there was a little dolphin he got lost at sea
he miles away from his family
caught up in a storm that was far to strong
took him from the place that he did belong
dolphin he was sad and he began to cry
noticed by a whale who was passing by
dolphin told the whale how he had got lost
and into the storm the dolphin he was tossed
whale he said dont worry i know what to do
i  will guide you back to the home that you once knew
whale he led the way to get  the dolphin back
when suddenly he saw some dolphins in a pack
he had found the place where dolphin he should be
happy once again with his family
dolphin thanked the whale for all that he had done
and swam of with his family underneath the sun

Did you see the dolphin with hands?
They grew from fins
and now he flips cakes,
serving them up for dozens of fans.

Did you see the dolphin with hands?
His keepers were shocked
when they saw the fingers,
long and gray with nails on the ends.

Did you see the dolphin with hands?
He can juggle, he can fight,
there is no one that he can’t smite.
Oh, and he makes houses out of sand.

Did you see the dolphin with hands?
Scientists are baffled,
doctors confused, because dolphins
shouldn’t be able to play in hair metal bands.

Did you see the dolphin with hands?
His name is Finn, despite the lack of them,
and he is a mutant fish
who can flip pans.
This is something I wrote for my creative writing class.
FINFIN THE DOLPHIN

Poor Fin Fin, once was Fred's  favourite  toy dolphin;

But was now sadly rejected; and lying in a dustbin.

Thrown out it was because a drunk servant fed it a little gin.

A small rag-picker boy,  picked it up; from the dustbin.

washing it, wiping it;  now made it look new and clean.

As he was walking past a river, in it fell poor FinFin.

Sad was the lad, this was really bad; for now drowned FinFin.

A man, consoling him said, "grow n come up one day will, this dolphin".

Come Danny, would daily, our lil boy, to look for his FinFin.

To his astonishment great, one day he saw a big dolphin.

With glee he cried, as he saw it,  " look, here's my dear FinFin".

Days went by, with some food, he would daily feed FinFin;

Throw a ball at it, he would n return it back, would the dolphin.

Gathered people now to see this play; giving him money, in a bin.

Happily jump,  dance and spin around would,  FinFin .

During one such act, along with the ball, fell the lad as he did over-lean.

Promptly picked him up and brought him safely back, our cute FinFin.

Friends for ever they became; lil Danny and our cute FinFin, the dolphin.

there was a little dolphin he lived in the sea
while swimming in the ocean he made friends with me
he was very friendly as gentle as can be
he started doing tricks a clever chap was he.

jumped up in the air and stood up on his tail
skimming through the waves he began to sail
then i got  hoop and held it way up high
dolphin he jumped through high up in the sky.

suddenly my feet got stuck in to the sand
dolphin he was watching and gave a helping hand
he dragged me with his tail till my feet were free
then he waved goodbye and headed back to sea.

i think about the dolphin who made friends with me
there inside my memory he will always be.

Antonia is such a good swimmer,
She often swims in the sea,
Where she met a friendly dolphin,
Who she invited back for tea.

There were plates of jam sandwiches,
Ice-cream, with jelly in a fancy dish,
Vanilla slices and chocolate cake,
Oh, and of course, lots of fish.

Then the dolphin shared a story,
Of a far off-distant land,
Even though his voice was very squeaky,
Antonia could easily understand.

The story told of mermaids,
Magic songs upon their lips,
Their singing enticing sailors,
From the rigging and decks of ships.

Though, the sailors were not harmed,
Only enchanted in a drowsy sleep,
Dreaming in the mermaid kingdom,
Beneath the ocean cool and deep.

The mermaids made a prophecy,
Of the sailors promised release,
When mankind stopped all wars,
And had learned to live in peace.

Antonia thought, ‘how very wise’,
Watching waves upon the sea,
From the beach, she waved goodbye,
To the dolphin who came for tea.

I effortless pass through water
like gliding through a silky air.
And as you all sail through life
you all sparkle with the idea
of being near.
As I am ultimate wisdom that
comes in the form of joy and play.
As the decks are silent splashes of
water all over your faces.
Then suddenly you all cry,
" THE DOLPHINS ARE HEAR"
A tingly excitement every where
as though walking on a bubbly
carpet.

Everyone congregating at the
side of the boat hoping to catch
a bit of magic.
Gasps and shrills as bounce and
burst out of the water along side
your boat.
People stretching reaching as I offer
a new hope the light of GOD.
And when they return to the shore the
story of the Dolphins like church bells
ringing travels through the town.
As everyone longs for Holy spirit they
are eager to hear the story.
As they learn about the Dolphin
that came to there town they want to
know who actually touched it.

I am the spirit that visits the holy as
I love those who are full but also
empty.
I come to those brought to the edge
who stared down the cliff
but did not jump, as they chose life.
And to those who's world said no with
all doors closed because only they can
listen.
I come to those who have lost all will because
only those let me carry them.
I come to those who are broken
as only they can be molded
I bring you many colours and inspiration
sometimes I will make you dance and
sometimes sing.
I am the Pentacost,  holy Ghost and your
Jesus Christs holy spirit.

Sometimes when you swim softly through
sweet watery emotion you will hear us talking.
When you think all is lost
you find yourself praying
even though you think no one is there
I will be listening.
Feel like you are drowning grab my
dorsal fin and I will give you a lift
even make you laugh, make it fun
even exciting.
Lost at sea sharks prowling I will circle you
as I will even fend of death for as I can
also heal you.

Some will pen me in keep me in a
small tank tech me a childish trick
and manipulate.
But only those bigger than pools
more like the sea will know I have
greater tricks to teach.
As only those without plan and expectation
can ever swim with me.
As I will guide you on your hearts
adventure into the free.

We will always love and seek to guide
you as we look for you in the sea and
gather around you in the bay.
We will teach you how to channel to
have an open mind to breath spirit
through your head.
And I will teach you how to be both
the radio and the wave.
How to be father Christmas, the chimney
and the presents underneath the tree.
So if you are needing help please
look over hear we are listening.
let yourself be empty and we will guide you.

There is so much to learn from communicating
and swimming with the Gods spirit, the Dolphin.
So let us connect with God heaven and the Dolphin
And be grateful for all her LOVE.

Haiku is one of my favorite forms of short poetry.  I've been writing them since childhood.

I have read this poem in public on occasion but this is the first time it appears in print.
i wish i was a dolphin if only for a day
with his spirit free as he begins to play
swimming in the ocean having lots of fun
in the sea so blue underneath the sun.

making people happy with my cheeky smile
i wish i was a dolphin if only for a while

Spirit Dolphin

To be in tune in natures light
To be in touch and resonate
Intelligent communicate
Heartbeats of love and breath of life

Superior to human sight
Your sound waves and reverberates
To be in tune in natures light
To be in touch and resonate

You touch the stars and elevate
Our spirits to become alight
Giving us freedom to ignite
Centers begin to emanate
To be in tune in natures light

Beneath the sun, beneath the moon
You teach us how to breathe with care
Oceanic friend, solar flare
Communicating our monsoon

Teaching in us how to commune
Opening our minds to beware
Beneath the sun, beneath the moon
You teach us how to breathe with care

Your innocence rests like lagoon
On the surface emotions bare
Vulnerability is there
Beneath the sun, beneath the moon

A good omen to protect us
Saving the lives of so many
Selfless creature giving plenty
From outer space some do discuss

To touch you frees us from raucous
To ride with you fulfills empty
A good omen to protect us
Saving the lives of so many

With you we find our playfulness
Self-confidence more than any
Never to lose our assembly
Connect us all with inner trust
A good omen to protect us

Helping others finding our truth
To be One Universally
What might seem strange is certainly
A reflection upon our youth

Make bright our eyes with wisdom's root
Free from shame inadvertently
Helping others finding our truth
To be One Universally

Though we may taste forbidden fruit
What we will learn so artfully
Forgives our aches so perfectly
Flipping through curious pursuit
Helping others finding our truth

A graceful water weaving dolphin
swirls wakes of gentle waves -
a white, silver blue phantom
shimmering in the noonday sun.

Piercing the surface,
she dances an aquatic ballet
of corkscrew pirouettes
and majestic somersaults.

Diving beneath the spray
she churns her engine upward -
soaring through the flaming hoop
to the "oohs" and applause
of a throng of short-sleeved hominids
bleachered beyond the rails.

Plunging into quiet depths,
she lingers for a moment
perhaps to recall the fresh sea air
and the borderless waters
in the golden days before the ships came.

Dolphin Goddess
You light our souls
With your rich and
Luscious gia energy
And allow us to
Bask in your
Goddess form
As your soul
And energy take
Us to newer high
As we all climb
The mountain of
Your love and
Connection for
Our mother earth
And for the rich
Feminine and life
Giving energies that
Are all around us
You survey your
Kingdom and see
That it is good and
Beautiful and that
All is well in your
Paradise as your
Dolphin Goddess
Dreams take flight
In the night we get
Closer to your
Heart and soul
As you open up
Yourself fully
And completely
To anyone who
Is willing to bask
Upon your light
And gain your
Ancient wisdom
And joy that
Sprouts from
Your heart and
Gets shared with
With everyone
You meet along
Your way in life
They see that light
And hidden goddess
Inside just waiting
To be unleased with
A warm smile and
Embrace of souls
As her energy
Collides and
Embraces with
The universe and
Everything

there was a little badger he was adventure bound

setting out to sea he set himself afloat
out in the deep blue sea in his little boat

then got a little nearer so that he could see
he walked along the sand of the island shore

The Dolphins came to heal me
They didn’t know it wasn’t meant to be
They circled me & brushed pass my legs
I felt their healing but I could not receive it
Wounded hearts do not heal
Broken dreams do not soar
Crushed spirits do not forgive

The dolphins came again
This time with a heart to replace mine
They put it in place of the old
They swam away with the old
The new heart felt good inside
I could heal
I could soar
And I could forgive

Some years later the dolphins came again
They came with another heart yet again
I was to take care of it
I was thrilled
I was happy looking after it, for a while

The dolphins came again some years later
To check how I was doing with the extra heart
It was too much work and so I gave it back to  them
They were sad as they swam away

I looked out at sea one day after many a lonely years
Longing for the healing of the dolphins
One dolphin came up to me and said
“My heart is all I have to give”
I did not know if I should take it
Just as I was pondering, another dolphin swam by and said
“Try again”
I took it and tried to love again

It was better this time
I did not deceive myself and I let it be
Two hearts were better I thought
Then, what about another two, the dolphin asked
I took them and cared and shared
And today I have six hearts to behold….
The dolphins smiled and waved goodbye….

The moon's rays shine under the ocean,
The beautiful blue waves are in motion,
There is a full moon tonight;
And it is shining beautiful and bright.
The beautiful fishes are swimming under the ocean,
Listen to the sound of the ocean,
All kinds of ocean plants are growing under the waves;
I love the moonlit rays.
There's only a slight sunset in the sky,
A shooting star falls from way up high,
Little twinkling stars light the dark sky;
It is so beautiful I begin to cry.
Oh I love this enchanting scene,
Everything is so beautiful just like a dream,
This place is beautiful beyond belief;
This beautiful place called Dolphin Reef.

i like to watch the dolphins swimming in the sea
they are always happy as friendly as can be
they are very clever intelligence galore
just to watch the dolphins is something i adore.

they always make me smile whenever there around
with there great big smile and there dolphin sound
such a lovely creature swimming wild and free
just to watch the dolphins mean so much to me
now not anymore
the Island that isn’t
a loneliness but
Choice without being
There we were sitting and
The Sea was coming and
We (me and you) – a gorgeous staple,
Hooked,
were creating and
we saw him (after years and years) how
he was entering
like a rainbow huge
unattainable and
slow
brown – like a beam
(to hold for it)
nonpoetry - the other one is breakable
when the meaning they wave –
a hand of an insane man before a mirror
nongame – the game is dead
after Joyce and like a child is screaming
for the sandy tower after an adult
(a cynical stone) carelessly and with no reason
forded through
the dolphin is a life vital
and his existence aside of the genesis
and whole in the sea and whole
is reflected
nonliterature – the literature is dead
implicated into shape and ad of
the language but
where is here the Rapture
of the dolphin – glamour
oh forgive me I am entering
a someone else’s territory
I am not a ventriloquist too
I do not practice knowledge
there’s nothing new here each
new is unnamed
a vital place without a place
in a movement moveable
smooth like blue
fused in a deep bare
white
i saw dolphins dancing while i was out at sea
stood up on there tails dancing wild and free
dancing in a circle  going round and round
talking to each other in there dolphin sound
they looked very happy just dancing in the sea
happy and content as happy as can be
every one in unison just putting on a show
just to watch them dance gave my heart a glow.
there was a little badger  adventure bound was he
he built himself a boat from a fallen tree
he packed a little case with things that he might need
and took along some food so he could have a feed.

little Tommy tortoise he was getting bored
he booked himself a holiday and took a trip abroad
he packed up lettuce leaves so that he could eat
for a little snack this was his favorite treat
landed in Hawaii and headed for the sand
ready for some fun in this foreign land
he came across a turtle swimming in the sea
looking just like Tommy a relative was he
they swam along together underneath the sun
splashing in the water enjoying all the fun
suddenly they saw a dolphin near by
then he said hello with his dolphin cry
dolphin he joined in and began to play
happy as can be as they played away
he took them for a ride on his dolphin tail
out into the ocean he began to sail
then he took them back to where they were before
back to where they started along the sandy shore
dolphin had to go it was time for tea
he waved and said goodbye then back in to the sea
Tommy he was happy so was turtle too
having lots of fun in the sea so blue
Tommy had enjoyed his little holiday
it brought him lots of happiness and his boredom went away
i was all alone sailing out to sea
when suddenly a dolphin came to visit me
he was lonely too  and needed company

then he said hello with his dolphin sound
he seemed very happy now friend he found
swimming there beside me as happy as can be
he had been so lonely just the same as me.

we began to play having so much fun
in the deep blue sea underneath the sun
he did lots of tricks there were quite a few
then leaped in to air just like dolphins do'.
