"expires" poems
i believe, even the stars get tired. when the night sky had folded them away back into the darkness and the moon, that lonesome thing, has doused itself in shadows. so will you too, my friend shy away from the light as if it would burn if it reached you. maybe you feel, you just are not strong enough to face the day. that the midnight hour is a broken thing and oh, the silence is deafening. and you and i know, even the stars are tired. you mourn for them as their light expires.

prayers in silence
I'm looking deep into her eyes *Looking into her eyes... is like opening a door that leads... to another door* Wait..really?  OK...I open the door. *This door leads to a long, winding path, like the winding path of your love.   The path leads to a third door* O...K. I open the door. *This door leads to a spiral staircase descending down, down, down,  deep into her soul. At the bottom of the staircase is--* A door? A door. I open the door The door is locked.  The key might be under the mat Seriously?  I check under the mat Nope, not there.  Maybe try under the small rock next to the door Oh for the love of...I check the rock There is a key Wonderful...I unlock and open the door *Inside this door is a large atrium the glass ceiling giving way to a beautiful summer night, the stars twinkling in the distance.  At the far end of the Atrium, there is a curtain* Sigh I pull aside the curtain There is a door Come on!  I open the ruddy door. *You find yourself in a long hallway, with fine art hanging along the walls. Crimson carpet lines the floor. At the end of the hall is a door  locked with a combination biometric fingerprint scanner/retinal scanner* What. *You have 10 seconds to unlock the door before the hunter-bots de-atomize you* What!?  Ok! I try my fingerprints and eye! *The door unlocks and the hunter-bots stand down. In the next room are three vials.  Two of them contain terrible neuro-toxins that will lead to an excruciatingly painful death.  The third will allow you to continue on to the next room.  You have 30 seconds to choose before you are terminated* What the hell is this!? This is the path to true love hidden deep in her eyes No, this is insanity! 15 seconds OK!  Geez!  Umm..Vial Number 2! You're totally dead Oh god! Just kidding.  None of them had poison...was just messing with you THAT'S IT!  I'M DONE WITH THIS Really?  There's only one more door.  I swear ...Fine.  What ridiculous thing do I need to do to open it. *It's already open.  You find yourself in a circular room with a pedestal in the center.  On the pedestal is a hand written note.  On that note is the key to everlasting happiness* I pick up the note *You smell sweet hints of your beloved's perfume and notice the care that each word of the note was written.* What does the note say? *My love: Next Tuesday Only --  Buy One-Get One Free at J.J's Pizza.  Cannot be combined with any other offers/coupons.  Must present coupon upon purchase.  Expires 1/14/14* ...An expired coupon for Pizza? Such a wonderful expression of love! How do I get out of here... You see a door .

A musical trance seance under control by the hand of a shadow A "Du hast" to a "Loco" To a "beautiful people" A fraction of symphony, Sent by the gods of rock Spiderweb rooms an corridor covered with the entrance to darkness set in place with danger light's, Strobe lights, an a fog machine set on auto A haunted feel to a shack left cold an abandoned. Equipped with superior beings and extended solo's of 6 string guitar's along with drum's and distorted bass guitar, setting the rhythm for our soul's,Feeding threw 4 large kickers. This shadow was me Venom Decorated in crow face paint, Along with black attire to match my attitude People came and went and came again Supporting my and there craving for sublime sound But one, the one, my goddess, my angel of death came to my dwelling, she came with a message To indulge in my love But also to give me a message of misery To break me free of this chaotic world i was fixed in, with a bite to my fingertip the purified pressure was on She wore the same colors as I Only more dragged inline's More pain, More beauty than she could see I stared into her crystal corroded bloodshot eyes I seen deep within herself I saw pain, I saw hate for her fire, I saw hate from others I had seen everything and nothing I arose from my slumber to meet her in the darkness or mothers sleep To give mother a great vision, a great dream and it was this My angel of death, Meeting face to face, Eye to misery, Cure to disease, Beauty to ugly. The words rolled off her tongue like the greatest embrace to a lover Her words were sweet and seductive Sprinkled with tears of a suicidal mind and a scarred wrist. Then in a perfect moment are perfect tender love met with crying eyes and black lipstick. Within that moment i ingested her misery I took it and gave her what she deserved Beauty After the release of this lover's choice We met vision and from there i seen the truth I could never release her from this insanity Only pamper or even embrace it This timeless motion of misery will never stop ticking in my heart Not till it expires!

Shrek is love, I told them, Shrek is dreck, they answer. So I make this poem, to give them the cancer. Shrek is life, I’m groaning, while they’re battering me. I don’t care, I’m flying, over the devilry. I don’t care that I bleed, because my Shrek is here. I know he’s behind me, with strong ogre muscles. He will venge what they did, and feel them with sweet fear. Stronger than an army, he’s only leaving skulls. But what if he succumbs, what if he expires ? No, you cannot get him, he is stronger than God. Wonder from where he comes, maybe he pulls the wires. The bullies were all gone, thanks to my green best friend. And just for all he’s done, friendship does never end. Shrek is love, Shrek is life, and Shrek is everywhere.

A Shrek Story
The tightrope expires And the skyscraper hollows out. This hate is vicious and repeated, Repeated; repeated on the news reel, And in a Hollywood romance. We’re skipping generations Through faded vinyl sound Of dust mite and crack; I’m folding digits over chords, Extinguishing lovers By turning them to songs. Oh, reality convenes, convenes On the mind, and on the consciousness Of fact. Don’t steal my job, Don’t **** my land, And never fall asleep Under the sun. There is poetry to mathematics, Scaling the harmonics of the sound, Some universal language; Some bottled message to our brothers Who are looking back at us From the distance of the stars. And, terror is called from every side, Until we’re terrified to eat or breathe, In the tremor of a terror That can never come to be. The tightrope fell down with the buildings, But its idea, it still lives on. We could be on the precipice of better times, Or under the shadow of a nuclear bomb.

The War On Ourselves
"When a person is born it's a blessed time, Albeit a person is in love it's a splendid era, When that person perishes it is a bereaved era, Albeit Love of two people expires it's a cataclysm, Vestige as we used to sit there on the littoral, As the dusk of the winds would blow the sand, The sand pursues into your long black hair, Visage your dark green eyes and a beauty of a smile, All times I have enjoyed greatly also suffered greatly, Times you loved me and alone on the shore, It is an perpetual power that as my utopia, Is me ichorous of our love moments together, Afore us lies the port and a skimming ocean liner, As we slowly see an alluvion gloom in the darkness, Legions of souls drudged here in day and night, Above gusting drifts the rainy constellation of stars, As we gambol in our fervor of cognizance of love in our Utopia Ichorous" By Andrew Guzaldo 08/03/2018 © Posted HP/

“UTOPIA ICHOROUS”
ghosts of slumber parties past. just a haunted betamax & a stack of oreo sandwiches. sisters braiding eachother’s hair far past the witching hour, contemplating life without supervision. blue house. yellow lawn. silverback gorilla in one garage. two garage: empty. three garage: a woman entombed in exhaust. [her bloated tongue] a gang of bmx boys pizza-fed and friday-high, hopped up on mountain dew and trading card collectible rituals ‘n rhythmics. they conjure a demon just to **** and dismember it. for funsies. for keepsies. a fang for the shrine at the foot of the old oak tree. history on the skin, long history, long thoughts, long in the nod like a calm dead frog. bubbled, boiled, toiled, and troubled. the woods aren’t haunted. you are haunted. you are the conduit through which the darkness displays its vivid colors. [treefort aflame] the seasons furrow/ / the leaves fall. little plots of land etched out – subdivision and sprawl. on the avenue, heaven & hell made tame and tangible. built, re-built, and refurbished – a lawn and a lantern. a mortgaged glory of sparkle and decay. [dead cat is a new cat is the old cat ran away] pictograms of morning light display on mom’s face as she instructs us on the gusts of love [scrambed eggs] & teaches us the truth of nettles sprung from violent pine. [toast with raspberry jam] the television. the microwave. the blender beverages. hymnals of an electric kingdom. one mom dances, the other expires. [restless armless girls in orange sunsets] girl with a gun at the edge of her lawn and selling lemonade. girl in an old wicker chair. save her horror story for another day. boy with a bent frame bicycle limps his way home from one end of the avenue to the other. his pockets full of sparkly rocks found in the lime quarry pit. one boy in a long line of lost planets. the driveway. the refrigerator. the hum of a saturday night commercial-free cassette. where’s dad? the glow of an eerie crystal (continued…)

Its little Ether Hood
Ill rip out your eyeballs as ornaments for my ears, and inflict on you the nightmares that you dished out for years. You will live in my dungeon and feed on dry bread while I feast at a table close to your head. And for every birthday I'll cut off one finger and leave it to rot so the smell of it lingers. You will keep your tongue for the names you'll recite of the ones that you hurt and treated with spite. And the day that the terror expires your life I'll hang you on a lamp pole on the highway in full sight. And you will be remembered as a pathetic soul who picked on gentle women you tried to control. And justice will rise like a bright morning sun, A coward is dead and his abusing is done.

A Sonnet for Abusive Men
my mist expires in your atmosphere linen sheets adhere around my throat, no fear smell pheromones in the air it's crystal clear, my dear i am amiss without you near self-controlled white-knuckle hold now conquered cold and longing to spy a songbird if only for a single moment and nothing longer i am somber but mighty fond of her strong enough to say it still and stronger now to do smart enough to ponder it here but dumb enough to squander it too red hearts are lies beating blood flows blue it is true, did you hear? i'm amiss without you near i thought we were musketeers turns out you're the puppeteer pulling my strings, was as I feared another way to ingratiate and endear while I'm tied here waiting to hear a footstep to take the next step another level for this intimate project but from this aspect with all due disrespect you subject me to intense neglect you're a ****** architect speaking scintillating dialects only I can connect but I am a bad girl... so I guess I deserve it my favorite show now that you mention is when you are standing at attention you brighten your eyes and your voice changes inflection my indiscretion becomes your intention but I digress, and bite through, throughout this blissful rendezvous as we float like a feather into the bedroom together past dawn until noon it must be true i am amiss without you

I am amiss without you
In one who felt as once he felt, This might, perhaps, have fann’d the flame; But now his heart no more will melt, Because that heart is not the same. As when the ebbing flames are low, The aid which once improved their light, And bade them burn with fiercer glow, Now quenches all their blaze in night. Thus has it been with Passion’s fires— As many a boy and girl remembers— While every hope of love expires, Extinguish’d with the dying embers. The first, though not a spark survive, Some careful hand may teach to burn; The last, alas! can ne’er survive; No touch can bid its warmth return. Or, if it chance to wake again, Not always doom’d its heat to smother, It sheds (so wayward fates ordain) Its former warmth around another.

On Finding A Fan
The party starts at ten to three. On the second floor, room twenty two two vicars who had come down from Crewe were wondering just what to wear, to the shindig going on down there. They collided, both decided to put on crimson frilly frocks, this was not a 'do' for cassocks or for smocks. Room forty four up on the forth, was Lucy Ann,a double barrelled name of course,a horsey type who came by invite to liven lively up the night. In number ten slept teacup Ken,who had never once imbibed, the porter was slipped a twenty, but was bribed to keep his big mouth shut, as ties were cut and Ken found Zen in a brandy glass, and discovered parties were a gas. The police arrived to room fifty five and found Miss Sterling doing the jive around the severed head of Fred the cook, poor Fred never had any kind luck. There is no escape from the party at Lancaster Gate and those who come are those who'll die but the party is so flamin' good I'll try to sneak in,got to take a peek in room number twenty seven, where it's said, that the lady there can show you several kinds of heaven before you meet your doom. Got to get in, get a room, check in time expires at noon. I shall no doubt expire, naked by the fire in room, one o one.

Fiesta
**Love... Quite edible one could imagine. Some may be famished beyond imaginary boundaries due to his or her own taste. From sweet kisses, to bitter love, to varieties of flavor that spices up our lives. We drink lover's spit if we care enough at the moment we see them, the edible ones because, quite frankly the taste is so grand... Only through time will we be seasoned to find perfection, Until then it lingers, as our taste buds crave for more. Something so tasteful that... a man would swallow his pride, a woman would eat her doubts, a new born will sip it's nourishments, a free food that no one could ever get full from... Yet if prepared in the wrong conditions, love could spoil and poison you, harm you, destroy you... So make the best out of the ingredients that you have, To make it a grand feast that lasts, before it all expires and goes to waste.... Let this marinade... Before it becomes your food for thought. Let your cravings state that you are what you eat... lovely soul food.**

Soul Food
Louder than Monsters By: Calla Fuqua I can’t unhear your ignorance, I can’t unsee your belligerence, The potential difference you swore you’d make, and the carnivorous path You chose to take. You are louder than monsters. Heaven must scare you and your desire to dissipate, Your chance to incriminate, the problems you exacerbate, I can’t articulate your need to intoxicate. Your laughter is louder than monsters. You fabricat your pity you pretend to give, as you wait for me to forgive, That night I have to relive when I dream, of our short lived view of how happiness seemed. Back then how could I have known that you were louder than monsters. Your grip on me becomes tighter, the more your desire for me expires, The more you secretly become a liar, and the more I ask myself why her? Her voicemails are louder than monsters. I end up on the floor, after you hit me and you swore, You don’t say I love you anymore, the way you used to before, And now I’m just your little ***** you pretend to love as if it’s a chore. Your silence is louder than monsters. I pray for you and the guilt you must feel, screaming out our window, frantic to appeal, for the pain you caused solely so you could heal. Your lies are louder than monsters. You laugh when I say no, giving me a messed up world you pretend to know, Now it’s my turn to outgrow you and your plateau, the one you promised To let go. While I undergo the pain you overflow. My screams are louder than monsters. I still tell myself you love me after you throw your fists, holding tight to my wrists, As I keep allowing the crimes you commit, to become imprints from the pain you inflict. This pain is louder than monsters. Now, nobody seems sincere, every scar is like a souvenir, You leave me speechless, when you sip your beer, like you didn’t just make my whole world disappear, You say you are not louder than monsters. All I can do now is reminisce, look back on moments like our first kiss, Before you led me into this abyss, before I was unable to dismiss the thought, “What kind of monster does this?” Someone who doesn’t know he is louder than monsters. I dream about the day I can throw out your ashtray, The day I can cast away you whole, no more arms to control my body’s soul, A day where I no longer have to be your wife, A day where I can play a character in my own life. A day where love is louder than monsters

I'm through loving you with my heart For it expires It expires like everything else In my body I want to love you with my soul To stand the test of time To last beyond a lifetime I want to be able to say, "I'm all yours." Without anything in this universe Contradicting my statement. I'm all yours. -D.D.

Sentiments
Never enough. Never enough of anything. It's always running low, running out. Money, energy, time. The fuel gauge threatens empty. The bank balance teeters and tips into the red. Almost out of smokes, and there's one last shot in the bottle. The car tax expires in two days. You've been exhausted since forever. You can't kid yourself that you're young any more. Clocks tick just to **** with you. It's dark, but not as dark as it gets.

Losing Light
If I told you I killed myself at 16 would you believe me? Or just say "young Dougie is just miss behaving" slaving, as I am chained and serving society who is caving, and ask god for gifts that even he found entertaining...when a boy grows up his insides start changing and the tint of red in his heart dims and starts fading, he felt pain at its highest, experienced the attitude of a liar and seen 1st hand what it means when a "GOOD THING" just expires. He grows tired and tense while blood drips from his hand, broken glass on the floor... he punched the reflection of a man… who seems injustice and corrupt, always pushin his luck, and remains silent when addressed, he so easily erupts. Takin shots of big dreams with NyQuil in a cup, "good" imaginative girls around him, he's just too messed up...liquor doesn't help his mind, still stuck in a rut, and the shakes only means his temperatures gon up. You see the high in his eyes, where he constantly lies, never looks you in the face, just looks on the other side, one of a kind guy, never been a afraid to die, don't ask this guy why? Cause he will never reply. Communication he never lacked, he just speaks better over a track, Give him a pen, white paper, A smooth beat and watch him rap. And listen closely to his story, pay close attention to the facts, visualize all his words, And dissect his true meaning Of a brain dead poet who uses his pen filled of integrity with a pad made of dreaming. *Don't ask me to save your soul, or rescue your burning heart from a building... I'm no superhero, just a modern day fake EVIL villain...* -Dougie Simps

They talk of short-lived pleasure--be it so-- Pain dies as quickly; stern, hard-featured pain Expires, and lets her weary prisoner go. The fiercest agonies have shortest reign; And after dreams of horror, comes again The welcome morning with its rays of peace. Oblivion, softly wiping out the stain, Makes the strong secret pangs of pain to cease: Remorse is virtue's root; its fair increase Are fruits of innocence and blessedness; Thus joy, o'erborne and bound, doth still release His young limbs from the chains that round him press. Weep not that the world changes--did it keep A stable, changeless state, 'twere cause indeed to weep.

1. There’s an “e” in your name. 2. It’s also composes a syllable of it. 3. Things will always empty, no matter what. Even bottles, for example. Especially ones that contained alcohol. You seemed to enjoy emptying those quite a lot. 4. Once, I emptied a pen of it’s ink while writing about you. 5. There is no “e” in my first name, but you pronounced it as if there was, replacing the first “a” with an “e”. 6. I always, and still do, get annoyed whenever people mispronounce my name, but never when you did it. I always knew that you were the one calling it. You were the one thing I was always sure of. 7. The other night, I tried to think of other things that started with “e” and “a”. I found “always” and “eventually”. Just as you substituted the “e” for the “a”, we substituted “always” for “eventually”. 8. Or maybe it could stand for “eventually an alcoholic”? 9. I just wish that you could have emptied your heart out to us just as easily as you could empty a bottle down your throat. 10. Ever since you told us that you drove home drunk I’ve been thinking about writing an eulogy. 11. Please don’t make me write one. Not while we’re so young. 12. Eventually, everything expires, like our patience, our vitality, and our days. 13. You haven’t spoken to anyone in months, and I don’t know how to reach you, or if you even want me to. When I saw your mother this past October, I wanted to ask her if she knew had badly you had been struggling, but I didn’t because I know that you would have hated me for it. There was a reason you had tried to keep your addiction a secret. 14. The letter “e” is the most used letter in the alphabet. How can you ask me to forget you when nearly every word I write has a trace of you in it? 15. I would never pick up a pen again if it meant that I could hear you mispronounce my name one more time.

The dew is frozen. It glitters on the ground like crystal, Diamonds to those who see. It brings an edge to the world, As though everything’s in sharp focus. So ephemeral, this frosty dew, Gracing us only so long as it’s permitted. Its cold beauty is breathtaking, And demands silent reverence. So why, then, do people find it Nothing more than a nuisance, And yet gripe when its life expires? Beautiful even in death, The dew blesses our sight with its grace, Reminding us that every so often, Silence must be kept, So that the world may speak to our hearts.

The rimer quenches his unheeded fires, The sound surceases and the sense expires. Then the domestic dog, to east and west, Expounds the passions burning in his breast. The rising moon o'er that enchanted land Pauses to hear and yearns to understand.
