She is a ruler, proud in her glory
Sets hearts to flame, turns lovers to screams
Her nails alone are ripped from a story
Reduces soldiers to men without mean

Eyes marble-black, with sharp slits in the centre
Red glistens, and penetrating observations enter
With hair that waves as though in water
They know her tales, but none have caught her

What she requires - they all deliver
Her voice is a choir - that makes all shiver
She doesn't walk
She struts

Bends over in a seductive style
Caresses villainy in her seat
Crooning, intentions hidden all the while
Inaudible but the tread of her feet

March, march, march on to the drums
The Dark Majesty never forgets
Absorbing herself in hymns and hums
Oblivious to drunken admissions of regret

Queen of tyranny will never rest
But for serenity - she fails the test
She's majestic
But joy eludes her
There's a song by Queen (the rock band who did Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You) called The March of the Black Queen that was the chief inspiration to this. Give it a listen, it's simply amazing.

Bite into my Soul and taste your dirt
Inflict upon me your rules of hurt
Make a wish in the fountain of blood
Take a sip and you shall conquer the world

Hang me for all the world to see,
Even in my death I shall walk free

Show the strength of your crown,
Let me be chased by your blood hounds
Cut me, scar me, now tell me what you found ?
You walk straight but the world's round

Lock me in a cage so I can't leave,
Even in these walls I shall walk free

Burn my skin to reach my core,
Why break those walls when i've opened that door
Come inside, take away all I know
Feed my hatred by hating me some more

Erase me so I could never be,
Even in my extinction I shall walk free

Tie my hands and give me a blade,
Tell who my enemies are and war shall be made
Whisper to me the words that degrade,
And I'll scream them at the world while you wait

Kill the lullabies so I can never dream,
Even in my nightmares I shall walk free

Now take my hand and lead me to paradise,
Fire of hell blowing through the kingdom of ice
Sit on your throne and try to swallow your pride
this slave will never be yours for he's the master of his own life

Hang me for all the world to see,
Even in my death I shall walk free

Rot
My soul has started to rot
Charred black by the flame of heartbreak
Cold as the night you left
I don't think I'm breathing anymore
The feeling of dread carried in with the wind through every open window
Every shadow whispers your name
I feel myself fading as fast as you left
I don't feel the drive and passion anymore
My happy place has crumbled to dust, broken fragments of reality
The air I breath poisons my lungs as I fall faster and faster into the hellish hole that appears on every path
My heart as empty as the canyons that used to make me feel free
My breath as cold as the pouring rain that used to send me to sleep
My soul as rotten as the core of the witches apple
The witch that has cursed me
Cursed me with the boulders I carry on my shoulders
Cursed me to lie when I say I'm fine
Truly and honestly made for poetry not of reality

Children get handed things easily,
and they learn
that it's easier to throw away
than to hold on and keep it.

Adults are very different,
they cherish things
and would not objectify others
since humans are not things.

But right there,
throwing you away
like an object,
the man who was no longer a child said;

"I don't want you anymore"

To watch one suffer
To be there as they slowly fall to the rubble
You reach out but as the tides pull in they go further and further from hope
From comfort
A never ending spiral they're falling your fingers slipping through theirs as you let them go
It isn't your fault but blood still runs
And you still remember
