you toss my feelings back and forth like a tennis ball. It was so asinine to think you cared at all. you make it out like you wanna meight, but end up stealing my heart, which isn't condusev in my healing. You make me six. With me, you didn't have a rival. I used to think you were necessary for my surfivel. therefour, from here on, I won't allow you to crush me, no more threel seeing my reaction when you touch me. I don't understand people who just get together to make you think you won and blow you off like a feather. I half had enough and this topic's not moot, I have zeroed in on my target and i am ready to shoot.

countdown to heartbreak
**only a ******* man could love a ******** poodle** everybody knows poodle one of the smartest breeds, not exactly a manly man's dog, but great to have around to feed, feed you, when alone, and you need a good conversation had me a good woman she would say: "hon, kindly fetch me this and that," **** dog would get her whatever she wanted, me, didn't mind at all, loved taking care of her, but the dog loved her more and be there and back before I could jack my feet off the couch she would say: "hon,  come near, give me a nuzzle and a kiss, a  cuddle and a lick" **** dog, double quick, cause it spoke better human than most, was in her lap burying her laughing with affection infectious, before I could jack my feet off the couch she would say: "honey love, meet me bed upstairs, love me sweet and complete, when done, please love me over again twice as nice" **** dog hearing the sacred holy word bed was up there in a flash, howling "what's taking youse guys so long," tail impatient drumming up a rock n' roll storm, while we slow pokey, taking our own sweetest time, humans messing around first with a little downtown downstairs, prefatory, preparatory work, both our feet lazy still on the couch kissing the cold away when we got to our destiny destination, had to kick that **** ******** foggy doggy outside, close the door, say no more, **** dog did whine and cry like a baby chile, till we couldn't take it no more and let that **** dog in she would say: "lover man, I love you better than twice I thought I could ever love another, cause you two idiots two-gether make me sweeter and completer than I ever knew I could be happier" like I said, only a ******** man** could love a ******* poodle**

In praise of Eliza, Queen of the Shepherds See where she sits upon the grassie greene, (O seemely sight!) Yclad in Scarlot, like a mayden Queene, And ermines white: Upon her head a Cremosin coronet With Damaske roses and Daffadillies set: Bay leaves betweene, And primroses greene, Embellish the sweete Violet. Tell me, have ye seene her angelick face Like Phoebe fayre? Her heavenly haveour, her princely grace, Can you well compare? The Redde rose medled with the White yfere, In either cheeke depeincten lively chere: Her modest eye, Her Majestie, Where have you seene the like but there? I see Calliope speede her to the place, Where my Goddesse shines; And after her the other Muses trace With their Violines. Bene they not Bay braunches which they do beare, All for Elisa in her hand to weare? So sweetely they play, And sing all the way, That it a heaven is to heare. Lo, how finely the Graces can it foote To the Instrument: They dauncen deffly, and singen soote, In their meriment. Wants not a fourth Grace to make the daunce even? Let that rowme to my Lady be yeven. She shal be a Grace, To fyll the fourth place, And reigne with the rest in heaven. Bring hether the Pincke and purple Cullambine, With Gelliflowres; Bring Coronations, and Sops-in-wine Worne of Paramoures: Strowe me the ground with Daffadowndillies, And Cowslips, and Kingcups, and lovèd Lillies: The pretie Pawnce, And the Chevisaunce, Shall match with the fayre flowre Delice. Now ryse up, Elisa, deckèd as thou art In royall aray; And now ye daintie Damsells may depart Eche one her way. I feare I have troubled your troupes to longe: Let dame Elisa thanke you for her song: And if you come hether When Damsines I gether, I will part them all you among.

I'm running across this uneasy ground trying so hard to keep sticking around facing a battle that just won't pan out.. so many people are falling down it makes me wonder why I of all people would continue to walk along this road full of gravel and never-to-be-pieced-to- gether-stone. If only life weren't such a hard puzzle to figure out, why is it such a struggle? stress is all you've been inhaling lately, and you've been trying so hard to avoid it but that's just too bad.. stress is reality.

We've been... a... part... so long; We've not been... to...gether, a... lone. Together alone. I hear the lonely house sounds Of dripping, creaking, and window wind whoshes; The semi-muted fiber optic sounds; The various vehicles dopplering past. These I hear in my fractured second, Before asking, "How ye doin?" Which shatters into glass the silence Held too long between us. But now we are alone, together, alone. A silent alone, together.

Sounds Like Being Alone
it has become cliché we know the once delicious alien names are only everyday not fiercesome not fiendish not promises of blood drenched daggers anymore. these names were standards rally around the flag wear the flag proudly pin-striped lapel on porch on bumper these names fail fall flat we must seek something new flavored with just the right taste of wet iron new rallying cry to gather in constructed terror behind architecture unknown shelter united deflected covered wrapped against this shiny new promise seductive new enemy more toothsome sharper and we are re focused dis- tracted bound to- gether against new pre- fabricated foe with tasty new name and we can watch mouths agape drooling fascinated seduced titillated the new-fashioned series waiting for next exciting episode while outside elsewhere plump ravenous generals masticate digest defecate small carcasses empty skulls shredded skin under a building-powdered once golden dome

Dedicated with love: to the Jewish Lobby
This stray amongst the lions, singing Songs about the motions, while he Shuffles on his feet, and dreams of Birds and trains and oceans. Inside a cage of pens and desks, his Mind a whirlwind blowing, and his Instinct rarely showing that there's No real way of knowing. Be- Neath the towering eyes of stone, he'll Charge forth into worlds unknown. And Maybe he'll make us all so very proud. The jewel within the junkpile, reading Classic works of old, and telling Stories of a life she dreams on Starry nights so cold. She Takes a subtle gesture, turns it To a work of art, and then she'll Take a few steps backwards, turn, and Then she shall depart. Be- Tween two realms of parapets, she Takes her time, but still forgets to Return to the heavens she is from. A seething mass of paper, screaming Mindless riddling tricks, bent on Giving you your fix, of heady Sciences, for kicks. They share a Bleak appraise of life, but still Together it's alright, because There's nothing they can't face, if they just Shine a little light. Be- Mused and disillusioned glances, and Gaily executed dances. The World just fades to white, and all is well. A satin mix of music, and an Air of discontent, disguising All who can't repent and left to Pick their cold descent. She Strokes aside her hair and puts her Hands around your waist, before you Narrow up the space and dance to- Gether, face to face. Alone without a single care, the World is left to stop and stare; and Rain falls from the stars in darkest skies. He stumbles round his words, and offers Meaningless remarks, which don't il- Luminate the dark as well as How he set his mark. An Awkward, crowded scene conspires to Rid him of his dream, but still he Doesn't let it seem as though his Nature doesn't gleam. A- Lone with just a pocketbook, he Takes his turn, but doesn't look to See if she has found her way back home. He carries his emotions to a Private place he knows, where the Jokers never go, and all the People walk below. She Meets him at the bar, but doesn't Take a seat beside, because she Doesn't like this ride, and so her Feelings are denied. He Stares into her ashen eyes, that Earthy depth that never lies; she Sits and plays a tune for all to hear.

He carries his emotions to a Private place he knows, where the Jokers never go, and all the People walk below. Two hearts astringent as one love combined two souls emerging grasping to get entwined Solid love connected sadness can't break through as one memory imprinted the thought of me and you After many amorous years our hearts still beat as one Two folded loving feelings the day our lives begun

Two-gether
Making me sing daily for her, Far used to be the sorrows, Maddening was my love, Made her feel special.. Me singing & writing poetry, Separately for her was regular... For her I will improve myself, Testing my capabilities I am, Reeling the love I kindle inside, Peeling I'm my hard outer shell.. Companion of mine is perfect, Together we gelled just so well, Tomorrow seems very golden, Grappling with all the troubles, Challenging time with my effort, Focused were all my techniques, Graduating in the field of love, Completed seemed my jigsaw.

stuck-ness
Wow You did a number on me It was 8 letters Times 3 words With 1 meaning That equaled 2 gether 4 ever How much you built me up Lovely words Typed back and forth The things you said On the phone That caressed my ears How much You loved me And then you Walked away I guess I’ll never really know Except I can Guess It wasn’t enough Enough to respect My feelings And before you get All defensive Really They are My feelings I had my concerns About you And I really wanted to See it thru Such a little thing Ended it? Well Then It wouldn’t have lasted Anyway But no Hard feelings Am I upset? Yeah And angry Just a little But I’m mostly Thankful Thankful for the experience I learned something from you I learned something about Myself About what I want I learned that I have the strength To stand up for Myself To assert Myself I don’t know If you ever really were Who you said you were I want to believe you But I will always question Were you true? Too good to be true? Yes Now I pick up my Bruised Dented Chipped And dinged Heart Tuck it back under my arm And walk away ***** Stronger Prouder Smarter With more love to give I hope no matter what happens That’s how I live my life Yes It hurts sometimes The pain is palatable Tears fall That’s just so When it’s good You know it So I say goodbye I hope you find What you are looking for I’m glad you let me go And didn’t keep me hanging on In the in between Maybe someday I’ll drop you a line Let you know I met someone wonderful Amazing Someone who Erases the memory of you So completely That I have to struggle To remember your name Not that I ever will You were And will always be Amazing 831

A Ship That Keeps You Sailing
To my right, West stands the sun, no wait it is sinking slowly to the lowly horizon, To my left , South East, the moon, becomes more as the sun is less, best keep my eyes on, this. I have both in the same sky, the other part of the planet has no day or no night, light I am greedy and I am selfish, I want to keep them both, for more than these few nights, a wish. To early to tell if my wish will find the well and a bottom dry or filled with water, Even if I am right or if I am wrong, I will give back freely not because, I oughta, for you. ©DWE072013

To gether
1 a.m. and I'm in 2 deep because it's 3 strike outs and 4 the first time it's 5 times harder than I ever expected when 1 time it all seemed 2 good to be true hearing those 3 words that were 4 me and only me but 5 thousand times apparently loses luster, still I miss the 1 love that brought us 2 gether for those long 3 years going strong 4 each other but 5 months was much too long to wait without 1 last chance 2 make everything 3 hundred times better than ever be- 4 I now would have to drive 5 hours just to look you in the eyes instead of 6 minutes through the old neighborhood to 7 Valleywood Drive where we 8 tortellini in the rain and by 9 p.m. each night we've already forgot- 10 the demons of the day in each others arms

Fasces and olive branch on one side, tails; wing-ed Phrygian cap on the head of an image of the spirit of Liberty, a fem. Heads. Dimes in the olden times, when I was born, 1948, dimes in America in those days symbolized a long known goodness for all men, included in we, the people, which includes me. Me and thee, we are we, only by virtue of my words being written and your reading of the same within our terms of endearment cookie. Each we we are in, let us call a set, but that confuses us, fuses us to gether. So, let's seee See it like this. I am good. I repel wrong and act right, asif I were polarized live in op position to evil evil live, have you seen it? Live, did it prosper in your presence or was peace the final state? Just, now. Please plea with your knower, don't lie. Say never all you wish, however never lie against the truth. To thine own self, et al... y'know in each generation of earth borne, one hero is reared to play your role, dear reader. Fret not, know wisdom has been maligned as calling us through each position of the fool... there is a map of these positions in a statuary garden behind the temple of the golden buddha in Bankok, visited with Mr. Boo in 1968. I remember none of the poses but ai knows they form a pyramid, i imagine it peaks in some backward footed kundalini pose, which is bull **** I imagined. Wisdom is gentle and easy to be entreated, okeh, heko.

Musing on a Mercury Dime
it’s november when the meds kick in, it’s december when i feel human again. (or maybe, for the first time?) i lack less. found an appreciation for something or another dug up in the front yard by a half-blind dog. appreciation for the living and the quiet small moments. i used to know empathy, used to take her hands between mine in cut scenes but those were trembling eras of seconds, caught between an intensity i’ve since given away. an inferno. of being in love with wheat grass bet- ween high ways and last bit of clouds eating sun like nectar in the rearview: or sweet talking directly into his eyes at midnight, hearing a smile in the smoke that separates our houses. cats with twigs and dirt swimming in their bellies. ghosts in the woods beyond my car, yowling at the full moon as if they were born to. i now know the silence and warmth of sleep. i exist alongside unfamiliar calm, a quaint silence that does not burn at the touch. but the world is almost softer almost lighter -- my skin is held to- gether with some thing more than glue. (maybe stitches?) i wonder if i was human the whole time.

i was going to paint but this happened instead
He said, I don't want to be afraid of being myself around you I just want us to love each other for what we are. I don't disagree except that I thought you were being yourself, I thought you were happy with what was with what I was. With what you were. When we met I told you what it would take and you agreed. Don't blame me for your sudden change of heart. I hope you are afraid of being yourself around me. Because for all the lies that you told when we were to gether you should be.
