Es ist Unsinn
sagt die Vernunft
Es ist was es ist
sagt die Liebe
Es ist Unglück
sagt die Berechnung
Es ist nichts als Schmerz
sagt die Angst
Es ist aussichtslos
sagt die Einsicht
Es ist was es ist
sagt die Liebe
Es ist lächerlich
sagt der Stolz
Es ist leichtsinnig
sagt die Vorsicht
Es ist unmöglich
sagt die Erfahrung
Es ist was es ist
sagt die Liebe
It is nonsense
says reason
It is what it is
says love
It is misfortune
says calculation
It is nothing but pain
says fear
It is what it is
says love
It is ridiculous
says pride
It is careless
says caution
It is impossible
says experience
It is what it is
says love

J.K. Rowling is the latest
to call herself a bloke.
Three Bronte sisters
Made up male names
So they could write,
Not vote.
George Elliot
Was the nom de plume
of a British lady fair.
In Victorian times
It was de riguer
For a girl to feign
a pair.
Distaff scribes
Are not alone
In borrowing a name
Sam Clemens took
As “nom De Guerre”
The river cry
“Mark Twain”
And Stephen King
Who writes so fast
That he’s in overdrive
Adopted Richard
Bachmann as a name
And used it
for some time.
George Orwell
Once was Erich Blair
Lewis Carroll
was Charles Dodson.
“The Hobbit”
Was my nom de plume
But now
I haven’t got one.

I have this quote in my diary. apparently I was already reading Erich Fromm as a teenager. I don't remember reading Fromm that long ago BUT I can definitely recommend the books: "the Art of Love" and "The Art of Human Destructiveness" because those are two books I have given to friends.

*heretical grammar: the finite article is defined by ego... the infinite article is defined by god... **** your Freudian trinity.*
when you first learn a language, you are taught the language
in order to synthesise it...
it takes about 20 years of having synthesised the language
to then analyse it, and analysis of an acquired tongue
is a comforting walk through the halls of
Shiva kissing Hades like Erich Honecker and Leonid Brezhnev;
you turn toward the way in which the language is
programmed, silenced, encoded, you check
the orthography, what's missing... i'm astounded to see
how no one spotted missing diacritical marks in english,
for fuck's sake... the greeks are even using them!
no wonder england became such a ******** after the reigning
power on a global scale... this is a Copernican gosh!
it'll reign for some time; well, we know that Cyrillic is
the evolved form of Greek, that paved the way for
Mendeleev - i guess straining the sound encryption will
make you see things differently, or as the English say
in Essex: the H might as well be a surd.

And more, so many more, a cloud of witnesses
Whose names are written in gold on a scroll in Heaven
But somehow, in this world of beauty and truth
And humanity’s aspirations to the good
All you have found are bullhorns, trash fires, chants
Clinched fists, obscenities, lies, and shrieking hate
