Blind sighted was I as I traveled the darken roads,
walking within the confines of my mind.
Learning of the darker paths again,
trying to explore the things left unsaid.
Occasionally trailing off the path,
patching the wounds that still bled.

Such a fool to let your guard down,
Such a fool to leave the paths unguarded.
Such a fool to believe again
Such a fool to suffer in torment.

Only to learn of a new wound there,
close to the one left by authority figures.
Stepping closer to examine it and
wondering if it could honestly be true.
Poking at it to try and learn more,
finding it a wound that travels deep.

Such a fool to let your guard down,
Such a fool to leave the paths unguarded.
Such a fool to believe again
Such a fool to suffer in torment.

Morbid curiosity encouraging me further,
extending hand to learn of the depth it holds.
Finding it to be larger than my fist,
what a deep wound this doth be.

Such a fool to let your guard down,
Such a fool to leave the paths unguarded.
Such a fool to believe again
Such a fool to suffer in torment.

Pus and gross things spilling along side
of the blood that seeps out.
Deadly infection having set in,
where I thought healing had started.
Silly thing I have been when I thought it scabbed over,
and healing as it should've been..

Such a fool to bare this burden.
Such a fool to think it was gone.
Such a fool to believe in trust.
Such a fool deserves to suffer.

You're disgusting, I hate you

You walk around with your

I'm not one for these new times
I guess I belong in the past
Time once went by slowly
Now, it goes too fast

I don't know facebook
I don't tweet
In fact I don't know what that means
I belong in yesteryear
When men still cuffed their jeans

I guess I'm just an old school fool
An old school fool, that's me
I guess I'm just an old school fool
That's what I'm proud to be
I guess I'm just an old school fool
The good times now are gone
No one wants an old school fool
I guess that I will just move on

I don't get the music now
There's no song I like to hear
I'd rather sit and read a book
Or watch tv with a beer

Technology is far beyond
What my mind can take in
I do not use an atm
Because I do not know my pin

I guess I'm just an old school fool
An old school fool, that's me
I guess I'm just an old school fool
That's what I'm proud to be
I guess I'm just an old school fool
The good times now are gone
No one wants an old school fool
I guess that I will just move on

A fool's fool, yes indeed I am!
A fool's fool, much bitter-sweeter than pickled, honey ham!
So call upon me, by my name thrice,
So call upon me, just be quieter than mice!
Let me announce, your vainglorious announcement,
Let me announce, of your one true commitment!
I'll entertain the guests
and you can play hostess!
A princess in the castle, Queen and her kingdom,
and the fool of a fool, known for his star-dumb.
Yes you wait for your shining armor,
yet tested mettle, so brand spanking new,
And there you stand waiting, for your feet to be swept from under you!
So let me pull, the rug from there,
soon you'll see your feet in the air!
Allow me, my sweet hostess,
allow me, to show you a mirror, and show you the mess.
Ah yes, you've been busy else where, your mind was forgetful,
you've failed to account to keep your guests' bellies all full.
Now here they come, they come charging at the door,
but wait oh wait! What's this? What **?
You small little jester, has yet one more show!
A trick up his sleeve perhaps? An ace in the hole?
No my dear lady, I'm afraid you've just lost sight of the goal.
But never fear! Away from here!
We'll try again,
and try again.
To raise ourselves back to the top,
and try not to turn out,
to turn out such a flop?
A jester as always jesting as always,
just a jester, nothing more, and a smile because, I get to see you at all my plays.

So a fool's fool indeed I am,
Not so innocent you and I, aren't we lamb?

ACT I

Scene 1

Scene: A fleet of small boats on a open sea, carrying a flock of poets, actors, and musicians. They row into the distance, searching for land.

fool

Oh, the horror, the horror! The deadly locked eyes, the motionless limbs, the gray lips, telling me it is the end, no more, horror or else. I felt it too, at moments, though something else; what I felt was the sudden fear of death, what might come afterward, and the loneliness of this solitary journey. I had to escape.

Benedict

Yes, those lost half-lives of inevitable and unrecoverable tragedy, the guilt, unable to close in, and so moving away from the sorrow. Turning eyes away from the horror, no, get away from them entirely, let none of them escape with us. The tragedy, the grotesque demons.

FOOL

Yes, let them not chase us toward the end of the vast and endless voyage, and if we die so, let it be quick.

BENEDICT

Quick, by the thundering strike of heavenly signs, let us be at peace.

Virginia

Oh, no more, no more. Leave those thoughts behind, send them to exile as we have been for our refusal of "high tragedy."

Fool

So, it shall-(The Fool stands up, squinting to the distance.) Look! Is that a patch of dry land?

BENEDICT

Yes, our salvation of isolation, our comedic Garden of Eden!(A roar of cheers from all, though each voice distinct on its own.)

Scene 2

The troop have landed on the unnamed island.

Argorn

Here we shall be settled.

VIRGINIA

What a handsome little place!

Katty

Then we shall make it our home!

northworth

Home, yes, but home of what? A wild circus of cowards?

BENEDICT

No, cowards of tragedies but advocate of joy, happiness, and comedy.

Fool

Comedy! We are the Comedians!

NORTHWORTH

Very well, so we are.

VIRGINIA

Yes, laughter and happiness.

Argorn

We shall not only avoid tears, anguish, and sorrow, we shall make them crimes of criminals, we shall uphold only the Highest Order of Comedy!(In the distance, a ship carrying the mimes arrives.)

NORTHWORTH

Oh, look, so the mutes are here as well.

ARGORN

(To the mimes as they arrive.)

Wipe your black tears off your faces! Leave only the red smiles, we are a tribe of comedy not tragedy. (They do as they have been told.) There, better.

NORTHWORTH

Ah, here comes the musicians. (A band of cheerful flute, drums, and violin players arrived.)

Argorn

(To the Band)

Yes, very well, you shall never again play any sad little tune and lure me to anger!

VIRGINIA

Be gentle, Argorn, for only peace shall visit you.

NORTHWORTH

Yes, criminal, anguish, and sorrow, are the horror! They are criminal, criminal!

The band

We promise you only tunes of celebration will be heard on this lovely paradise!

argorn

Very well.

Scene 3

The band plays a cheerful little song while the mimes dances silent to the music. The actors and poets are reading poems of merry endings.

Fool

Oh, her tears, like blossom petals, have fallen and are gone forever.

ARGORN

The sun approves of our sanctum! Look, how the minions of clouds take flee!

NORTHWORTH

Yes, presently they do.

VIRGINIA

Only when morrow comes, shall we be certain of our well-being.

ARGORN

WE WILL BE WELL! FROM DAY TO THE NEXT, THE VILLAINOUS DARKNESS WILL NOT REACH US HERE, I WILL NOT ALLOW IT.

katty

Keep calm, keep calm.

NORTHWORTH

Yes, settle, joy will only come when you are unaware of its flaws and when you take no notice of the hidden misery.

ARGORN

No! Tragedy is horror, tragedy is criminal, it should only be fought, contained and send to exile.

Scene 4

The cheerful tune of the band have slowed with weary into a lingering sad tune, the mime have slowed their dance, and the drawn smiles drips down into a frown.

Argorn nails a notice to a tree. It says, Laws of Comedians.

Argorn

Stand up, you slothful infidels! You have once again turned what could have been joyous and merry into despair!

NORTHWORTH and Virginia

Argorn, you have burdened and slaved them with works of oppression, they are not happy!

The band and the Mimes

Yes, we beg you. Please let us rest, or the music will only be sadder.

ARGORN

No! Rest and what? Allow tragedy to intrude! No, be alarmed, be on guard. We will battle sorrow to the end.

fool

Argorn, only you are the advocate of pain and tragedy!!! You are fighting yourself!

Argorn

WHAT DID YOU DARE SAY?

fool

I dare say, you are what drowns us with slaving pain!

(Argorn advance toward The Fool with a hammer, and knocks him dead.)

Virginia

No, he is dead! Argorn have slain Fool.

ARGORN

Say more, and death or exile awaits you!

NORTHWORTH AND VIRGINIA

(In fear and deviance.)

No, we will send ourselves to exile.

Argorn

And the music!

(The band and mimes quickens their pace, the music and dance does not sound joyful however, but in a rushed mess, it rings of fear. )

Scene 5

The Band and Mimes are lying on the ground, being worked to death by extreme exhaustion trying to bring joy and music for Argorn.

Argorn

Play! Your fools! Why have you all stopped!

(Argorn rushes to where the bodies lay, and stops.)

Oh, are you dead already? Someone else, come and take their place! Don't let the little tune expire!

Katty

(In tears.)

No, I rather be dead to be mocked by your horror! You are a monster!

ARGORN

How dare you cry?

(Argorn kills Katty with the hammer.)

What do you say Benedict, keep the joy alive?

BENEDICT

No, you fool, what do you say is the most horrendous of a tragedy?

ARGORN

Death, I fear.

BENEDICT

Then, who is most foul of a tragedy?

ARGORN

The tyrant of a villain, champion of bloodshed, and one without conscience.

BENEDICT

Then, please, find your conscience, and see around you, the blood, and decaying bodies. What have you done?

ARGORN

NO! NO! I killed them for comedy!

BENEDICT

Yet, what you brought is tyranny, bloodshed, and death.

Argorn

Do you mean I am the villain? Then, please, in the Law of Comedian, execute my execution.

BENEDICT

No, I shall only take my exile now, and leave.

ARGORN

Then, I shall bring peace to this inferno once and for all. (Argorn kills himself, and falls. )

if i am graced to have a daughter
i want her to be a fool, a beautiful little fool.

a fool in the sense that she dreams too big
i hope she runs head first into a multitude of hopes for what she wants to be
i hope she runs around with her little legs carrying her weight telling everyone that when she's ten, oh when she's ten, she'll be the queen of every nation and that the people will sing twinkle twinkle as a global anthem

a fool in the sense that she rushes into things
never looking before she leaps, just diving straight in
leaving behind a trail of mass destruction with her tiny hands all stemming from that beautiful little mind of hers

a fool in the sense that she so easily falls in love
from falling in love with a cartoon character to falling in love with herself
but not just falling in love, giving the love back onto whoever she deems it fit for

i hope she's a fool
because by being a fool she will live a life that meets it's greatest potential
and that beautiful little fool will be just like her mother
a fool for whatever life has to offer
M K May 2015
there are no stories where the beautiful queen loves the royal fool.
the fool, being as such she is titled, loves her queen all the same.
even as the fool has to tolerate the abuse of the king and his knights,
a smile from her queen is all she needs to stay.
but when the fool no longer wishes to be as such, there is no smile from her queen.
there is only silence.
there are no stories where the beautiful queen loves the royal fool.
but there is one story, where the fool is no longer the fool,
because she knows her queen was the real fool.

The Fool

The grass bows in respect as he passes,
A fool so very unruly,
Spits vengeful passion,
Sets the bowing grass on fire,
Destroying nature with his smile,
Raucous,
Lashing feelings,
Eyelashes flutter in mortified shame,
Curling of their own accord,
In harmony of discord!
Disputed by speech in truth!

Love songs live ,
Castigated fool,
This lyricist,
Chastised for lack of care,
Beaten down,
Darkened magic mind,
Riling by inspiring,
Cauldron bubbles,
Images evaporate,

Eternal gossamer magic,
This fool's a clever fool!
He is such unruly fool,
Will never admit it,
Uncool fool,
Will stand in attendance,
To whims and things,
Main retorts in nonchalance!
Founded in chalice,
Full,
This fool,
Well,
He's no village idiot!

The Ageless Fool  -
The ageless fool parts to play
Young, old, white to black.
So many fools melt away.
Summer to Winter,
Sunrise and Sunset.
Fools be known to never forget!
Foolish kisses and foolish love.
Foolish writings and foolish song.
Fool fool fool
A fool for all the world to see.
No God no Glory
What fool can never be?
High or below on foolish ground or mid-flight.
Foolish wings spring forth and give me delight!
An echo beckons off high toward walls
And so I write..
Be a fool now and then or lose its plight…

It was before me
Yelling no screaming blood curdling wails
I should have never done it
I should have never walked hand in hand with my heart
It's too small
We never see eye to eye
Always on the opposite side of the train tracks
I'm the fool not my heart
I was the idiot stupid enough to think
This relationship would ever go anywhere
Was I ready?
Why did I try?
My mother was right
I am a pathtetic excuse of life
A waste of talent
A rotting corpse of emotions
Left deaf dumb blind and lost in this grave
Wondering when the sky will decide to fall
And show me
Show the world
I was always the fool
My heart was the one I blamed
I'm too weak to continue fighting
Yet I'm still clutching this sword
Like I know I'll win
Would I be the fool to let go and die
Let the anger decapitate me
Or would I be a fool
For not forgiving my own stupidity
Say I'm sorry
Hope you'll still love me the same
I know I'm the fool not my heart
But what should I think with
When both my heart and mind know
We'll both end up getting hurt
Should I think with my ****
Say I love you only when I'm trying to get in your pants
Should I think random
Start talking about the stars and say I love you out of nowhere
Should I think without thinking
Shut the **** up and be the pet
I don't want to be the fool anymore
I don't want to be domesticated
When I'll always have the instinct to hunt
The pain I feel in my chest
Every time we argue
With the razorblade you wish I would get rid of
I'm the fool not my heart
So when you break up with me
Don't target my heart
I'm the one responisble for all of this
Take aim at my forehead
My heart has seen the worst
It has the most scars
So this time I'll make my body and mind
Take the blunt force of your punches
I'm the fool
Always was and always will be
Not my heart
Never was
I told you I didn't deserve your love and I'll understand if we break up, I ****** up, I know I hurt you.

fool on me, for breathing in your cigarettes.
fool on me, for losing myself among the thunder of your lungs.
fool. fool. fool. on me.
i wish you didn't have so much conviction.
needles and hay.
no reason to stay anymore.
your eyes gripped me, and i lost my will.
your tongue sandpaper.
your lips bark.
fool.
fool.
smoke, you drift through my veins.
in and out of my fingertips.
i tried to squeeze but all i have left is ash.
fool on me, for thinking otherwise.
for falling over and over
into your puddle of words
Jorge Guerrero Nov 2012
I once played the fool for you, now I find myself facing the truth. When once I loved you, and even saw us together until the end of time, now I see a lonely path ahead of me. One filled with shadows, yet I walk it with a smile upon my face. The wound you created runs deep, but I feel no more pain. For when you laid with him, you lost me; I just did not know at the time. I once played the fool for you, but no longer will my tears fall for you. My heart has gone cold and my mind has pushed you out. No longer will I be that fool that loved you without reason, but I will forget you for all the reasons that you tried to hide from me. Your words will no longer fall on my ears with the pain you intend them to strike, nor will your action affect my thoughts. Once I played the fool, so far in love with you that I lost track of what was in front of me. Now my eyes have opened and what I have seen almost destroyed me from within, but time has shown me that you saw me as your fool and so you tried to show the world just how I would fall over you, but now the world sees that I can stand tall. You search for reason to right your wrong, but your search is in vain. For the only wrong I did was to be your fool. But no more will you see me, no more will I be lost within who you were. For my heart has closed and my mind will no longer dwell on you, for I will never play your fool again.
I wrote this poem in 15 minutes on a blackberry on a night that I was drinking and smoking, and had realized that I was an idiot. the next day when I looked it over i only edited one word out of it.

A long time ago
A joker lived here
A long time ago
A fool lived here

The Joker struck the fool
The fool fell aghast
The Joker watched his tears
The fool was not crying

The fool struck the joker
The joker jumped away
The fool cried at his laughs
The joker was crying

The Joker has died

The Fool has cried

Have you realize love blind many into saying stupid things?
Things that the stupid sometimes tries to explain.
Like, he beats me because he loves me.

So, when did love becomes abusive.

Sometimes situations dictates sadness.
When you have no place to go.
Or your family has left you all alone.

Inner strength and survival skills will pull you through.
Even, if you're a woman wth a destructive fool.

This saying a man that beats a woman.
Won't hit a man.
Realize honestly.
These are just words.

A fool is a fool.
He just realize others gets offended.
If he tries to hit you.

A fool is a fool.
And will learn his lesson in the end.
The sad part of it is.
He lost you in the end.
Nolan Davis May 2016
It's another night alone in my bed.
Thoughts of you trapped in my head.
And despite knowing the truth, evident with blinding proof,
My pride won't let me not be the fool.

And I know that you're better off with another,
And I know my presence can hauntingly hover,
But this is all I know, as my act will surely show,
Just how I revel in the acting a fool.

If this is the role I'm cast to be,
I'll wear my crown with unbridled glee.
Never relenting, always presenting,
Playing your games like a fool.

Your name would echo in the hallway
My friends experts in the game you play.
But I refused to listen, as your smile would glisten,
A boy predestined to be the fool.

Fast forward the clock and look at us now,
Your rise to the top left them all asking how,
But here I remain, fighting for a level plain.
Permanently cast as your silly little fool.

And as we grow old and grey,
I'll finally have the proper words to say,
I'll tell you it all, my reckoning will call,
My dying breath as the fool.

I continue to hold to this slimmer of hope,
For it's the only way that I can truly cope,
With how you really don't care, a hollow heart with pretty hair.
But in the end I'm always the fool.
Lloyd Hargrove Jul 2015
Saturnine the fool decried in bringing forth this plan
an avatar of straw revived to create a demise
and giving yet another poke into his little friend
the king of jest prepared to play the game that will not end

Namelessly it drifted through as vapor serpentine
then slowly coalescing in a drama much refined
the Necromancer stood and leered at what he thought to gain
in company of shadows bearing promises of pain

With fingers long arthritic from such powers having borne
the magician flashed his deck of cards each eager to engage
and challenged one and all to seek a fortune or a fate
but only fools had dared to speak and none survived to date

His entrance with a somersault the fool then shouted out
what bring you forth to play on me in such a shiny deck
the sorcerer just glared and said, a tie to fit your neck
most wonderful! the fool decreed, I wear purple, green and yellow
clash with me never for you see I'm such a jolly fellow
and tote for you a gift as well to give you such a grin
and turning with a wink he said now let the game begin

At last! the mage whispered within, the colors fazed him not
besides, a silly madness showed beneath that jester's hat
two jacks to open, both one eyed now let's see what he's got
said the master of all magik with his gambit falling out

Amazing! from the fool who said you really shouldn't tease
now eye my ladies if you please, delivered with great ease
and feeling good I'll raise you four
you follow yet? do not forget
where once there was a door

The magik man reviewed his hand
I thought I'd dealt... but never mind
a fishy fool this seems to be with hook in his symbology
and disconcerting more is that his toy begins to look like me

A tremor rising with the man
though all is in I fear I fold
perhaps I'll play another day
sheepishly the man did say
a marker I can offer now
though carried with me long I vow
to leave this deck - the joker's wild
and forever has been your child
I should have seen your likeness let
the back of every card to fet

Permission granted! waved the fool
but know you've broken every rule
so listen now and I'll portend
new colors plus a smile to lend
as you become my little friend
to leave behind your haughty way
and serve this fool instead of you
for just a time and for my reason
while you lose yours but for a season
said turned about with one more wink
then boldly stepping off the brink
and little friend though now on four
chased to begin the game once more
a silver of a gunslinger,
is a silver of gold
silver is a gunslinger silver of gold
gold is a gunslinger gold
gold is a gunslinger silver
a gunslinger gold is a gunslinger silver
a gunslinger is a fool of gold

my writing is called philosophical writing. i only uses middle ages words, words liked gracious, extravaganza, etc… when i’m referring a gunslinger i’m referring back in the western. this poem is about the rule of gold is the rule of silver back in the western. i don’t add capitalization’s on my writing.
Scurry hurry
Shaking hands shaped by worry
tie the knot of plastic
A bubble home for the hard green cup
where brown and white
mixed lay married.

Wash rush
Dainty legs in dark blue denim
hasn't time to be romantic
A worn out sister played by hope
shuts the door panting.

It clings to a robust tree
  head hidden under rosy pink
  protective shield
  edged in yellow

  The fireflies

Sticky webs of empty lies packaged in boxes of deception by the wizard that doesn't work
sit dead on the small bedside table
like the results they provide.

Boxes and boxes of cozy containers
and cards of capsules
47 I counted them
current and extras
They choke my sight
then I am groped by the smooth blue robes worn by the youthful shepherd
posing aside a grey rock looking yonder
into the distance as insta-natural as possible in a pastel painted picture framed in wood against the wall.

  Unstable molecules in tiny airtubes,
  many, breakdown and explode
  like little landmines
  A bio-luminescent lit ***** assaults a
  dense night flashing brilliant
  to find a mate
  Six strong neon-green throbbing blinks
  Six slow seconds of unimaginable
  wordless dreamless dark.

  are bright.

I turn my head
The whole unsettling mass of reality
is torn apart into vibrant colorful morsels,
then reassembled
as my eyes
settle
on

Her

"Oh God, if you're here, heal her now
and you'll have me. Show me what those confident tongues so eagerly confess.
Please!"

NOTHING
Another sticky empty square
covered in thick black-strap molasses
slapped to the face of the fool
who likes sweet things.

BUT

What happened to the omni-this, omni-that CEO of God enterprises?
"Go on Death" is what that means
"Go on Death do your job" is what it does

"It's your time.
It's to test your faith.
Gods plan."
All slogans for the man
who believes and dies.
  Culture creates the fool
  Hope keeps the fool
  Belief kills the fool
Thanks for doing what all those boxes
and all the pictures
on all the walls of the world do

FOOL

Her face,
a gaunt kind of skin-to-bone sight
a bad flavor
like a meal with no taste

Her mouth,
crack-lipped, framed by dry
delivers deadly blows to a heaving chest
that says; "Give me air"
yet lungs say no

Anguish,
is ****** from the pit of my cold stomach
then up through the spirit of a warm heart
I plaster the feeling in the shape of water.
My eyes puddle

I weep

It sticks

Love,

Falls

Fluttering as a twinkle
through soft beams of sunlight,
the drop glistens
plops
then dies
on the pink and blue checkered blanket.

All I have to offer are busky palms
to soothe this battered body
before you are torn apart by what
puts things like us together.

I swallow her frame

Her calf - bone

Squeeze and move

Her thigh,
my hand wraps completely
pinching a sausage sized piece of muscle
not big enough to walk
between plump thumb
and meaty middle

Squeeze and move

Her hip bone is angular
It fits flush in my hand
like the hard front peak of a cricket cap
when held above the grid

Squeeze and move

My chunky tentacles massage over
wire-thin barely blue throbless veins
that decorate her meatless paws
and twig-like fingers.

Squeeze and move

  It's after midnight
  Thick curds of desperation push
  again, through a splendid backside
  a special toosh
  slogging a dancing night-fever
  to beat the two-to-four,
a beam as bright as a green day
cuts through the black pitch of night

I hold her hand
A thin filling between two slices of mine
I look at her eyes and turn away

Have you ever been pulled from the center of  your heart, ripped head first through the narrow crack of your own chest, tossed aside like a skin-sheet onto a concrete glass-covered floor then squashed beneath the majesty of a billion dancing floor-clapping feet attached to a shapeless void shapeshifting as slideshows  between all things gone, here, and still to come, stopping on the body of a small blue boy that sings in ghostly echo;
"Don't turn away from this.
Look till you see me through the eyes of another because this too
will happen to you
Clap clap clap clap!
I'm coming for you.

Trapped in a square tunnel made of brick, walls wide enough for one bus no brakes to speed through, no escape,
I accept what will squash me
I Face it
I Stand before it

I stare at her eyes staring back at me
A deep dagger stare
Two parts steel
meshed
until there is only steel
It melts

I simmer the room in soft whisper;
"It's okay. It's okay. It's okay."
I hold her hand,
patting the top as I warm the bottom
I smile for her, at me
I smile back, as me

  A skillful mimic
  Here I come
  I have light and breath
  I see yours
  I come at night
  Not for genes or ***
  I hunt and gut
Hawking down I come as death

The gaps between her labored breaths become bigger and for a second I drift at the sight reappearing on the sandy dunes of an empty dessert space pushed by a dying wind I can barely feel.

A sharp salty tang toils the tip of my tongue and brings me back to her.

Her eyes

They have changed

Open

But

Soul

   less

     Soulless

     Desolate

   Like

That dessert

And that place where

If I was a fool,
I would believe that I was born to
Pull you from this cement cage
That encases you into perpetual stillness:
Static and untouched and yet so electric
That it pulls me to you with lightning-struck eyes,
As if it were fate,
(or destiny),
Or any of those other words that fools love to say

But who am I to decide if I am a fool
Or not?
It is a fool who presumes his own intelligence
And a fool who calls himself a fool

And it is true:
I would be a fool to love you
And yet I dig my nails into the concrete nonetheless
Clawing, pulling you out of this wall that stretches
East and west.

You fall onto me
In a cloud of grey dust, and your arms pull me up
And yet I’m not sure you’re real,
For shards of your wall-house linger on your skin,
Covering your face and hiding you from me

And still you touch and pull at me,
As if you were trying to pull me from a wall of my own.
Darling, with your concrete eyes,
How could the rest of your body be so alive?

Alive enough to run from me
After you were through with me
And you ran,
And you ran,
And I was a fool.

the fool is like a sheet of paper with pen scrawled in every cranny
silent yet noisy
the fool is like dust in the room corner
insignificant yet noticeable
the fool is like a bus
another one always comes along
You are the fool
I am the fool
We are the fool

"Tragedy of the grim fool"

Skinny little girl knows no rules
Reset her brain for grim little fool
Ate moldy food and rotten gruel.
For the growing heart she uses jagged tools

Chipped building blocks and rusted nails
Hammered souls breed a face with vales
Wearing mask her task she fails
All for food while fool set sail

Skinny little girl would scrape her knees
Hungry for fool in position to plead
Panhandle emotions dignity set free
Scorn and thorn by his laugh was she

Adored by her fans, but blind to their praise
Withered away with puffed cheeks that her tears graze
Fool applauded her corruption, endorsed her dismay
Her fans just stared as she fell of stage

With a thud she slumped to the cold paved floor
A circle gathered around once more
Scarlet fairies escaped her pores
Goodbye skinny little girl, fool has closed the door.

The Fire Witch, Poet and Fool
by Doyenne Arcannes Solace

Now is the season of ice and fire
Indigo skies and glass tipped trees
I am the fire witch Poet and fool
Come dance tonight with me

Gray shadow skies and cold rainy dawns
Changeable as time and unchanging as stone
I am the fire witch Poet and fool
Come sing my song with me

I dance the fire and step on the smoke
I whirl and spin and step on the beats
heart beats blood beat
I am the fire witch
Poet and fool

Now is my time
This is my Power
The Fire Witch croons the Call
No one here but She and me
The Lady
the
Poet
and
Fool

and She watches the fire witch dance
No Rite or Circle but love alone
I am the fire witch
Poet
and
fool

She turns my heart asunder
Penetrates the soul with thunder
Too late I began to see
What a fool i have been.

I can't take this any longer
The weight is getting stronger
Deceived by her tricks
What a fool have I been.

Mocks me with laughter
The master puppet in action
Pulling on my strings
What a fool have I been.

Yet I still love her
I know I've been conquered.
Wanting her near
What a fool have I been.

You may judge Me
But remember one thing.
Love makes one blind
Makes a fool out of thee.

So beware of the beauty
That one perfect cutie
For you too will realize
What a fool you have been.
My first poem guys, I hope you like it. Please let me know of any hints if you like helping people. I just on interested in making Poems and I do love it. Have a nice day.

I am a fool,
Waiting for your return
Every time you leave.
I pretend to ignore you.
Sitting here patiently waiting
For you to come back.
The things said that aren't meant.
The way you turn your back,
The last word before storming out the door.
I am a fool.
Leaving the door unlocked.
Waiting for your return.
I should be happy with pretending.
The breath of fresh air that soon misses your face.
I'll be a fool
I'll be a fool to lock the door.
I'll be a fool to call knowing you'd press ignore.
The things said that aren't meant.
The anticipation that waits for that door to open.
Nowhere to go.
I am a fool, standing by the door.
I've run out of things to do.
Waiting on you to come back.
I'll be a fool to ignore what's in plain sight.
I'll be a fool

Must we go on believing
That the best is yet to come
When we both know for certain
All there ever was is done?
Because whatever we were meant to be
We never had a prayer;
You weren’t where you said you’d be
And I was never there.

I don’t mean to let you have it
Like I did back when in Rome
But the line goes slack for no one
And a soft tongue breaks the bone
But as for holding onto fullness,
As for reaching for my hand
All attempts are vain and useless;
I am never where I am.

So leave your burdens where they lie
With the words you’ve memorized
We said when we knew we’d fly,
And we’d never die,
And it was meant to be,
But it was fantasy;
And it was destiny
That won the duel

My beautiful little fool.
Farewell my love, farewell to you;
My beautiful little fool.

In spite of all that you’ve been taught
By the bull that you were bought,
And everything you think you thought:
You are what you are naught;
And all the days to come,
And all of your wisdom,
Will not save you from
Your heart’s rule

My beautiful little fool.
Farewell my love, farewell to you;
My beautiful little fool.
A song about the skull beneath the skin

A fool don't realize they are one.
Until it's too late.

A fool goes into financial ruin to impress.
Afraid to admit they created their own mess.

Then when reality set in.
That's when common sense soon begins

They see that chasing someone to the point that they go broke.
And the return feelings doesn't come their way.
Then they are willing to face their pain.

A fool is a fool when they hold on to dreams.
Until they wake up to see that the dream has faded away.

Being an idiot is too high of a price to pay.

The funny thing is we all have been one.
So we really can't advise no one.
Life may not go as planned;
the worst kind of fool extrapolates
from a heap of thwarted expectations:
"Life is over because I'm upset!"

Emotions out of control, roiling,
demarcate that which in human is animal;
the worst kind of fool loudly insists,
"Life should gratify my ego!"

Disappointment becomes license,
a weak excuse for calamitous disregard;
the worst kind of fool dares to think,
"Others are responsible for my actions."

Cowardice thrives in this heath of weeds.
The worst kind of fool gives up early,
quick to resume safe, familiar weaknesses:
"I should never have dared to try."

Wallowing loves abundant company,
the likewise-dead who disavow all power.
The worst kind of fool supports other fools:
"We are special; this world is against us."

Self-absorption and delusions of grandeur
conspiring with fashionable self-derogation.
The worst kind of fool achieves impossible vampirism.
"Value me; reassure me; therein I feed."
The stink of entitled vermin.

I pity the fool who takes pity on me,
Says "Little girl don't get hurt."
I am not some pretty princess,
wearing a sequin skirt.
I've always been the small one,
the meager, shy geek.
I pity the fool who sees this in me,
and finds me tender and weak.
For that is not me.

I pity the fool who takes pity on him,
for his size and not himself.
He is a strong individual,
with his feelings high up on a shelf.
He has always been the short one,
the "Munchkin," if you must.
I pity the fool who will not look past this
and leave the poor boy to dust.
For that is not him.

I pity the fool who takes pity on her,
for her seemingly awful life.
It may have it's dark spots,
but there is always light.
Deep down inside she is unique and daring,
but all of people's harsh words
leave her heart and soul tearing.
She has always been the outcast,
the one too weird for words.
I pity the fool who won't get to know her,
and leave her up high with the birds.
For that is not her.

I Pity The Fool.

Well this is new

You've broken my trust

You hurt me in ways I really didn't think possible
You've shaken my already fragile frame and broken it, shattered it, when I needed you most.

But then again

I was a naïve fool to think this wouldn't happen to me eventually.

I was a naïve fool to think that I could be so trusting.

I was a naïve fool to open up the way I did

I was a naïve fool to think I it wouldn't happen to me at all.

I was a naïve fool to think that I could be trusting at all.

And I was a naïve fool to open up at all.

Thank you for teaching me that lesson.
It won't happen again, don't worry :)
