"footy" poems
To my socks,
We play footsie every day,
I can't go anywhere without you.
To my socks,
You are like a ******
when my feet are without you,
They are susceptible to great danger.
With you,
Less so.
When in shoes,
Without you, is like a sweaty, fiery hell,
No relief.
With you,
Soft, comfy, footy majestic ness.
Walking on cold floors,
You are still there for me.
Even for that poor boy Richard, he uses socks now and then,
For his silly foot,
Poor boy.
I admire you dear socks,
They're is nothing else I would rather have on my feet.

Are all footy fanatics
Total raving lunatics?
The flag's in the bag!
We've got lively lads
The best we've ever had!
Peter Pans on ***
The flags that time forgot!
Footy finals fever,
Talk about dream weavers!
Footy finals phobia,
TV claustrophobia,
Why didn't we win,
Any old excuse again!
Footy fanatics,
Raving lunatics,
Footy finals fever,
Melbourne's dream weavers!

WHAT ABOUT THE NEXT GENERATION
THE ONLY WAY TO GET TO THE NEXT GENERATION
IS GET A FLAMING COMPUTER, GET THE INTERNET, AND PAY TV
AND YOU CAN BE AS COOL AS ME, IF YA HAVEN’T GOT A COMPUTER
YOU ARE A COMPLETE LOSER, WHO IS A TAD BRAINLESS
NO THE COMPUTER IS THE SIGN OF THE NEXT GENERATION
NOT LITTLE YOUNG DUDES WHO ARE JEALOUS OF YA
NEH, THE COMPUTER IS THE GATEWAY, TO THE NEXT GEN, BABY
NOTHING IS GOING TO TAKE YOU THERE QUICKER, THAN A COMPUTER
A COMPUTER IS COOL, CAUSE IT SHOWS YOU WHERE ALL THE GREAT PARTIES ARE
WHEN YOUR FAVOURITE FOOTY TEAM IS PLAYING
IT SHOWS KIDS HAVING A BALL WITH YOUTUBE, BY PUTTING ON VLOGS
AND WRITING BLOGS AND YOU CAN DISPLAY YOUR ART ON A COMPUTER
THE WORLD GETS TO SEE IT, AS WELL AS WRITING, IT’S ****** FUN
FACEBOOK IS COOL AS WELL, YOU CAN DISPLAY ART ON THAT AS WELL
SO IF ANYONE SAYS COMPUTERS **** AND NOT THE NEXT GENERATION
THEY CAN GO AND **** A LEMON, AND I WILL BE AS CHEEKY AS I WANT
TO SHOW, THAT COMPUTERS, CAN TAKE YOU TO THE NEXT GEN FASTER
THAN ANY JOB THAT YOU DON’T WANT TO BE IN
I WANT TO BE AN ENTERTAINER, I AM BETTER, BUT DIFFERENT TO OTHERS WHEN IT COMES TO STYLE
HEY BABY, OOH YEAH, COMPUTERS CAN SLIDE YA TO THE NEXT GEN, YEAH
HEY BABY OOH YEAH, COMPUTERS CAN SLIDE YA TO THE NEXT GEN YEAH
YA SEE AS I SEARCH AROUND CYBER SPACE
I SEE SOME NICE LOOKING CHICKS, YOU MEAN, NICE, I SAID YEAH NICE
THEY ARE SO PRETTY, VERY PRETTY, HEY BABY, OOH YEAH OH YEAH
I WANNA PARTY WITH THE COOL PEOPLE HANGING ON CYBER SPACE
YOU SEE COMPUTERS ARE THE GATEWAY, TO THE NEXT GEN YEAH
AND WE OPEN UP A NICE COLD BEER, SHE’S SO BEAUTY
WONDERFULLY, DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION YEAH
COMPUTERS ARE FUN, NOT FOR THE SQUARES, WHO JUST WORKS IN DEAD END JOBS
FOR ME, COMPUTERS ARE THE KEY TO MY FUTURE
I AM NOT LIKE MY BIG KOOMARRI MAN OF A MATE, LYLE
I LOVE SOCIAL MEDIA, I AM COOL MAN, UP IN COMPUTER TERRITORY NOW, BUDDY BOY

Hi my name is Briano alliano and welcome the Jupiter early Christmas party
And the first song is this
Santa Claus came through the computers
Through the computers
Through the computers
Santa Claus came through the computers
Every Christmas Eve night
He will drop presents down cyber space
Cyber space oh cyber space
Making Johnny and frank and tommy and Ryan and many more kids to count
Santa Claus came through the computers
Through the computers
Through the computers
Santa Claus came through the computers
Briany is a cool boy
Who is trying to be good
But nowadays it is harder to go down chimneys because nobody has one no more
But how about sending Santa’s sleigh
Down through cyber space
And and and send
Santa Claus through the computer
Through the computer
Through the computer
Santa Claus came through your computer
Each and every year
Cause daddy has a brand new computer
Just for you this year
Yes daddy gave me a brand new computer
For everybody to see this year
And now here is my funny jingle bells 2020
Dashing through the year
Was the covid 19
Yes the coronavirus has been making
Everybody sick
Victoria copped it bad
And footy started and finished late
I was unhappy that Richmond and storm won but at least Christmas will be cool
Jingle bells jingle bells
Party on at home
Covid 19 is keeping all the people from having fun yeah
Jingle bells jingle bells
Please find a vaccine
So we can go out and party again
Without worrying about touching
You see when you take the kids
To see good ole Santa Claus
You have to book online
And social distancing
So what you have to do
Is stand back and say to Santa
I want a book and a toy to play with
And then get our photo taken
Jingle bells jingle bells
Santa still will come
Covid 19 is really bad
But it doesn’t spoil the hype
Jingle bells party on
At home to be safe
Singing Christmas carols on YouTube mate
Party party party yeah
That was covid jingle bells and now here is
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
In these covid 19 times
The party will still be on
No matter what is on
We wish you a merry Christmas
In the covid 19 year
Party on dudes
Thanks and I will see ya next time

then they go off to the pub and say wanna beer to you
i didn’t know what to say at first
these people do like me, yeah
they think i am cool very very cool
yeah they enjoy my company a lot
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
ya see the aussie thing
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
and a hamburger with the lot
ya see ya go to the footy and the first thing you hear is
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
the aussie thing to do
then you go off to the city
to a nightclub, a man blows his cigarette smoke right in your face
you say what, are you doing, then
you say
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
the aussie thing to do
you see you think your a man but you look like a hooligan
yeah, your aussie mate true blue
you look rough and ready to punch the guy next to you
and then you say
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
the aussie thing to do
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
better being a true blue
you see they look ***** and very very rude
as they say
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
the aussie thing to do
you go to the footy and then the cricket
and then off to the pub and park illegally and you get yourself a ticket
the police have arrested you, then they let you go
and the first thing you say is
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
the aussie thing to do
you see there is nothing wrong with the australian way of life
as long as they just leave me to do my own thing
i would love to have a packet of crisps
but i hear this
wanna beer wanna beer wanna beer
the aussie the aussie the aussie thing to do, MATE

The dreamy sea washed ashore bringing
little bubbles of life to its end
Children splashed and jumped as wave after wave fell in
Bucket and ***** at the ready as castles from the sky
formed from minds in youth and fairy tales
Cream at the ready as grandads cap retreats
crisped from the comfort of his strippy deckchair he waits
Mothers blankets blown from the wind held down by
a shoe to be lost and a stone found yet not cast
These were the days we remember
These are the days we forget
These are the days to be treasured
A fine sad old memory from a past we most had
Ice cream sounds calling at fathers request
Is grandma still yawning from bingo's night fest
a donut for mother all sugared and warm
don't forget Charlie as woof is all heard
A match game of cricket from children about
or footy at lunchtime sweet sand in your mouth
These were the days we remember
These are the days we forget
These are the days to be treasured
A fine sad old memory from a past we most had
Asleep from the sun and a sneaky quick pint
as dad tries to doze be free to unwind
A call for 3 strikes as rounders is found
hear grandad all snoring more cream to be crowned
Tis time for a dip to twinkle your toes
to jump back a mile oh blimey its cold
These are the memories all children should have
a time when no phones when a time wasn't planned
No little computers to spoil the day
just fun and great memories of children at play
A time when your family all joined in the fun
a shame we have lost this to greed and the sun

Ah the inevitability of it all
Made a cup of tea… teabag broke
toast… burnt it
milk in the cereal was off
shower water went cold
Couldn’t find my jeans…in the wash
Had to wear cords
Missed my train
Late for work
Boss NOT happy
Stella cancelled dinner said she had to work late
Charlie rang to see if I was going to the footy
He said Stella said she was going
When???????????? I asked
Just a minute ago he said
Ah the inevitability of it all
Missed my deadline I was preoccupied
Called and had it out with her
**** off she said
You can **** off too
Missed my train
Home late
Checked mail
Stella sent me a ticket to the footy….
A surprise she said
Ah the inevitability of it all
Married her on a Sunday
Had our first child on a Monday
Divorced on a Tuesday
There’s got to be a better way
Joined online dating scheme
Now I lie with panache
And she sure knows how to tease me
And please me…
Ah the inevitability of it all

Question 1: A warm welcome to the HP Spotlight, Victoria. Please tell us about your background?
Victoria: *"My name is Victoria, I'm 59 and from Wirral, North West England. I studied and had a career in social work, predominantly the field of Child Protection. I was married, I'm happily single. I am the eldest of 6 and have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Home growing up was dysfunctional, I lived through my teens with my nan. I'm passionate about my family, Liverpool fc and my friends. I was addicted ****** My bio says: "Previously life was complex, I helped make it that way, now, I keep it simple and fun." It's true."*
Question 2: How long have you been writing poetry, and for how long have you been a member of Hello Poetry?
Victoria: "I joined Hello Poetry in 2011 and that's when I started writing poetry. Mostly, I started with rhyme and then found that prose better fit my parlance."
Question 3: What inspires you? (In other words, how does poetry happen for you).
Victoria: "I'm inspired by my many experiences, with others and in nature. I'm inspired by poetry here, always. Many a poem has stayed with me, long after reading. Writing poetry was suggested to me and my writing developed, it gave me a voice to express, that which more often I had held silent."
Question 4: What does poetry mean to you?
Victoria: "What poetry means to me happens both in the reading and the writing. Poetry for me, gives and changes perspective, I gain new sensibilities and find through the writing, as in life there is, constant readjustment."
Question 5: Who are your favorite poets?
Victoria: "I have lots of favourite poets here, at Hello Poetry. I've made many friends and been fortunate to meet a few. I also enjoy discovering new poets and I am always amazed at the talent out there."
Question 6: What other interests do you have?
Victoria: "I enjoy fishing: music, photography and feeding my family home grown produce. I've rented an allotment plot for about 12 years, it is where I grow veg, fruit and flowers. My other pastimes are travel, walking, watching the footy and the occasional wild night out with close friends."
Carlo C. Gomez: “Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to get to know the man behind the poet, Victoria! We are honored to include you in this ongoing series!”
Victoria: "Thank you, Carlo."
Thank you everyone here at HP for taking the time to read this. We hope you enjoyed coming to know Victoria a little bit better. I most certainly did. It is our wish that these spotlights are helping everyone to further discover and appreciate their fellow poets. – Carlo C. Gomez
We will post Spotlight #20 in October!

I love Australia it looks fine to me mate
You see Australia is very cool
There are a lot of fun things to do here
You can go down to Sydney"s beaches
Like Bondi, Manly or even Coogee
You can see if you can run faster
Than the best at city 2 surf
It puts Sydney on the Australian map
And we also have our great sporting games
Like cricket, tennis, AFL and the two rugby codes
If you go to the USA, you'll see so many parades
They have for christmas
While we just have one main parade
Which is from Adelaide, and that is really good
You get at glimpse of the past with come on Aussie come on
Sydney started a great Santa race, where you run
A marathon dressed in a Santa suit
And it was brought to Canberra
And it was very successful too
There are two televised Christmas carols
From Sydney's domain and Melbourne's Meyer music bowl
Yes, if you see the great ocean road and then have a look
At the grampians, you will have a great time
And there are some great surf carnivals on various beaches here
Showing that footy and cricket, is not all we have
We love to drink, sometimes too much
But we are out to have a good time
A ball, we are ready to party this Australia day
Australian sons, oh let us rejoice
But we need to include women too
Australians all let us rejoice
With Tony Abbott wanting to destroy us
AS OUR BELOVED PRIME MINISTER OH YEAH A HEAP
We are aussie through and through
So when we go our on Australa day
We watch the fireworks, yes we are having a big ball of fun
In the country of Australia

Sitting next to her in your pauper's bed.
She complains for the 50th time today about her stuffed up head.
She blows her nose into some tissue.
You wanted to make love, but her footy pajamas would be an issue.
This is the time when this beast is actually tame.
She screams at you and breaks your spirit until you jump at your own name.
She ignores you goes back to reading her book.
It's been ages since she has thrown you a smitten look.
She doesn't even have a cold.
It's 12 months out of the year that these mysterious allergies take hold.
They seemed to appear after honeymoon night.
When she knew you were in this deal tight.
Don't say I didn't tell you so,
remember you left me for her more beautiful soul

Alyra, remember that day?
That day at the park?
You were three, and I was eleven.
We went to the park with Daddy, Mummy, Molly, Arielle, Ella, Erin, and Pete.
Remember? You played on the playground with Ella and Arielle.
While Erin was teaching me to play basketball.
It was around August, so not too hot.
After we ate lunch, the big kids played touch footy while you went to the sandpit.
At the end is the day, when everyone was talking, you presented me with a big bunch of dandelions.
I told you and the girls to collect some more and I'll make jewelry with them?
You would take off that silly neckless for hours until it broke.
Then, I plaited flowers through your hair. You looked even more beautiful then you already are.
Just before sunset we danced and danced and danced.
That was the day you taught me 'Doggy Doggy'.
We watched the sunset - all of us.
You were sitting on my lap telling me about your day at kindy the day before.
Alyra, baby girl, try and remember.
Because one day, you won't be a baby girl anymore.
You'll just have memories.
That is why I hang on to them so hard. Because I never want to forget. And I never will. Not when it comes to you.

partying is better than sitting at home like a parents boy
i like parries in every single way
i like kids who party despite what their parents say
you see they drink alcohol and get drunk and they are having fun
their parents are talking if they are the only ones to be young and dumb
why can’t we party, it’s fun and cool, why not
i want my own stories to tell my grandchildren rather than just telling your stories
i know you had fun, so why can’t i, i deserve the right party mood
cause all young dudes wanna party
i like partying watching the footy yeah
c’mon dudes pour some ***** on me i am cool
get into some trouble with me, but not bad trouble
make sure nobody spikes your drink, ready to party right
i like partying in every single way
with victoria bitter and carlton draught and a jim beam, how cool
so c’mon dudes pour some bourbon on me and let’s party on
i think parents are the biggest hypocrites on earth
they party really bad but they hate us doing it
i like to party, i like i like to party every single day
with a west coast cooler and a bottle of scotch with coke, how cool
i know we feel like vomiting and we sometimes feel sick
but we need to understand what goes on in the club
yeah, the good times, and there are plenty of them
who cares how bad your hangover is, think of the good times
i like partying because for a young dude it is pretty fun
there will be people who yell at you, but you should think of the people who don’t
i will take a sip out of a jug of beer and someone yells at me
but i don’t complain because i like to PARTY real hard
i remember my friend at school used fosters as his first beer
my first beer was export light, in the kiddie section of the supermarket
XXXX was my first beer i got ****** on and i enjoyed that a lot
and if your hypocritical parents force you to stop partying
say to them, get a life, we are the future of this world
i like partying every single day
i used to buy beer out of every ounce of my pay
bills were being paid, but i was to young and cool to care
but you change but there is one thing for sure
i will never stop being a party dude
i am not a hypocrit, never a hypocrite, but i am not a parent either
and i party while i say, PARTY ON DUDES, and never give in to what conservative parents think
PARTY ON, and say ROCK AND ROLL PARTIES TO THE RESCUE, dudes

I will write 100 poems to make people feel at ease
Like Clancy of the overflow
Mulga bill and buttons and bows
Those 100 poems will be
The best I ever wrote
You see working class man
And blue sky mine and waltzing Matilda and buttons and bows
I want to support my footy team
And cheer very loud
Saying go Sydney go Green Bay
Go Barcelona nothing better than buttons and bows
I want to be rich you see
Make a lot of cash
I will have a party with alcohol
And bob hope singing buttons and bows
Making us happy with buttons and bows
I want to watch a tv show like a great soap opera
Like home and away packed to the radars 800 words and buttons and bows
Days of our lives and neighbours and young and the restless and buttons and bows
Bold and the beautiful and buttons and bows

You see this is a classic case of
Nobody's perfect
You see my teeth are rotting away all because I thought drinking Coca Cola was the coolest thing in the world
But it is the sugar in the coke
Which makes the dental bill really high
I even thought drinking the cheap soft drinks weren't an answer but I felt like a cool person who thought drinking coke was cool but I am replacing coke with juice and water but even with juice you have to careful not to drink too much juice but I am on mental illness and I need to have something but it is costing money and really it makes me look ever so crazy
But dental bills can get high and I am the first to admit that my mouth is full of decay despite how many times I clean them
I clean them in the morning and before I go to bed but I still see decay desolving the teeth in my mouth
I wish I could go to my dentist in the sky to fix the problem
I have to make sure I understand that coke might be a nice drink
It might taste nice
But the damage it does to my body and teeth is bad
I love Coke and it makes me feel I belong in this world
It started from just a can and moved to bottles
And back in 2002 I was even more addicted to Coke when they were giving out the free bottles on the lids
I have drank more bottles of coke than you had hot dinners
I need to resist the taste the nice taste
I tried to get the image out of my head in tapestry and writing
But as I said this is a clear case of nobody's perfect
I want to feel good I hear voices of the past because
I want a better life
But what is a better life anyway
I drink coke to feel like a celebrity
I drink coke to feel young again
I want my young body back again
So I drink coke
All any other form of sugar
But I don't want diabetes
I ran around the block many times and the Coke was giving me bad voices
I went to the psych ward in 2004 and 2013 because of the Coca Cola
Ellen DeGeneres doesn't want a crazy Coke drinker on my show
You see I am writing this blog
And I still feel like tasting Coke
Even if I have a chafing on the bottom of my belly all because of the Coke
I wanted to feel like a normal guy or a young dude who gets high on the bubbles of Coca Cola
It started really when I saw young dudes drinking it on home and away
But they don't do it anymore
I drank 2 bottles of coke at a cafe in the city after I was helping people all day
I wanted to feel like an adult in a way ya know drink what I want sort of thing and I felt like if
But the dental bill came back to me
Like it was out to get me or something
The voices were forced by the Coke to send me completely crazy
It is hard to give up Coke when you see thin people drinking it
Or footy watching guys when. They should drink water but
As I said nobody's perfect
My teeth are rotting away
Athena can't cure it
My bottom teeth are fine
But the top were decaying away
I heard this one voice saying
I will have a nice refreshing can of Coke
But i want to turn my tastebuds off Coca Cola
Because 3-00 or 5-00 a day
Can cost $1000 a year

Aussie Aussie Aussie
I am a fair dinkum a Aussie
And I love life every day
I hate this panic shopping
I think it is ****** stupid
That isn’t loving life
I hate this ****** virus
It is trappers (the devil)’s
Way of stopping us
But I love how people
Are taking to social media
To spread love to this great big world
We need to find a cure or a vaccine
For the caronavirus
To make us all love life
I am an Aussie Aussie Aussie
I am a fair dinkum a Aussie
And every day I love life
The shops are taking desperate measures to keep the stock lasting longer
But it causes frustration amongst
All sorts of shoppers
And it doesn’t make them learn
I love the footy and I still want to cheer them on
In these hard times
So if you want to rid this virus
So Aussie Aussie Aussie
Fair dinkum a Aussie
I love I live my
I love life every day
I live my life in every way

I remember being little.
Innocence.
When I was gentle with my words
And with the things my hand would hold
The way my cheeks would rose up from the cold.
Little fingers.
Little feet.
Sweet smiles snuck a treat.
Laughter and play.
Feeling safe in every way.
Seeing only the best in everybody.
Trusting everyone who came by.
Being held and needing a cuddle.
Splashing in a rain puddle.
Hearing, everything will be alright.
Bob Marley's motto tucked me in at night.
Being a princess is an actual occupation.
Thinking your parents aren’t scared of anything.
Believing in things that cannot be believed.
Having an imagination completely unperceived.
Finger painting.
Dancing.
Footy PJ's
Encouragement.
Laughter
Through all of my days.
Always feeling loved.
Never any doubts.
Bedtime stories.
Button noses.
I scream for ice cream shouts.
Soft whispers.
Tender touches.
Quiet kisses.
These are the things an adult misses.

Brian Allan is a punk
A punk a punk
Brian Allan is a punk
Who is so cool
You see I watch concerts
Cause I love them I love them
Brian Allan is a punk
And is the coolest dude around
You see watches Sydney swans in the footy and supports the raiders despite them only winning when they have no hope
Brian Allan is a punk a punk a punk
Yes Brian Allan is a punk
And he is so cool
You see he likes watching boxing to see who will win the title and if a geeky kid was being bullied he would come up to hassle the bully
Only to get locked in the locker next to the geek
You see Brian Allan is a punk
A very fine punk is he
He never gets into very much
Strife and dude can he be cool
You see Brian Allan gets wasted at parties turning the people away but deep down Brian Allan is a cool punk who really loves life in the way of being positive
Not worrying about the bad
Just stay positive in your life

I am a man ya see
Better than everyone else
I am a real real man who enjoys
His life in every way that he can
I watch the footy and I have a kick and I watch a concert
And enjoy every bit
People say I ain't a man
Because I sit on my own
And watch tv or YouTube
And enjoy life you see
I am a real man who loves fine music just as long as it is heavy metal
I will go to poetry slams and
Slam out a poem which is liked by the men who drink and smoke
I used to do that but now I am reformed just like a real man is
I drank my beer and smoked my ciggys and that is what made me happy
You see I am a real man and when I see someone doing it tough I throw some money his way
I am a real man who loves his life watching the afl and nrl
And in summer I watch the baseball and big bash cricket
And mate I feel like a real man
I am just a reformed character of a man I am radically awesome dudes
I am a real man

Anthony and Mark reading a poem on Saturn
You see fellas we are both out of the problem planet earth
And I can tell you, that I am glad and so is my mate Mark
As soon as Mark died he went straight to Saturn
And said hi Anthony, how's it going
I said the medications got you to
Well, mate now you are safe away from people who can harm you
They will never get you again
I will make sure your safe, and you will feel safe
If not now, but in the future, I love you Mark
And I watched those people on earth
Refusing to Cuddle you, with the problems you had
Anyway, I live in this place in Saturn
And my neighbour is great cricketer Don Bradman
Every night, I sing to him
Our Don Bradman, we're just like you,,safe away from pressures that Earth has
Our Don Bradman, as an earthiling you were very good
But Don Bradman, you can succeed more because you are so great
You can average 100 here, and no one will stop you if your any good
Then I told Mark, I know you like cricket, and you love music
And I have the great Micheal Hutchence play for me once a week
Yes, Mark, you don't want to come back to earth
You can stay with me, up here on Saturn
Where we can have a great time, enjoying every day life
And Mark I also have a St kilda player giving me Aussie rules pointers
And I can tell you, that Trevor Barker opened my eyes
I can play Aussie rules, so Mark , I will sing to you
Our Trev Barksr, you showed how to play Aussie rules
Our Trev Barker, as a footy star, you know how the match is played
Our Trev Barker, yes, we'll win it so ****** easily
Mark went up to Trev Barker saying Marks my name
And me and Mark are travelling all over the solar system
Having a lot of fun, cause really the only way you can get here
Is if you really study the bible back to front
So let's have fun, Mark, and really show Saturn how to party
Mark said, yes, the voices have stopped, I am saved
And so is Anthony, both are happy

people don’t tease at our age
you see i am too mature to tease and bully
i liked how my dad said that to us
because really everyone is treating me like a bullt
and i ain’t a bully mate
you see as i sit in my chair trying to remember
the times i used ti tease people
i was like a little brat
i never wanted to do much
except for hang around with mates
you see people don’t tease at our age
because it is just not mature
you see i like the idea
of putting the immature me and putting
myself in a drama course
where we muck around and have fun
and then we go straight home
you see people don’t muck around on the street at our age
because that is not what i should be doing
i know there is fun stuff on, but not as you sit on the cold pavement
i like watching footy on the television
as well as the big bash cricket and baseball
people don’t tease at our age, no no they don’t
there is nothing with sleeping on the couch
especially when you ain’t getting any
i do the bbq for the belconnen magpies
and i do a few art groups as well
and i sit in my room watching youtube and TV
ready to P A R T Y
but i don’t tease no way no how
i go to my technology and take a bow
people don’t tease at our age
well, we ain’t supposed to, anyway
kids are young, they don’t know any better
but as you get older you learn not to tease
you sit in your humble home
saying, this is where we are safe
people don’t tease at our age
and they don’t bully either

Here I write some recipes,
From our anti--football league,
How to cook a football totally,
Must boil it for twelve hours, ritually,
Then you can dice it and fricassee,
Or maybe bake, broil, and grill,
What won't fatten, shall fill,
Or you can make mini-football custard, eh,
Chocolate footballs in a bowl, let's say,
We call it Footy Iles Flotante,
Star sweet in the anti-football restaurant!
Then a recipe for Grand Final Day, swell,
It's called footy Croquembouche Noel!
Hear the anti-footballers yell!
You, too, can write recipes,
For the Anti-football Society,
It's like dining at the Waldorf Astoria,
Anti-football recipes from Melbourne, Victoria!
