I tried to drown the thoughts of him in the strongest drink, but they are unaffected
and have learned to swim.

“What’s your favourite drink?
Really old scotch or champagne.”
Her wet lips.”

I want smoke in
my lungs and gin
in my veins and
lips on my
lips and chills down
my spine to feel
nothing but
pleasure blurred
dreams sweet and
brief I don't want
a thing but craving
and need
short n quick burst of frustration at boring weekdays

Soupy slurred words slide from her lips and drip to the floor,
Mixing in with the pool of regurgitated gin and tonic.
Her mouth is bitter but her thoughts are true;
Only the drunk can tell the truth.
Her incoherent words fall to the floor followed closely by her slouched figure and salty tears.
She sleeps on the bathroom floor,
Soaked in the mess she's created.

I drank away the thought of you
while you drank up your confidence
for the girl with the red nail polish
and dark brown hair

There is something about a Martini,
A tingle remarkably pleasant;
A yellow, a mellow Martini;
I wish I had one at present.
There is something about a Martini,
Ere the dining and dancing begin,
And to tell you the truth,
It is not the vermouth--
I think that perhaps it's the gin.
She ordered another drink
He was already high on her;
She sipped at her glass-
He drank in her charm, her tattoo, her careless beauty.
She made smoke rings
He inhaled the broken wisps
She left;
He served drink to the next customer.

Wine wine my love so fine.
I drink you and I do not dine.
I've enjoyed a glass
Enough to put me on my ass
Just a few dollars this love of mine.

Does it really
Will anyone even

Everyone says that
it's bad
but do they
really mean

Is it really bad
if the person is looking
for any easy way out?

We all have to daily eat and drink and also shit and piss
there isn't anything else more basic or common than this,
except a vital need to rest and get some adequate sleep
as the rigours of life take their toll on the body we keep.

Let's not forget the all-important function of breathing to stay alive
which depends so much on various conditions for anyone to thrive
and is the main ingredient for every creature's life on this world;
regardless of anything else it determines how well they're swirled.

We also have a need to keep our bodies and clothes clean
as our daily activities produce sweat and odour that is seen
and can be smelt from a distance which isn't very pleasant
making us wonder if a person noticed with is just a peasant.

There is also an inherent urge to love and be loved in return
which is what makes life worth living for those who discern,
and the very curious thought as to why we've been born at all
or the reason for our existence on this planet Earth we so call.

the best addiction is
because you can
drown your pain into
the sweet taste
of alcohol,
and forget all
about it.

Sometimes it's okay
to swallow, choke on the numb;
another drink, please.

The money in your pocket is worth something
nobody is unhappy
life is so wonderful
this is the greatest time in history
even Chief Seattle would agree.

Time has no meaning
but we're not going to give you groceries for free
so stop trying to analyze the technological society
and its effects on you
like your removal from nature
and the spiritual deficiency
of your lack of subscription
to The New York Times
because everything is fine.

For God's sake, drink Coca-Cola.

We're begging you.
