I have my grocery list in my hand,
a pack of razor blades
a gallon of bleach
a bottle of *****
an egg
I have my grocery list in my hand,
but I am listless.

Sometimes I ***** a smile
when my dog wakes me up with his kisses
Sometimes I make eggs
for him, of course,
I would never waste them on myself
With this list, I'm gone
I make my dog eggs and me a bath
For me, bleach, *****, razor
soon to be listless no more
I open the bottle and welcome the burn
at first, I really hated how it had no clear flow but it kind of captures the sense of pointlessness and awkwardness  I was trying to portray
My sexuality was once like the Easter Bunny:

Fake
A Lie
My Cross
Loneliness
A Dead End

Now I see sexuality more like an Egg:

Real
The Truth
My Redemption
Oneness
A Rabbit Hole

The smell of burnt eggs and cigarettes
Drifted across the room
As I lay, head over heels
On the couch.

Staring across a broken window
Counting the stars in the sky.
One, two, three...
They appeared to distance each other away
As I went past five.

The neighbours were up all night
Empty bottles rattled across the floor
The sound of their laughter
Entered my dreams.

Woke up the next morning with the sun
Dancing through the curtains.
And my stomach groaning from it's emptiness

As I went to the kitchen
To throw away the burned.
The smell of fried eggs
Greeted me instead.

I turned around, her eyes
Gazed at me.
Her face mellowed through the minutes
How did you get in
I say,
I still have your keys, you dumb head.

I leaned closer and whispered
Thanks for the eggs.

Welcome to the con!  The con starts with the author, Dr. Seuss.

He's no doctor.  And that's a fact (and no it's not the only truthful

thing in this diatribe of mine).  He used the doctor moniker to

sell more books!

That guy in the book pestering the other guy to try "Green

Eggs and Ham"? Turns out to be the ham and egg salesman,

Sam I Am.

It's a motivational selling "won't take no for an answer"

how to sell book disguised as children's literature.

And Sam I Am is psychotically relentless in his pursuit of a

sale.  He needs a restraining order slapped on his ***.

"Would you eat them in a box? Would
you eat them with a fox. Would you eat
them with a goat.  Would you eat them on a
boat".  Would you eat green eggs and ham,
would you eat them Sam I Am?

                                                                   Dr. Seuss

And on and on. Sam I Am goes stalking him from page to page.

I had a friend of mine, Mustard Joe, ex war veteran with more

than twenty kills (you don't even want to know the things he's

seen) take a look into this green eggs and ham food source that

Sam I Am is pushing so hard.  Here are some of the ingredients

he may or may not have found.

Ham   --        30 grams of sugar (questionable )
--       15 grams of caffeine (untested)
Green eggs   --          Trace amounts of nicotine ( not verified)
                        --          Handfuls of ******* (rumored)

As you can see, It's not an exact science.

People. When eggs turn green, that's mother nature trying to

warn you that your food has gone bad.

But in the end, Sam I Am gets the fool to finally try the green

eggs and ham and he absolutely loves it.  Maybe the books lesson

is about to not be afraid about things you don't understand or

never tried. But I still believe there is insidious deception and

evil in the book. I have to think that way.  Because after all -- I'm

Willoughby !!
Next month I explore the possibility that the book, " Everyone Poops", is a racist metaphor.

Three Minute Warning

A messenger delivers
A three minute warning
As I lay in bed at 10:30 am
(Resting in preparation for,
not from, our oops, early morning hike).

Breakfast will be ready in 3,
Get your **** in gear or else
It will be cold, I'll be mad,
And you will answer to a
Higher Authority.

No problem cause I already know
All I need is two.

Splash water on my face
Now I'm presentable
enough to the human race,
current company probably won't be happy,
But I ain't telling her, are you?

Shave! You crazed?
It is a three day weekend,
Every day a July Fourth,
Celebrating freedom from the European tyranny,
Of shaving smooth  every day!

Splash water on my head, count with me,
Five brush strokes as you can plainly see
Is a classic case of overcompensating
In my geling n' hair stylin'

Brush my teeth, well,
I hope 2 full minutes of rinsing with  CVS
Green stuff, mouthwash, will have to suffice.

Blast my deodorant both sides,
Long and strong, wearin' now
My bold blue *** husk of musk,
Cause I am a very considerate fellow
Who happens to really have stunk.

Clean T- shirt and shorts,
Yes, clean underwear too,
Leaves me a whole minute to write this scribble.

My flip flop noises coming down the hallway,
Are the butler announcing our joint arrival,
Me and my poem.

Lest you think this is paean to men
Another grand male boast,
Be advised this ditty be writty
By a man who, while no longer gritty,
Just put jelly on his scrambled eggs
And ketchup on his toast!

Mmmmmmm there might be a poem
Lurking in that too...
Sigh, a true story.

The kisses get ******,
*** follows routine.
The dishes pile up,
waiting to be cleaned.
There are six fresh eggs
to be cracked and framed,
while the washing machine sings
its closing tune, unnamed.

Geyser's warming up

am I oK? nonono
I write too much to be healthy
I need conversation, friends
This is me talking
to a blank wall

Please talk back-
I am alone without friends

I have words, words,
so many meaningless words
that fill me up and rot
like eggs inside a hen

too many, too many

my hands shake
as they squirt out
hands urging it out

like a boy in the bathroom
on the first date
and he's so definitely in love
that that pupil-billowing
reason
has got to be!

and my words spill out
into a mess upon the floor
and writhe

that is my seed
my conversation

no one wants to talk to me

Your head is an egg on a hot sidewalk
Skull cracked and thrown to the gutter
Glimmering ooze of the soul exposed
White matter sizzling maddeningly
Big yellow eye staring, unseeing
Burnt, shrunken, stuck, *****
Endless summer, inedible novelty
Enchanted by spring’s
rustling whispers
     ... whistles swirl
in the pungent springtime breeze;
steeped with a bedazzling
        cadence
   heart dancing
to a hummingbird’s
         whirs

   waves of breath,
of little wings waft,
whooshing throughout
twining honeysuckle lattice
       a
tiny manger
beset of hidden gold
precious speckled eggs,
silver lining of smallest hopes
   fruits of fruition
   continuum beheld prize,
concealed in interwoven rootlets;

potently perfumed flowers
       while away
the waning dark hours;
swollen full flower moon
           waxing yellow,..
         heavenly fragrance
sweetly-scented suckled nectar

the one with eyes of a child,
   wonder ― hidden inside,
marvel in the light of grateful eyes
imbibing an unholdable moment's
    spellbinding elixir
    ... poetry alive

air  so poignantly perfumed
       with blossom
        moonstruck

a reverent moment's
edifying intoxication

It's “The Huge Giant ****** Show,” starring the late Frances Melville, who said, “Well, okay, I guess...I missed you so much. I thought that you had run off with an egg farmer. Have you noticed the price of eggs lately? Eggs & beef are tax-subsidized. I've been workin' outside to lose my inside status, or, Is he a 2nd cousin? It's okay in most states.”

The chilly camp-like home where I was staying,
had no running water, in winter all shut down,
but had—amplitudinous electric.

I must have been thinking extra sharp that morning,
when to electric stovetop I came; soon had boiling
Cumberland Farm’s bottled water
in a copper *** with four brown eggs.

With careful timing at last I took the four eggs out
and with the heated water applying
Barbasol and razor, so I shaved.

Please take care to not spill a single drop
of soapy water into the winterized drain pipe,

I heard in my head my sage sister say.

I discarded the contents of the ***
into a snowy patch.

Good morning, and happy happy, I sang.
I hefted one oak log onto a dying fire.

Two of the four eggs I ate,
saving the last for leaner days.

So complete--eggs
and hot shave breakfast.
