Many people write a "bucket list" of things they want to do before they die.  Now in my 80th year, I don't have the time or the energy to do things that others might aim for, but I have during my life visited many places, seen many things, and enjoyed many experiences that I would have been sorry to miss. There have also been some events that I would have preferred not to experience, but which have enriched my life in different ways, and which I remember with a kind of sad affection.   Some of these are very personal to me, and would not be interesting to most people, but read the note if you wonder why I chose them. Enrique, Emilio, Lorenzo, the three of them frozen: Enrique by the world of beds; Emilio by the world of eyes and wounded hands; Lorenzo by the world of roofless universities. Lorenzo, Emilio, Enrique, the three of them burned: Lorenzo by the world of leaves and billiard ***** Emilio by the world of blood and white pins; Enrique by the world of the dead and abandoned newspapers. Lorenzo, Emilio, Enrique, the three of them buried: Lorenzo in one of Flora's ******* Emilio in the dead gin forgotten in the glass; Enrique in the ant, the sea, and the empty eyes of birds. Lorenzo, Emilio, Enrique, the three in my hands were three Chinese mountains, three shadows of a horse, three landscapes of snow and a cabin of white lilies by the pigeon coops where the moon lies flat under the rooster. One and one and one, the three of them mummified, with the flies of winter, with the inkwells the dog ****** and the thistle despises, with the breeze that freezes theh eart of all the mothers, by the white ruins of Jupiter where drunks snack on death. Three and two and one, I saw them disappear, crying and singing into a hen's egg, into the night that showed its skeleton of tobacco, into my sorrow full of faces and piercing bone splinters of moon, into my happiness of whips and notched wheels, into my breast troubled by pigeons, into my deserted death with one mistaken wanderer. I had killed the fifth moon and the fans and the applause drank water from the fountains. Hidden away, the warm milk of newborn girls, shook the roses with a long white sorrow. Enrique, Emilio, Lorenzo, Diana is hard, but somtimes she has ******* of clouds. The white stone can beat in the blood of a deer and the deer can dream through the eyes of a horse. When the pure forms sank under the cri cri of daisies I understood they had murdered me. They searched the cafés and the graveyards and churches, they opened the wine casks and wardrobes, they destroyed three skeletons to pull out their gold teeth. Still they couldn't fine me. They couldn't? No. They couldn't. But they learned the sixth moon fled against the torrent, and the sea remembered, suddenly, the names of all her drowned.

The snows are fled away, leaves on the shaws And grasses in the mead renew their birth, The river to the river-bed withdraws, And altered is the fashion of the earth. The Nymphs and Graces three put off their fear And unapparelled in the woodland play. The swift hour and the brief prime of the year Say to the soul, Thou wast not born for aye. Thaw follows frost; hard on the heel of spring Treads summer sure to die, for hard on hers Comes autumn with his apples scattering; Then back to wintertide, when nothing stirs. But oh, whate'er the sky-led seasons mar, Moon upon moon rebuilds it with her beams; Come we where Tullus and where Ancus are And good Aeneas, we are dust and dreams. Torquatus, if the gods in heaven shall add The morrow to the day, what tongue has told? Feast then thy heart, for what thy heart has had The fingers of no heir will ever hold. When thou descendest once the shades among, The stern assize and equal judgment o'er, Not thy long lineage nor thy golden tongue, No, nor thy righteousness, shall friend thee more. Night holds Hippolytus the pure of stain, Diana steads him nothing, he must stay; And Theseus leaves Pirithous in the chain The love of comrades cannot take away.

I like to call this counting crows. A boy told me he liked me while I was high and crying listening to some indie ******** My ex girlfriend smoked everyday, 3:11 pm, after school in her backyard, and I guess that is sort of cringeworthy. Tell me you like me. I like to call this counting crows. And I wish I was pretty without make up, but I sold my soul and became demoralized.
My ex boyfriend split his wrist one day and blamed me, and I guess that is sort of cringeworthy. Tell me you’re okay. I like to call this counting crows. And you really can’t call me pretty because once, I loved someone and they called me pretty, but now he says I’m not the same- He said I’m glass, but I always thought I was marrow. I like to call this counting crows. And I keep throwing up water and candy and syllables, but you won’t like me once you reach the smell, And I’ve been empty for a long time,
but eating and eating and eating will only make you nauseated. There is a pit in my stomach filled with sand. I like to call this counting crows. And I didn’t expect to meet you here, but there you are smiling at me with top and bottom marbles that I’d love to play with someday. And here I am rubbing my knees trying to stand up without looking as feeble as I feel-
I remember little things. Princess Diana died on my birthday. It takes one man to change a light bulb and a woman to light it. What the **** was the punchline? I really want to sleep. My best friend keeps making plans. I want to kiss you shoulders. Please lock the door”

The catch of the season
Written by Diana Garcia My brain waves are like a storm I wish i could sit in silence I wish i wasnt so ******* torn I tried to understand you but whats the use it's my turn to talk but will you listen? When you look at me what do you see Your daughter, your sister or am I the punching bag that youve been missin'? let me show you the scars you gave me those wonderful gifts that keep me up at night the reoccurring hate those angry tears. All the times i went hungry cause i refused to come home for years. Over and over again i was told. Theres nobody to blame other than myself. YES! cause it is I who but my well being up on the shelf. Ive checked out, to this i do admit. I am numb and I simply exist. How can I love, hate, or any of those words in the adjective list when all I know is how to roll with the punches, how to roll with waves in the stormy ocean with all these god **** dusty emotions..

Sustenance for friends and clients; state your case – come one, come all. The matron arms of Social Service will not let you fall. Food stamps make our nation stronger, licked, then stuck on the public roll. Social programs last much longer adding recipients on the dole… Like the Ephesian Diana many are my benefits! Mine the matriarchal manna; latch and suckle at my teats. Yours the client’s right to nurture. Mother will supply your need; Child, you must not fear the future – feed, my baby, feed. Call me nanny, call me Lord just make sure you’re calling on me. Mine are the gifts you can afford they’re taxpayer-funded, worry-free! Once you are latched I’ll keep it flowing like an intravenous habit. Keep that ****** situated where your will can never grab it Let it never cross your mind that there’s an end to all lactation. Cloward-Piven have refined this titillation. Love me.  Need me.  I’m the State. Your well-being is my affair. With your consent I’ll dominate, because I care.

I'm not afraid to **** myself What I'm scared of is what happens if it doesn't work out But I'm doing this and hoping it works. Mom, I'm sorry I couldn't be everything you wanted out of a daughter. You probably wanted a smart, pretty and elegant daughter and you were delivered this sack of **** I'm sorry that you'll have to clean up my one last mess. I'm sorry that you'll never understand. I'm sorry I could never 'try' as much as you'd like. I love you always, and forever. Dad, with you I'm always at a loss for words. You and I have a special bond and when I think of you I think of my likes and interests. My music is heavily influenced by you. Thanking you for showing me what good music is. Thank you, I love you. Sorry. Bryan, My step dad. You have been here to watch me grow up for the past 5 years and thats cool, I'm sorry it wasnt as what you must have expected. I'm sorry. Please take good care of mom and River. I love you Diana, My step mom. You are literally mommy number 2. I've known you for 10 years. You have guided me into adult hood. You all did great. I love you. Please don't think this was any of your faults. You will do great with R and K, you did great with me. This is just a flaw within myself. No amount of medication and counselling could fix this. I past the point of help. After 7 years there scars are too deep to reverse. My aunt and godmother. You helped me out so much. I love you and I'm sorry you saved all this money for college for me to go throw it away with a few too many pills. To everyone, I'm sorry. You'll have to go to my funeral, you will feel obligated. But don't go unless you actually cared. I know I won't physically be there but I want to know who would've been there. Anyways, I'm sorry. This time it will work.

I adore women I refuse to apologize for it I like the way their voices squeak in the upper registers I like the fashions I like the makeup I like the aromas Not the silly runway catwalk Biz that relegates them as awkward mannequins adorns them in  the impractical and cloaks them in the  absurd overreaching  of  the tired  clamoring for something new and unique that which exploits  their  lithesome anorexic perplexing job requirement I like the way they can shape shift, alter and assume new identities I like the fact that some have mood swings and *** I marvel that they can give birth I like being aware that their  'water-weight' make's  them grumpy I'm astonished that they innately ovulate with  the cycles of the moon and that the Huntress Diana inherently  acquired her namesake Doesn't bother me a bit that "it's a lady's prerogative to be late" or that opening a door for them is considered 'sexist' I was raised with a sister and a mother with lace and dainty  frilly things I caused them a lot of aggravation and consternation I think they enjoyed it - nonetheless somewhat I refuse to apologize for it

a male's misgivings
Princess Diana was born in England and died in France. When she was in a car crash, she didn't have a chance. She divorced Prince Charles of Wales just one year before she died. Diana was only 36 years old and her death was mourned worldwide. When somebody dies that young, it's always hard to understand. She did charity work and was trying to have landmines banned. Harry and William are Diana's sons. If she hadn't died, she would be 61. For many, Diana's death was a devastating blow. She was a princess who died a quarter of a century ago.

Science! true daughter of Old Time thou art! Who alterest all things with thy peering eyes. Why preyest thou thus upon the poet’s heart, Vulture, whose wings are dull realities How should he love thee? or how deem thee wise, Who wouldst not leave him in his wandering To seek for treasure in the jewelled skies, Albeit he soared with an undaunted wing! Hast thou not dragged Diana from her car? And driven the Hamadryad from the wood To seek a shelter in some happier star? Hast thou not torn the Naiad from her flood, The Elfin from the green grass, and from me The summer dream beneath the tamarind tree?

You were in a Donatella Versaci masterpiece I was in a Bottega Veneta custom Diana Krall was in the stereo Lemon lobster baking in the oven And you and I You and I were slow dancing like eighth graders In the living room With the coffee table pushed to the wall And the T.V. cabinet cupboard shut So we could have a little more room for our evening waltz I guess that's what I get For watching a romantic comedy and the Emmy's On the same night And even though that dream may be twenty years from ever coming true, Because both you and I were in our forties Trying to impress each other with how interesting We could keep our relationship Even though we both knew all we had to do Was wake up in the morning and smile at each other To fall in love again, It was worth it because in that dream I could actually dance And the lobster was amazing Say what you will I have very sensory dreams And things feel, taste, and smell like they do in real life And it may have had something to do With how beautiful you looked in that dress Or the scent you were wearing But that lobster was amazing And your hands on my shoulders Was a massage you weren't giving As we two stepped through the room And my lips mouthing every line That danced through the air Directly onto you earlobe Was just an excuse for my cheek to touch yours And as Veneta and Versace got comfortable on the floor And my sensory dreams turned into a little bit more My fleeting thoughts were of your smile in the morning And I know you don't see yourself there yet Taking pleasure in slow dancing And waking up next to each other But I see myself there just as clear As I see myself right here And I'll to drop the Veneta for jeans Your Versace for pajamas Lobster for KFC If I'm slow dancing with you to Diana Krall in our living room I don't give a **** if We own the coffee table to push out of the way I want to spend my life with you I want to spend my life slow dancing with you I want to spend my life whisper-humming Standards into your ear slow dancing In the living room of our house with you Duplex with you Apartment with you Trailer with you I don't care I want to spend my life slow dancing with you I want to spend my life with you And I'm not being too sweet I'm being too honest And I know grand romantic gestures aren't your thing Girl, flowers on Valentine's Day aren't your thing But I hope someday soon you make a hobby out of slow dancing Because I had a dream last night I'd love to come true

Love, unruliest hope, when fierce Diana went wild With savage discourse, the arrow-stroke of her tongue— While rage-hounds bay in wooded Gargaphie—aimed at Actaeon. Or old Baucis her god-giving bone fat of mind, Stewed the broth of covenant for Zeus to repay in kind. Then Parthenope, siren-stung in her whirlpool of sea vines, Her maiden-voice is a breath of sand for Naples to muse upon. The body of Helen still lies in ages-old smoke over our cities, We live in the timberframe of her bones of burned ships. Why can’t her death be an end to all skies?

Love Lost in Every Sky
You hide in plain sight as does day when engulfed by night For darkness is simply…. The absence of light You claim to have special enlightenment And that your knowledge is for the better good of the people Pledge your allegiance and your success will be imminent Break your pledge and your death will be discrete So why would you become part of something so “elite”? With only one thing in mind; to see the human race in defeat. An interminable amount of subliminal messages Hinting at events that are destructive, demoralizing, and deceptive. 9/11… was it really an act of terrorism? Or was it just an evil plot… something you guys expected? Al-quaeda and the Taliban… roaming around in the lands of Iran But on the land I walk some say it’s a misperception Just a façade in our brain so the government secrets are protected. Michael Jackson… and the Kennedy assassination Were they both untimely events in American history? Ghandi, The King, Malcolm X, Princess Diana, Shakur, Paul, Marley, the Kennedys’, Lennon, Fredinand, Lincoln!! All of whom were either at your feet or tried to make your secret secrete These deaths… from assassination to suicide… were all… “unfortunate” to the human eye? Or were they “fortunate” for the Eye of the Beholder? But why go to such great extent to have these powerful and influential people wiped from the human race? To keep a secret that has been soooo well kept for hundreds of years? A secret society that is not so discrete… anymore Hidden in plain sight and away from the human eye….. Trying to keep a disguise that will lead to our eventual demise You aren’t doing the world any favors By keeping an explicitly intricate order in store You’re favoring your own world under one order By intricately deceiving the minds of innocent citizens So, you hide in plain sight, the light of the earth A light you hope one day becomes permanently dark Cause once again, darkness is only the absence of light. With no light, we will be forced at the feet of your might Despite a fight, with no light and your might, we’re all just mites stuck on your flight of new world order. Well let me just end on this… **** THE ILLUMINATI!

Away, ye muses, all away! Away with songs of finch and fay. Away the jaundiced sight That magnifies the firefly’s light To bonfire bright; That sets ablaze at once My musing’s dimly burning lamps; That ornaments with rhymes The penury-stricken looks betimes; That over-clothes the logic – lord With fancy –swollen words. Away, the partial love That ‘boldens Nature to sit above Her Maker! This day I fasten eyelid doors, With absence wax my ears, With languorous peace congeal My tongue, my touch, my tears * That I within may pore Upon the things behind, ahead, In the darkness round me spread. I lock Dame Nature out With all her fickle rout. Somewhere here, In the darkness drear, I myself with cheer My course will steer In the path E’er sought by all: Its magnet call I hear. Not hear, not here, Apollo would his burning chariot steer; Nor Diana dare to peep Into the sacred silence deep. Not here, not here, Not far or near Can mounts or rebel waves E’er make me full of fear; Nor evermore Their dreadful grandeur to adore. Not here, not here The soft capricious wiles of flowers; Nor swarming storm clouds’ sweeping terror, Dishevelling the trees And light-haired skies; Nor doomsday’s thunderous roar, Dismantling earth and stars- The cosmic beauties all to mar – Not Nature’s murderous mutiny, Nor man’s exploding destiny Can touch me here. Not here, not here: Through mind’s strong iron bars, Not gods or goblins, men or nature, Without my pass dare enter. I look behind, ahead – On naught but darkness tread. In wrath I strike, and set the dark ablaze With the immortal spark of thought, By friction-process brought Of concentration And distraction. The darkness burns With a million tongues; And now I spy All past, all distant things, as nigh. I smile serene As I expose to gaze. In wisdom’s brilliant blaze, All charms of the Hidden Home Unseen: The Home of Nature’s birth, The planets’ moulding hearth, The factory whence all forms or fairies start, The bards, colossal minds, and hearts, The gods and all, And all, and all! Away, away With all the lightsome lays! Oh, now will I portray In humble way, And try to lisp, if only in half truths, Of wordless charms of Thee Unseen, To whom Dame Nature owes her nature and her sheen.

Many creationists view the duckbilled platypus as an enigma that evolution cannot explain. Super-Platypus attempts to escape from aliens. Am I one of yours? Little Platypus? In August of that year the Submarine Support Depot platypus debate began. Out of a large cloth travel bag, Diana pulled the furry platypus hand puppet platypus-in-a-can. Boba Fett told Darth Vader, "As you wish," he was really saying, "I love you." I took a quiz once that told me I was a platypus in a past life.

Plato and a Platypus Walk Into a Bar...
A merry dachshund yaps, and leaps for leaves Wind-blown across the still-green summer grass As autumn visits briefly, and looks around To plan his festive moonlit frosts when next Diana dances ‘cross November’s skies.
