot quench, Nor like a recommended lens’ Our love for each other is clear, that no man can repay. The heavens reward our truthfulness, I pray. Then while we live in love let’s serve God, That when we live no more, we live forever up’ Where are the stars that show us to our love, And we gon’ live our whole young old lives away In the joys of a living God’ Your body and soul are divine, With a lovely fragrant with heavenly wine’ So kiss me Temi with your cold dry lips, So I can hold you tight and sing you hymns’ Not what you think, but give me the love that so free please’ To my one and honey dreamboat

**** that **** This is poetry now. Can you say it isn’t real? Can you say my lowbrow barbaric mind doesn’t express itself? Can you tell me these words aren’t art? **** that. This outcry is whats comin next. Them burnt cars and bullet scars, ***** boots and tittie bars, forget to bathe, **** the shave, my pillow case is made of pave-ment, twenty years late on that first pay-ment. I asked the question but got delay-ment, on what the **** has this all meant? My colours just distract, them smiles just an act- you think I’m tokin and ******* and happy go-lucking, ***** im drowning in the bills I haven’t even seen yet, throwin off the debts as the horse that rolls the best bet, and don’t forget, every second you lay down to lie them eyes and theorize, youre just getten burglarized, want a burger and fries? Twenty years off your life- oh and the change too. Twenty seven ninety-five, thirteen plus the years I’ll spend, locked up with nothing to tend, no garden, no fruit, no love to loot, no wide eyes to fill and no breeze to shoot, just a chain gain filling my ***** with soot, stabbing by the next poor guy, jabbing by that suit and tie, the key is not to fit it right- so that every turn reminds who you belong to. And this is what I wanna do? Hold up- I pay for that **** Now I understand suicide you nihilistic gits, taking hits while the rest picks up the bits and the red runs the slits but no one sees the slip. Topsy turvy sliding down the grassy knoll, the heads tumble but the dough will never roll. No. Its busy ******* me in, me and my ilk, like me too much an *** to be thankful for robes of silk, mommy’s milk, eleventh hours and the stockpiles of the dowry. Soft as a baby, never ****** on the sour but the sweet, pink feet, earned on thin green sheet and the red as the man is beat, beaten and burned, turned spurned despite his age and whats learned. What is learned? If only I could tell you. We’s on the same track , don’t ask me whats gon spell true.

Ambitious Girl: Consider this my reiteration. I wanna read your books, and not just your looks. Knowing what you look like ; I wanna be in your space - but not so much that I interfere with your education. Let me say this, Congratulations on being the very best you could ever be. Putting priorities over everything, Miss couldn't get that coach cause tuition was due. & sallie was nagging for a payback. Sallie was nagging for a payback. And you paid that, plus tax. Miss made so many friends stepping with the sisters. whatever it is, I hope you pledge an existence that'll make your existence, persistent. Forever my queen, say you're listening... Look, I'm still talking . You love school but you're sick of Sally maybes . No *** , you're the lucky one because all your friends have babies. And you ain't slept , up thinking , tomorrow's that big test . Few of your friends stripping you don't judge em' though. You're insecure with your body so you like "forget it yo!" So, I put you on that pedestal, Girl I'm just saying your work ethic makes you edible. Me a freak? That's something that they will never know. Look, you're something they can never see; You overpower anything them other girls could ever be. Go ahead and prepare for class, hit me when you finish up. It's never too late, we'll celebrate soon as the grades come. Shout to them girls in the club with no relations between their professors . Yes sir, I propose a toast to them girls - that you offer them ones but they never let you. I love your ambition. Okay, shout out to them 4.0s and even 2.5s ; who signed up & failed but say "whatever , I tried." It's nothing to deny for having a strong mind, I'll make sure to keep you in mind. You're still someone I can ride with; dress up & get fly with. It's still something you provide , you never hide , that makes me wanna get inside . Look, ambition will define you, never worry about them hating chicks that wish to be just like you. My goal is to serenade you everyday with these verses until you no longer insecure, obscure and hurting . They gon know you; Chasing your dreams, instead of chasing what's in a dudes' jeans. And God blessed me with a lot of patience , but I ain't had none in a while - I need your AS(S)pirations . I love your aspirations! Ambitious Girl... Fourth generation.

My goal is to serenade you everyday with these verses until you no longer insecure, obscure and hurting . They gon know you; Chasing your dreams, instead of chasing what's in a dudes' jeans. If I told you I killed myself at 16 would you believe me? Or just say "young Dougie is just miss behaving" slaving, as I am chained and serving society who is caving, and ask god for gifts that even he found entertaining...when a boy grows up his insides start changing and the tint of red in his heart dims and starts fading, he felt pain at its highest, experienced the attitude of a liar and seen 1st hand what it means when a "GOOD THING" just expires. He grows tired and tense while blood drips from his hand, broken glass on the floor... he punched the reflection of a man… who seems injustice and corrupt, always pushin his luck, and remains silent when addressed, he so easily erupts. Takin shots of big dreams with NyQuil in a cup, "good" imaginative girls around him, he's just too messed up...liquor doesn't help his mind, still stuck in a rut, and the shakes only means his temperatures gon up. You see the high in his eyes, where he constantly lies, never looks you in the face, just looks on the other side, one of a kind guy, never been a afraid to die, don't ask this guy why? Cause he will never reply. Communication he never lacked, he just speaks better over a track, Give him a pen, white paper, A smooth beat and watch him rap. And listen closely to his story, pay close attention to the facts, visualize all his words, And dissect his true meaning Of a brain dead poet who uses his pen filled of integrity with a pad made of dreaming. *Don't ask me to save your soul, or rescue your burning heart from a building... I'm no superhero, just a modern day fake EVIL villain...* -Dougie Simps

Haters Gon' Hate
Now sit there, just a minute, hold on, hear my tale for just a minute. One of humanity, sincerity, tragedy Of when I was there, live from the square. Jackson Square. Not the one of Coin Coin, the Nevilles, the Toussaints, Allen or L’Overture. This is one of a momma and her baby in 2008. Three years, three years, three years after the flood, three years after the storm. Let me paint you a picture of Orleans as it stood one day in 2008 as it stands today. 2008, NewOrleans: What happens here, no one will remember in the morning. The buskers, the tunes, why, even the voodoos get the blues. Walking towards Bourbon The lights, the sin, the history New Orleans, where life ain't so easy. There’s a family down there who don't survive so peacefully. You can see them if you walk down Canal St., leisurely. There, sleeping on the courthouse stairs, A mother and her child who own only the clothes they wear. The boy was young, elementary-aged Curious too, I could hear him ask questions: "Mama, why don't we got food?" And her reply, "Son, that's just the way it is, life's just hard for me and you." Sitting there on the courthouse stairs. I take my place on the opposite side of the stoop, Watching the crowds go by. The women in their high-heeled shoes The men with their shirts half-open. Grenades in hand, ***** in the blood, Pockets full of cash and hearts full of lust New Orleans What happens there, no one will remember come morning. The buskers, the tunes, why, even the voodoos get the blues. There’s a family on vacation there In such a sinful city, a family. White, middle-class, suburban, all too WASP-y. mom, dad, a daughter and a son, elementary aged, with a pop in his cheerful step, On the way to a nice restaurant gon’ eat crawfish, gator, red beans and rice, jambalaya. They’ll forget to tip the waiter. New Orleans, What happens here, no one will remember come morning. That happy family, walking down Canal St. Like walking out the gates of hell Where the lost souls sit on the stairs Begging for something, anything at all The happy family had ‘bout reached the courthouse when the young boy asked "Daddy, why don't they have any food?" His father covered his son’s eyes with his white hand and replied, "Here son, let's go and find a toy for you to buy." And the kid shrank after seeing this mom and her son His innocent eyes died and he said, "I don't want a toy. I don't want anything" They walked on by, the happy boys' head turned the whole time, those eyes. Stuck on the family that was stuck on the stairs Mom dad, a daughter and a son, Elementary-aged with a slump in his sunken step. Now, in my mind I wonder: was it more monumental that my life changed or that a had life changed before my eyes New Orleans, two thousand and eight. New Orleans, today, what happens there, no one will remember come morning.
