"glycogen" poems
Oh mighty powerhouse and largest gland Snug in the abdominal cavity Though few thy function fully understand Should praise thee with the utmost gravity Three pounds thy weight, but worth thy weight in gold Four precious lobes through portal fissure fed Tiny lobules in hexagonal mould Each one formed by cuboidal cells widespread Arranged in columns round a central aisle Converting glucose into glycogen Form plasma proteins and essential bile, A, D,  prothrombin and fibrinogen De-aminates the protein that we eat De-saturates the fat, produces heat

Sonnet CLIV ~ The Liver
I'm chainsmoking your breath Filling my lungs with your oxygen I'm kissing your sweat Using your body fluids like glycogen I'm tasting your skin My lips exploring every inch of you I see your beauty within I feel **** when seen from your view I'm dressed in your shadow When you meet my body from behind Everytime you have to go I wanna hit pause and then rewind As soon as we're uncovered I know we'll both be wetter I love being your lover When our bodies snare together

I love, regardless Loving feels complete and not to love feels empty Joy is a place to be surmounted, not by the faint of heart Caring is an action, that depletes all sources of glycogen and various energy sugars It makes me and you strong Do not give up use your energy stores
