The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want
I dwell in fields of green
Led by His hand I may drink my fill
From streams where few have been
Though I may walk through death's shadowed vale
His presence calms every fear
Through the dark dangers He sets a feast
Whenever my foe comes near
His goodness and mercy shall follow me
Throughout my days here on earth
Then take me home where forever my eyes
Shall behold all His glorious worth!

Sung to the tune of 'Cloud-Shadows' (music by James H. Rogers)
Jordan Hudson Dec 2017
As pressure is sent to the keys below
Sound rises from the speakers you know
Only to cause vibrations of sound
Straight to our ears going brain bound
If it’s too loud people begin to stir
Gradually turning it down to just a quiet whir
Almost to the point where it cannot be heard
Headphones are the only way, sure
Use them and no one will hear
The wonderful sound playing in our ears
Just listen to one more note
As it travels around your head like a castle mote
Rushing and rushing causing your mood
I would be careful of what you listen to
Trapped inside for a long time
Did you notice this is like music and it rhymes?
I just brainwashed you to listen to every word I say
I just caused you feel a certain way
That’s the danger of music itself
That’s also the explanation of why we can’t control ourselves
As pressure is sent to the keys below
Sound rises from the speakers you know
Only to cause vibrations of sound
Straight to our ears going brain bound
If it’s too loud people begin to stir
Gradually turning it down to a whir
Almost to the point where it cannot be heard
Headphones are the only way, sure
Use them and no one will hear
The wonderful sound playing in our ears
Just listen to one more note
As it travels around your head like a castle mote
Rushing and rushing causing your mood
I would be careful of what you listen to
Trapped inside for a long time
Did you notice this is like music and it rhymes?
This is about me playing my two keyboards

Ain't no safety in love
All joy is found hand in hand
Love is our passionate danger
Throw it to the wind

it's hard to predict
the course of coming
destruction,
wide or narrow
I ponder the future path
as waters
will always find a way
my father said,
if she's angry in her wrath,

see the ones
that had never
breached their banks
that swell up
surging ***** water
fast within,
just a few brief minutes
before,
it comes
in such
high waters again,

all is flooded quickly

everything in sight,
then just...
g...o...n...e
all is just
gone without a fight,

yes including,
my dear old parents
sweet abode

in the terrible flood
of that ***** Irene

an if anyone had been there
that day at their home
they likely would have died
it's like nothing I have ever
really seen,

an today, as
the worst storm
in the history
of what we know
recorded,
is bearing down
on our lovely crying planet?

so I ask- what do you think
you can do
when the fire comes raging,
will you put it out or fan it?

I think,
to myself
I am seeing
many new animals
especially the birds,
rare ones,
insects and plants,
an some look just quite absurd
it is exciting but scary
but seriously different weather
well
i say why are you not wary?
becuz
if you don't believe
in climate change
or global warming
NOW?

well God please help us all.

Mother Earth quakes
Absorbing heavens' tears
Like crystals on her greening robes
Her heart aches
She knows our fears
Within her are endless globes
I marched with thousands of concerned fellow lovers of the Earth today who showed up despite the rain, trying to defend our planet, the voice of science and the human right to seek and speak truth.  It was inspiring.

Drove through snowstorms over icy roads
Warmed by the fire of my love for you
Following a lifeline of energy
Thought it led to your heart, warm and true
But there was only burning pain as you pushed me back
Erasing all the joy I ever knew
Signs were there that it was a trap
But the mine exploding in my face was my first clue
Open hearts are always more vulnerable..... But to truly love, and receive love, we must be vulnerable

Her eyes are heavy
And her tears are tired
She can sleep
Oh no, not yet
If she sleeps now, she wont wake
with the rising of the mourning sun
Tonight she lives to suffer
Her heart to be ripped away in agony
Only the shell will be left
What is left of her liquid insides
will be refilled into her
like a frozen tetanus shot cutting thought her blood
but not just though her arm
All over her body

But the moonlight seeps in
She looks but she wont take the Horseman's hand
She'll flirt with the idea of him
The clock on the wall tells her to go
To sleep with the rising moon
dance with the shadows in her head
Memories of light are the only images
like a romance movie she watches for help
Only a few more moments before the Sun returns
He rises to save her soul only for a
fleeting moment after another
Until the prideful pain returns with the moon
Each night

Like a lion in the desert
Scrawny and rat-like but still fierce and intimidating
Thirsty but miles from water and used to it
Outcast but used to it
Dangerous and on the verge of death but used to it

I want to swirl
smoke rings up
your legs,
lick you all over
from the inside out,
and share a deep
and satisfying
nicotine fit.
Watch out for stranger danger in your messager. lol!

My golden years are a retrospective view
Doubtful, not sure, might be a last dance
One day I was gum-chewing with my Batman yo yo
Now my soul is rubber, and it leaks on the outside
Faded away from the youthful days
Once giddy pleasure
Now it’s all so
serious

The teen lifestyle washed over within seconds
Sure it’s fun to friends
Entertaining to have enemies
But the squabbles and meanders slow you down
The pitiful liars and desperate seekers
Worship through blasphemy whatever they care
Limbs don’t respond
Thoughts and actions don’t line up

You see it for what it truly is
Baby
You’re in danger
of maturing

Forgotten and dazed
Sitting in a broken armchair
It's difficult seeing through the fogginess
Finding the missing hours
Difficult on a drowse

...I work only weekdays (don't we all)...
...Fantastic gatherings on Sundays (family days)...
...Jimi Hendrix, he's good (bit of an understatement, mate)...
....He's the kind of guy I wish I could...

...etc...

I´m not in an abusive relationship currently. This is just something I wrote because I have a lot of empathy for situations like this.
I threw a curve
ball.

You said that you liked it.

I mean,
What the ****?   -

And is at these times that I have liked it, As well.
At other times, I am
Filled with a hatred
And with Misunderstanding.
Not everyone else could take it
Nor are all expecting it.
It is almost as rare, here,
As is being
Uncircumcised;

Maybe it's that I only wanted to believe what you said,
And didn't
About my *****.

End
How do you expect me to express my sorry
when you don’t allow me to explain my story

Is this how you wanted it to end
I'll never forget the times we spent, my friend

Now don"t put me in danger
By treating me like a stranger

Remember that one book
About the girl with cancer?
The one with that scene about metaphors?

It wasn’t quite my style,
But I remember that part.
Something about
“Hold what can **** you between your teeth,”
Said a boy with cancer
And a cigarette.

I,
A girl,
A **** survivor,
And child born into a life
Of domestic violence,
Hold men in my arms.

Naked,
Against my *******,
Between my legs.
I hold them
And know,
To take something dangerous
And hold it under my control
Before it kills me.

There was no evil in the eyes of the man that smiled at me in the dairy section when I was little.
There was no evil in the eyes of the drunken man that tried to talk to me at the bus stop the other day.
There was no evil in the eyes of the construction worker who gazed upon my bare legs for a little too long one summer morning.

But there was evil in your eyes.
