"deepavali" poems
I had always heard that festivals are symbols of joy, symbols of happiness.
but I think more than that it is feeling o f peace, prosperity, love, kindness it is the only time when everyone in our society have get together, follow rituals and the most interesting part is the broken relationships, friendships & every other relations get adhere together.
friends i always thought that festivals means only having holidays and enjoying it but today i came to know that every festival has its own story like Christmas for birth of lord Christ,
Diwali for returning of lord Rama and goddess Sita.
on the occassion of DEEPAVALI I wish everyone HAPPY DEEPAVALI and may this diwali bring prosperity,Elation, peace in your life!!!!

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
(DEEPAVALI)*
May countless lights
Show delightful sights.
May there be no threat of violence,
No clouds of smoke,
No smell of sulphur,
No sound of gunfire,
No scenes of ruined homes,
No sorrow that dims the light
In anyone's eyes,
May the light of knowledge and wisdom
Illumine the path to happiness.
May the light of joy and love
Sparkle in everyone's eyes
In every humble home.
May our fervent prayer
Lead mankind from darkness to Light.
May all nations together strive
To pave the way to harmony and peace.

Deepavali
10/24/2022
Symbolized by the oil lamps,
flames flickering in celebration
Lighting the path, welcoming,
successful return & unification
Let a million lamps light your path,
each amplifying your successes
This day and forever,
Happy Deepavali

Festival of Lights
10/27/2019
This auspicious occasion
of Festival of Lights, we
joyously call, Deepavali,
celebrations abound,
lamps lit all around,
I make this plea -
If only for a day,
or just for a meal,
lets uplift the hearts
and lighten the load,
of the less fortunate -
Let's bring new clothes, toys,
Savories and sweets,
for a precious smile of hope,
in those anxious young eyes -
And above all, a little humility,
to those that are blessed, and
I pray, continue with their good fortune -
On this auspicious day, we
so joyously celebrate, as Dewali
