When all of worldly beauty's lost
When form and face have borne the cost
Of life's sojourn upon this earth
A greater glory then springs forth

When vanity is cast aside
With long-dashed dreams and fallen pride
At last a better hope I see
One anchored in eternity

When no one gives a second glance
Or offers promise of romance
I know the One whose love is true
Who looks beyond what most men do

When wit and charm have fled from thought
And company's no longer sought
There's still One friend who longs to hear
My every word, desire and fear

When awkwardness is more the rule
Than competence and being cool
His words I hear so gently spoken,
"Come, poor in spirit and all who are broken."

When those around me criticize
With disapproval in their eyes
He spreads His arms with full embrace
And wears acceptance on His face

When kindred spirit can't be found
And understanding's wayward bound
The One who knows me best will be
Thinking precious thoughts toward me

When foot is slipping, mind astray
From trying to fix things my own way
He rescues me with hourly grace
And sets me in a spacious place

When all my naught attempts at fame
Lie crushed beneath a weight of shame
I seek the fame of Him instead
Who calls my name and lifts my head

When youth and vigor fade away
And triumph seems an ancient day
My strength can rest in One who brings
Fresh power to soar on eagle's wings

When my last breath some day I take
Death's shadowed crossing, hence, to make
Upon Christ's nail-scarred feet I'll fall
To kiss that One who is my ALL
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal."

God of heaven, born on earth
Infinite glory here brought forth
First laid upon ignoble straw
Then on a cross to die for all
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth...'...the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!'"

Weeping flowers, creeping vines,
open up as sun shines,
reaching for the light,
closed again before it's night.

Climbing vines, purple flowers,
only stay for a few hours,
soon the petals will all cower...

Small window of opportunity,
But aren't they lovely?
inspiration, beauty, sadness, life, death, confidence and appreciation for it all.
4, 3, 2, .
The days are dark and clouded
Stars fear to shine and the moon is dreaded
The pain in our heart too heavy to make us cry
The prophesy joy is still far off to force out a smile
Miracles are now very scarce and expensive to buy
The truth is too bitter and too unhealthy to lie
My once good friend which is hope is ready to die
No peace in heaven, no life in hell
Then where exactly lie our help
Since I have no horse I will use my leg
My pain is nobody is feeling my pain
since is better to pray than fait
I won't try to drop out in the school of life by suicide again
I will stand on holy grounds to fight for a better life in faith.

They say the tail is for the slaves so I dare to become the head
No matter how deadly the journey seems I still believe in a rosy end
Since the kingdom will come here, here I will righteously pitch my tent.
Let them keep throwing brimstones
Let them keep feeding my hunger for meat with stones
I seek for honey but sour limes and bitter leaf water they seek to drunk me with
They should keep turning my once soft paths to thorns
But I know they can't eclipse my glory it will keep glowing
I'm like a palm fruit, no matter the harsh weather they might bring I will keep flourishing
I'm like age, no matter the obstacles they might set I will keep growing
For I'm a destiny child, destined to move from glory to glory.

Glory,
The name of my love
The one who makes me feel as high as the clouds above
I love you so much it hurts when you are not here
Please dont replace me..that would be my biggest fear
You can have *** with others I dont mind
Though I might be...because of this blind
Since I let you get touched by those who dont deserve it
No they dont deserve it one single bit
I want to stuff their lungs with a crow
Dont cry dear...it pains me to see you having a woe
I want to see you smile
This would make my day worthwhile...
I want to marry ya maybe I am insane
Or perhaps I am naive, but you make me gain...(determination)
I love you, you should be mine
Thinking this way is not a crime ?
I love you...please dont break my heart
Even if this is something like a restart
But I do love you so I am writing this
You fill my days with endless bliss

Why should the Light return upon
Our cold and darkened land?
When, into sleep, we drift and yawn,
So thoughtless of His hand...

We never think: "Someday it may
Forever cease to shine!"
We never thank – with thanks, befit –
For Morning Mercies' rise.

Why should the Light return upon
Our cold and darkened land?
But to awaken life at dawn
As He, in Goodness, planned...

We never, then, have an excuse
To fall into a dream
We never, then, can e’re accuse;
His Glory’s, daily, seen.

.
Lamentations 3:22-23: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
Supernal shades of blue,
Best approached in early hours,
Lend the land a summer hue
Where the Morning Glory flowers.

The leaves are trident hearts
With rambling stems and coiling tips;
Every searching tendril starts
As the glowing sun uplifts.

Prolific and with ease
The Morning Glory onward climbs
Over shrubs and over trees -
All are smothered in the vines.

But now the weeds have weighed
Upon this heart they once adorned
And I am stifled by the shade
Where morning beauty stood before.

There is chaos in this cosmos.

God's Eden order was lost.

Yet to him order isn't gone.

Chaos is simply his pawn.

It is part of his big story.

Its darkness reveals his glory.

So bring your chaos to him.

Light takes joy in pervading the dim.
Written 7 August 2018

God gets joy by solving our chaos, if only we would bring it to him.

sweet loving boy,
rest your head against my heart and listen to its beating sound, know that every thump is for you.
Woman in all her glory...
after loving;
legs spread,
slowly dripping me.

You are everything for me,
Why is it that I get distracted while your light is to beautiful not to see
Can you set me free ?
This world feels like a prison which becomes worse by time pasing by
I would be gone if I could fly....
But you made me without wings,
Bearing this and being patient might be one of your blessings

All glory be to you
Your love is all I need
I will try to purify each deed
For your majesty, so please free me from all greed,
I want to be righteous, your angel in human form
So that by just thinking of you, my heart stays pure, stays warm

In pleasure and happiness
And as long as you are pleased with me
My mission shall be
To make you happy
My joy and expansion are my shelter and my state and my cover
So make it light and truth which I discover
And turn me away from the unrighteous

All glory be to you

Glory days are over
and there's no coming back.

The suitcases are ready,
the train's on its way,
I can hear its howl.

Goodbyeing this city
where we were born and raised.
Children waving at us,
but we aren't waving back.

Glory days are over.
So the poet was right -
life is but a drop
in the ocean of Time.

Glory days over
this supper will be last,
hearts are to be broken
future to become past.

I'm looking at you in the mirror,
but there's no one I can see.

It was nice
not knowing you, Misery.

Standing under the starry sky,
He gazes at the crimson moon.
He is old, solitary and shy
He knows his end is coming soon.

The wind smiles as she passes through him,
Brushing his hair, kissing his cheek.
Playful as she may seem
She knows, he is now weak.

He gazes dreamily at the sky,
Reminiscing the glory days of his life.
Like everyone else, he will also die
But, he is happy as he knows that he will be with his wife.

He wonders as he watches the crimson moon.
He knows, his end is coming soon.

thy name is glory
where
faith is thy sword
for
thou art with me
to
seek thy reward
truth is thy banner
and
i
giveth thee
all the praise
and
glory
still
He
brings light
to
the world
for
thy name is glory

the aftershock
the ringing in my ears
the ache of skin
bone
fingertip

all the nerve endings
deep-fried and severed.

the T.V. static in my head
the running water, the heat
the cold, the fury
the blade

the skin
becomes metal becomes
iron, the bones
paper thin.

I want to dissolve.
I am too heavy.
Richard Barnes Sep 2019
My written words are a sin to your glory
and the silent beauty in your fair smile.
By theses words, i owe a poet’s debt
not to make false what is beyond my words
to write by coping poorly what nature’s hand has made.

But write only what love can express
in these poor words...
Words that are silent before your beauty.

For my words come up short of devising your
praise. Your beauty is beyond my words, maybe to be
read only in the silence that lives in my soul.

I would have taken the easy path
But that would leave no room for glory
I would have picked out a comfortable life
But that isn't God’s kind of story

I would have followed a prettier road
But missed the most beautiful way
I would have clung to familiar things
But lived out my days in the grey

I would have chosen what’s stable
But grown cold, apathetic and bored
I would have sought out earth’s riches
But lost all that in heaven is stored

I would have liked more successes
But not learned so quickly of grace
I would have seen myself praised more
But given up knowing God’s face

I would have tied all my loose ends
But not known it’s He Who brings peace
I would have wanted for happier times
But traded a joy that can’t cease

I would have opted for normal
But not tasted rare delicacies
I would have preferred a man’s love
But been robbed of Divine intimacy

He’s chosen for me the high road
More jagged, more narrow and steep
So now I must travel this difficult way
Ever knowing it leads to the deep

Now I must choose to cherish His path
And trust Him to walk with me there
Now I must hasten to take up my cross
The fellowship of His sufferings to share

For one day this life will be over
And all my afflictions will end
It is then I will see what all this is for
In my Bridegroom, my Savior, my Friend

Even the best of us, cannot have our names, carried in the wind forever.

Isaiah saw the Lord on high
with seraphs 'round Him praising
and knew that he must surely die
but for God's altar brazen

If not for Jesus Christ the Lamb
we all would face hell's woe
but by His grace alone I am
made holy head to toe

So now my life is not my own
but purchased by the King
to make His gospel message known
and His glory forever sing!

I've fumbled
dropping my dignity

it's not a lol
slapstick moment
more foolish tragedy

I am your clowning glory
in the circus of our life
the wheels are falling off again
as I'm travelling too fast

it's always so ****** funny
in a sad pathetic way
you laugh your stupid face off,

even though I get your sympathy
it's from the height of pity
not emphatic in any way

I can perform all night
though not the way you'd like
struggling with the *** thing
to satisfy your cravings
while trying not to cry

am I here to entertain you
my mask a tragic farce
looking like I've got it together
But I'm dieing on my ****.
