Transience gazes the profound(10&5)
Ode to a Sunflower I dare not speak against her beauty; beauty which encompasses the spirit of truth, the spirit of faithfulness, the spirit of light. I was walking alone in desolation when I encountered the blinding sight of my sunflower. There it was staring at me with its inviting eyes, eyes which seemed a little lost, a little troubled, a little like mine. My hand trembled as it wiped the disbelief from my vision. The seeds which I had planted in an attempt to dispel my restless woes had sprout up in a seemingly un-fertile place, a place where I could not fathom I would find my Sunflower. But there it was in all its beauty: eloquent, mysterious and enchanting. A vivid portrait of heavenly grace. all could witness , yet, one could possess. I dare not speak against her beauty; beauty which encompasses the spirit of truth, the spirit of faithfulness, the spirit of light. From the moment I found my sunflower I did my best to nurture it, watering its spirit from sunrise to sunset. The beauty for which it possessed was captivating; stirring my very being like no other flower has prior. I spent days, months and years analyzing this gem. I wondered why this sunflower was so singular in its splendor, why after so long in my possession was it still shining brighter than a summer star painted against a black night. My admiration and love for this sunflower matured uncontrollably, cultivating in a whirlwind of blissful sunshine. I dare not speak against her beauty; beauty which encompasses the spirit of truth, the spirit of faithfulness, the spirit of light. Though my sunflower possesses the strength of a thousand armies and the magnificence of a thousand smiles, I sense a feeling of weakness when the wicked birds of prey attempt to uproot it from its rightful plot. I caress its pedals and speak to it softly assuring that there is a purpose for the gloom, and that upon all of us the rain of opposition will fall. I clutch its head into mine as splendid pedals of fluorescent beauty tickle my face, making me blush with joy. I whisper to my sunflower as I drop my seed next to her stalk, and I tell it that no matter what storms may sing, there will be no challenge to our garden as long as we continue to grow together.

*erstwhile a halcyon extant universe incessantly ceaseless cradled itself in hues of violet phosphorescence laced with cobalt shimmering stars perpetually whole it nonetheless sought to know itself encompassing all that is bubbling over in effervescent ebullience intertwined with indescribable catastrophic splendor it shattered into tens of millions of splinters of eloquent efflorescent light shining in the night each splinter heretofore imbued with sempiternal felicity began to conjure sumptuous dulcet elixirs furtively seeking out savory emollients to mollify the pique of separation plummeting they fell into monstrous competition seeking demesne they lost the purpose of gaining awareness and intelligent consciousness surreptitious estrangement overflowed deluging them in excruciating agony thus an epiphany was born the carving of the beleaguered fragments inked with tremendous pain created a transfiguration of splinters to crystals hence enlightenment commenced as the gems magnetized together constructing a world where omnipotence shines the ineffable beauty formed by the reintegration of crystals far exceeds the original as they dazzle with universal light bursting from diamonds etched in deep wisdom flooding the firmament with kaleidoscopic rainbow strobes cascading the sky ©2016janetaylor

Stumbling into ancient scripts, authored a decades plus ago, ago being a modifier of time quantities, minute or large, unspecific without an objective adjective additive, that faucets a stream of an interlocutory elocution of a batter of rooted emotional histories, but not histrionics fanciful words for dredged up memories, acute, but tarnished, powered yet worn by a cousin of ago, a/k/a, age and yet renews as of, at this very second, as if it were a first, a tumult of visions, swelling of remembrances, embodied scars, and I weep anew but not for me, as much for the resonating simpatico souls with whom they even  now vibrate with resonance of the immediacy of If not now, When? Aside: The exterior environment is noisy wet pelting of thunderstorms and ****** sheets of bulleting rain, piercing projectiles, but I am safe in the sunroom, sadly happy my dog is no longer here to shiver and tremble, cuddle and be soothed by steady stroking But I am here, wrestling with this dredging operation, digging up tons of sand that require dumping, and I ask, inquire, beg: Who will take this detritus off my hands, once more, now uncovered, now recovered, the soil is already soaked and can absorb no more, the soul is already soaked and can absorb no more, the weakened heart, damaged and occluded, suffer cannot bare twice the outrageous misfortune of unbared recollections, twice, or thrice, and I feel myself drowning in revisiting pain, **** **** **** these old poems, not nuggets, but boulders dropping from night skies, shot from a pitching machine, without letup, piercing of agonies that once ago   freshly desecrated and decorated my basic training in humanity. Enough whining: *I wrote those poems to eject out those pains, and I write this now, once more, to realize that so so many still face uncertain and unrelenting similarities, doing their own sums, and I wish them easing, strength to compose and thereby dispose of the ineloquent and eloquent words of staining suffering* 3:30am Thur July 10 2025

Open your heart paint your dream. Do it in the broad daylight, it’s your colour scheme.   If the twilight falls on your colour plate before you’re done painting the noon, keep drawing down the moon! Breakthrough at the first light. No sunrise is any bird’s sleeping pillow. They are on their wings, out and tweeting, singing on the past night’s dreamscene. Any of the fair duo, the Sun or the Moon, sleek sunny golden or the silver line, neither one of those can you catch. They know their science   like you count your time. You can set your mind any time, pick any number to count your time, but you won’t have the last one. There isn’t one, the mind is spotless fine. But if the solar-lunar duo can count the last: ask them to stop the time.   Be truthful as you speak. Open the heart into your eloquent word. Never think you are alone, you are complete with the complete world!

Open Your Heart Paint Your Dream
The way I lust isn't fair I fall for an eloquent stare But the heartbeat's not there How can my lips need one thing And my knees another To fly or to fall That's the choice isn't it after all?

She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that’s best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellowed to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impaired the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o’er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling place. And on that cheek, and o’er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent!

She Walks In Beauty
If you weren't dark skin you'd blush, You and your pleasantly "spring" demeanor, blooming smiles in secret inside your hazmat suit, from any type of feelings, you are already infected, -- and contagious, yet refuse to admit the goosebumps on your neck, without the fortunate luxury of showing your emotion society has deemed you timeless, an eloquent flagrant aroma, the definition of fine wine with a zest -- a spiciness of an impatient "summer", you are warm, and the stem of your smiles comes with thorns of poison, weapons of mass destruction, so you're cloaked, tucked away from societal norms, and expectations --  who are we to judge, you are correct, your skin, is the right tone, to grab the attention for all the unwelcome, literal and figuratively baring a cluster of ideas, wants, desires -- requested by only the elite, pasteurized and preserved until then.

A yellow ladybird waiting for the light to turn red. Patiently awaiting what's to come. She knows better than to make rude gestures at the light. It won't make it change any quicker. She knows she can spend her time better than being an angst-ridden insect cynically hating phonies. It's true patience is a virtue and she sticks by this principle. No matter what they say, a principle's a principle. The yellow ladybird knows a lot of things. A delightful delinquent who enjoys reading eloquent literature and can tell you who painted that pretty picture. But she is still just a yellow ladybird. Still only learning how to operate in this world. But when the light turns red, then she will know. Know more than she does now. Soon the yellow ladybird will see the light, be it the light she would've liked or not, I can not say. Only she can decide if the waiting was worth it. And for her poor soul, I hope it was.

--- the raw wounded words in Braille awaiting a tender, gentle touch waiting for a voice the silent ones stare upward at the sun their eyes streaming tears notes that resonate they fall into uncaring soil silver seeds screaming with none to listen do they not listen to us? the fortunate with full rich operatic tenors --- i have heard them the two words as eloquent as a simple "i love you" those two words? HELP ME.

Corpses proliferate in soaring violence; heirloom of franchise and eminence— perish in erosion. Timid denizens of derision, cynicism in roaring silence — optimism’s paling vapor—commodity of Indecision, our halcyon days forgotten. Chosen token of audacity; the onyx maladroit feigns, prevaricating beneath the Sacred canopy. Etudes of apathy; attrition unlamented; streams of guile— quixotic squall conversely merge — veiled conceit, eloquent arrow of equivocation. The policy of attenuation. Treason’s vine obscured beneath the blind surf of consent. © 2014 & 2016 W. S. Warner

I sometimes take words that were first used by others (I'm About to admit I'm a bit of a crook) Re-hash and re-use them, and make my own covers- Stealing little known lines from an eloquent book. I've stolen from Shakespeare, yanked words off of Yeats, And pilfered from Plato and Brown; I've probably swiped stuff off all of the greats, And many of zero renown. There's more to be heard in the wise words of Wilde Or took from a Tennyson line Or the thinking out loud of an inquisitive child, Than could spill forth from this pen of mine. So if I've stolen from you, and perchance have offended, (Yes- I'm about to steal Shakespeare again) Just think but this, and all is mended; Nothing original came from my pen. Which means that, eventually, all that I've ever done Will be lost in the shadows of time, Skipped over, or lost, and simply outdone By your works original shine.

Word Thief
poetry is photography: the photography of your soul it begins as an observation captured in stuttering syntax: the lens of your soul pointing towards a subject, a metaphor, a line within you, within the world, within the two. if vague and smudgy this image at first, the lines rearrange themselves, the grammar settles, and the image comes into focus - sharp and still. as you would a camera, approach things at angles, you flood your poetry with perspective, with self, with distance, stamp yourself onto it, and you know it belongs as yours. and you know you have captured that pearl in an oyster, those millions of dying stars exploding within you, an image of yourself. yet, sometimes, you're out of film and however you click the shutter, your words fall off the lines, burst into dissonance, or finds itself unwritten. like photography, you do not expect a stable yield of inspiration. then, with the years, you lay your poetry on a wall - chronologically, alphabetically, thematically, or anything - and you will step back to see a montage of your life in eloquent snapshots. if poetry should ever be photography - then - it would be the photography of one's soul.

off limits
The antique shop, a cauldron where memories from far and near boil and froth, where chronological order didn't matter, time stood still, part real, as much magic, different lives from distant lands and time rolled in to one. Here they met, by chance,a man and a mysterious woman, with an eye for unusual, among what was  on display were things a conman would seek and also favorite stuff fit for  kings, artifacts and articles they must have used or hankered after. Past uses these museum pieces as baits for us, secretly preparing us to surrender before future, unkind and rude in mind; he changed roles as both con and king, there was a constant yes, she was the mate in each he couldn't take  eyes  off her, and she asked what he looks for, "The famous ****** quilt, that was to be mine twice before, I missed making it mine, narrowly every time" He wondered how did he make up that story so quick. "I can take you to the quilt, but it isn't here" she said not a bit  hesitant He was flabbergasted by the turn of events,as if a hidden scripted move shows the way They left by her car, she was eloquent about the effects of the ****** quilt. As they stood near the ****** quilt, in this room he thought was part of an antique shop, the place looked deserted, and her eyes shone when she suggestively said "Want to test the effect? Don't be disappointed" It wasn't. How could one  imagine, that the quilt can be so voluptuous. That secret shook him out of his shell, she had  nothing to do  with antique of any kind, just another visitor like him, and the quilt was an ingenious plot she hatched in keeping with my sudden flourish, the quilt, was a new addition in her bed patch worked in silk, light weight, it wasn't a blanket, but ****** in its very touch it was them, the moment of adventure they found had brought the rapture, who would regret?

An ****** Quilt, Found by Chance

When do I see thee most, beloved one? When in the light the spirits of mine eyes Before thy face, their altar, solemnize The worship of that Love through thee made known? Or when in the dusk hours, (we two alone,) Close-kissed and eloquent of still replies Thy twilight-hidden glimmering visage lies, And my soul only sees thy soul its own? 0 love, my love! if I no more should see Thyself, nor on the earth the shadow of thee, Nor image of thine eyes in any spring,— How then should sound upon Life’s darkening slope The ground-whirl of the perished leaves of Hope, The wind of Death’s imperishable wing?

tuesday poem
The soliloquy of the night, what we think as falling stars and meteors, make time and space immaterial in the transmission of pain across light years. Sitting here alone, a sentinel to pain's interplanetary travel, and witness of it transforming in  to other forms, eloquent, I hear them when my eyes, acquire a sense, primordial receive the dark waves of pain in my veins a volcano palpitating to blow up in to  fireworks of emotions. Everywhere eyes could travel, is filled by night, thick, gooey, agglutinated; then the meditative darkness, dreams up a beam of  gentle light, out of its deep transcending yearning, to speak to itself,to get  an alchemy work on that pain then, the pain itself becomes a haunting journey with words this ,is how  my love, my songs in the midnight of my lonely soul, are born.

The day I fell off a mountain, these shoes were on my feet When I lay broken upon the jagged rocks, these shoes were on my feet When we walked the valley and through the creek, I felt Mother's natural peat, The day he slipped, I rescued him with these shoes upon my feet We made a fire and sat in peace with nothing but the sleet The day we grasped and found nothing there, these shoes were on my feet We drank the icy cool that she gave to us with open mouths to greet When rubble and we flew with momentous speed, these shoes were on my feet The day you brought me to the sunny hill I felt the heavenly heat Nothing below us once off the edge, even in freefall these shoes are on my feet Together we hike and row and climb like two brothers always in beat I look down to see nothing but rock and know I die with these shoes on my feet Rocks we skip on the glass-like river so smooth, eloquent, and neat We approach our doom with mighty force my shoes laced on my feet Singing of folk with not a care in the world, I and my brother do speak We do collide with the rock with unspeakable speed these shoes take the shock for my feet You lend me your tool out of kindness and I know it only takes two for a fleet Our bodies cease to move but the water still falls, these shoes twitch not on my feet I lay beside you, it feels safer than home here with these people tonight that I meet My shoulder is bashed and I lay on my front, I look back to see the shoes on my feet.
