Have not seen them for quite a while
Breaking like a thousand springs
Its ripples spreading across a mile
Touching heavens on butterfly wings!

It’s infective in its length and span
Cackling joyous like a thousand duck
God would be charmed (not to speak of man)
Its spell makes every man awe struck!

It’s quite a while life is losing fun
With faces wearing botox on stressed lip
Not getting at least one when the day is done
To give this soul a stronger fillip!

I need your muscles playing around your eyes
Your cheeks raised high for me to see
Doing so would bring me double sunrise
And live each day ever more happily!
Guillaume Duchenne, French neurologist, was the first to identify the distinction between smiles real and fake.

my eyes a blue absence memories disguised in tears
I cannot be other but a song, as simple as that
I am you only in the morning, then
I commute the night to the tempo of your steps
you should come with me to the edge of noise
of haze of pearls where all begins with a duchenne smile
I am surrounded by blind walls free only in my sleep
when I fall far away from me in another you
what I say have already been said many times
by candlelight in truth and bone marrow
the fullness of my love too deep for sorrow
e. e. cummings claims the most wasted of all days is one without laughter.
Still would you concur?
With your Duchenne smile and tensed shoulders
Disappointed at the day of somber cheer and grave chuckles
Now you ask me why they suppressing their evident sadness
I want to swoop in, to shine until my death
Oh don’t ridicule me
You know in some ways you envy me,
Even if you still don’t understand me
I promise you in time…
Oh I can’t tell you it can only get better
Life starts not by asking “When?” No…
But at the moment of the second you choose to take it on

you
i picture me and you in a fictional fable
hearing bluesy piano riffs playing on the horizon
i see you coming towards me on a paper boat
having a duchenne smile, red hair with a large over coat
while i sit by the lake waiting for you to come over

we lie on painted grass looking at pink skies
where its only me and you in the city till sunrise
i look at you painting a scene with a crayon
im wearing a red dress sitting on a skylawn
a mist of emotions fly when there came the twilight sky.

we smile as we watch the sky lights and cross fires
and talk about dreams and our ideal desires
that one day slowly we will make it sway
and walk out before it all fades away.
