she had a crooked
smile
i think that
was
warning
enough
My name is Taylor and I have a tooth that tucks behind one of my front teeth.

I say this as my first sentence because when I look at myself in the mirror and smile, that is the first thing I notice.

But a compliment I've heard more times than once, "You have a beautiful smile."

I  wonder how many things in life are like that...

Qualities or characteristics that people agonize over are the very things that others appreciate and admire.

There's so much history beneath our feet, these floorboards rippling, whispering scenes.

Each wavy window is a spying eye which humbly boasts of the ghosts inside.

These walls do talk with each settling groan with the memory of all that have called this home.

Though it is our time now to haunt this space and lay claim to ours in this crooked place.

Someday we too will be just a name on the deed, just a faint feeling seeping from the seams.

For now though, let us honor these wooden bones and add to the memories of this place we call home.

When the dark settles
Your soul becomes her nightfall
She seeks for your caress
To conclude her ruptures
And house every sorrow

Before the dawn greets the surface of her skin
Before she returns to his glacial, waking arms
Straight and crooked thinking
Where did it all begin
A history of falsehoods
Lies continually begin.

Sad that we are no better
In 2019, Brexit just a shambles
Takes all the politicians time
A house full of fallacious crimes.

Crooked frame on a white wall
with its squared edge on all four sides
sagging to its left, lifting it right up
exposing its crookedness for all to see

Crooked frame on a white wall
why wasn't you adjusted?
wasn't your crooked stand exposed to every foreign eye?
or was your content so beautiful
that it captured the stare of all who glanced?

If so, it must have been content of pure gold
to have kept hungry eyes blindfold
Pretty much on this one, I try to convey a point which I hope y'all somewhat understand. The point being that even though crooked outside, the frame content inside attracts the 'hungry eye'. In essence, what's inside does matter and most times if not more, it matters more than the outside. So focus on making the inside 'pure gold', cuz that's what ppl(including me) look for.
Also, God looks at the inside too :)

Classical Trumpism: Judas makes a strong and powerful betrayal.

Neo-Classical-Trumpism: Adolph is a good friend of mine. He makes a strong
                           and powerful argument regarding purity.

Contemporary Trumpism: I love and trust my little buddy, Kim.

Modern Trumpism: Vlad, whom I trust with my marriage, makes a
                                   reel strong and powerful argument.

Trumpism:  Sad, Sad, Sad. Witch hunt. There was no collusion.

Neo-Trumpism: Crooked Malia and Sasha are to blame for the
collusion with Canada, Mexico and South America
.
If there are neo-nazis, there will be neo-trumps.
And the spelling of reel is what I intended.

my old futile dreams
make the windows all misty
ripping up the seams
blood mixed with ancient whiskey

a smile around the corner
lures the naive mind
******* up the world order
another death wish signed

overhead, brick by brick
the november wind stands still
heart oozing of homesick
empty thoughts my glass refill

delusions cover my sight
faraway lights blink with eager
fixing the crooked night
dinner with the grim reaper
A poem I wrote last year, which I someone managed to delete with my clumsy fingers.

A burnt tongue

a beautiful thought
must not fleet
a tortured soul
aint so sweet
a heart so cold

lacking heat
Kept you safe
under a silky sheet
yet
you ran away
on crooked feet

You're a piece of my dad
Sometimes I find him in your laugh
But then your smile goes crooked and your "bugs" act up again
You find clarity for a moment and then your thoughts become distorted
Was the habit to hard to break or did you think the promises I made for you were fake
You always told me every day to never give up why can you not wake up
Dad, Jake.. ?
What's your name ?
I feel like we're strangers and I feel like your love was fake
You took a piece of my sister's away and for that I'll never forgive you
Can't you see your own ****** mistakes
You're blind and they were right you are a snake
You fried your brains and I'm afraid it's to late
I can't save you unless you want to be saved

The sun has come up-
We are scarcely draped
In sheets and skin,
shadows and sweat thrown
Through cracked
crooked wooden blinds,
Uriel was
pouring sunshine into the
openings of our
broken shutters at dusk..
I could hear your blood rise-
black,
As a comets inner crust,
Raging down
From heaven
Restlessly escaping
Infinity.
Yet,
aimless.
Like a drunken scotch devil-
Searching for treasure
With the bottle as his shovel.
I could hear your pores erupting
Through tiny chasms of
Your skin,
I want you to know-
that
I love you
Perfectly/
Knowing now,
I have witnessed you,
How
raindrops
Are born
flying,
Not falling,
How they crawl down
The stomach of clouds,
Then dive into the stone,
The impact resonates
through everything/
Shaking silence from
The shingles of caves
Lodged deep
In the outstretched fingers of
Earth,
Beneath floating valleys
that are holy,
And secret streams rushing through
Mid heaven, dripping down
The staircase of wind crashing
Through rooftops,
Seeping through ceilings
Where sons and daughters
Dream,
a dream,
all things revealing!

gospel sounds

apparitions set sullenly

tip up their tuscany caps
twitching and sign gazing
with spectacles held firm

The warmth of life has come at last
to me along this spring time path.
Sweet fragrance floats on morning breeze,
while colors dance on plants and trees.
As orchids peek from under pines
I float off to past years and find
myself recalling days gone by
and always you who’ve said goodbye.

But while this past now flirts with me,
I take the time to let it be
and make a choice along my way
to seek out love another way.
I still recall what’s left behind
and in this heart will always find
a life that took a crooked path,
but now has found it’s own way back.

Time’s given me a second chance
to see life at a backward glace.
To learn at last from my mistakes,
so with this choice a chance I take.
To find another soul like mine,
and with that soul my life I’ll find.
My heart has come full circle now,
from life through death a blessed whole.

The taste of rust hangs
Heavy in my mouth
A copper color stains
My crooked teeth

I am awake now
Unlike how I used to be
Though my eyes were open
I was surely dreaming

The taste of rust hangs
Tangy on your lips
Blue twinges decorate
Your iced expression

Bound with veins
Of hope and smoke
We lie side by endless side
Entwined lost to the madness

Now the taste of rust hangs
Growing older still
Let me restore the flame
To the fire in your soul

You’re forcing my hand, forcing the lungs to constrict,
What will you do
with the bits of love I’ve left to you?

I don’t trust you anymore

“Nothing is wrong”,
Let it be known
I’ve just had a bad week,
Though that’s naive.
A crooked dream
I like to think
about.

I know I’m surrounded.
Blood red hair you dye to stay pretty,
Like the blood drawing sharks in calm waters.

— I guess I deserve it.

Each minute detail,
Slipping through the hands of god
Nature running out herself
Out into the great beyond.

I could never tell a lie,
Only spread a shallow truth
I could travel to the sky
Lifted on a holy tooth

But it's hard to scale--
It takes breath and blood
And that elusive summit
For all this mud!

And I may only ever reach its base.

But sink into the sky it did
And swallowed everything
I'm a man as sure as Mud

Workers of lawlessness, you think you know him
But you pray to a dead god; a god of fantasy
A false god of the pharisee
Thinking you'll be in a place that's heavenly
But he stops to tell you, "You don't know me."

You looked at the door, but there was never a knock
You thought your heart was flesh, but it was still a rock
You felt so Godly, but you follow the crooked path of the folly

Cause a wolf in the herd you still are
But still you don't know his name
When he called from afar
Only his sheep came.

People can fall into the habit of feeling low. We can get used to anything,
Especially bad things.
Doesn’t that scare you?

Get up off the floor.
Get dressed in something,
Light and flirty.
We WILL be getting *****.

Did you think the way up is easy?
I am teasing you,
It actually is.
First you raise your eyes

You make eye contact
With the first person you see,
Walking towards you.
They will look back at you.

They will first look confused.
Then look conflicted.
Do they know you
from somewhere?

The social awkwardness
Will try to stifle you.
Don’t drop eye contact,
Don’t blink.

Just slowly smile.
Let the smile calm this stranger
Don’t look away.
This is the best part

As you close the distant
And are ready to pass,
Say casually
“It’s a beautiful day, isn’t it?”

The person will relax
And their sweet smile will greet
The next stranger.
And they will make eye contact.

Something so simple,
Can not only make you feel
Connected and good
But you have paid it forward

To a stranger.

Let’s all start drawing straight lines
across this crooked world.
