"glows" poems
Your flame glows And flame throws Insane vibes Than makes my viens flow My body over heats To temperatures Celsius unknown   our bodies taking measures Heighten pleasures Too bad to be a miracle Too good to be forgotten Memories clone Yet, it's heaven sent by principle Our bodies quake with sensations Unbelievable Reaching heights without ****** unachievable Take loving making to the next decimal Feeding our appetites until we are plenty full And our eruptions stop exploding And we lay there motionlessly stile Calm as a lonely lake as satisfied as ice is chill Cooling each other down like the wind does the sun Looking at each other like our work here is done

The Sun shines, the fog blinds, together they make, a rainbow in the sky. The Moon stares, into a lake, and wonders why, he's a big mistake. Why can't he be the Sun, and light up the day. Why can't he be the one, to make the bad go away. Why can't he be the light, that brightens everyones day. Instead he sits in the night, wishing the Sun would go away. The Moon glows, the stars show, a pattern of love, that lights the Earth below. To himself, the Sun confides, that he wishes, he controlled the tides. Why can't he be the Moon, and turn darkness into light. Why can't he be the one, to light up the great night. Why can't he have the grace, of being with the stars. Instead he sits up in space, wishing he could take his place. But what they both don't know is, they need each other. What they both don't know is, that they are brothers. We live in jealousy, envying each other. Please, just be thankful, and happy for others. The Sun needs the Moon, to keep the night lit bright. The Moon needs the Sun, to produce his shining light. The Sun needs the Moon, and the Moon needs the Sun. If they work together, they can be one. If they work together, they can be one. if they work together, they will be one. If we work together, we could be one. If we work together, we will be one.

Friendship isn’t about being liked It isn’t about being invited to that party It isn’t about being picked first in gym class It isn’t about being popular Friendship is about having that shoulder to cry on when you’re not invited When you’re picked last When you’re sitting alone at lunch It’s about having that person who lets you be you Who makes you feel good                                           loved                                                    proud Therefore friendship isn’t about just anyone to me It’s about one It’s about one girl who makes me feel all these things Who makes me feel good                                        loved                                               proud It’s about one girl who is always there for me Who makes me smile every morning Who makes me want to be better but still makes me happy to be me It’s about my best friend But it’s not about how we’re best friends, anyone could be It’s about the million little things, that no one could be but her It’s about the way she’s always happy to see me It’s about the way she laughs with me when everyone else stares It’s about how when she smiles, she glows and it’s contagious It’s about the way she just is, and how it makes me Everything about her, the million little things that make her up That is what our friendship is to me That’s what friendship is It’s love.

The darker the berry the sweeter the seeds plant them because you sow what you reap. My skin is magical you see...for I am a special kind of breed. When I'm in the sun my melanin boils, plus heat is good for my ***** coils. A shade darker I've just became... From honey brown to a cocoa shade. Time to untwist my bantu knots and free my natural fro. The curly crown of victory as my melanin glows. I strut through the grasslands in tune with my inner goddess. My legs are thick and long, so now its time to flaunt this. shaking my hair from left to right & pump my fist in the air. Wish I was alive in the civil rights, but then I wouldn't be hear. People they envy my complexion, they wish they had my perfection. But honestly you can't hate on something God gave. Melanin queen, you reign in the lands. Zion queen, lets do a foreign dance. Melanin runs within my veins and pores. Melanin I love to be, I'm wading in the shores.

Melanin
When the darkness comes. I will be waiting for it. With my eyes open wide. With my soul still pure. And with my soul still intact. I will fight with pride. With no going back. I will try not to fall. I will stand my ground. Never bow down my head. Let the darkness engulf me. For my lady's light glows. Her love gives me strength. Against the impossible odds. Showing me the way.

When The Darkness Comes
i had a thought. i ran out of my room, down the hallway, and into the bathroom. i wriggled out of my worn down, tie dye shirt. hopping up and down as i pull off my high-waisted jeans, pulling my pant leg with my foot as i trample the dark denim to the ground. i stand there naked, in front of the harsh, full length mirror. combing my fingers through my natural, wavy hair. i contort my face in disgust, cocking my head slightly to the side. i close my eyes, and take one deep breath in. when i open my eyes, the reflection staring back at me is a thin, natural beauty. Her smooth ivory skin glows in the silvery reflective glass. Her stomach is flat and toned. Her ******* lay on Her chest in perfect proportion to the rest of her petite frame. i run my fingers down the sides of my body. my palms trailing along, dipping and rising with the mounds beneath my skin. i close my eyes and open them again, this time taking my reflection for what it really is. i am fat. my skin is pink and spotted with freckles the colour of blood. my stomach hangs low, covering the part a man should see when i'm naked. my ******* are big. but not in the way you'd like them to be. they lay there, sort of lop-sided. hanging just above my ribs. Another place for fat to take over. the cuts on my thighs are hardly noticable next to all that fat i can see tears in the eyes of the reflection staring back at me, but i am numb. i thought correctly. i am fat. i am ugly. Nobody in their right mind would want to love me.

She is raw like cacao Carries a smell of cinnamon and honey Natural brown eumelanin skin Everyone judges not knowing what's within Sweet like honey, She cures any emptiness carried in a man Mix her with sunshine And she glows within Beautiful big brown eyes No one ever takes the time to notice her People only falsely label her and lack realization That she's the most beautiful and radiant brown skinned girl Sweet like honey Beautiful brown girl Never lose your fire Even when the sun may not shine, you'll still always blind them - Henessy J. Honey + Melanin
Does my blackness offend you? Is my hair too curly for you? Are my hips too wide for you? My dark brown skin glows with all the melanin I have been gifted with. My lucious thick hair is filled with curls that bounce with every stride I take forward, away from oppression. My hips sway perfectly with the drums beating in the air of the Mother land. Does my athletism bother you? Is my intelligence too much for you? Are my people beneath you? My athletic feats have been studied by generations of white Americans who have hoped to find an extra ligament in my leg. My intelligence has been the reason for many inventions all over the world. My people will rise above , always have , always will. My people will be given justice where it's due. My people will be heard , just like the drums from the Mother land.

His guitar glows, Like endless flow, Of glittering stars, Late at night. Dance my heart, In ecstasy, Caress me, With his melody divine, My heart beats in tempo. A rapture love, Of eternal bliss, ****** me, For the night, And take me deeper, To the endless flow, Of glittering stars.

The Stars in The Guitar
They say, The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain But I blame, in vain, the rain for the insane, you see This plain pain hasn't the same name, nor the same game For the rain's pain is the same sane as they claim And since the pain's shame resides mainly in Spain, Neither the rain nor Spain is to blame for the insane, so now This sane can claim the uneven plane's plain's the name to blame But the strife of life is held under the knife of a wife Where strife runs rife throughout the wife's life The knife, learning from the fife, plays with the life While the fife excites life, the knife excites strife The wife with the knife is at fault, fact or fake? Is the knife to blame for the strife of the wife's life? Or the fife for teaching the knife to play with strife? This just goes to show that no one knows the real rose For the rose, in it's thorny clothes, just shows the nose The smell, a pose, so close, tingles the nose till it glows But the finger, too close, chose to trust the nose's prose Blame the rose who proposed the show and showed the pose? Or the nose, whose clothes glowed from the smell of the rose? The finger couldn't 'ave known the true pose of prose from the rose to the nose.

Rain in Spain
Drifting back to the ocean like it never even happened unraveled dreams washed clean crystalline renaissance bestowed     by wind mountain spring waters rising from the heart of mother earth A remnant light glows deeply of one love's untamed wonders an unfastened feather glides abandoned rushing waters floating alighting pilgrim blissfully sails on stranded without wings a fallen wild feather free as bird wanting a place to be let free Sun in the summer air wind in buoyant feathered hair softly dancing upon wild river restless ripples to feel the love of holding on adrift asunder whence it touched on destiny's far-reaching journey yonder holding onto flowing rivers rolling towards the sea The incoming tidal waters blossom surge to greet wind river's gentle saunter converging slackening passage salt on feral feathered fragments arousing currents babbling swirl imbibed by the impassioned sea Wild rivers' born intentions a different kind of drifting passage to kiss the distant horizon where the sown sunlight settles submerged in shoreless ocean waters     to be free all at sea at last someone you used to know  2017

It's only water
she put my heart in a jar. wait here until i return, she said. i waited two forevers for her to open it, my heart was suffocating. i was drowning in her memories, her eyes danced like fireflies in the moonlight. timeless passion. she is my flower child. flawless. my heart is in a cage, solitude sedates me. i recall memories we never had or maybe it was visions of a future we will have? i sit down with a notepad and admire your movement. i pen down my studies, and try to understand your complexity. your face glows, your waist flows. like the beautiful Victoria Falls, African queen. i digress, you still have my heart in a jar. open a few holes, my heart is suffocating. hair like Rapunzel, fine spun gold, only love knows our connection. time is but a teardrop in our moments. on my notepad, is stories of what i think you could be, yet my imagination is far from your real being. your shadow is unique. i can see it dancing under the stars, it tells its own stories. faded, i am. im loving, your heart. keep moving, beauty. i love you. stop arguing with your mind, you’re beautiful. every man knows. o, to be young and feel love’s keen sting. beauty. je t’aime. belle âme, mon coeur appartient à vous.

Spirit Of The Motherland
This pink mass of mist it glows when we touch my waking has surrendered it belongs to you but the boulder this crippling weight still sits misty fog can't fly can't float never could that rocky weight it finally caught a cloud and pinned it down i didn't mean to show you i never wanted you to see this this amazingly heavy burden I carry please don't let it catch your cloud maybe I too often feel like a burden only because I have lived as one and this fear of being what I am it adds ounces every day maybe that's what I've been trying to get rid of not my earthly weight but the one that caught my cloud Is that the one I've been trying to starve out?

Warning: Please do not feed the clouds
There's an ancient, ancient garden that I see sometimes in dreams, Where the very Maytime sunlight plays and glows with spectral gleams; Where the gaudy-tinted blossoms seem to wither into grey, And the crumbling walls and pillars waken thoughts of yesterday. There are vines in nooks and crannies, and there's moss about the pool, And the tangled weedy thicket chokes the arbour dark and cool: In the silent sunken pathways springs a herbage sparse and spare, Where the musty scent of dead things dulls the fragrance of the air. There is not a living creature in the lonely space arouna, And the hedge~encompass'd d quiet never echoes to a sound. As I walk, and wait, and listen, I will often seek to find When it was I knew that garden in an age long left behind; I will oft conjure a vision of a day that is no more, As I gaze upon the grey, grey scenes I feel I knew before. Then a sadness settles o'er me, and a tremor seems to start - For I know the flow'rs are shrivell'd hopes - the garden is my heart.

She is A Queen She's something special, similar to a candy coated dream. The God in her will sooth you soul as if you were Listening To the sound of the rushing river Streams Her spirit Shines brighter than a car's high Beams. Her love is sweeter than brown sugar And Me oh my she is Looker Her big chestnut sultry eyes reveals the beauty of Her soul inside. I can just smell the aroma of her Shea butter and coconut fragranced skin as it glows due to her internal flame shinning within. Cocoa Brown is the color of her melanated Bronze complexion. Man, her smile drives me wild. That luminous smile, her glorious smile, is as gorgeous as the clouds when she shows her pearly whites. It brightens my day like a lamp in the darkness of the night. And her mind Is a secret treasure That only her King Can discover and uncover the bountiful mountains he'll climb. She's Artistic and Musically Inclined And at the drop of a dime shell bust out in A poetic rhyme And her words, Gosh her blissfully profoundly spoken words, will send chills up your spine She's My own little personal ray of sunshine Radiating truth and her words are so kind She's simply divine She's a peacemaker staying serene From the inside out she is a beautiful Human being She's good for your mental hygiene Kinda like how your body needs protein. Royalty is embedded in DNA gene And her crown is made of lustrous flowing locks shining like oil sheen. She is Royalty, She's My sister from another Mister, She is an Unshaken, Strong, melanized Beautiful Queen.

. And her arms enfold me, I lay my cheek against her breast. The shaking starts, the tears fall, as sobs emerge unhindered. Cries from way down deep, and I hear her heart, slow, steady, metronomic. So I follow its rhythm along a path richly bathed in warm sunlight. Through an archway and across a threshold shrine, the cemetery of the Ancients. A hundred thousand names, carved in marble, adorned with statues and plinths. Holding knowledge of old, and the sound of silence, like an abandoned library. The shadow of love hovers close, driving through midnight mists and leading me on. Practising narrative necromancy, reanimating old words, giving them life newly born, upon the first carved marbles, its names burnished with wisdom, and the anonymity of obscurity. There glows one name in forgotten script and I know my deepest identity, the weight of the aeons flows free into my mind, histories of the millennia. I know my Forest Lady holds secrets that belong to me. And she gestates them all, a coveted pregnancy. A path-working, an etherical dream, and her heart skips a beat, as another part of me crumbles and dies, to mingle with the dust of ancient knowledge. © Pagan Paul (11/07/18)

I'm waiting for my mother I twiddle my thumbs idlly I'm trying to look away from The chocolate bar that's staring at me "Look at me!" It whispers softly I'm struggling to avert my eyes "You'll feel better when you eat me" it says With an effort, I ignore its lies I walk around the chocolate shop Like a predator circling it's prey This temptation is just too great! My feet can't seem to walk away "Eat me! Eat me!" The chocolate chants Someone save me from this torture!   "Don't leave me all alone" it says I can't take this anymore Suddenly, my phone rings My mother has finally arrived! I turn my my back on the chocolate My face glows with pride I didn't succumb to my desire I did it! I resisted! I held on, I stayed strong Even when the chocolate insisted I smile as I reach the car I'll tell my mother about my ordeal I think of how proud she'll be And of how happy I will feel But before I utter a single word, She hands a packet, beaming wide She says "look what I got for you!" I can't wait to see what's inside! A prize for resisting temptation? Oooh! What could it be? I open the packet and look inside And a big fat chocolate stares back at me!

What a historic day it is, that the birth of Motherland we celebrate, She beautifies herself with Independence and prides in freedom; Like a berry, Her seeds are nurtured and groomed to pomegranate, Its the birthday of Nigeria, a tectonic day of liberation from Edom. A day to celebrate Her sweet Autonomy and Ultimate Supremacy, An October 1st that marks an Independent and historic liberation; She prides herself in political Authority, Power and Predominancy, Its the born day of Motherland, a day of a feast worthy celebration. Let's all celebrate the birth of Nigeria, for Her age's a befitting feast, We must unite together as One Nation built on our Elite's landmark; This day calls for a jubilation to a lasting freedom and a vital feast, Motherland glows with honour and pride, for her birth's a hallmark. She fought like an Eagle with great might and valor, for the liberty Of Her future generation, and Hero's blood a fountain of freedom, Today we laud a Nigeria that birthed the Independence and stability Of a Sovereign Nation, that feeds no more on the putrid of Edom. Today marks the 56th born day of Nigeria, and still a Sovran Nation, It calls for a celebration, a befitting feast and a historic merriment; An October 1st that marks an Independent and historic liberation, Its Nigeria's Independence, a day to celebrate a sweet merriment. ©Vabec.

NIGERIA BIRTHS INDEPENDENCE
They say "beauty lies skin deep", Well yes it does lie skin deep, It just shouldn't lie dormant, Let it shine. Inward beauty, Is for eternity, It glows through the eyes, Probably casts out doubts and lies, Its free for all, We don't have to spend anything at all For us to attain it, We have to recognise it Within ourselves and nurture it. Nurture it with goodness in thoughts, deeds and living, With laughter, optimism and loving, What's inside reflects on the outside, As within so without.

Nature has divine qualities Beyond national divides So heart enfold immortal love Where one sees mountain dance and move In this do love has no color Skin pigment shouldn't be honor For all bears reddish clot As we tread on earth path So soil of time embraces our body As the enlived soul transpired to the sky All become one in a starky heaven Where no divide and rule leaven Only unending peace it brings Shrinking hearts with joy and unending smiles As they commune in glows of divine instinct For the greatest commandment is love As bird fly above So cloud of hate gives love as chance Embracing one with will of divine So our earth become an undying paradise written by Martin Ijir
