i love you i love every breath you take i love every sound that escapes your lips as i kiss that spot between your jaw and neck i love the way your hands touch my skin, no rush, nothing to prove, nothing but pure love braiding itself within my heart and reassuring my mind i love the way your voice sounds in the morning when sleep is thick in your throat and your eyes are heavy

i
     love
              you
please
     please
              stay

A moment.

The line between
empowered
& defiant

Holding within in it
the tenderness of our gaze

The night calls me
sometimes
tauntingly,
while sleep escapes,
sometimes
earnestly
to show me the truth
that day hides

It calls deep within
my being,
like you
It resonates with
my darkness,
like you

With your hands in mine,
relaxed and assured,
I find my balance,
to toe the line

Will you stay with me?
For a moment?

Of real honesty
& if you want,
silence

The valley of space there,
& between us
pulling me in,
like you

A moment of
freefall
& endless endings

Our happiness,
there to be chosen

Where we find a way
to be suspended
in the warmth
between you & I

I stand on the edge,
below, the water surges
over the rock face
deep teal and chilling
a reminder that
beautiful can also be destructive

Like you.

In awe and wonder
I'm trapped
in these moments
Inspired by the great beauty of British Columbia and how it's grandeur and imposing nature can be reminiscent of imperfect love
A horror movie scene as the heroine escapes.
Everything is still besides her convalescing breaths and the distant, chasing wind.
Not a noise is heard, except the fall leave's rattle and the birch wood's moaning bark in the moonlight.
Her body slouches into the protection of a shed and shrouds itself in the aroma of cut grass.
A tense brow relieves and tired eyes close, able to accept the momentary peace, and a place to call refuge.

A possible misstep turns into crunched leaves outside, wild eyes scramble towards their opaque barricade.
Sly pieces of garden equipment leash a weathered jacket in place as she attempts to stand.
A cackle is heard, a shriek undone.
To spite the brittle wood, the formulaic jump-scare-skeleton-hand bursts through the shed's solicitous walls, set to declare the last of a weary soul as his own.
The wind catches up and spearheads any hole it can find.
It begins whistling around the dim room like a tornado elated to havoc behind a castle's walls.
The tree bark howls, the leaves, now delight.
We learn there is no reprieve for a begging champion.
The camera backs out of the splintered hole and pans over a sated forest to face the waning moon.
The hero succumbs with muted screams to a gore far below and out of frame.
The only closure, a black screen, with bright white letters, slowly scrolling up.

The end.
Just something I had fun writing, figured not posting it would be a waste despite it not being "poetry", just an experiment I guess. I feel like it would be good, in like, a high-school, short story competition. lmfao.

Can someone please tell me
On which plane we now reside?
Valuing the cheap laughs that the
Freakish Trump provides?
Existential crisis doesn't seem
Far off to me, when war and strife
Escapes our eye, in our frivolity.
Although not immune to the humour in Trumps tweets, one shakes the head a little too often these days when so many serious and grave things are happening globally.

Every moment away from you
A curse with no end
The miles that tear us apart
Sink into my heart
When I can´t hear your voice
Everything else is noise

A dagger that cuts
Blood streams forth
It drips at first
But then it pours
Life escapes me
Ebbs away
Thick and cold it runs
It chills me to the bone...

And as the embers of my life grow dead
And my senses start to go numb
Reach out to me and touch me
Button my lips to yours…
And once you do, stay
Please don´t leave me alone
It is so cold when you leave me
It is so dark when I don´t have your love
I notice I repeat a lot of words when I write, that is something to try and correct but I like how this one ended up

Come whichever way it is your choice
Choose your way as you please.
The ground is laid down beneath you
All around smooth simply a polished circle
once you're in you are covered you won’t lose.

Just as the sun never misses, is spot on!
At the end of the day escapes into the dark
mixes and rolls in the shadow of the moon.
A light in the dark, a straight line in curve
does its dance and bounce.
Tests and retests the golden ratio
shining at the sunrise angle.
