"everblue" poems
Red, Yellow, Blue What to do, what to do Me and you? Not a clue What to do, what to do Learn to sew, not to sue Let the colors change their hue Let the sea stay everblue What to do, what to do Let the moon come to you Be a pal, lend me two Turn around, enjoy the view What to do, what to do Let your heart follow through Make your dreams come true Never tell me what to do What to do, what to do

Red, Yellow, Blue
Blue, blue Everblue Tearing earth asunder As a dear friend who I am Some might call me water. Blue, blue Everblue Look, oh look at me! Home to plants and fish alike Some would call me sea Blue, blue Everblue Earth has me in bonds Bugs across my surface skim I am called a pond. Blue, blue Everblue 'Cross country like a sliver Tossing, swerving, bubbling, laughing I was named a river. Blue, blue Everblue Cover me in love. Boats and fins across me swim. I am called a cove.

EverBlue
it rains and i smile. dopamine pumps as water vapor excited by evaporation and exalted by the elevation, wishes to remain in the clouds. but the float is fleeting and eventually a rain falls. with it the water, so enlightened by the episode, returns to the surface as it was before but somehow new. to remember but never miss being a gas, understanding the evanescence of effervescence while everblue junipers caress the wet sidewalk and twigs hug the curb as they float down the street. tomorrow sand will appear at the edges of the road. I haven't watered my garden in over a week. but now spear shaped tendrils of liquid hydrogen monoxide plummet down at twenty two miles per hour making patterns across the wet surface of the earth. in the bright spots rain drop splashes stumble back and forth across the dance floor like cymbal crashes. wasps, grounded by wet wings, begin their slumber early, jaws locked, legs dangling off the stem of a flower whose petals are battered and wet. the newly pregnant ocean swells unnoticeably. streams emerge, rivers rob banks, puddles form around orangeskin pores; and the everblue junipers caress the wet sidewalk. triggering the docile drum of dopamine, pulsing, pumping. prompting the corners of the eating, speaking, spitting hole to elevate, elongate, ebb, and stretch apart exposing crooked violent jagged bones that broke our gum. the docile drum. as water vapor comes to understand the evanescence of effervescence to a syncopated beat, i smile.

everblue junipers caress the wet sidewalk and twigs hug the curb as they float down the street. tomorrow sand will appear at the edges of the road. I haven't watered my garden in over a week. now spear shaped tendrils of liquid hydrogen dioxide plummet down at twenty two miles per hour making patterns across the wet surface of the earth. in the bright spots rain drop splashes stumble back and forth across the dance floor like cymbal crashes. wasps, grounded by wet wings, begin their slumber early, jaws locked, legs dangling off the stem of a flower whose petals are battered and wet like fry ready fish. the newly pregnant ocean swells unnoticeably. streams emerge, rivers rob banks, puddles form around orangeskin pores; and the everblue junipers caress the wet sidewalk.

Wet Plan(e)t
Sitting, quietly, seaside I was with you, yes, you Of the shiningly black hair Glistening, seemingly with every Ray drop of sunlight and every Tide of wave swam ashore And I was there Gazing, silently, ocean Expanding endlessly beyond vision We were holding each other’s hands It felt good holding your hands Catching minute glimpses of your eyes Watching the vast everblue Fearful and scared of the future But still beautiful; exuding allure Even after all this time Because I’ll never get tired of the ocean No matter if it speaks every word carefully And lies the next sentence I’ll never hate the ocean Even when I drown or spent years Swimming, shallow, waters

At seaside
Yesterday circles above me, waiting for my strength to drain. this god awful desert tortures me; this heat, this pressure, this smell— i can’t taste anymore, just breathe. my feet trudge wherever they must; the next mirage, mere sand & dust. my burnt ember skin peels off in layers & my knees hit the crust. how can i deserve this? i cry out. & Yesterday’s shriek pierces the air, my ears can’t stop ringing, it’s all they hear. on my back now, i force my eyes shut. give me blackness, i cry. but the sun bleeds through no matter how hard i try, & the night has been absent for what seems like months. Yesterday circles closer, closer, just right above, wings fanning my face. i hear it now, it’s finally landed; but i dare not move as it claws near. a rush of cool air kisses my face, i breathe deep, breathe long, & dare not let it go. i can smell it now, just inches away- a most foul stench of pure decay. but as it draws closer, closer, i hear a whisper, from where? i don’t know, but it says: Fear nothing. i peel my eyes slowly, lash by lash. the everblue sky never looked so nice, and how the sun radiates such glowing warmth. i can’t help stare at it, feeling its rays, brighter and brighter and brighter and— Yesterday’s a thousand miles away.

Deserted
I looked through the seas with the way I look at you— skydeep and everblue.
