"demolisher" poems
Oh, of the powers acting onto our world,
There exist seven powers, those which are stronger,
Much more dominate than the others,
These seven powers, they live with us, affect us,
Fear them, understand them, embrace them.
Oh the sea, the first of the greatest powers,
The sea, destroyer of sediment, home of many,
The sea is to be loved, worshipped,
For it is alive, and it is worthy of its power,
Fear the sea, understand the sea, embrace the sea.
Oh the wind, the second of the greatest powers,
The wind, vanquisher of creation, realm of none,
The wind is to be relished, awed,
For it is alive, and it is worthy of its power,
Fear the wind, understand the wind, embrace the wind.
Oh the earth, the third of the greatest powers,
The earth, demolisher of itself, domain of many,
The earth is to be valued, appreciated,
For it is alive, and it is worthy of its power,
Fear the earth, understand the earth, embrace the earth.
Oh the fire, the fourth of the greatest powers,
The fire, conqueror of vegetation, province of none,
The fire is to be respected, coveted,
For it is alive, and it is worthy of its power,
Fear the fire, understand the fire, embrace the fire.
Oh the nature, the fifth of the greatest powers,
The nature, defeater of construction, territory of many,
The nature is to be cared for, protected,
For it is alive, and it is worthy of its power,
Fear the nature, understand the nature, embrace the nature.
Oh the dark, the sixth of the greatest powers,
The dark, dominator of hope, dominion of none,
The darkness is to be dreaded, envied,
For it is alive, and it is worthy of its power,
Fear the dark, understand the dark, embrace the dark.
Oh the light, the last of the greatest powers,
The light, subjugator of despair, provider of many,
The light is to be cherished, revered,
For it is alive, and it is worthy of its power,
Fear the light, understand the light, embrace the light.

If you're not the architect
Then you're the demolisher, right?
But what if you're both?
I'm both.
I will build you up high like the worlds greatest skyscraper
And you'll touch God's face and whisper in his ear
Thanking him.
I'll paint you better than Michelangelo would ever
And I'll only place in your interior
The finest jewels and gems.
But then I'll tear you down,
Smash you with a wrecking ball.
Spend years tearing down every wall
Only to leave you with nothing but a foundation,
A cement bottom and empty wooden posts.
I will destroy you without ever meaning to
Because I'm venomous and unaware of it.
I'll leave golden specks in your mind
But bruises on your soul,
I'll make your heart beat
And then I'll tear it apart.
I'm a playful king cobra and I don't know my own strength,
I'll nibble your ear and then release my kiss of death.
I bet you've always wondered why they name natural disasters after people,
And I swear to god after meeting me you'll know.

A constant stare, while its on the table
Not a blink from me, I feel unstable
I hear nothing, no sudden vibration
No flickering, no notification
On the palm of my hand
A sense of you getting closer
My words were not planned
I'm sorry, please say its not over
Feeling numb
Exhausted and stupid
A destroyer of good
A demolisher of cupid
Thought of loosing you is crippling
Can't bear my thoughts, its sickening
End my agony, let me explain
I need to feel you, or will go insane.

I spent 13 years building a brick wall around myself
3 years building a bombproof shelter
I even added windows
To see the outside world.
But I forgot the fire exit
And now the fire's lit
The smoke is filling up my mind
Burning all of me.
Gone is the (com)passion
Gone the creativity
Gone the personality
Just bitter memories in their fireproof box.
Even as I build the bomb shelter
I scream for a way out
Searching for a weakness in the wall
That isn't there.
At least I painted the outside
Simple, bland, attractive
In universal white
So good, nice, boring.
Oh look, I'm stuck in the only corner left
Holding tattered fragments of burnt personality
Waiting for the fire to burn
Me up.

So tired, ******* exhausted
of tired promises, promises
You'll never keep,
You know that You won't
(So why do You make them?)
Not sure, I don't think
the cave under the falls
is worth the battering
But you tell me you Miss Me
Miss Me
So I keep spending,
Wanting the search
YOU, DEMOLISHER.
I, BRICK ABANDONED.
I am made of the substance
You were built to ruin.
You, Spender of Time,
I, Timeless Monolith.
Take Me, Take Me,
Take me down -
Brick by brick You undo
(with tiny meaningless hopeful phrases)
Bat your eyelashes while you pocket my pieces
So You can keep telling Yourself
You're tender.
